Great Air Conditioning!!!
Lena
Nice, clean pool and good AC! Basic room and amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful. The property was pretty noisy with rowdy guests going up and down stairs and lingering outside on the balconies.
Edgar H
Great service
JEANIE
Appreciate that the motel was pet-friendly and didn’t charge extra.
Peter
What amenities? Don't even have a coffeemaker in the room, hard soap bar provided (no shampoo), no breakfast, no black tea on offer for a.m. hot drinks -they do provide coffee & green tea(only) in the lobby. Staff/customer relations need a bit of work- my wife was yelled at by a man with a pretty thick accent who was difficult for both of us to understand. The HDMI port was broken and the shower surround had holes in it. Meh. . . was the cheapest thing we could find and we got what we paid for.
Jacqueline
I stayed in room #122 and on the bed there were bed bugs in the bed! When i informed the staff they got a 3rd party to inspect the room. They said no bed bugs in the room but i have pics and video of the bed bugs in the bed!
Rhea
Terrific staff!!! For me, this speaks volumes. Great coffee, comfortable rooms. I also feel safe here.
Lisa
Clean room, wel lit property, great parking, air conditioner worked great (perfect white noise for sleeping.
Lisa
Honestly, the room was very small with little space. There were enough shelves and a suitcase rack to set you suitcase or bags on. The entire property was well lit and clean. The property is old but very well maintained. The ladies in the office were WONDERFUL!!! SUPER HELPFUL, KIND, GRACIOUS. Every hotel needs staff as amazing as these ladies.
Janice
Rude staff ,floor dirty . Spilled water , cleaned with towel ,towel filthy. No shampoo. Will never go back .
arturo
Everyone is amazing and very helpful

Amazing like staying there
Liz
No issues, they need to add air filters in the restrooms. It gets humid bad. Other than that it’s good and cleaning at your daily stay.
Shawna
Room was clean and well maintained.
Catherine
Pets stay free! Plus there were bags available if you didn't have one handy. That being said, some pet owners didn't pick up after their pups which was disappointing to see. The property was well maintained. Bring your own toiletries. We always travel with our own shampoo and conditioner but if you don't, be sure to bring it as there was only bar soap in the room. We enjoyed our stay and it was close enough to Morro Bay and Pismo Beach.
Arthur
What i like about that property is its near the 101 freeway, and close to target, and Costco, and up the street is Food 4 less. Awesome place to come and stay and sleep.
Lesley
SSuper clean and quiet. I would definitely stay here again. Best part is that dogs are free to stay!
Thomas
Good value stay for the money.
Maria
Excellent place to stay, very quiet and clean. Would highly recommend.
shawn
The room was clean, the staff friendly enough, but some of the other people were loud and we ended up not getting ANY sleep
MATTHEW
The bed nearly killed my back; I had to switch position and slept at the foot of the bed where the mattress wasn’t damaged from old age. The shower tub was stained. Overall 2 stars for this Motel 6.
Wenis
Nice for quick stay.
VICTOR

Jessica
Great place to stay
Lea
I can always count on the rooms being clean and safe. Only problem is I wish there were charging ports. That’s not a big concern as long as I remember to pack my own!
MARTIN
The no fees for our pet was a big plus. We booked this hotel because it was far away from the fireworks. Quiet neighborhood.
Astric
Room was very clean, staff was beyond nice.
Darrin
Bathroom had hair everywhere in the tub it wasn’t cleaned
Elisa
This place was a great Motel. Bed was a bit hard, not enough pillows and no complimentary coffee in the room, but overall clean and safe. My family will stay again.

It is right next to the 101 freeway and amazing view
Lynnette
The room was nicely renovated and room was very spacious. The room has microwave and fridge. The curtains kept most of the sun out. Lots of channels to browse from. Cleaning staff were excellent.
The towels were very tiny, I would recommend bringing your own bath towels if you plan to stay longer, as well as pillows. There was only 2 pillows on the bed, I usually prefer 2 per person since these pillows were extremely thin, and the bed wasn’t very comfy either. Overall if those last things don’t bother you much then this is a very decent stay and not bad for it’s price

Clean room, friendly staff, no frills but just what I needed. A safe and comfortable room.
Jane
Motel 6 is generally not my go to, however, the STAFF was so friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised given the age of the ROOM, it was nicely UPDATED and very CLEAN. PARKING was a breeze, and FREE! We were planning a late evening and asked for LATE CHECKOUT and the Staff was ACCOMMODATING. While they offered breakfast, we overslept and didn’t make it.
I’d stay there again.
I’d stay there again.

It’s been awhile for us to stay in this Motel 6.
The property was very clean and the tidy grounds reflect the great conditions of the property.
We traveled with our two small dogs, which are free.
It was a comfortable bed and the tv and amenities were good.
The only thing that we were not aware of was that there was no shampoo in the shower and we had to go all the way to the office to collect it.
I think that those items should have be given to us at Check In Time.
Great value for a weekend stay.
Thanks

Everything was very clean, and I was surprised at how quiet it was each night. Even though several guests had pets, once inside our room, we never heard them. The grounds in the courtyard were nicely maintained. No coffee in the room, but the fridge and microwave were sufficient to store creamer and heat up water for some instant coffee I had brought. Sheets and towels were clean, bed was fine, staff was kind. I was pleasantly surprised by our stay at this \"2-star\" motel. Happy with the price we paid, especially in beautiful San Luis Obispo!
Mike
My room was very loud with either the AC unit making odd noises or rats in the walls. Smelled like cigarettes, i found it mostly to be coming from the vinyl seat at the table. The bathroom lock was installed backwards, meaning you could lock someone IN the bathroom. I reported that issue upon checkout.
I do not recommend, there are plenty of other places to stay.

