Wonderful staff, clean, and close to everything. The front desk guy was born and raised in Morro Bay. He’s super friendly and welcoming. I enjoyed my stay. He gave me 3 places to choose from for dinner. I will be back.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel is beautiful, and very clean. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Everything was great, and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel!

Too close to the hwy? If i stay there again, and i may, i’d ask them to put me in a room on the west side of the building. The bed and pillows were very conf. but the sheets had some stains on it.

My room was still dirty from the previous people. They left dog food in the room floor. When talking about this issue to the staff they just said sorry but didn't do anything else besides that. They said it was \"noted\" and nothing else was done. Terrible service.

Booked this room due to the reviews, once we got to the room pulled the bedding back and wow, crumbs in the bed along with “hairs”. I get washing machines can’t get everything but as house keeping is prepping a room this would have stuck out, it was pretty substantial. Reached out to the front desk to just have the bed be remade with clean sheets, instead we were told that we were ok to go downstairs and they’ll give us new bedding and we can make it ourselves. Didn’t stay and as we were heading toward elevator another guest was walking down the hall with a spray bottle and was telling us they had to go grab a spray bottle because their room had a weird odor. We had to try to find something on a holiday weekend late at night.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They don’t clean your room every day, but if you want it cleaned, they will clean it. Since I am not a messy person, I just asked for clean towels and other necessities as I needed them so I was fine with that. All in all, our five nights here were great.

Excellent hotel, super clean. Staff amazing. Breakfasts very good compared with too many hotels. There is a walking trail to the port where all restaurants are located and it takes you around 25 minutes walking. Which is not bad. This hotel is a place to stay

When you look at property, it looks very nice and clean. Unfortunately, our room smelt like a dog had stayed in it. Carpet needs to be shampooed, due to allowing pets to stay in there. Otherwise it looked clean.

Hotel room was clean and spacious. Looks like a newer hotel. Staff was nice. Not good far of a drive to the waterfront.

Booked a room that was supposed to have partial view of the Morro Rock. It was a view of the road. No rock. And the 2 supercharger stations did not work.

We were passing from Hearst to Santa Barbara. There isn’t much in Morro Bay, but Hampton holds up its brand promise as a clean, modern- decor property that’s comfortable with no frills.

I had mixed feelings about my stay. For the price paid, I expected a more comfortable and relaxing experience.

My first issue was with the air conditioning. I prefer my room very cold, and while the thermostat showed that the temperature was being lowered, the room never actually felt cooler. At this price point, the AC should be strong enough to properly cool the room.

The second issue was maintenance on the door locks early in the morning. Although we were notified at check-in, it was still frustrating to be woken up. Guests are paying to rest, and door maintenance should be scheduled between checkout and check-in hours. Checkout is at 11 AM and check-in is at 3 PM, so that seems like the appropriate window to handle work that could disturb guests. If guests are going to be inconvenienced, some type of discount, credit, or small accommodation would go a long way.

Another issue was the indoor pool. It did not seem heated, which was disappointing. On top of that, guests using the pool were walking through the lobby and hallways soaking wet, creating a noticeable slip hazard.

That being said, there were positives. The room itself was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the front desk staff were polite and professional.

Overall, the hotel had some good qualities, but the issues with the AC, early maintenance disturbance, and pool area took away from the experience.

Bath mat was worn out it . Used bath towel on the wet floor to prevent slip/fall. Mattress was pretty soft and carpet could use a cleaning in room and hall. Brkf ok. Milk container was heavy when full. Hope these comments give you some ideas because Hampton is usually our first choice.

My family was only there for one night and we enjoyed ourselves so much! We booked through Hotels and they even gave us an option of which floor we wanted, which never happens when booking through Hotels. We normally have to take what we are given. The breakfast buffet was amazing. It was clean and inviting. Overall we had a wonderful stay and my kids want to go back to that hotel. 🙂

There was an issue not really affected us but in our room 2nd floor 209 the pillow fell and looks like there is a damage pipe or something cause the entire floor was wet and the pillow was soaked. Something for maintenance to look at

We were 3 and 1 child who stayed at this lovely hotel, everyone was so nice. Beds are a bit soft, I’m use to a more firm bed, but managed. We had a full breakfast next morning, was wonderful, coffee was great.

The hotel itself was nice, fairly new everything was clean, breakfast was decent, coffee was available all the time in lobby. I was just disappointed that it’s not really walking distance to the Embarcadero? It’s says 5 min walk to beach, but it’s more like 10 mins. If you don’t mind driving to everything it’s fine

We stayed here overnight as one of the stops on our road trip. The premises were excellent, inside and out. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was helpful. Coffee and hot water was available all day in the lobby. There was a gym and was actually a decent size with maybe 3 treadmills and a Peloton bike, a bench, a bunch of dumb bells and another weight machine thing. Free breakfast from 6:30 - 10:00 am, which is always nice; there was cheese omelets, sausages and patties, potatoes, an assortment of bread, English muffins, cereal and yogurt, oatmeal and a make-your-own waffle station.

Overall, great value for the rate we got it for (~$150). Also close to Morro Rock, which is ~1 hour easy walk roundtrip to and back to the hotel.

Weekday staff was incredible! We visited our daughter and she wanted to set up a little welcome basket for us, and the night staff the day we arrived helped her out so much! It was beyond lovely!
We requested to stay an extra night due to the unseasonably warm weather. We inquired about the cost and we're ok with the price quoted. When we asked about the next morning the price had doubled!! But even after we mentioned the price quoted, we were told that the new price (double of the quoted price) would be the price for the extra evening.
I have an MS and the heat makes me feel terrible. This was the one and only reason we requested an extra night. The temps were going to be cooler after the extra night.
It just seemed to us that the weekday staff was so much more agreeable and friendly. Then on the night before we were to check out, we requested a late checkout and were told simply NO. In all my 52 years of life I have never been told no when a late checkout is requested.
We enjoyed our stay in Morrow Bay immensely, however the last day of staying at this hotel was not at all pleasant

They don’t bother to tell you that they charge for parking—$11.50–utterly ridiculous.
Any charge is ridiculous, but $11.50 on the outskirts of Paso Robles is absolutely insane.

Stay away.

The only hiccup was that we were given a room that we were told still needed a few minutes for cleaning. We had multiple rooms, so we just went in the other rooms. Later one of our teens went into the room to check it out and found the room still a mess. It turned out that someone was still checked into that room, thank goodness they were not in there when we entered. We called the front desk and got assigned another room but didn’t really get an acknowledgment or sorry for the mistake.
