From the moment we walked in we wanted to run no floors have been swept there was food on the steps (not on plates) the room wasn’t very clean bathroom was gross we went back to the desk to say we were going somewhere else the girl at the desk was fantastic (wish we got her name) she called ahead and got us into a sister property she went above and beyond it was a lot better the Ramada we realized that the 1st had few stars but we’ve never been disappointed in a wyndum hotel in the past

The facility was in terrible condition! We checked in and paid for a weeks stay however we couldn’t stay for 5 minutes. The hotel had not been cleaned in quite a while. The floors were filthy. There was some kind of drinks spilled in the window sills, the bed had cigarette ashes on the bed, the bathtub was black with dirt and mold. The ceiling tiles were falling down and stained and the door had been obviously been kicked in and the lock was hanging off. We went down stairs and told them we couldn’t stay because of the condition of the property and were told good luck getting your money back! It’s been about 2 weeks since and we have been getting the run around from them. Looks like the clerk was right! Good luck getting our money back! We were there for a family member in hospice who ended up passing. This was the worst way to lose $650.00 and had to pay to stay somewhere else on top of it!

Terrible. The first room had a heater that did not work. The TV did not work in this room either, and they provided us with no towels in the bathroom. When we booked this room, it stated that it had a pull out in the king size room. It did not have a pull out. They switched us rooms and the heater did not work either. Unbelievable. The second room had no towels either. When we asked for towels the man upfront said he needed to dry some. He said give us 30 minutes and we would have towels. Once we got the towels, we realized we only had one real towel, and the others were dirty floor towels. All the towels were also stained. The guy upfront was rude, did not have breakfast done on time, and was sleeping behind the front desk. We had to go to target just to get correct towels. We also had to get a blanket as the ones provided were just not enough. Especially in a room that doesn’t have a heater. The place was also just filthy. It was obviously they had no care for their property. Junk everywhere and the sheets on the bed were stained. It can go on and on, but do not stay here.

This was the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. The lights were out in the building, there was trash placed everywhere, the floor looked like it has never been vacuumed, my ‘clean’ bed had eyelashes in it, there were no towels, no toilet paper, the heat didn’t work in the room, and there was no staff working. I was downstairs with 4 guests that were waiting to check in, one’s ‘new, clean’ room was completely trashed with fake nails and food in it, and another one’s key card wouldn’t work. There was nobody there in the entire building. We looked. Would NEVER stay here again.

The staff was nice to me when I checked in. But the heater did not work, and it was the dead of winter, and I was FREEZING. there were no sheets on the beds. I took the thin comforters from both beds and doubled them up and slept with my winter coat and all my clothes on, covered in pillows, trying not to freeze. The shampoo bottles in my room were empty. At breakfast they had a waffle making machine but no waffle batter. All they had was some raisin bran and juice. The cold was what really got me. Sorry to the kind staff for this bad review. I don't think it is your fault.

I paid for a kings room cause on the website it said there was like 4-5 left , once I got there they told me they don’t have any kings room available so they gave me a double bed room , once I entered the room it was obvious it wasn’t clean properly , there were loose hairs all over the bathtub , bathroom sink , on the bed , and the bed sheets had weird random stains that looked like blood , stains all over the bathroom walls and around the room as well , and the mini fridge and microwave were not cleaned which seems like for a very long time , I felt very uncomfortable and disappointed

AC/heater controls were broken, tub didnt have any support under it causing it to flex when in it. The main light didnt work, paint on the mini fridge was bubbling up due to rust. Parking lot isn't secure with a lot of foot traffic going through it at all hours. It was cheap so i got what i pay for.

1st room we were in:

-When we left in the morning there were thousands of mosquitos getting in everything and leaving blank spots on our van.

