Victorian charm

We stayed in the Victorian room, the atmosphere was charming and pleasant. It has an old-fashioned feel which is what is expected and I like. The bed was comfortable and we had all of the amenities needed. The breakfast and coffee prepared was very good too. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Our host, Wei, was very hospitable and friendly, thank you for taking care of us.

The owner was there to greet us at our late arrival. He upgraded us to the main floor suite as it was our 46th wedding anniversary. Hearty breakfast. Sarah was lovely as she was helping with the breakfasts. We recommend staying at Blue Gables built in 1876.

Good location allowing easy walking along the parkway or to downtown Niagara Falls. Just far enough outside the heavy tourist area of Clifton Hill to ensure a peaceful stay but a 2 min drive to get there. Hi
My only bummer is that there was no bathtub, shower only.

New Years Getaway

We stayed three nights, ending with New Years Eve. Our room was cozy, but spacious and we had three delicious and different breakfasts served during our stay. The location was perfect to see the local sights and we were in walking distance after the New Years Eve celebrations in Victoria Park to avoid taking our car since there were thousands of people in the Clifton Hill area for the festivities. We would most definitely love to stay again during a summer visit to the area!

You may want to take a picture of the beautiful and delicious breakfasts Wei creates each day.
The house is charming with its hardwood floors and decorating. Free parking with very handy WEGO bus stop only 50 meters away - or walk into town and to the falls.
You can stay at a hotel, which you won't remember. ...or you can stay at Wei's Blue Gables, which you won't forget.

Wow! What a nice surprise! Such a cute, quaint place with different themed rooms. Wei, the host was very friendly and welcoming. Very well equiped rooms and common areas. Breakfast was huge and filling. I would definitely recommend this place ans i will absolutely be back

I would highly recommend Blue Gables to any of my friends and family. The home was cozy, well cared for, clean, and extremely comfortable. Our room was exceptionally quiet, and had it's own unique charm. The owner was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was *considerably* larger than I had expected, and included small pastries, a yogourt parfait, eggs, sausage, pancakes, fruit, coffee and juice. It was conveniently located--just a 4 minute drive to downtown Niagara falls, and steps away from the river. I look forward to staying there again!

I have already added my story On the Blue Gabbles site but let me give you my story. I feel as I am just a number and you screwed us out of our money. I would not recommend using hotel.com to reserve a room again. After reserving the room we realized that Canada would not allow us over the boarder we needed to cancel which was only 2-hours after I reserved the room and 3-days advance. We never made it to Niagara Falls since the bad taste we had using your site. Perhaps you need to e a little more flexible when dealing with boarders. Thanks for not helping us out

Beautiful cozy house with comfortable rooms. Stayed in the Satin room, which had a private bathroom. Bathroom fully renovated. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was tasty, although being a late riser i only tasted it once. The location is about 5 to 10 minutes from clifton hill (niagara's strip). Owner is very pleasant and helpful.

Delightful Stay!

Absolutely lovely place. We had the ground floor room, with the little porch, and it was delightful. As were the breakfasts, and the service. Wei couldn't have been nicer or more helpful, including carrying our bags to the car. It's a short drive to restaurants along Victoria Avenue (probably could have walked even), we were able to walk into the tourist area and across the Rainbow Bridge, and it's only a couple of blocks from a WeGo bus stop, which we took to and from dinner at the Table Rock House Restaurant. Since parking in that area is a mess, you wouldn't want to drive. And, I must say, the mattress is firm and one of the most comfortable I've ever had on a trip. My boyfriend was thrilled since he needs a very firm mattress or his back doesn't forgive him. And good water pressure in the comfortably sized shower.

Great cozy place to stay.

We stayed in the Satin room, nice size room with very nice bathroom and shower on second floor. NF was unusually warm and window AC had difficulty cooling the room the first night, but after that, worked fine. Breakfast was wonderful all 3 days with great service from the proprietors. Very nice couple with a desire to serve.

This property was very clean, in a great location and staff were very attentive. Only recommendations we have would be a curtain on bathroom door window, mirror in room and individual shampoo, conditioner and soap. Breakfast was excellent. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend this Bed and Breakfast to others.

I spent just one night at Blue Gables but it was a wonderful experience. The place is at half distance from the rail station and the falls which makes it the perfect spot if you don't want to be too close to the center of Niagara Falls. Our host, Wei, was very kind and available. Breakfast was exceptional!

Likes: Charming old home kept in great shape! We stayed 2 nights and appreciated breakfast being different each day (and it was well balanced and delicious.) Parking was included, spacious and the property was easy to find. Bathroom en suite was well stocked and immaculate. Common areas are available for a relaxing tea or glass of water. Water coolers available on each floor which I appreciated!
Although these were okay with us, you might want to know: If you don’t like a firm bed, ask to avoid the Twilight room. The coffee is bottomless but pretty bold. If you have a hard time with stairs, ask for a main floor room.

Pleasant surprise. Charming old house. Nine guests (5 rooms), including one from Cuba and one from Ukraine, all met for conversation and excellent breakfast - yogurt with fresh fruit in it, blueberry pancakes, sausage, eggs, more cut fresh fruit (melon, strawberries, grapes, blueberries), coffee, OJ, and some macaroons. Rooms were quiet. House was only couple of lots off Niagara River walk. Too bad weather didn't cooperate. Trees were in full fall colors - beautiful, except for rain.

Blue Gables Great Owners & Minutes to the Falls

The innkeepers are very nice people. Wei waited for me until late in the evening when I was delayed which I appreciated very much. He also helped with my bags which was very courteous and a big help with my bad knee. They make a very nice breakfast - be sure if you have a food allergy you remind them daily as they seemed to have a hard time remembering - probably because they see so many people. We stayed in the basement room. There is a set of steep winding stairs down to the basement - its a bit challenging if you have mobility issues. The bathroom is 2 levels ( the toilet and sink are higher than the table and chair ), we found that hard to get use to and tripped several times. The bathroom ceiling is low near the sink. I had no problem at 5'4\" but both my 5'6\" friend (who we were visiting) and my 5'10\" friend had to bend to fit under the ceiling. The bed is very firm on the left side and softer on the right. The room has a fridge and a coffee maker. There is an unusually powerful showerhead above the tub that seems angled for someone quite tall. Blue Gables is right off the main street and half a block from the WeGo greenline south \"bed and breakfast\" bus stop (take to table rock stop which is right next to the falls) bus passes can be purchased next door at the Always Inn. 8 mins by WeGo, 5 by car, & 28 walking at a good pace to the falls.
The parking is a bit challenging here.
Overall a very nice stay. Niagara Falls is a wonderful place to visit.

We had a wonderful stay at this B and B, Wei is a very gracious host and cooks an excellent breakfast in the morning! Our room was spotless, comfortable, nicely decorated and very and quiet. We also had our own bathroom which was a plus! Location is also excellent, just far enough from the falls to be a little less tourist-crazy, and close to the beautiful Fallsview Parkway trail. We will definitely be back, thank you very much Wei!

The bed was hard as a rock. No door on the bathroom and an open wall between it and the bedroom. No wash clothes were provided. They made us take off our shoes inside and wear these cheap wicker like flip flops and could not even find a pair large enough for my husband. No refreshments were provided thru out the day as with other B&B's we have visited.

Host was very nice and helpful. He carried our luggage, gave us a tour of the house, and directions to restaurant.
