Excellent stay. Safe, clean, and convenient property and room accommodating a family of four. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating in our interactions during check-in with Adam at the front desk, with housekeeping when provided with additional towels & pillows, and through our check-out experience. Hotel Abri offers guests with the feel, vibe & service of an intimate SF hotel.

The Abri is a solid choice. Great location and great for the price. 1 block from BART. 2 blocks from Metreon and Moscone Center. Pretty stress free and safe walk too. The rooms are clean and the staff seems good. It is an older hotel so if you’re looking for amenities like modern temp control, nice views, a gym or pool, or a restaurant or bar then don’t go here. The bed was just OK. All that said it’s a solid choice if you want clean, safe, and convenient location for a good price.

I had such a great experience staying at Hotel Abri! The location is prime with easy access to public transportation, which made getting around the city incredibly convenient. I arrived early for a one-night stay and had a red-eye flight the next day, and the staff made everything so easy by storing my luggage while I was out exploring.
Everyone I interacted with was extremely kind, welcoming, and informative, which really made the stay feel comfortable. I also appreciated the added sense of security since you need a key card to unlock the lobby doors.
The rooms were spacious, very clean, and had more amenities than I expected. I especially loved the water refill station in the lobby—it made it so convenient to refill my reusable water bottle before heading out for the day.
Overall, it was such a pleasant stay, and I honestly wish I had the capacity to stay more than just one night! I would absolutely recommend Hotel Abri to anyone visiting the area.

The heat in the in the room didn’t work, the keys would never work and required multiple multi floor trips to the front desk to get another key.
They advertise a gym, however they do not have a partnership with a gym at all.
You had to request maid service every day, however even when requesting it, they managed to ge it done 1 of 3 days.
They gave me a bottle of wine when I checked in, that was a nice touch.

The staff at the front desk was very friendly allowing us to check in early which made the rest of our day easier. There are good restaurants across the street and public transportation was available a short walk away. The welcome bag included a bottle of wine, water and snacks.

3.5 stars. Nice simple clean room. Location is good and some nice places to eat around the area. Booked three nights but only stayed two nights wanted to spend the day/night in Santa Rosa. Couple of things was at check out when we told the younger gentleman working the front desk we weren’t staying the third night he didn’t seem to care. I would have thought he would have followed up with asking us if there were any issues etc. but that wasn't the case and that’s fine. Also both nights there was no water for purchase from the lobby… we were told it hasn’t been stocked which was inconvenient. Older gentleman that works nights at the front desk is awesome.

Very quiet hotel in Union Square which is a busy tourist area of San Francisco surrounded by many huge hotels including Hiltons and Marriotts and Grand Hyatt. I’ve stayed at all of them but this was my first time staying at this specific hotel and they upgraded us to a one bedroom suite!!! Definitely took us by surprise.

The gentleman at the front desk said the hotel was sold out but honestly we never saw one other guest there. It was that quiet.

Hotel Abri is located in a convenient location. The trolley station and BART is in walking distance. The hotel, though quaint, is worth the price because of this. Our front desk staff shared places to visit. Although cute, it lacks amenities such as a fitness room, all day coffee bar and continental breakfast. With lots of shops by, food was not a problem. However, the cost of dining can total a small car payment at the end.

Probably the rudest from desk staff that I have come across for a long time. The hotel is an older hotel with decent rooms, but there was zero friendliness from the front desk.

Main door is always locked because it is not in a safe area to leave unlocked. I would not suggest staying at this hotel. I would suggest staying across the street at the Hilton. They know good customer service.

We truly loved our stay, as the location, staff, and room were incredible and the best deal! We stayed for a music festival and the staff were very helpful, and loved the welcome gift bag and accommodating early check in! We’ve stayed at other hotels in Union Square, and by far this hotel won us over as the best we would like to come back to!

Super great location to be at as the public transportation options were great. The room was clean and had a mini fridge. The bed was okay, kinda hard. The staff were super great. The thing with being downtown is that it is a bit noisy and unfortunately there was construction outside during our stay so sleeping in wasn’t great. And as the ac was a window unit and allowed a lot of noise through.

I had an absolutely incredible stay at Hotel Abri! From the moment I walked in, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The rooms were spotless, stylish, and incredibly cozy, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. We loved our welcome bag with a bottle of wine, water and snacks.

A special shout-out to Edwin – he truly made our stay unforgettable! Edwin was friendly, attentive, and always went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed. His professionalism and warm personality made such a difference, and we can’t thank him enough!

Whether you’re traveling for business or leisure, this hotel is hands down one of the best choices in San Francisco. I can’t wait to come back!

Valet price was horrible 72 a night . Room was extremely small , looked bigger in Expedia .
Room was super noisy, the ac vent takes half the window allowing all noise to come in and we couldn’t sleep .the bed was hard , the pillows were flat .

Room was clean but there was a very musty odor that hits you upon walking through the door. Was going to ask for another room when my daughter read reviews that said this was common. Staff was very friendly and quick to assist. Room was clean. Room 308 was on the noisy side where you heard yelling, ambulance/fire truck sirens, construction, garbage truck pick ups, and once again many arguments and yelling outside all night. Hotel was very nice. Coffee was supposed to be served until 9:50am. We were down at 9:45 and you could tell everything had been cleaned up. All that was left were empty coffee urns placed to the side. There is a great coffee shop called Mellis Cafe on Ellis Street which has great coffee and the best cakes/patries/desserts, fruit cups etc. Visited this place daily. There was a refrigerator but no microwave. There is a mirror inside the closet door that we found on the third evening. There are many walkable restaurants but be careful. Leaving the front door and heading to the right…all good. Heading to the left past Mellis Cafe…be cautious.

The hotel's location is excellent, providing easy access to all major landmarks, public transit, and cities south of the main city along the BART line. However, the hotel feels a bit dated. While the staff did a good job with cleaning and service, there was a noticeable and unpleasant odor in the room and bathroom.

The location is perfect for exploring the city. It is also easy access to the cable car and the city bus so we didn't need a car while there. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I loved the welcome gift! The bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed coffee in the lobby every morning.

The hotel is in a great location, short walk to Union Square. Nicely styled rooms, clean and remodeled bathrooms. The hotel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. They stored our luggage before and after the check out. The hotel doesn’t offer free parking but there is a garage near by that charges $43 vs the hotel price of over $70.

Would not recommend going too far west from the hotel at night as it’s only a few blocks from the tenderloin. On the west side. Heading east is perfectly safe. The Hotel Arbi was clean and safe inside Outside area is close to trolley ,cable cars ,buses,train to airport, fishermans wharf ,haight ,etc all 3 minute walk This downtown core has many homeless people but they tend to keep to themselves if you have not seen homeless people before and the amount of them then be aware .This is not the hotels issue the area is the downtown core many stores

Location is great- near shopping and cable car pickup and drop off. Secured building so felt secure. Room was quiet at night. A few negatives are the beds were not fantastic, small bathroom (to be expected in city), and when AC was on it pulled in the smell of marijuana. The staff were very nice and professional and gave us a welcome gift (white wine and a few snacks and waters) which was unexpected. The valet service made it easy to park our car and their lot was safer than the self-park option so paid $30/night more. They were also able to store our luggage until it was time to leave for airport. Would recommend this property and stay here again.
