So much wasted potential, this could be an amazing place to stay at.
For now its a great location and that's it, the hotel is poorly managed and maintained, from ripped carpet at hallways to mold in bathrooms, missing light bulbs, broken dirty furniture and super dirty windows and glass railing that makes it hard to enjoy the beautiful beach and ocean.
An absurd and lawsuit waiting to happen is a slider door to the balcony that can be opened only if you are strong and fit, and has no handle to open from the outside, and to make it worse it dosent have a lock.
The manager's attitude shines and followed by her stuff that instead of taking responsibility, act and solve issues, find excuses and blame the gusests (not only us, others as well), the manager attitude is a beacon to what happens in this place.
On top of all that the Wi-Fi is as slow as if its 2010 with dead zones at about 50% of the hotel, including inside the room.
This place was probably at some point a luxury hotel, but they dont deserve to call themselves that anymore, at best its a 3 star hotel at a great location.
Don't let the pictures or the misleading description of their website fool you, this is not what you get.
Time for corporate to take action and save this place.

A Wonderful Getaway
From beginning to end our stay was exceptional. Ganit who checked us in took incredible care of us throughout our trip. She always had a smile and treated us like family. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was large and beautiful. The pool area was magnificent and the breakfast was delicious. We would definitely come back to this hotel when we visit Hertzelia again.

I love this hotel. The staff are truly lovely to deal with, the accommodations are right on the beach, clean, feels like home. It's not the most lavish, but definitely luxurious enough. It is the most \"feels like home\" hotel. Sunsets on the water are spectacular. Close proximity to great restaurants.

We stayed at the Okeanos Herbert Samuel for 8 night in early June and had a spacious comfortable room with great pool facilities and breakfast. We loved the calm atmosphere and location to the beach.
When the war broke out the staff went above and beyond expectations making sure we had everything we needed and were all amazing in what was a very stressful time. The shelter on ground floor felt very safe and comfortable despite the number of time we went there. Limor and her team were exceptional and we can not thank them enough for all the support during a very difficult time for them all.
We will definitely be back again when we next return to Israel in hopefully more peaceful times

Beautifully positioned and very clean and comfortable. View from the atrium is beautiful. Steps down to a stunning stretch of beach. We were there when war with Iran broke out and the safe room was well equipped and comfortable. In these difficult circumstances the staff did all they could to help us.

Was alright. Breakfast was a bit in the boring side. Rooms have seen better days and the entire decor seems like it could use a little TLC. Staff are friendly and curtious. There's nothing wrong with it other than it looks a bit tired. Parking in the area is a nuisance and expensive if you can't use Pango.

The hotel is situated on the beach with spectacular views of the sea from most rooms, lovely varied breakfast, we were allowed to do a late check in to fit with my flight schedule at no extra charge. Highly recommend!!!

We stayed at the Suite and it was not clean. Candy near the door and a coffee tablet (the one that you put in the coffee machine) was behind the blinds.

Air con not working properly in first room. Took a determined effort to get the hotel staff on duty to acknowledge the issue before eventually moving us to a room where the air con was ok. Attitude problem! 2nd room comfortable & quiet.

We were kicked out of breakfast buffet right when we were going in to have some food. The lady checking guests in for the breakfast venue literally was shouting at us to leave for no reason after we told her our room number. Everyone there who were eating at their table, the chef who was flipping them omelets, the people picking some food from the biffet all were stunned at her yelling and were staring at her and us. We immediately left the place because of how rude she was being; I mean, Karens made more sense than this bish! Its not like we were missing out on anything cause their breakfast isn't even all that good.(No wonder it was free) But hey, atleast the view of the sea and the city was great!

Might be one of the most disappointing and worse hotels in Israel. Not my first rodeo vacationing in Israel- I know what I have to work with. Some hotels are great, some decent and some horrible. The problem starts when the hotel market itself as a luxury hotel, when in fact it’s far far away from it. You can not put the Satai/Herbert Samuel marketing stamp everywhere, and think it’s enough. Because it’s not. You want to be luxury? Great. Start with the culture of the company, the values that drives the employees and the way the guests are treated. Once you got that, you can now start working on the actual hotel- the rooms, the cleanliness, the amenities, etc. But it all starts with the values, culture, and the way guests are treated. I’ll give this hotel one big plus though- easy access to a beautiful beach!

