I booked for a friend. She had a cat and wanted ro be close to downtown without the expence. But, I was so embarrassed. This place is a dump! The halls were dirty and smelled bad. The room smelled even worse. I do not have one possitive thing to say about this place.

As soon as we walked in we couldn’t stay because it smelled of marijuana & urine. The lobby pictured on website is NO WHERE NEAR the actual lobby so that’s fraudulent. It was dirty, dark and filled with trash bags. The clerk was rude & apparently high since she barely could speak & when we needed cancellation proof for travel insurance refund she couldn’t accommodate so Expedia rep tried calling her and she picked up phone & hung it up 3 times in a row so Expedia had to email her. We saw rats in the parking lot going under the & the whole parking lot was dirty with garbage. I can’t even imagine anyone except a drug dealer or a “working” girl even staying there.

I was unimpressed with this hotel for one major reason. That reason was I went to the Cleveland Clinic for a doctor's appointment and missed my bus because the Uber mobile app malfunctioned. I only went to this hotel because it was the cheapest and cloest to my doctor's appointment. When I got to this hotel, they refused to give me the room on the sole reason I did not have an actual physical card in my possession. But I did have the virtual card on my phone and this hotel chain refused to give me a room. I would of went somewhere else if it was stated anywhere on the Expedia app, now I am out roughly $65.00 and had to stay in a homeless shelter for the night because this hotel chain would not honor or give me a room because I did not have the physical card. Also I would like to add, the card was in my name and I am an authorized user of her credit. The only reason why I have it is because it builds my credit, builds my mother's credit, and it is there in case of an emergency. This was an unexpected accomodation and I hope this review/critique helps the next person out who may be in the same situation I was in. Thanks for your time to review my post. I got what I paid for and I paid very little.

Two lamps in my room, but only one had a lightbulb. No garbage can in the room. The shower didn't have a light. A guy shuttling things in a shopping cart in and out of the parking lot for an hour at night.

No lights in my room. The sheets were HEAVILY stained. The bathtub was disgusting. Lobby smells like a cigarette factory, hallways smell like cat urine and fabuloso.

The room was overall neat, but the covers had stains. The stairs going to the room had urin all over them and stunk terribly. There was a sketchy guy walking through the halls all night which caused me to leave the hotel in the middle of the night. I would NOT recommend staying here EVER!

We ended up not staying at the hotel because the first room they gave us was extremely dirty with vomit on the side of the bed! The second room looked as if someone had already sleeped in the bed! The sheets were pulled back drawers were open. The worst thing was there were prostitutes outside the hotel! This was unacceptable!!!

I can not believe Wyndham allows there brand on this absolutely horrible hotel. I did not feel safe and was moved over to the sister property (a Travel Lodge), which was also bad but at least felt a bit safer. Just some details at Wyndham: The deadbolt was torn off the door (looked like someone kicked it in); there were cigarette burns in the blanket on the bed and bed bugs. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Like a crack den.

Booked based on photos and app reviews. Wish I had read google reviews before arriving and checking in. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful and the location was convenient. Otherwise, would not recommend. The property is run down and dirty. Our room had huge unpainted plaster patches on the walls and stains on the ceiling. The TV showed one local station. Despite advertising breakfast available, we only saw coffee. Pictures in the ads are very misleading.

Everything was just trash. This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in the US. There is no elevator. They didn’t give any tissue in the toilet before we checked in. The room were not clean. I stayed in many Days Inn hotel by Wyndham but this was the worst. Also the staffs are not cooperative. Everything smells like weed in this hotel.

By far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. Super dirty rooms, a dog had chewed the door to the bathroom and the door to the room from the inside. The wall in the bathroom had been ripped/chewed off. I would never suggest for anyone to ever stay at the hotel. The check in process was terrible, as the person behind the desk had no clue of the area or anything else. Told me the wrong hallway for the room. The \"breakfast\" consisted of one coffee dispenser, cereal, and 3 pieces of bread. It is insane that a hotel can stay open that looks like this. The property owner has more than likely never set foot inside the hotel. The people staying there and the random vagrants in the parking lot made us feel super unsafe. Horrible experience! 0/10

..and when I get the \"cleaned\" room...No Wifi, terrible bed, dirty pillow cases, bad smells, huge pot holes in the parking lot, cigarette butts in the hallway, spider webs in the stairwell....and no I'm not exaggerating. This is the WORST hotel I've ever stayed in. The WORST!!! But it's in the best part of the city. Walkable local shops, food and bars. Grocery and fast food all in walking distance. Beautiful homes to stroll and absorb. Quiet while still being busy and alive. Unfortunately this place could have charm and uniqueness...but in stead it looks like a literal horror movie. Shut this place down! Start over!

