One staff member was extremely rude. The other staff member who was new. It was very nice treated very poorly upon check-in clearly has a dislike for third-party use. My reservation request was for the first floor because we had bikes on my reservation and it said I had room 111. Upon check-in we asked for the first floor she said it cannot be guaranteed and we were given the second floor and had to take our bikes up the stairs. She was also extremely rude to all of my friends that checked in I would not recommend this place.

Well, the hotel had a plumbing issue. The hotel called us multiple times, asking when we will be checking in, didn't mention about the plumbing issue, and no room available until we asked why they were calling the third time. They relocated us across the street, saying that it is the same 3-star hotel, and 2 queen beds. When we checked in to the new hotel, turns out to be a 2-star, and only has 1 king bed, and a twin cot (with mattress so horrible that we can feel the spring). This is horrible the way they handled this. I understand that the situation is unavoidable, but they should have been honest about the new place, and offer some refund due to the differences. But none of that happened.

Had some issues with our stay. After our first night, we left our room to go out for the day. My husband had gone back and found that all our things were gone (weirdly the room key still worked). So my husband went to the office to find out what was going on. The guy who checked us in on our first night quit so at first there was no record of us being there. (They found the paper proving we checked in later.) I guess they thought that the previous person who stayed in that room left and forgot their things (something along those lines). Someone that worked there went into our room, shoved all our stuff into our suitcases, threw away our snacks, water bottle, my leftover coffee and our shower supplies. They stuck our suitcases in a janitors closet. My husband got our suitcases back and they gave him the same room again. The girl at the desk said she got it figured out and we are good to go but, later she called me to tell us that our reservation for that day was canceled and gave me a cancellation confirmation number supposedly from Expedia. We did not cancel our room! I looked on my Expedia app and there were no notifications of cancellation. She also told me they did not get paid from Expedia or some thing like that and that we owed them money. I booked this whole trip on Expedia and it was completely paid for. We called Expedia, explained everything and they took care of it. Side note, the desk girl was very nice and tried to be very helpful to us.

An utter disappointment. Felt ripped off for the price. The room was dirty upon my arrival, was dingy and also smelled musty. The room wasn’t even properly equipped, missing a complete set of towels, even missing some pillows. There was still something sticky on the nightstand, gross. Also, paper thin walls, we could hear everything…from neighbors talking, watching tv, and even flushing toilet. The HVAC was super noisy and we were forced to keep the loud HVAC fan on all night to try to get some sleep. Sadly wasn’t able to sleep much, and ended up leaving before 5am. Management doesn’t care, didn’t even offer to remedy any of it. I even received a call from a rude manager who was attempting to defend this dirty old hotel, then later received a tacky AI generated fake apology; yes we can tell your using AI. I wound NEVER stay here again, nor would recommend. This place is an over-priced Motel 6, and is a pathetic excuse for the BW name.

The stars are for location, which was very convenient - walking distance to nearest attractions. Besides that, the room and amenities were subpar for the price and the name. I paid extra for the “bay view” room but there was no bay view at all. Bedding was ok except for the squeaky metal box springs. Furniture was old. Walls are not sound proof so we couldn’t sleep well the first night due to noise in the next room. Bathroom was ok but putting coffee maker in the bathroom is not tasteful. Shampoo etc were empty. The breakfast which some reviews appear to praise was pretty basic. The staff at the reception were courteous.

Well, in the beginning the check in was sort of rocky but the manager that helped us out I have to say she did a wonderful job and I would love to stay there again. I have to try the deck out when it’s not raining. She did let me know that the next time I come through that she will try get get me something near the deck area so we can relax. Will take you up on that offer. Vince.