Positive things:
-Parking was convenient
-They did now us to a second room when the first room was not acceptable.
-The bed was good.
-The was quick hot water in the shower

Didnt have my suite. 30 minutes and two higher up calls to get me into a room. Couldnt key card into room three trips downstairs and waiting finally get inside. Tv didnt work figured out was hdmi cable loose and wiggled and found out tv had to be angled differently than at the bed to work because of tv connection and remote didnt eork tv other than volume. Found buttons on side and had to go to settings to work cable. Watched 3/4 of a movie took a shower saw bugs in bathroom .. left 2.5 hours after walking in.

And they said i couldnt be reimbursed, the money difference from the king size suite to the little ass king room they gave me

Room was given only a light surface cleaning. Bathtub not even wiped out, hair on drain. First room had bag around smoke detector. Second room had no towels, only fitted sheets (didn't look washed), pillows were enormous and not practical. Air conditioner worked well. Definitely a bare minimum hotel experience. Glad I only needed to stay one night. Got what I paid for, I suppose.

Room was good, clean and everything from towels to coffee was stocked up in the room. Only complaints with the room is there was a half drank water bottle in the fridge so it clearly didn’t get opened and cleaned out. The staff seemed like they just didn’t want to be there. When I went to check in the woman didn’t even look me in the eyes and seemed annoyed that she even needed to check me in at all. Person in the morning when I checked out had the same type of vibe. The only other thing I have to complain about is the breakfast. I wasn’t expecting 5 star or anything but the milk and orange juice containers were disgusting. There was old congealed milk around the spout. The syrup for the waffles tasted like it was expired. The batter for the waffles didn’t seem mixed at all. All in all it was nothing more than a place to sleep and the room in which I did so was in good condition.

This is without hesitation, the worst experience from any stay chosen from the hotels.com app.

I would like a full refund. Upon arriving apparently they were short staffed, and we were ‘helped’ by the maintenance man. He gave us 2 key cards, neither worked. Because the maintenance man doesn’t know how to program the key cards, he gave us A MASTER KEY, this is not a joke.

Upon entering this filthy room, we were completely disgusted by the dirt, no bed spread, no phone, no alarm clock, no towels, notes in the table from a previous guests. We were in town for an Eric Clapton concert and needed to head to the arena.

When we returned, the remote didn’t work for the tv, so I requested another room. It is now around 3am, the clerk gave us the one ‘available room’ (apparently this is know as an hourly sex hotel, which we learned at lunch the next day when the bartender told us how sorry he was that we were staying there) . The room he gave us was a handicap room. The bathroom door didn’t shut, again no phone or clock, someone’s leftover food in the fridge, something on the floor?? Completely disgusting. I tried to speak to a manager but, the new employee clerk said that they didn’t have one at the moment. I took some pictures that I hopes I be able to include.

3 times was not a charm

Close to downtown with out the downtown price but paid our dues anyway. Had to be moved 3 times. All rooms were dated, had dirty carpet and had not be cleaned. The icing on the cake was the condom wrapper on the floor and used wet towel hanging on the bathroom door. The attendant blamed housekeeping. Travelodge should be concerned about their brand and standards but clearly are not. Dont stay there!

Overall the hotel was clean….however the door did not lock from the outside…we were told the light just didn’t come on when you swipe the key card. Then when we asked the front desk about it they said didn’t I tell you that. We could atleast lock the door from the inside while sleeping. Outdated place needs some new paint and carpet. Also no fitted sheet on the bed and no comforter just a thin almost like sheet to cover up with.

Such a terrible place, we were there for an hour before decided to leave to another hotel. Building is very old and not renovated whatsoever. First room we were put in the AC did not turn on, we were told it would kick on after some time and that the front desk worker had checked all the rooms that morning. We left for lunch to give it time to kick on and when we returned it still had not. I asked to move rooms as it was muggy and the bathroom was not completely cleaned out. We were moved one room down and when I attempted to use the key it did not work. Attendant remade the keys and attempted himself still with no luck in opening the door. He used the master key and it had worked, so he told us we would need to get someone to open the door for us every time. We got in the room to settle in and when we used the bathroom there was a very old and dirty bra hanging on the back door. Makes it hard to believe these rooms had been properly cleaned anytime recently. After all that we had decided we were uncomfortable and frankly disgusted with the place. We checked out and no compensation was offered or accepted when I asked. I understand this is a cheap option, but with the way they run this place it should be charged by the hour. Very disappointed in every aspect of the experience with this hotel. I had left my information when I was told there was no management on site and was never reached out to.