There was no top sheet or soap. The singular towel had holes in it, the bathroom door had 3 punched holes in it, the tiles were cracked and dirty, the carpet was lifted, the mirror wasn't hung, the tv didn't work, the 'breakfast' was pathetic, there wasn't even a toaster, the building reeked of canbabis, my room had an overwhelming stench of some cleaning product, there was no way to secure the window ajar to get fresh air, the hall flooring was in disrepair, the flooring in my room was rotted. I awoke to a gunshot this morning. Overall it was disgusting and I did not feel at all safe.

Very run down. Ripped curtain, no towel rack, no toilet paper holder. One towel. Bed had stains and dirt underneath. Everything was threadbare and no ice bucket. Pot holes in the parking area. Door was hard to open with the key. Outlets did not work. Tub was stained. Probably the worse hotel we have ever stayed in. At first staff was grumpy and rude, but by the third day were nicer.

We didn’t even bother checking in. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot we noticed the place looked run down and did not appear to be in a safe environment. Some of the windows didn’t even look like they functioned properly. Most of them appeared to be falling apart. Curtains were all in disarray. You could barely even tell it was a hotel. We did walk inside. Again, completely run down, unclean, and did not smell very appealing. We just left. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Numerous Hazards STAY AWAY

Reservation was 4 nights for $1,100. The first room smelled moldy. They put carpet cleaner down. I opened the ac unit that was on heat, not air, and it was covered in dust. The latch on the door was broken, which is a security hazard. They moved me to a “recently cleaned room” where I had repeated issues with my key card opening the door. The paint was peeling off the wall, there door did not seal properly, there was fire alarm literally hanging off the wall, and there was an electrical issue in the bathroom. Upon ordering dinner and realizing there is no mini fridge, I cleaned up my trash and saw that the chair at the desk was dirty with crumbs, there was a red stain on the wall, and a roach climbed up the wall near my food on the table. I checked out early and have been fighting for a refund since. Photos on the web are outdated. At least 5 others guests had similar problems and I watched as 2 of them immediately left at check in. DO BETTER.

Walked inn and was greeted by what appeared to be mold at the front desk at the vents. I couldn’t even pull into the property in the front and in the back there were massive pot holes. Upon entering the room which was blocked with literal trash from “house keeping” we were greeted with a mirror leaning in the wall. What appeared to be a Pooh next to the bed and a dead bee. There was a used razor in the bathroom and blood on the walls. I immediately booked another hotel an hour away because that was all that was available. There was a ton of trash including used bandaids under the bed but the lady claimed to have just fished cleaning the room. Check in was at 4 and it was nearly 8. The sheets had sketchy stains in them. I felt extremely unsafe and couldn’t leave fast enough. I have photos to prove this. Thes is not a Wyndham hotel this is where people go to overdose on heroin. When we walked out the lady asked if everything was okay and I was so uncomfortable saying what was wrong because she was yelling to her coworker about how the “monthly” guests trash the room and she can only do what she can. I grabbed my stuff and my niece and got in the car as quickly as possible. This place should be condemned. I’m already working with Expedia to get a refund but this is worth the attention of a billion dollar corporation as well. I paid over $600 for this room for 2 nights. This is where nightmares become reality.

In what world is this hotel okay to host guests. It’s filthy, falling apart and terrifying. We checked in, went to a concert and when we returned, we packed up and left. We only spent maybe 30 minutes in there and could not stand it. The entire time that we were at the concert we were worried that our room would be robbed.

One bed was broken. Stains everywhere. One stain on the wall looked like blood. The room was an inferno. The AC barely worked. The safety lock was broken.

When we arrived there was a woman that we think works there. She had no shoes on and was wearing pajamas.

We spent a fortune on this hotel of horrors and couldn’t even last an hour.

If you are looking for a clean place to stay close to Downtown Cleveland, choose this hotel. Everyone is super friendly and the housekeepers really go out of their way to accommodate you and any requests you may have (we wanted extras pillows and towels). There is a free breakfast and the wifi worked great. We were very comfortable here and will stay again when in Cleveland.

This is a great hotel in an awesome location. Our room was very clean and quiet. The hotel is located less than a 10 minute drive to Downtown Cleveland. The staff made me feel very welcome, especially Robert at the Front Desk. There are many restaurants and even the lake in walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel!

I was flabbergasted by how filthy and run down this property was. I knew we were getting a great deal for hotel in the heart of the city, but I trusted it, because it had the Days Inn name on it. I will know better next time. From the gigantic pothole in the tiny, ill-kit parking lot to how dirty everything was, to the broken foundation in the bed. It was ALL bad. The location of this hotel really cannot be beaten. If you are looking to be in the downtown area without the headache of parking downtown and the astronomical pricing, this is the hotel for you as its just a short drive to downtown Cleveland. Our room was clean and comfortable and we liked that there was free hot coffee, muffins, Danish, fruit, yogurt etc. in the morning. Free WIFI and parking was great as well. This will be my go to hotel anytime I need to be in the Cleveland area.