The staff are super friendly and helpful. Located on the beach, so it's very convenient if you're on vacation. The views are nice and the area in general is very positive. However, if you don't have a car, getting in and out (as in going places and then back) can be a challenge. Food at breakfast is nothing too special but very nice. This biggest issue this place has is cleanliness. Rooms are made up daily, but that's limited to making the bed (no sheets change), putting a couple of bottles of water and changing towels. Dust can be seen on almost any surface in the room and the hotel in general. Room carpets are seriously stained. A vacuum cleaner was left by the cleaners in front of my door for a t least a 16 hours, I think they had just forgotten about it. Nice, visitor friendly place, but can be so much better by just being properly cleaned.

Order a deluxe room for the weekend with my wife. The room was dirty, mirror broken in half and had to ask for fresh bedsheets because they were with stains and hair. Finally at the evening of the first night it started leaking in the bathroom. I asked for a different room and the answer was no ( the guy called Leon at the desk tried to blame it on us and said that we opened the window that’s why the AC is leaking). After a sleepless first night at the hotel ( and a very expensive one) we I went down to talk to the manager and she straight away gave a us a better room ( upgraded one) and said that she is sorry for the inconvenience. From that point it was all good until the end of the stay. I will say that if not for that manager I would leave the hotel the same morning with my bags, I don’t understand why blaming your guests ( which paid with their hard earned money) for a problem with the infrastructure???

Stains on the curtains, walls, holes in the ceilings, bad smell in bathrooms... i could keep going. Had to change rooms 3 times until we were in something more \"decent\". Overall very dissapointing

OK hotel. Good location. Service poor.
Overall, the hotel was OK. The location is great. However the patio door to my balcony had a lock broken meaning it was always unsecured. I was on the second floor so moderate risk - enough to ensure I didn't leave any valuables/laptop at all in the room. Reported to reception, but no action taken. My bedroom was not cleaned one day which is always disappointing to return to after a busy day. Breakfast was quite basic, but reasonable.

We unfortunately were randomly selected at airport customs so instead of our check in being at around 3:30 pm, we got to the hotel at around 8 pm! We only planned on staying 1 night, so we missed out on the beach during the daytime. The receptionist upon check in was impolite. Never smiled even. When asking for a courtesy late check out due to our prolonged, exhausting stay at the airport after our international flight from the U.S., he said it was up to the manager in the morning to decide. No upscale hotel would respond like that - asking management in the morning would defeat the purpose of a late checkout i.e., requiring us to wake up early (and hope that they allow it). Nonetheless, manager in morning was polite and allowed an extra hour for check out. Condition of hotel is NOT worth the price. It's old and worn out. There was a huge crack in our mirror in the living room which I pointed out to front desk. Parking is first come first serve that night because the gate to the hotel parking lot was broken or locked and I was told to park at a nearby lot. We got lucky and found a spot. Room and sofa bed were not worth price at all. Pics of room on hotels.com make it seem the rooms are emmaculate and new. Not the case at all. However, hotel was a safe and in beautiful location. And the restuarant next door had good food and friendly owners. The lobby itself was beauitful and had lovely views of beach. Loved the complimentary cake &herbal teas in lobby

We arrived from America on an evening flight. There was no one to help with the luggage. We were not told that we needed a code to re-enter the Hotel from the beach when we checked in, so we had to walk around and re-enter the Hotel from the street. When we entered the Hotel the day clerk told us that when we checked in they should have told us.... a little frustrating. Hospitality is definitely something they need to work on.

We arrived and because our reservation was only made by accident for one person they charged us for the additional two people. We received towels at the pool that were disgustingly dirty. After checking in for the night, we discovered knats in our room. The front desk accommodated is by upgrading us to a bigger suite. Woke up to drilling in the am, and they compensated us by allowing us to go to breakfast.