The room was clean, property was clean and maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. The shower pressure was perfect with plenty of hot water and plenty of parking. The best were the beds, they were the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in at a Motel 6, they were just amazing!!!!
Mark
Great staff and very nice room for the money.
Aaron
Best Motel 6 on the central coast other than the Santa Barbara location that is one block from the ocean and you can see it from your room. Hotel has centrally located pool. Rooms are clean and updated.
Salbador
We love staying here , the staff is nice , my room was very quite and it is very safe here , I had a lot of tools in my truck and nothing went missing , we brought our dogs along too and the staff was very welcoming , it’s situated in a nice and private street .
Marcelo
Great room to sleep did its job
Paul
Slightly off the beaten path.

pretty good overall kind of shady but just great

Freeway & shopping close. Clean , comfortable rooms. They could use a better tv cable selection . The franchise owners must have bought the cheapest cable package they could find. Also very hard to find channels.

RALPH JACK
Overall, for a motel 6 the rooms were clean and check-in was very easy. Unfortunately, the phone in the room did not work and there was no coffee pot or hairdryer. That, we could live with, but the other guests were very loud at night so it made it hard to sleep at night.
clemente
Need surveillance cameras
john
Only there for 1 night but they made it easy and comfortable
Grace
Nice and clean
Elizabeth
The night I got there (after 11pm) they were using a contactless system to check people in. From my understanding this is new to this location. There was a problem with the payment machine which held up 7 other people from checking in. I understand problems happen, but it being a new system the motel should consider having someone on property to help move things along. Didn’t get into our room till midnight.
Mariana
It was very nice, clean and quiet

Good

Stayed for 2 nights. Housekeeping did not service the room after the first night, so we had to request fresh towels from the front desk. Enjoyed the pool, although the water was a bit too cold. Only two pillows on the bed... could have used a couple more.
Katherine
Not good.
Sheri
Did not use laundry, parking OK.
Birgit A
The property was clean and quiet. I had a really good stay.
Laina
Clean room. Very nice. Didn't spend much time at hotel. But was great
Tevana
The room was clean and about what you would expect. Thin mattress and thin bedding, but they did provide extra blankets upon request. The real issues were the smoke alarm and the maintenance staff. The smoke alarm or carbon monoxide detector went off randomly and the solution they provided was to remove it completely. Then at 8am on Sunday morning someone banged on my door to demand to know if I was checking out. After I called the front desk to verify that checkout was at 11am, I was told that I was mistaken. The maintenance guy knocked on the door to the next room over. Then the maintenance and cleaning staff rumbled carts up and down outside the rooms, speaking loudly and arguing.
The manager maintained that I was incorrect about the door pounding and I told him that I didn’t have a reason to lie but the staff member did AND that even if it was the other door, it was still THREE hours before checkout. Stay next door at the Courtyard if you can afford it, it’s worth the extra money.

We stay at the Motel 6 San Luis Obispo South every time we come to town. It is affordable and a very nice property with lots of trees and in a safe area. Staff is always friendly and helpful. We like this place very much. The only complaint is the noisy big rig trucks that park in the back and fire up very early in the morning. Some of the best rooms are at the back but be prepared for the noise!
arturo
Everything been good love staying here
Arthur
What i liked about the property was it was in a great location, the 101 freeway is right there and everything else was amazing. The staff at motel 6 were amazing and awesome. They do an amazing job to take care of customers
Cindy
Nice, please stay.
Bryan
Independently owned and operated, the staff was amazing. The facilities were very clean and everything was up-to-date. A real joy. Easy to get to, easy to check in and plenty of parking. Loved it!
Edward
I’ve stayed at quite a few Motel 6 locations, and I can confidently say this San Luis Obispo spot is the absolute best of them all.
A few things really stood out during my stay:
The Bed: Unlike a lot of motels where the beds can be hit-or-miss, the mattress here was firm, solid, and incredibly comfortable. I got a great night's sleep.
The parking lot was spacious, easy to navigate, and felt very safe and secure throughout my stay.
Traveling with two small dogs can sometimes be a challenge, but this location made it so easy. There is plenty of nice, grassy space right on the property, making quick outdoor trips with the dogs completely hassle-free and convenient.
If you're traveling through SLO—especially with pets—look no further. Highly recommended!

Not bad for the price. The bed was uncomfortable and the walls were really thin and could hear our neighbors moving around.
Sandy
Property very clean. Bed comfy, great pillows . Staff In office could be friendlier but overall our favorite motel 6. Pups happy too!
James
Would stay again, decent location by grocery stores and shopping. A short uber into downtown. They let us use iron and ironing board, and blow dryer, so ask the front desk!

Yes laundry was on site and parking was great. Motel 6 is better than any other motel we have ever stayed in. We are coming back to motel 6on Monday afternoon soon as i get off work. Motel 6 is a good place to stay.
Arthur
Yes laundry was close by and on site. Rooms are awesome amazing, AC cools 😎 you down in mins. Romms are awesome. Just wish they could let people stay monthly, but overall awesome place to stay the night or two or more.

Room was clean, check in/out was quick. Coffee was good and fresh every morning. Parking was free and close to the room. Dogs stay free and outdoor spaces were adequate for dogs. Will stay again.
Laura
Perfect for a 1 night stay!
Ingrid
Just a heads up, there were no shampoo and conditioner. I told them and they said it’s available upon request. I told them to put a note in the room or on their website. Towels were old and rough to the skin.

Everything perfect to us

Difficult experience with virtual check-in. The system went down and we had to wait an extra 15 minutes. Wasn’t sure if it was coming back. Tried to call the hotel phone number and it got a busy signal many times. Overall lousy experience.