I really liked this cute hotel in the heart of Lakewood, just a short drive to Downtown Cleveland where I was attending an event. The staff were super accommodating and friendly. My room was clean and comfortable. There was a continental breakfast buffet which was great. I would absolutely recommend this hotel!

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. When I checked in, the woman at the desk was on the phone and let me stand there for more than 5 minutes. No \"I'll be right with you\" or anything.

I couldn't open the door to the room. She said I had to insert card while lifting the handle up. The maintenance guy was walking by, and he couldn't do it either. Finally she did it.

The room was filthy. There was a hanger sticking out of the bed. The main light barely worked. The bathroom was disgusting. I grabbed a towel, and it was wet. I had to put a/c on at 64 degrees because that was the only way to cool the room. They hadn't dusted. One of the lamps was missing its power button.

I've stayed in a lot of rooms, but nothing as bad as this.

This was THE WORST hotel ever. I wouldn’t put a homeless person here to get them off the streets!!! Totally disgusting, dirty, the toilet didn’t work, the shower (which we wouldn’t use) was behind a blacked out curtain, spiders in the sink, the mattress was flat against the box spring, no phone in the room and if breakfast was included (which we didn’t see or look for) I wouldn’t eat it anyway. We slept on top of the unmade bed. Blunts in the bathroom. I could go on!!! Rating -100

First we got keys that didn’t work, then they sent us to a room WITH SOMEONE IN IT, then they put us in a room without a lock on the door. Tired hotel past its prime in need of a lot of maintenance. Many window screens out of the windows and laying in the yard. Parking loft full of potholes, weeds knee high. Room was clean enough. Lights didn't work...on one, the switch was missing. No alarm clock or refrigerator in room. No mention of ice machine. No ice bucket or cups anyway. Got only conditioner, no shampoo. Floor of bathtub was squishy. No breakfast, or even coffee offered. The hallways were disgusting, muddy and footprint tracked, littered with trash, including cigarette butts, a cigar butt, and a used bandaid! Broken pieces of furniture and used mattresses were stacked in the hallway. My husband asked to see the room, and at least the bed seemed clean. I tried to get a room elsewhere, but what was available was either too far away from the hospital or way out of our budget. We needed a place near the Lutheran Hospital, as I had surgery scheduled for the next morning, and we have very little knowledge of the city.
While we didn't pay a premium price for the room, the picture on the site appeared acceptable. However, it was far from. We felt confident when we saw that it was Days Inn, by Wyndham that it would be satisfactory, but we won't make that assumption again. I think this franchisee needs attention, or you may want to reconsider putting your name on this property.

Looked to be low income housing for homeless. Room was filthy, check in area filthy with what appeared ti be black mold around all the air vents and on ceiling and walls. Room that was reserved was not available. Carpet was so gross in the room that we took a loss and did not stay. Also only 1 towel and no toilet paper in room. Do not stay here!

Lakewood Days Inn Wyndham a huge disappointment

I booked a room at The Lakewood Days Inn Wyndham through Hotels.com based on previous stays at other Wyndham properties. Unfortunately, upon arrival we found this particular property is rundown, the lobby and check-in areas are marginal at best in cleanliness and furnishings. I explained to the desk clerk we were not comfortable staying there and why. She replied she completely understood. For $258 for 2 nights we expected something decent, but found it subpar. The manager refused to refund any of our money, even a partial refund. I would not recommend.

dont stay here. this place is gross, the pictures are probably from 10 years ago. the girl at the front desk clearly doesnt want to be there and is vert curt, the countertop was sticky, the floors were sticky and dirty, the bathtub had literal dirt all over the bottom, the bed was uncomfrotable, the pillows were lumpy, the place has clearly not been upkept and the parking lot was ful of huge potholes. place smelled of frat house in the 70s. overall a really bad experience and not impressed for the price even if it was under $100. spend the extra 30 bucks and stay somewhere else

Have never stayed in a hotel room so bad. Carpet hasn’t been vacuumed, toilet seat doesnt fit toilet, plaster repair on wall not painted, who knows what is on the ceiling, 2 lamps between beds but only one has a light bulb in it, sheets are dirty, large pot holes in parking lot, one at least 6” deep. I can show pictures if you want!

Unbelievably disgusting

This was the most extraordinarily awful experience I have ever had. It looked nothing like the pictures. The hallways were dark and littered with trash everywhere. There was a bag o trash next to my nightstand, the shower had hair and stains in it and a used washcloth, the bathroom had a soaking wet pair of boxer briefs and there were napkins everywhere. The sheets clearly were not clean.
This place should be shut down.
