Didn’t feel clean, bed was not comfortable, and the shower leaked water all over the bathroom. SLO needs more cheap hotel options so I want this place to succeed, but they’ve gotta put some care into it

The room was clean. However there was leftover stains on the sheets which looked like blood but the sheets had been washed. The mirror above the bathroom sink looked like it was something out of a horror movie.
The parking is horrific and trying to pull out of the place going left or right is really hard because it's a freeway on ramp and offramp. Very dangerous. The parking lot needs to be resurfaced. And there is not ample parking. But for the price the room was clean-ish. Would I stay here again probably not.

DIRTY, insect in my room floor not swept or vacuumed. Ice machine worked one day and the next day not working, I put $2.30 in the soda machine and couldn’t get anything out and it wouldn’t give back my money. And the manager said that it’s not responsible for monies lost. I don’t recommend this motel

Staff have poor hospitality skills. They were not rude, but they expressed no gratitude nor welcoming spirit. Property was fine. When I checked in the clerk spent the entire interaction on the phone. I don’t know the conversation because it was neither English nor Spanish. I am not clear from the experience the clerk even spoke English. Maybe an attempt at interaction in any language would have been better. When I checked out the next morning, the clerk on duty (a different person) said nothing to me as I returned the room key card. Go someplace else if you want any kind of service. You won’t get it here.

When we arrived there was a couple in front of us trying to get refunded for their room because of roaches. After they left I asked if I could just cancel my room instead of checking in. The man at the front desk tried to tell us the couple was lying about the bugs in the room. Rundown place, terrible parking and parking lot broken concrete and uneven. Old building. Rooms super small. Broken outlets. Super small bathroom and we stayed in a “suite”. No amenities. Only plus was that it was literally next to freeway entrance.

Dont stay here unless you cant find anywhere else to stay . The staff is unkind i booked online check in time is after 3pm i was told my reservation was only going to be held until 630pm gps put us there at 622pm . I have traveled before and usually reservations are good until midnight because of traffic and other issues. The office staff is very rude. The place was dirty and furniture was ran down . Almost like the office staff gave us the worst room on purpose . The outside second floor ealk way is hazardous. Its uneven and weak in certain places .Almost like you can fall through. I seen a bug in the bathroom (baby roach )and im pretty sure the rest of its family was lurking in the walls and furniture. The coffee maker didn't work . Just awful stay . But it was a last minute trip and everything else was booked .lesson learned book ahead in a better hotel .

The property looks clean during the day. The staff was friendly checking in. The problems was at night when the roaches come out. Tried telling the staff and they were bothered by the situation. Tried asking to move us to another room far away from that one and all they did was change is to the room next to it. We checked out and tried to cancel the rest of our reservation. The staff got mad and said they were not going to reimburse the rest of the days we had already paid. Really upset at the situation.

The manager, Nick, is a very nice guy who was super accommodating when we had a problem with our TV. This is one of the nicer budget downtown hotels in SLO. Close to everything, clean, and reasonably updated. I would stay here again.

First, I don't judge budget motels against higher level properties. I actually usually like places that are a little funky. With that said, this place was pretty dreadful. I was in town with my daughter for a soccer tournament and did not have the opportunity to book well ahead of time. We have stayed in the SLO area several times, from beach hotels to higher level properties. By the time we booked, rates were sky high. I read the reviews for this property and knew it wouldn't be fabulous. However, the first impression is that it's just a little weird. Check in was fast, no more than two minutes. In that two minutes, I was told, \"no pets, no, smoking, no visitors - check out at 11,\" at least three times. The room was hot when we opened the door. The dresser was missing a handle on one of the drawers. Half of the power outlets did not work. There was a hair in the shower drain so the water would not vacate. I pulled it out and it was the size of a small rodent, so it has not been cleaned properly in awhile.
I would not stay again, but to the hotels credit, it was relatively quiet at night. The location is not great, but you are very close to the freeway to get to the nicer parts of SLO.

Chose this place for its low price when visiting Cal Poly. The motel is worn out but mostly functional. When checking in, I was advised three times that smoking and visitors are not allowed. As a mother of two close to age 50, I found this to be a bit odd and mostly amusing. Beds were okay and we were able to scramble up enough outlets for charging devices.

The room was terrible. The sheets and bathroom were clean but the carpet old and grimy like all the furniture (including the bed). The carpet felt sticky to walk on and the curtains looked they had not been replaced (or cleaned since the 80s). It did not reflect the photo in the advertisement at all. I have the feeling that not all rooms were like mine and I was given one of the worst because I had prepaid and my reservation was non refundable. Not worth the money at all.
