I had to move rooms to a smaller one because the sliding door lock was broken and it was on the first floor. I wasn’t given credit for the downgrade. The place overall is outdated but also not very clean. They don’t offer coffee in the morning except you can buy overpriced coffee from Starbucks. It’s definitely not worth the price and I’d rather stay elsewhere next time.

Toilet was broken moved rooms the next day. Pool was freezing cold. Hot tub wasn’t hot until after noon the second day. Rooms were clean. But the pool room and bathrooms by pool were disgusting. Asked for money off or free night the next time and lady at desk acted like the money was coming out of her pocket..sad

The staff was amazing. The room was adequate. However, the mattress was lumpy to the point where there was a divot in the mattress itself, and the tub was less than ideally clean (stains that may have been difficult to get out). The rest of the room was fine and I cannot praise the staff enough.

Most hotels have coffee in lobby, but this one has a Starbucks. So I had to pay $5 for a cup of coffee. I will not stay in a Courtyard by Marriott again. Marriott lost me as a customer for the cost of a cup of coffee. Congratulate whatever executive responsible for this for their good business decision,

Nice cleaning staff. Large room with large counter and extra sink was helpful for our long stay. My sister‘s room Wi-Fi did not work and the TV did not work and when she asked the front desk about moving rooms, one particular staff person was rude about it. They did eventually let her move rooms.

It was fine for a not even 8 hour stay to be close to the airport for an early flight. We were first given a half cleaned room with a very musty smell. The elevator seemed like it was going to give out at any moment. The staff was really nice though so that’s a plus.

The cleanliness was not up to Marriott standards I have experienced in the past from other Marriott hotels. The elevator carpets were torn and dirty. The elevators themselves needed some repair and maintenance - were jerky and noisy. My bathroom shower had some mold in the corners. The heating/cooling unit would shut off during the night and the room would be too warm. In addition, there was no switch to keep the fan blowing to keep circulation going in the room,. The outside of the windows had a thick layer of dirt/dirty film on them and appeared to have not been washed in many months. None of this is the Marriott quality I have enjoyed in past stays with Marriot.

First room I was given had several industrial fans in drying up some sort of water damage. Second room smelled pretty bad of water damaged carpets(very musty). I suspect they have leak issues and just dry out the carpets without any cleaning process. Either way the room smelled pretty unbearable and I spent most of the night out of it and when I returned I had to keep the AC on and the window open all night. I stay in many hotels traveling for work but wouldn’t stay here again. Holly on the Front desk was wonderful but being let down by the state of the hotel. Needs renovating badly, walls and furniture in the rooms also need sprucing up.

Our first room 335 had broken vertical blinds so we could not shut them. We asked to move to another room, the lady named Holly, was very nice and tried to accommodate us. We were moved to a room on the first floor, room 102, which did not have two queen beds as we first requested but a king bed which was fine. This room had drapes that actually opened and closed but the lighting was very dark. The bulb above the dresser near the TV was burned out and well as the bulb above the counter with the coffee pot.

Well, let’s start the first night. We got there, which was Friday. We were told when we went to the bistro that we cannot have anything fried or any kind of a side dish. The only thing that we could have is a sandwich because that’s all they had then the next night we went to the hot tub and when we were in the hot tub, we noticed a couple bugs we got out in the hot tub stopped, and we looked at it, and the whole hot tub was full of bugs. The same night about eight people decided they were going to go sit on the patio until 130 in the morning until everybody started complaining, and they finally made them go in they were also smoking and drinking on the patio, which wasn’t supposed to be permitted. The refrigerator turns off every two hours so you have to re-put it back on every two hours I mean it should stay on for at least 12 hours, but it doesn’t and there’s absolutely no clock in the room then as I was in the room I noticed it was a piece of candy between the bed and the nightstand. I looked up at the ceiling and there’s this whole big brown section of nothing but dust bunnies and stains on the ceiling. There’s no Kleenex in the room. And there was some kind of brown unidentified stuff on the curtains. The other thing I don’t understand is you give us a balcony with the patio door but there’s no furniture. For the price of this hotel I was so extremely disappointed. I would never recommend it to anybody and I would never go back. And the couch was ripped