When we checked in we were told our room wouldn’t be ready for 2 hours. The guest that stayed in the room before us had broken the toilet. We were offered another room with 2 queen beds. The heater in the room had to be turned on and off outside of the room which was annoying. We never got to try the breakfast. We were not informed of a time and we were not given any info of our stay. The lady at the front desk made us feel like we were bothering her. Every time we would leave our room we would have to go the office to reactivate our key card. The lady in the office did say to keep card away from our cell phones which we did and the card would still need to be reactivated. Overall we had a decent stay but I don’t think we will stay at this hotel again,

Having stayed at this location many times in early 2000's and had the most amazing stays, I did not think to read the current reviews. I should have! The new owner has zero skills in hospitality. She was rude and unwelcoming the minute we walked in. Very unprofessional and downright evil as many prior reviews described her. We left after one night because we didn't not feel safe . Also be leery of giving your credit card information as I had fraudulent charges, which required me to file a police report. I honestly can't believe Best Western is still associated with this property.

I never leave reviews(literally NEVER) but I have to for this.From the get go I knew it was going to be a DISASTER.

Upon arrival I noticed that the paper said 2adults while on the app it showed that I booked for 2 adults and 2 children.I had selected 2 beds and got 1.I asked if there were any rooms available with 2 beds and I would be ok with additional charges.
The lady at the front desk didn’t let me speak. Cut me off and said no,thank you bye.

Well awkward right? But what do you do at 7pm 5 hours away from home……Just gotta go with the flow.At that point I knew it was going to be a no sleep -tight in bed night but that’s ok! I was just very taken back by the customer service.

Check in the room and notice the side table full of hairs…no biggie just wipe it with Clorox wipe….
Then shower is filthy ok gross
Coffee machine on bathroom sink full of dusk AND HAIRS….ok still pushing through.Late night,tired of traveling with baby and teen(if you know you know)

Okkkk it gets worse… pull of the sheets..THE ENTIRE BED IF FULL OF HAIRS THE FLOOR TOO! Hairs everywhere!!! I tried to see what could be done but again the customer service was not there.

Now I will say this…I have a strong intuition (teacher) that the person at the counter may be special needs (not a doctor just an assumption from experience)

So i decided that we were going to get NO WHERE because we just couldn’t communicate so i checked out within 40minutes. The room was beyond filthy.It was plain GROSS

The old woman who was on the front desk of the hotel when we checked in around 8-9pm was so rude. She snapped fingers at us. And when our AC was not working she asked us to fix it by ourselves and when we were going the same she came and spoke very rudely asking us to get out and all the curse words. You can see the CCTV’s for proof. By her behaviour it almost seemed like she was did drugs. Please do a background check prior to listing them in the website as it gives a bad name to your website as well. We also heard that she was probably the owner of the motel. Also, yes, it’s listed as a hotel but when in reality it’s just a motel.

Hollowing noise in the room, the high pitch dies away and comes back at intervals, which I identified later as a loud noise from the worked-down washing machine in the technical room. The Receptionist Lady, when asked, suggested that I turn up the TV and she'd see about the noise in an hour or so. Rude, but nothing compared to what happened next.
My wife turned the shower on, and at the same moment, a hose connecting the TOILET got disconnected, and started to spray the room, forming a huge paddle on the floor.
Luckily, there was a key on the water pipe coming out of the wall. I shut the water off, and my wife and the kid started to mop the water from the floor into the sink.
I went to the report the accident to The Recetionist Lady, who got agitated, did not wait until I finished my sentence and rushed to the room.
My wife opened the door, and when I came in The Receptionist Lady was already raising her voice in our general direction (my wife and son and me), repeating without stopping: \"you've ruined the room\", \"how did you break it?\", and something unintelligible about $700.
The Receptionist Lady then stormed out of the room, saying I need to follow her and get some rugs to mop the floor. To my repeated request to change the room, she started to repeat loudly: \"You've ruined one room already!\"
I followed her to the reception desk, where she did threw me some rags, and SLAMMED THE DOOR OF HER OFFICE IN MY FACE!
After which we packed and left to find another hotel.

Stayed 2 nights with 2 rooms — first room had carpet that was VERY dirty with questionable stains and smelled like a damp dog. Second room has been updated with laminate flooring and was much cleaner and nicer feeling. The first night both rooms had blazing hot water — yay! Second night and checkout morning there was absolutely no hot water in either room. We didn’t mention it since we were on our way out but honestly I’d consider other hotel options before choosing this one again.

