Great location and value. Highly recommend
Dan
This hotel is located right in the heart of Morro Bay. We’ve stayed in Moore Bay many times over the years and this is one of the cleaner motels. Walking distance to all of the activities in the wharf area. Hotel room looked recently renovated and room was nice. Parking spaces are a little tight. Staff were friendly. Nice hotel for the price we paid.
Yvonne
Have stayed at this hotel many times, always excellent.
Nancy
I was very impressed with the helpfulness of the employees.
Kang
Room was clean, parking was great, staff was very helpful, and having an ocean view was a plus
Wayne
The location was great, the staff was friendly and helpful. It is a very good choice if you are staying in Morro Bay.
Kathleen
Good value and within walking to the water
Michael
The staff was nice and the room was very pleasant, great location, plus a nice view from the room. The room was not ready until after 5pm, even though check-in is supposed to be at 4pm - I do realize that this might be the fault of a previous guest or it's perhaps due to understaffing. Also, I ended up with a handicapped room (not requested), which probably explains why in the bathroom, there was a lot of empty space (for maneuvering) but unfortunately very little counter space for toiletries.
Joe
We had a great 2 night stay plan a longer stay the next time the staff was really polite
Ryan
Excellent staff, clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, quiet. I rested very well at this property and will return.
Ashley
A truly wonderful place to stay in Morro Bay. Very clean, excellent location, comfortable beds, and the nicest staff anyone could ask for! I will for sure be staying here again!
Mehri
We stayed at this hotel for one night. It was a decent, average hotel and met our basic needs. The room was clean, and the hotel offered parking, which was convenient. However, breakfast was not available. Overall, it was an acceptable stay for a short visit.
Una
Nice clean room, great rock views. Good bed
Tuan
Close to the water and main shopping area
Patricia
Felt safe during business hours while front desk property cameras were in operation.
Towel supply for guests staying more than one night could use improvement.
Front desk distaff friendly and accommodating.

Locations is creation decent parking under hotel and on the street one night I was on property other I was out front didn’t worried about it. Staff are kind house keeping staff are awesome I asked for a couple of towels as I was multi night staying and they provided them to me no issues.
Overall great views and walking distance to the main shopping areas or a short drive to the morro rock.
Shower is decent room is simple but was clean
My biggest pain was the tv remote horrible design and the enter button would just dial 5 so gave up on tv when it came down to winding down at the end of a great day out.
For what it is decent location decent beds the basics would stay again.

Friendly staff, clean, and walking distance to where we wanted to go.

Close to restaurants and seashore
Richard
Nice location of the property with close proximity to the Embarcadero waterfront and fabulous views from our ocean view room.

Staff was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful, freshly remodeled room with unimpeded views of Morro Rock(3rd floor)
Balcony, great bed, walk-in shower. No microwave or breakfast but very reasonable price

My Husband and I stayed there one night the room was big. The bag was comfortable the bathroom, however, did not have countertop to put hair supplies and makeup on. There was a sink in a little bitty tiny shelf. The room was soundproof. It was a nice day.
Chase
Worst hotel in Morro bay. We have stayed here twice, thinking the first was just a fluke but boy were we wrong. Spiders in the bed, in the ceiling, dirty showers, hotel looks like it’s from the twilight zone and the workers are extremely unhelpful and it’s like you’re just a burden to them. Towels are cheap, sheets aren’t even changed. Don’t waste your time or money
Donna
Loved the clean and beautiful rooms. The view of the ocean and the walkable distance into the downtown area was a plus!

