Well kept motel with a huge room. Double vanity, microwave, refrigerator, large desk, easy chair, and a recliner! Very quiet. Breakfast is coffee, fruit, and packaged muffins.

Like the roomie layout of this motel (as opposed to new motels that are often cramped for space). Rooms upgraded with new carpet and paint. Microwave & Fridge area to along side wall with easy access, but out of the way. Like the adjoining rooms with doors between 2 rooms for families to have younger kids in the room next to them. Like the green area with picnic table in front of our room for multiple guests to meet at.

The hotel was extremely nice and well situated in Cayucos. One note, there is a large Cypress tree that drops sap in the first three parking spots as you enter. My car was a complete mess but it washed off but I didn’t let it dry out.

Unfortunately, due to a family emergency I wasn't able to stay at this hotel during the time frame I chose BUT because the hotel handled this situation so well, I will definitely be staying at this hotel when I'm able to travel again. It was absolutely the cleanest, dog-friendly hotel I've stayed at. The room very well maintained, comfortable, and spacious. It's an easy walk to the beach, and only a minute or so from the grocery store, park, and The Sea Shanty restaurant. Regardless of when we returned to our room there was always parking available and although the spots were a little narrow, my truck still fit with room to get out. We will absolutely stay there anytime we are in town.

I stayed Monday Through Friday. The room was pretty clean but I didn't like the indoor/outdoor carpet. It didn't feel clean. The staff was good. No complaints really. The first night the internet went up and down and the next day I complained about it and I didn't have a problem after that. I have to admit though that when it was working it was the fastest internet I have ever seen in any motel. Parking was great, I got to park in front of my room every day. The car charger was down, but that wasn't that big a deal because they charge $20 to use it. That would be ok if I had a Tesla, but I don't. So, for me with a PHEV $20 to charge isn't worth it. Oh, and it was out of order anyway. They redid the rooms, but they didn't replace the mattressses because, the Mattresses were way too soft. The biggest plus about this place is it's dog friendly. I like having a doggy park right next to the room on the property. That way I can take fido out without having to walk all over town. AND they have doggy poo bags so you can pick up after your dog. Great idea.

Great stay, Suni and Jayne were both so very nice and take really good care of their property. Grounds are lovely and the room was very comfortable. Very pet friendly and so is Cayucos. Beach access really close and nice little park right across the street.

The manager came to inspect and said they would someone in the morning to give it another scrub. Housecleaning made the bed but it appeared that the scum was still there. Everything else was good.

The Inn was easy to find and good parking. I had requested a king size bed but found out that the room was for the handicap. We had to take it but I felt bad that perhaps we took a room that a handicap person could have stayed in. There wasn't any soap for hand washing and I understand that it saves to have liquid soap dispensers but the dispenser was on the other side of the bathroom in the shower. The "breakfast" was kind of non-existent. Just coffee, tea, and fruit.

This is a good looking hotel, appropriate to its Pacific coastal location. Our room was spacious, comfortable and well appointed. The hotel seems generally quiet. Staff were very friendly. The TV channels are difficult to locate - even the guy at Reception seemed unable to find CNN - except by luck. Breakfast is limited to muffins and a plentiful supply of fresh fruit. They would benefit from a faster system of replenishing coffee and hot water - it took an age. But generally, an excellent place to stay.

Excellent communication from the front desk, and enjoyed opening up the door and seeing art work with towels on the bed. It was unusually warm but air conditioner worked well. I would recommend the desserts across from the motel. It's called Sea Shanty. Amazing ice cream pies. Stay here it's located perfectly. A park across the street for fur pets and children. Beach access walking distance.

First trip to Cayucos and we were very happy with our stay at Cayucos Beach Inn.
We stayed in a King suite which was perfect for 3 of us. A separate bedroom with the king bed and a tv and a front room with tv, mini fridge, table, chairs, and a pull out couch. Liked that the bathroom had a shower/tub with toilet and sink in it’s own room, but also had an area with a mirror and sink to get ready.
Next door to the market and across the street from The Sea Shanty. Walkable within 5-10 minutes for shopping, eating and the beach.
Staff was super nice and there was fresh coffee that was delicious along with some fruit and muffins in the morning.
I would definitely recommend staying here and hope to visit again soon!!

Room was clean. Check in staff was a bit cold. The only thing was child runny in room above us all night long until about 12am, then adults same until 2am. Could hear talking and what seems like stomping. I’m sure it was not on purpose but still hard to sleep.

THe Cayucos Beach Inn always first class. The issue is Cayucos Beach Inn receipt at check Out indicated total cost for two days $371.92. Hotel.com at time of Booking the two day stay Charged My Visa Card $513.27, which was paid in full prior to March 13, 2026. Why did I get charged the additional $141.35?

Perfect place to stay with a small dog. Close proximity to beach and area restaurants. Great coffee in the lobby every morning. It has a peaceful outdoor seating area with bbq grills. This is my favorite dog hotel in Cayucos.

This is the best place to stay with a dog on the central coast. The location is great, you can walk to restaurants and the dog beach is really close by. The rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly. Nice areas to sit outside and the dog wash is great after a day at the beach. We have stayed here several times and will be sure to stay again.