The place was covered in mold. The tiles were falling out of the ceiling of the bathroom. The windows had a layer of grime that has been there since the Reagan administration. The windows were also open and no way to lock them. The lock on the door was busted.

We checked in, and within 30 minutes I was checking out. The very unfriendly staff asked why and I said “it’s filthy.” They replied with “yeah.” No surprise, just “yeah.”

WE DIDN'T STAY! Upon arrival the outside of the building looked nothing like the photos on the website. We were concerned about that, but the lobby didn't look too bad. We had to wait just under 10 minutes for the receptionist to return to the front desk. We were supposed to check in to room 201, the room was hot and dingy. After messing with the AC unit for a few minutes trying to get it to work we requested another room. The receptionist gave us keys for room 202, but the key cards didn't work. My husband went downstairs twice with issues of the key cards not working in the door. The receptionist finally came up with us to the room and had to let us in with a master key. Upon inspection of that room, it was also very dingy everywhere and the bedding looked as if it was all wrinkled and not clean. The AC worked in that room but there wasn't a remote for the TV, however there was a tv on the wall and one on the floor, it was so bazaar. After our awful experience in the first 20 minutes of our arrival, we decided we weren't even staying there, it was a dump! The receptionist couldn't help me much with a refund but gave me an email for the property contact. I also contacted Neeta via the live chat on Expedia's website requesting a refund for this booking since we didn't even stay and it was one of the worst experiences and ruined our weekend where we were moving our daughter into college and hoping to get part of Sunday with her. So disappointed!

This was the worst experience i ever had with a hotel. It started with front desk manager, wanted to charge 100.00 early check in at 3:00 and the room wasn't even ready. It clearly states on a sign by front desk check in 3:00 check out 11:00. She was the rudest front desk manager i ever encountered. We finally check in at 4 and the room was filthy, my daughter refused to get a shower cause it was so bad. Mirror in bathroom was broke, an awful smell. For 500.00 a night it was a total rip off. Wyndham should be ashamed of themselves.

This place was bad from the start. Check in was supposed to be at 3. We arrived around 2ish. Normally the charge $20 or $25 (not sure which) to check in early & you can use card. They told us we could check in early for $100 cash. Seems super fishy. Since we didnt pay the $100, here was no check in till 4. We arrived back around 3:30 & there were multiple people waiting to check in. So instead of starting to get people in they waiting til after 4. Almost everone was there for a concert that night. We were all late. Once they started to check people in, it didnt last long as after the 1st person there were no more rooms available. How does this happen? Check out is at 11am. We are now at 430pm & no rooms are ready? When asked about some money back for any of the inconvenience, we were told NO. They arent allowed to refund. We waited for our room while others were given rooms that werent cleaned yet just to change quick and leave for the concert. We get to our room and it was just ok. It looked like a rundown room from a 90s movie. The lock on the door was missing, the bathroom still had hair in the tub and there was stains everywhere (beds, chair, curtains, bathroom shower curtain). Im glad we were only there 1 night. I honestly wouldnt recommend this place to anyone unless it was a last resort. There isnt even a bathroom in the lobby to use while you wait to check in. Travelodge, never for me again. I still think the upcharged price of $100 to check in early was a scam!!

Was told early check in was $23 when I called on Wednesday for my Saturday stay but when we arrived early we were told $100. Came back at 4 and rooms were not ready, so not sure what that $100 would have done. Girl working desk very rude, night guy drinking Busch light there. Had to leave our stuff and head out to concert. We couldn’t even get into the room until after 5! We asked them to not throw away our food/even left a note to double confirm it and they still threw it out. We had no towels and our stuff moved. They Left someone’s old tooth brush along with other trash in our room too. Our key cards didn’t work when we came back that night. Random iron board in the room. The staff was just rude and under prepared for this weekend. Breakfast is a joke there, cold stuff left opened & 2 options- cereal and old bagels…area needs cleaned. The door to our room doesn’t fit inside the frame of wall so we heard everything and light from hall came through. We will not be back.
The positive? The beds were comfortable.