The room and the onsite staff was fantastic, however there was an issue when we were getting ready to leave. We left in the morning to get breakfast and when we returned our room keys stopped working and we couldn't get into our room. There was no one at the front desk and there was a sign saying that it would be open at 7:30am, but it was already 9am. I called the customer service number and a lady answered. We called twice, once for the issue and another time for a follow up. In this time the housekeeper had arrived and was also locked out. She said she might be able to get us into our room and then successfully got the door open so I called back to let the lady know that the problem was solved but she was very rude. She told me the back up was on his way and then hung up before i could say the problem was solved.

121 hotel room smelled like mold, it didn’t feel very clean either. You can see traces of mold in the bathroom. Floor felt icky!! Lights from the cars hit you right in the eyes on the first floor of the blinds are open. Stingy hotel, didn’t wanna give 30 mins late checkout for free. Service was just okay. Could have been cleaner!

Turned on the shower and a lot of silver shavings came out of the faucet. Was given a room that was not renovated because I booked thru hotels.com, was advised that I could upgrade for a room with new carpet for an extra $10. Also the bathroom is very small.
The receptionist was extremely helpful letting me know about local things to see.

We arrived a couple hours after check in and rooms were not available. They said they were \"short staffed\". We had to wait for our room to be cleaned. When we got to the room, the bedding was unclean with brown marks that looked like make up, and sheets that were extremely wrinkled that it made you question if they were clean. One comforter had a major hole in it and the sheet tag was showing at the top of the bed when it should be at the bottom. Thankfully, the attendent gave us another room. It was much nicer, very clean and no complaints. The staff was very accomodating.

Our stay wasn’t the worst stay I’ve had, but it is by far the worst Best Western I’ve stayed at. The air conditioning did not work and I was hot all night and couldn’t sleep. The bathroom was missing body wash and the tub was sandy from the previous guests. I would definitely stay somewhere else if you can afford it.

When we arrived to our room there was no water in the toilet. We had to fill the toilet from our water bottles in order to flush the toilet. We finally figured out that the toilet water had been turned off. There was a strong antiseptic smell to the room and there were no towels. Breakfast was not as described on the breakfast menu for the week. During breakfast a homeless person came into the lobby with one shoe on and started rambling. No one was present at the check-in counter to handle this issue.

Our stay was not pleasant. We were given a room with a loud persistent hum. When we complained first , we were told it was the dryers and the cleaners would leave soon. When it didn’t stop we complained again at 5.30 and were told now that there the room was close to the electrical room and nothing could be done. The front desk checked us in at 3pm and the room had not been cleaned so we had to wait as there was nothing else available. The ice machine did not work the entire time. There was no orange juice at the continental break fast any of the mornings. The bathtub in the room did not hold water so it was not possible to take a bath. The shower had very very low pressure so you were in there forever trying to wash soap off. The bed base clanged loudly and you could hear the people upstairs enjoying the bed. The baseboards and the floor in the entire room were very dirty and from what I can see were never cleaned the entire time we were there. The closet doors were not aligned properly and did not open and close smoothly. The pillows were half the size of normal pillows and we were only able to get one extra. I can not overstate how disappointed I was in the quality of the room for the price I paid. It was honestly the worst best western I have ever stayed at.

The location is great - it's an easy walk to a ton of restaurants and shops and even to Morro Rock. The motel itself was alright. I got there right at 3 and was put in a room that wasn't cleaned. Went back down to the office and was given a new room that didn't have any towels, soap, or other amenities. When I called down to the office, they made me come down to get everything rather than bring it up. That was disappointing. I understand things get a little hectic but it wasn't like I was checking in early and they weren't very apologetic. I will say the woman who works the morning shift and does the breakfast was wonderful and was busting her butt making sure there was plenty of food available for everyone - I really appreciated her! Overall, the place is decent but seemed a bit pricey for what you get.

I came here to stay the night in a safe and convenient area and this was the perfect spot! Rooms look just like the pictures and the staff was amazing!!! Will stay here again.