The stay was just okay. Hotel needs updating and \"conveniences\" need fixed. 2 out of the 3 ice machines didn't work. Screen door of room balcony was bent and unable to slide. No hooks to hang anything in bathroom. And my kids almost got stuck in the elevator. Cost of room was not worth the quality. And a bottle of water should not cost $4!

Best thing about our stay was the front desk personal. Especially Holly. Who when our toilet wouldn't flush, came to our room herself (no maintenance crew) to fix it at 11pm one night. Then proceeded to mop the bathroom herself.

Definitely not the Courtyard experience I am used to getting!! When we arrived, we used the luggage cart but the wheel was semi-broken so it was extremely difficult to use. When I mentioned it to the front staff, they said they knew it was broken but didn't know where the other one was. We had 5 people in our room, but only 2 towels. I had to ask housekeeping for more towels. We got to our room and our toilet didn't work so maintenance had to come change the inside parts to make the toilet work. Our air conditioner was clearly broken and wouldn't keep the room cool. Luckily it was only 75 degrees outside so we kept the window open, but at night we were super hot. We took the kids to the pool and after about 10 minutes, my son discovered feces in the pool. We immediately made the kids get out and when I told the front desk person, she acted like this wasn't a big deal. And never did we see them drain the pool, so hopefully they shocked it, because they kept it open but we refused to allow our kids to go back in.

The property is tired and needs a PIP (property improvement plan). Rust on the bathroom door, inadequate storage space for clothes for a stay longer than a few days, bathroom countertop is small and inadequate for two adults (& BTW below standard). No tea bags in the room. Oh, Starbucks is not good for everybody; i.e. not everyone like an overpriced cup of coffee. A/C was adequate! Some roadside rest areas have thicker toilet paper.

We checked in and although they were friendly they iffered no assistance at all. I told thme we were staying here because of medical trip for my husband and we qere exhausted, i asked where the luggage racks were and the response \"Probably in a hallway somewhere \". Now there were 2 people \"working\" the front desk. One of them shouldve offered to go get us one. Nope they both acted like I didnt matter THEN when i came walking in clearly struggling with many bags both looked away and avoided even making eye contact ! No offer of help no nothing. Why even be in customer service if you are this obvious and inconsiderate!

Got there close to midnight and the person at front desk was engaged in a long conversation while others were waiting. At that time of night, people want to get in their room and sleep. The room was very outdated throughout and a small outdated TV, blackout curtains were torn. Not worth $210.

The hotel was quiet, but definitely needs some updating. The room had a great desk setup that wheeled away separately, which was convenient for my use. The staff here was really nice, though they were woefully understaffed — sometimes quite long lines at the front. The ice machines were broken on several floors — having to go to the lobby to ask for ice was a bother. The TV in the room was quite small (made reading captions a challenge while viewing from bed).

I found the room clean and comfortable as well as the property as a whole. I love the fact that it was in the middle of many different areas I traveled to during my stay. I have one small complaint and that is there wasn't a microwave in the room. But in the grand scheme of things that is seriously minor. I still would not only recommend to anyone looking in thaat area to stay there,but also I would stay there again in the future.

This was by far my worst experience.

My colleague and I were on a business trip and had booked two rooms at the Courtyard by Marriott Cleveland Westlake, securing them with a credit card, To our surprise, when we arrived, we were informed that the hotel had oversold and no rooms were available for us.

It’s unacceptable that a major hotel chain like Marriott would allow this to happen, how can they sell rooms that were already booked and confirmed with a credit card? If this is how they treat their customers, I will never stay with Marriott again.

Avoid this chain at all costs.