We paid for the hotel online and when we got there early we could only check in early if we paid $100 cash only. No keys would be given until they had $100 cash. People in front of us paid online for early check in and were told their payment had not gone through yet so they had to pay $100 cash. This is only due to the fact that everyone was in town for a concert or ball game and they knew people would pay it so that they wouldn’t have to wait until 4pm to check in. Which by the way, the sign above the front desk said check in time was 3pm. But no, that sign was wrong and it’s 4pm unless you pay $100 cash. No towels in room when we got in but there were coffee packets with no coffee maker to make it in. Dirty. Large air conditioner couldn’t cool down a small room. But the positive is that it’s a great neighborhood that’s quiet and we felt safe. About a mile down the road are great restaurants and shops. Close to the train if you decide to take that downtown.

Terrible! Dirty! Stained mattress, sheets & towels. Food left in fridge, ac didn’t work, vents were nasty. Dead roaches on floor along with trash. Toilet not attached to floor. The desk person was really great, did everything he could to help. He went out of his way on many levels. Made sure my motorcycle remained secured safely.

*What I didn’t like was the neighborhood… and its police activity. BUT most importantly the condition of the room.. I slept fully clothed. Did not use the restroom, or take my shoes off. There was food left presumably from the previous guest. It was exceptionally dirty complete with odor.

My stay at the Travelodge was a little below average. The staff was nice and friendly, I had decent snacks from the vending machines, and I have had decent amenities in my room including bathroom supplies, a microwave, and a mini fridge. I have had some issues with the toilet. Whenever I flushed the toilet, it started to leak a great amount of water on the floor, causing it to sometimes flood the bathroom floor. The shower also didn't have a second shower curtain, which caused a lot of water to run on the floor. The bathroom light wouldn't turn off, because it was broken. I can't say that my room was sparking clean, but it was very spacious. A recommendation would be to add some air freshener. My room kind of smelled musty. If I were to stay here again, I probably would. For a 2-star hotel, I think I paid a decent price.

The hotel room itself looked to not be cleaned. There were splatters on the wall and residue left on all surfaces. The door trim had been broken, it appears someone had successfully broken through door as there were two nails holding it together. The king bed had two top sheets, no blanket and two small pillows. The breakfast is a waffle machine that says “Do Not Use” and mini muffins purchased from the Walmart bakery. We also had issues with our room key to the point that the front desk had to let us in rather than getting us a new room.

We were in Cleveland attending an event at Huntington Bank Field and chose this hotel because of how close it was to the event. We were not disappointed! It took us less than 10 minutes to drive down there. The area is beautiful, just across from the lake. We were able to walk to the beach and there were many shops nearby. Lakewood is absolutely beautiful. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were all so friendly. Parking was super easy and we had no issues at all. Good job Travelodge Cleveland Lakewood!

Truly a hidden gem, my family and I were pleasantly surprised to find this quaint and comfortable hotel across the street from Lake Erie. A short drive to Downtown Cleveland, less than 10 minutes. The area is beautiful and feels very safe and inviting. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and night life. Our room was very clean and the mattress was amazing. The staff was super helpful and made us feel right at home. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone that is traveling to the Cleveland area, especially if you need to be in Downtown Cleveland.

The hotel has not been updated in years. While not outright dirty, paint was peeling and the room and bathroom looked like it couldn’t be cleaned. The halls and room smelled of cigarette smoke and weed. The back parking lot security camera was broken and we worried the truck and trailer would be broken into. The doors to the outside were not locked. The location of this property could be a great sell given its proximity to downtown Cleveland and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I cannot believe it is a Wyndham property and makes me question ever staying in a Wyndham property again.

