This is a lovely, comfortable historic property. We stayed in the least expensive room on the ground floor, and really appreciated the communication about it facing the parking lot in advance. The room was bright, immaculate and spacious. Plenty of fluffy towels and nice smelling bath products. This property is second to none for its gorgeous views of Lake Ontario, we loved having breakfast outside. The service was professional and non intrusive. We would definitely stay again!

We recently booked a one-night stay at The Bank House B&B and had a wonderful experience. We stayed in the Gallery Room, which featured access to a balcony with beautiful views of the park and the lake. The room was charming, spotless, and thoughtfully appointed with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Breakfast was included and absolutely delicious. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, always available to answer questions or provide assistance.
We would highly recommend The Bank House B&B to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

I really appreciate the kindness of the staff at The Old Bank House. And the views are wonderful especially from our room (The Pine room). My only critique is that the air conditioning was not as high as it felt warm at times in our room. Overall, however, it was a wonderful experience!

We loved how we can sit on the porch until late at night to watch the river while enjoying tea and coffee. And that we could have a fresh cooked breakfast outside. Now I dont want to stay anywhere else when in NOTL! A small suggestion to improve the vibes in the room: put the toiletries in pretty containers instead of the plastic bottles they came in. Also, the platform going to the shower was a bit of a hazard, we tripped a couple of times, luckily no major falls. Maybe you can put something there to remind people of the platform and prevent tripping. Also, parking was a bit tight! Otherwise, we had a relaxing and pleasant stay.

We stayed the night over the July 4th weekend. The weather was warm and the air conditioning was quiet and the room was comfortable. The room was clean though the bathroom sink ran slow. Mary Claire who is the hostess for the reidence was great, very kind, patient and helpful. The breakfast was lovely which we enjoyed on the outdoor garden patio with a view of the lake. The establishment has available parking with a few spaces at the B&B with overnight parking allowed very close by. We arrived during an artfair so street parking was full but fortunately we got a space at the residence. By 5 pm the streets were clear so parking otherwise would not have been an issue. The house is within easy walking distance of the downtown historic district that has many shops and places to eat.

A perfect stay! Extremely organized with clear, timely instruction for self entry/check in. Easily accommodated a late check in, and was able to leave car on site before the room was even ready which helped so much. Breakfast instructions were clear. Both floors have 24/7 water and coffee which was extremely helpful for hot days/early mornings/afternoon pick me ups without spending extra money elsewhere. The Rose Room was gorgeous, and so calming after a day out with a nice sitting area so you don't have to sit on the beds. The view is great. You won't be disappointed. I felt proud to host my international guests here!

Very nice place to stay. Stuff is very helpful especially lady who serves breakfast. Breakfast could be set inside or outside. Having nice weather we enjoyed our outside breakfast with a nice view.
The only minus- rooms are not soundproof. That is understandable- it’s a historic property but the sound of running shower at 6 am from guests next door was actually deafening.
Otherwise I would recommend it completely

My friend from Japan and I had an amazing stay at this beautifully maintained cozy B&B. We stayed in the Cedar Room on the second floor with a balcony. The room was spacious and loved the antique decor. The Inn is located just across from the lake and we throughly enjoyed our walks in the evening and the morning. The young lady who welcomed us and also served us breakfast was very pleasant and made our stay even more enjoyable. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We really loved our stay here. The Old Bank House B&B has done an amazing job of preserving their history. We enjoyed looking at all of their historic heirlooms in the living room. Their attention to detail was impressive - the cleanliness, the comfort and decor, their wonderful breakfast and lovely sitting areas inside and out were top notch. Everyone who worked their was very kind and helpful. We loved the proximity to the lake and the main part of town too. We look forward to returning again!

We had an exceptional stay at The Old Bank House, Gallery room. It was a peaceful spot, with a balcony off the room, with beautiful view of the park and lake. 5 delicious breakfast options, coffee/tea available all day long, and very friendly welcoming staff. Having stayed previously at high end hotels in the NOTL region, we have now decided to switch to The Old Bank House instead. Much more personalized and welcoming, in lovely neighbourhood within walking distance of all attractions.

What a gem of a place! Full of character and charm, while still being high quality and feeling like you’re having a real treat by staying there. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, including with their communication beforehand. Car park is small but there’s plenty of street parking right in front of the property and they’ll reimburse you for this if you’re unable to get a space in their car park (ie if they’re fully booked and you’re last to arrive, which is what happened to us) - thought this was a really nice touch. The room (pearl room for us) was beautiful and spotlessly clean, as were all the communal areas. It was a little hot at night, but there were two plug in fans provided in the room which did the job very well! Breakfast was lovely and there’s the ability to make tea and coffee and access water on demand. The locations is wonderful. You can see the lake from the porch and it’s a very short walk to all the lovely shops and restaurants NOTL has to offer. It’s peaceful and quiet, yet so close to everything you need. My only regret is only staying here for one night! I really hope we can come back someday. Thank you!

Our recent stay in the Cedar Room was exactly the getaway we didn't know we needed. My wife and I found ourselves spending much more time than expected simply relaxing on the porch, enjoying snacks and beverages while watching the horse-drawn carriages pass by and visitors enjoying their day in the park. The room's seating area at the foot of the bed, combined with the porch doors open to the fresh air, created an incredibly peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

The following morning, the delicious breakfast and freshly brewed coffee provided the perfect start to our day. This was our second stay here, and we enjoyed it so much that we've already planned another visit in early August to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. We look forward to returning and creating more wonderful memories.