Great parking nice front desk great view
NICHOLE
I specifically chose this hotel b/c it had a gym / there were pics of weights, free weights etc / but the gym was half the size no weights / 3-4 old cardio machines - the pictures lied - I would not have chose if he pictures were accurate
Ron
Parking is difficult for a large truck if you want to be curious to others. What I mean is I had to park against a wall and climb out the passenger side so the driver had room. It's a done deal the building is built so absolutely nothing can be done. The parking is not secure. There is some ocean views. Where stayed there was a bit. Overall it was an enjoyable stay. The buid was extremely comfortable, that's a pluse.
Lillian
Cleanliness to be addressed ha
Olivia
Check in was pleasant but they said that the WiFi was out, so no television or WiFi for a bit which is fine, wish I could have gotten a street view room instead of the parking lot. Staff was really nice, close to the warf and the beach areas.
Trevor
Everything was good.
Leticia
WiFi went down for a bit; TV is dated and doesn’t have Netflix apps
Ryan
Room was clean. Hotel is close to Embarcadero. We had a great view of the rock as well. We would definitely stay here again.
Mary
Only stayed one night which was good.
Juan
I like the location of the hotel and its proximity to the beach. Sheets were clean. Room was clean. Some rust on the shower curtain rail, and the ceiling in the bathroom was drooping and the paint was peeling above the shower. There also seemed to be some major repair done on the ceiling in the bathroom from water damage. The TV remote was super dumb. No guide button to quickly navigate to a channel. The stairwell was dirty too like it hasn’t been vacuumed in a week. Lots of street parking but the hotel parking at garage level was limited and small spaces.
Dominic
Very secure and clean
Maria
We were able to check in early which was great it was a really hot day but went we got to the room I was not impressed. There was mold on the ceiling outside the bathroom, the tiles in the shower had water buildup and towels were on the opposite side of the shower. There were stains on the carpet. Quite disappointed We won’t be staying here on our next trip.
Israel
The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean
Edmund
Comfortable room, I had a king bed and bathroom with a walk-in shower. Onsite parking, friendly staff and quick access to the Embarcadero. They have a gym and guest laundry, however, I did not use them. The room also had three power strip/USB access points.
Shereese
Room was spacious and comfortable. Walkable location. Reasonable rates. Would definitely stay here again.
James
We did not use the gym or the laundry.
Weiling
Great location! Walking distance to all the stores and restaurants. Room is spacious and clean. will come again.

This was a great place to stay and I will definitely choose them again. I have stayed at several different hotels/motels in Morro Bay as we come here often. But this hotel will definitely be on our repeat list. Clean rooms and lobby and friendly staff.
Courtney
The lobby closes overnight, which is fine but we didn’t have access to water. The lobby doors directed us to go to the vending machine but it was empty. Bed was comfy and spacious room. Felt average for what we paid which was affordable for the area and was so close to Main St so things were walkable!
Carlos
I had a amazing time and great stay overall
Michael
For the price, a huge disappointment. It’s a motel. Room was clean. That’s about the only positive thing I can say about this place.
Ivan
Easy and fast!.

Clean room. Incredible staff!!

Cameron was EXCELLENT. We had a great experience from the call the night before to check-in with Cameron and the lovely young lady assisting him at the desk. The room was cozy, the property clean and located in a quiet residential area.

On arrival we were greeted by Heather. Big smile, very welcoming and helpful. That kicked off a great mini vacation for us. The views from the hotel were awesome and the location was spot on. We were very happy with the cleanliness and the condition of the furniture in the room. Comfortable bed and the view from the balcony first thing in the morning was fantastic. This is now our go to hotel for Morro Bay. When you find great you don’t go anywhere else.

The view was wonderful and the hotel was within a 5 minute walk of everything we wanted to do.

Staff was great and friendly! We went on a busy weekend, the room was good but no curtains, broken blinds,

The hotel is in a great location, staff was great but our room definitely needed work. Our shower ceiling was falling in the corner, there was plaster on the wall and missing trim. Worst part is, the walls are VERY thin, we heard everything going on with our upstairs neighbor.
GUSTAVO
It was clean and efficient for what we need it.
Andy
The staff was really friendly and there was a microwave in the lobby after hours.