Stained sheets, bugs crawling around, somebody put a plastic bag over the smoke detector, the air conditioner didn't work, there was no screen in the window, etc.... it was probably cleaner after i left, since i cleaned up the tables the air conditioner and the window sills.

Booking this hotel so close to Lake Erie and the beach was the reason that we made the reservation. Upon entering the facility, the stale smoke smell permeated the lobby and hall as well as dealing with the dazed and confused counter attendant was pretty off-putting start to our stay in our 1st-ever trip to Cleveland. Dragging our luggage up the stairs (there's no elevator, folks!) and entering the dirty, musty hallway was just another demerit on the property.
Entering the room, now that was bad! The carpet was so dirty and moldy. Both the microwave and refrigerator had food/drink residue from previous stays. Both bed comforters had stains on them. There were empty bottles and cans found under the bed as well as a lighter with other trash. The bathroom...equally as bad. Hair all over the baseboards and in the corners. Both the tub and the toilet had a ring around it. We had to go...after over 5 minutes. The desk clerk was again, nowhere to be found and when she arrived offered no help to resolve our refund. Manager and General manager can only be contacted via e-mail and not responded in over a week to numerous attempts. The hotel took our hard-earned money, kept our hard-earned money and offered no help in the matter. I repeat...DO NOT STAY HERE!

When we checked in the woman didnt tell us what our room number was, where the ice machine was, about breakfast and treated is like we were stupid when we asked if the room was on the second floor. Once we got into the room the carpet was filthy, there were still marks by the tv of drnks that had gotten warm and dripped all over. Someone also smoked in the room before us. There was a juice cap on the a/c unit that was full of ash and ash all over the a/c unit. The room was so warm when we got in i turned the a/c on and cleaned up the ash. I didnt want to get blamed for someone smoking in there when I have never smoked in my life. We left to get dinner and let the room cool down. It didnt at all, so we left to go to a concert and the room STILL hadn't cooled down when we came back. There was also no soap in the bathroom and barely any toilet paper. The inside of the tub had bugs in it as well. I washed that out with the shampoo before I showered the next morning. I dont think the room had been cleaned at all, just bed made and towels put in there.

My recent stay at the Travelodge Cleveland Lakewood, necessitated by a flight cancellation, was a dehumanizing and insulting ordeal. I wouldn't have stayed here under any other circumstance, but I was absolutely stuck in the middle of the night with a child in tow and no other accommodation was available in the area for booking. This establishment has absolutely no regard for basic hygiene or safety standards, and it is frankly unfit for human habitation.
From the moment I arrived, the pervasive smell of dampness and filth in both the lobby and the room was deeply unsettling. The conditions were an atrocity, and the cost of $197 for this single night only compounds the insult.
The lack of cleanliness was staggering and egregious. The carpets in the room were disgustingly dirty, with visible debris and grime covering the floor. The bedding, horrifyingly, had pubic hair on it, confirming the linens had not been properly cleaned. In the sink, I found a repulsive clump of hair. The walls were stained with grotesque wetness marks.
The room was also a clear safety hazard. Dilapidated furniture and broken, antiquated lamps were present, but most alarming was the exposed, random wire sticking out from under the bed.
I have meticulously recorded and photographed these appalling conditions. This Travelodge is a disgrace and a severe violation of customer standards.

Hotel was very sketchy with a lot of undesirable people around. Checked in and room was dirty with a used condom on floor, pizza boxes on bed, blood stains on carpet. Staff asked us if we wanted another hotel as she could tell me and my dad didnt belong.

The customer service was great!

Cleanliness and upkeep needs a lot of work. We checked in at 1:45am, opened the door to our room, the room was 90degrees and had a bad smell. We turned the air on right away. Went into the bathroom to find it very dirty. Ring around the toilet, no toilet paper, nasty toe nail clippings on the floor.

They switched us to a different room where the air conditioner didn't work that well. We decided to go back to the original room so we could at least sleep in air conditioning.

We would have went to a different hotel but we were so tired from driving from Chicago so we toughed it out.

Hotels.com i think you should do better with selections that aren't this bad.