Staying at The Old Bank House Bed and Breakfast was a great experience. The house is in a scenic location directly opposite a park which leads down to the water. Views from the porch and garden are beautiful. The breakfasts that we had during our 2-day stay were delicious, and even more wonderful because you could eat them on the porch. Our room was very clean and quiet. Although there was not much interaction with staff, those whom we did talk to or were served by were very pleasant and helpful.

A great stay and we hope to come back again!

We were looking for an older home with character that was well-maintained and classic type of furniture.

This definitely meet our expectations. It was also very centrally located and we enjoyed a marvellous breakfast both days.

There’s plenty of parking at the location itself and close by.,

Would definitely stay again… we were there for two nights and bed was very comfortable ,room was quiet and very well maintained.

The blackout blinds definitely helped

Super cute Victorian very tastefully decorated property with great checkin, tour of the properties features, and yummy made to order breakfast. So close to the lake but also can just sit on the patio or porch and enjoy the scenery. Very close to all the shops and restaurants on Queen St and the area. Great that each unit has a reserved parking spot too!! We would stay here again!!

We had a lovely stay at The Old Bank House B&B. It was very welcoming, clean, quiet and well located. Across the road from the lake. There was a shared small fridge for our lunch leftovers and coffee machines for coffee or tea in a communal area. We stayed in the Rose Room. It was spacious and clean. Parking available. Breakfast orders were taken upon arrival from a selection of 4 meals. Breakfast is served between 8 and 9. Our breakfast was ready shortly after we arrived to eat in the morning with fresh coffee/tea/orange juice. It was lovely and a nice perk. Strongly recommend.

This bed and breakfast was all we needed. A cozy room, delicious breakfast and such an excellent location. The lounge area reminded us of family vacations with our grandparents in South Africa. The piano and it's beautiful story touched our hearts. Book your stay, it's lovely

Great location right across the street from a park overlooking Lake Ontario. The delicious breakfast is made fresh in the morning, as ordered the evening before. Coffee pods, assorted tea bags and water are available near the rooms 24 hours. Great wifi.

If you want a place where you can talk to a local to see what’s going on, this isn’t the place. No staff around. For the price I don’t think the value was there. However location is excellent. It is very clean

Great small hotel right in the middle of the action in NOTL. Sadly it was rainy while we were there but there is a lovely garden with a view of the lake. We had the Gallery room which also had a lake view and a private balcony. The room was spacious with a comfy bed. Breakfast was made to order (you submit a form the night before) and was deilcious. Easy walking distance to the main commercial area and the Shaw festival.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Old Bank. Fantastic location, walkable to Queen's Parade.Comfortable room with lovely amenities, including a great shower. Breakfast was amazing. My Eggs Benedict was perfect, and my boyfriend commented that his omelet was one of the best he's ever had. Mary Clare is the perfect host!

The location of this BnB is terrific for a lake view and to the shops downtown for my trip with 2 other women friends. The shower was a little difficult, but it was alright. The beds were comfortable and the sitting area within our room was great. The breakfast options were ok, I would have preferred a yogurt option instead of eggs. Appreciated the beverages in the upstairs hallway and the teapot at breakfast( I drink alot of tea). Lovely view of Lake Ontario and there is a park infront of the house. They were gracious and gave us a brief tour of the \"old bank house\" upon arrival. I highly recommend. The free parking is very tight in the back of the house.

We were in NOTL for the Icewine Festival and had a wonderful stay with this property. It's a very short walk to the icewine village on Queen Street, the room and the view of the lake from our room were fantastic, and breakfast was super tasty. Mary-Clare was very helpful and prompt with replying to my messages/ questions about check-in and parking. We especially appreciated the early check-in without any extra charges. It helped us settle in much sooner and plan our weekend better as we were visiting different wineries and had made dinner plans with a group of friends. The woman in the dining area was really friendly and accommodating. Overall, it was a memorable stay, which greatly contributed to a terrific weekend!

The bed was uncomfortable and loud, the sheets were motel cheap. The lights in the bathroom flickered constantly. The tv was unwatchable as it faces a strange direction. Breakfast is very basic - I wouldn’t pay money for it, looks like a child made it. No baked goods or snacks. We’ve visited many NOTL bnb’s, this is the only one I’ve been disappointed by. No heart and soul, no passion. It is a shame because the location is incredible.

The only thing that let the accomodation down was the surly, un-interested female who 'checked us in' and served the breakfast. She was incredibly rude.

An amazing staff , Igor and Mary Clare made the stay wonderful, the property management should however fix the railing at the front porch before some elderly person leans on it and it gives way . It’s truly a hazard and the owner should take care of this before one of staff are maybe hurt . We will definitely go back to this inn , the porch was incredible. With a view to match.

A Home Away From Home

Our room was so comfortable that we enjoyed just staying \"home\"! We will certainly stay in the Gallery room again. There was a lovely deck overlooking the lake and we had our little picnic there. Breakfast was perfect with plenty of choices even for the healthy heart. This hotel is well worth a high rating in every area, especially friendliness.