Mold in the room. The room floor looked like it had not been cleaned. On our way up to our room the stairs carpet was digusting dirty as well as the walls. So very disappointed. We asked for a refund as we had the pictures to prove it. They denied our refund and didnt even offer to accomodate our stay. We were hours away from home and had to pay for another hotel. Do nit waste your money on this place!

Enjoyed the view from the room. The rooms were clean. The staff were attentive and polite. One of the lamps didn’t work and the a/c & heating unit was very loud. We set it on automatic and when it turned on at night it would wake me. Although good for price I do not think I will revisit there. Find somewhere the a/c and heating unit is more quieter.
luis
Clean room , nice view from balcony facing morro bay.
Bonnie

Thank you so much very was perfect. The roads were nice and clean, and they were polite in the lobby.
Alexis
Loved the balcony with the view
Jazmine
This hotel was amazing. We had a balcony that we could see the ocean from. It was a smaller balcony standing room only but I loved the big doors and being able to have the natural light. The staff was super friendly. They have enough parking and the space around the hotel was super quiet and safe. We weren’t far from anything we could definitely walk. Definitely would recommend and stay here again.
Cynthia
Lovely ocean view

The beds are so high that even I (5’9) couldn’t just “sit-down” on it I had to jump up. The purpose of this trip was to bring my mother-in-law who is 77 years old on a nice beach trip and she is 4 foot 11. I had to literally go to the other side of the bed and pull her up by her arms, they need to get rid of the big box under the bed. It is ridiculous to have that in a hotel room. If she had to get up in the middle of the night, she had to wake me up to help her!!! That is horrible. I will never stay here again.
Edgar
Great place overall
Denise
My room 209 hair in shower, no toilet roll holder, toilet seat not on very well, Mimi blinds are broken. Tv remote doesn’t even work with the TV no local channels. Water pressure is very low in the shower.
Terri
Beautiful view of bay and rock!
Lynne
Spacious room with a view of Morrow Rock from the Balcony. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Some of the parking spaces were a bit precarious getting in and out of however there was always a place to park.
Mark
Frig was not working properly. So my food spoiled. Grrrrrr...also the tv remote is a generic and not easy to use maybe some instuctions would make it much easier...
Garage was not swept. Espically at lobby entrance and buckets of chemicals right next to the garage lobby door!!!! Really?
And coffe pot was empty twice also cups and creamer/sugar area was messy
Otherwise room was very clean bed was great staff was accommodating

Nice room, quiet, great location and price. The room was clean and comfortable. No housekeeping for the 3 nights we stayed because of short staffing. That was ok and is becoming standard. However the reception told us to put our dirty towels outside the room and we would receive fresh towels. We put them outside with the trash but didn't receive fresh towels. Nice balcony room with chairs outside. I will come back again.
Gregory
Staff very nice. All hotels have areas they could improve on but overall we would recommend Avisa.
Monica
Balcony with view of Morro Rock. Walkable to shopping and eateries. I would stay here again.

Good sized room, great shower, fast wi-fi, big TV, comfortable bed. It all made for a nice stay. In addition, the staff is really nice.
Beverly
The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. The location was ideal.
Marion
Beautiful view from the balcony. Cute small town. We only stayed one night as we were passing through. I would stay here again.
Guillermo
We stayed at Hotel Avisa AFTER Labor Day and so there were no crowds…. We had the best room on the 3rd floor with the balcony and ocean view. The ladies at the front desk were very supportive. The covered parking garage was safe.
james
The Ocean View room was perfect. Location was quiet but close to the shore.
Mihaela
Easy check in with friendly staff. Bathrooms need some attention
Stephanie
Lovely hotel with a short walk down to the harbour/bay. Clean basic rooms, perfect for what we needed, the front desk staff were lovely and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Dennis
Overall decent place to stay, a microwave in the room would have been nice
Cinthia
The TV never working and I’m calling at the front desk and just say
Im sorry for the inconvenient

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Avisa. I’d just like to advise, this property’s parking garage is smaller than most. We stayed on a Saturday night and had no problem finding parking but it’s definitely something to keep in mind.
