This motel was fine. But it’s a motel. The coat hangers were installed directly above the “kitchenette”, which was a coffee maker, so the hangers are unusable. Everything else follows suit. It’s got new paint, but the soap is bolted to the wall. When comparing, compare it to the motels across the street, not the inns by the water.

The room was perfect for my 6 year old and I. Breakfast spot across the street, pizza down the block and the wharf down the street. I loved the location and the hotel. I’m already looking to return back soon!

Nice clean room, the LED lighting above the crown moulding added a nice touch. Minutes walk time away from the Embarcadero by Giovanni’s fish market, and a couple of minutes drive time to the rock. Great location for the price!

Everything was great. The staff were wonderful. The beds and showers were nice. No amenities. Small property. Parking is tricky, but that is normal in Morro Bay. Very clean. It is very walkable and convenient. We had a good time.

Didn’t like that the office is closed part of the day. It was within walking distance to the ward/embarcadero. Room that we had no closet or chest of drawers for clothes. The shower needs to be updated no way to control flow of water. We liked the fact that the property was quiet. We will definitely consider Bluff top in the future if there are upgrades.

Small room but recently renovated and very modern. Great bathroom and shower. Comfy bet and sofa. Lots of amenities. Only disappointment was no dresser drawers and no closet. Only a few hangers on a wall rack. Even though we would definitely return. Only a block from the Embarcadero and very walk able.

Good spot for a couple of nights - no frills but clean & appears to be newly renovated. Important to know the front desk is only staffed until 10pm so no late check in. My stay overlapped with graduation weekend at Cal Poly so it was a bit pricey but under normal circumstances, I think it would be a pretty good value. Easy to walk around Morro Bay from this spot.

Very close to the rock. Great location. The room is small but just enough for overnight stay. No other amenities. Just the room. No elevator to the second floor so don’t bring anything very heavy. The stairs to go up is not fully covered so don’t forget your umbrella and nonskid shoes—-it could get slick with the rain.

Room was not ready on time but we were never offered anything not even a bottle of water. One room was ready but mine was almost an hour late. The poor maid was apologizing profusely when trying to finish. Good things are it was great location, room was awesome, and close to everything. Some munchies or something to eat in the office would be nice too instead of 3 dollar drinks cash only

Our first time staying here but not the last. The room was clean, well set up and very comfortable with lots of areas for our belongings. We appreciated the comfortable bed, ambient lights and cosy bedding. Parking was plenty and very convenient. It’s walkable to the wharf too!

There are lots of can and cannot do signs. Which felt a bit unwelcoming making it feel like you are walking in egg shells rather than comfy. Additionally, no make up remover cloths were provided but said they will charge you for any cloth used to remove make up.

Wouldn't help me out with a cancelation 24 hours before which would have easily been rented. And the room upstairs came in very late and were up all night... floor does not have any sound dampening. Was not able to sleep all night.

Housekeeping was friendly and helpful in locating ice machine. Otherwise, there was no one in the office or around when we went to check out and leave.
Clean, comfortable, enough hot water, etc. Nothing special but worked well for the one night

We only stayed one night so really didn't have a full experience. It was clean, looked
like was recently upgraded. I would've liked a privacy window treatment on the street side. Like a darkening on the windows themselves, but allows you to see out, but not in. The drapes offered that, so we kept the windows closed.
Nice to have a small refrigerator, small microwave, coffee maker. There were 2 buttons on the microwave that was kind of worn off from use, so you couldn't see what the buttons said.
Lighting was great, especially the reading lights. I liked having 3 end tables as well as
the dining table.
It was a comfortable room. Very close to the wharf. Would probably stay again.

We stayed in a 1QB room. The room looked newly or recently renovated. It’s a small room but perfect for a single traveler or a couple. Very cute decor and VERY CLEAN. We stayed Sunday-Wednesday. It was nice and quiet during our stay. There are signs in the rooms reminding guests that from 10 pm-9 am is Quiet Time, so please keep your voices and TVs down. A short walk from the Embarcadero. The staff was helpful and friendly. There was a mini fridge, microwave and new coffee pod type coffee maker. 10/10 would stay here again.

We have stayed in many many hotels and we have never stayed in one quite as nice. Newly renovated with nice extra touches. Ceiling fan and lighting above crown mouldings were something we don't normally see. Thicker than normal bath towels too!
Location is great - one block from the water and multiple restaurants. We were very pleasantly surprised because the room was pretty cheap. Would definitely stay again.

We just got back from our stay at Blufftop Inn during spring break. This property was listed as excellent and it did not disappoint.
We arrived just after sunset and I wasn't impressed by the looks of this small 2 story inn. However, looking closer at it the next morning I could see the nice flooring on the staircase and hallways. The room was very clean and open. Usually I don't notice the lighting in the room unless it is poor, but I noticed how nice the lighting was in our room. Also plenty of well placed outlets for charging. The TV hooked up easily to my phone for watching my streaming apps.
I got the room for a great price so I wasn't expecting it to match an excellent review. As long as in was clean I would have been satisfied. The room was as advertised, excellent.

We booked a night as a last minute decision and we’re so glad it worked out as it did. The room was clean and upgraded. My daughter and I really liked the decor. The bed was comfortable. The front desk staff was nice too. The best was the location and walking distance to Morro Rock. You never know what you get with these little beach hotels/motels but this was a great spot. Would definitely visit again. Thx u for a nice time!

I had a great stay at the Blufftop Inn and Suites. The room was clean, comfortable, and appeared to be recently renovated. I especially appreciated the modern touches like USB-C outlets and a variable-speed ceiling fan. The bed was very comfortable—not overly firm like many hotel beds.

The room also had a mini-fridge and microwave, which was a nice convenience. The location is excellent—very close to the Embarcadero and right across from a great breakfast spot. Parking was easy and convenient.

The only downside was the lack of storage space. There was no closet or dresser, and the hangers were placed over a countertop, making them difficult to use. It wasn’t a deal breaker, but something to be aware of.

Overall, this is a great value for the price, and I would definitely stay here again.

I loved the room and the lighting options. It was perfect. I especially loved that I could walk everywhere. Great value for a great stay! Staff made check in easy and smooth. The walls are pretty thin so I could hear my neighbors conversations in every direction, however, it was quiet by 10p.m. I would stay here again!

The room was cozy, clean and newly remodeled and was really nice. The only downside is we almost got locked out of our room twice because our key card wasn’t working and even having it replaced. until we had the front desk come and try to open our door and they had to fix something with the key reader. And no breakfast but that’s okay. Other than that a very pleasant stay. Would visit again.

The room was updated and clean however we could hear the neighbors talking late at night (2am) through the walls. They had a sign mentioning that happens since it is an old building, i guess we just got bad neighbors.
But maybe the establishment needs to work on that next. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay

Renovations were extensive and result in a beautiful facility. Very stylish, clean and comfortable. Great staff. Try to get an upstairs room because the upstairs to downstairs sound proofing is a little weak so the movements upstairs are pretty loud through the ceiling downstairs (but not intolerably so).
