Pool was nice
Derek
The room was great, location was easy to find and just a short walk to the beach. We only got stay one night but would love to revisit and spend more time at the pool and beach fire pits. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a great stay and excellent beach front facility in Pismo Beach.
James
It was great!
Judie
Bathroom had a water leak somewhere as floor was wet. Could not find the leak coming from the floor. Fire pits are great just wished they were up higher so you could see the ocean
Kristina
Great location, beautiful views, staff was friendly. Some furniture, flooring could use an update but overall very clean, and has everything you need.
Donna
The Spyglass Inn is the perfect location for your getaway! It’s located on the border of Shell Beach and Pismo Beach. I stayed at the Spyglass Inn for a different experience as I didn’t want to stay in the busy downtown Pismo Beach area. And I wanted the gorgeous view of the ocean, scenery and the quiet location. The new restaurant, The Westerly, is located on the hotel premises. It has the best view of the ocean and scenery from the patio. There are several restaurants nearby as the other (3) hotels next door located along the cliff offer food and cocktails and there’s a sushi restaurant and deli across the street that makes delicious sandwiches, and they sell wine and all kinds of snacks, cheese and goodies. The Spyglass Inn has S’mores kits you can buy and make them in the evening at the fire pits on the property. A swimming pool and hot tub too! I’ll be back for sure!
Shylah
I’d only come back for the ocean view room (very nice). Otherwise the site is pretty mediocre compared to neighboring stays.
Rachel
Unfortunately, we had an unpleasant stay. The carpets were extremely dirty within five minutes both of my kids feed Black. We had to keep washing our feet in the entire time were there as we were just walking around in the bedroom not to mention breathing it all in. They have a pool, but it has a lot of adults drinking alcohol in it. My kids weren’t able to swim.
Mattie
Friendly staff and clean rooms. Fire pits are a plus!
Keri
Clean, quiet and easy access to freeway and beach.
Randy
Rooms are clean but dated
Patty
Room was ok. Needed a microwave at least. Paying extra for parking is ridiculous
Arash
Perfect
Christopher
The property was situated beautifully with exceptional views. The fire pits were great! The hotel and certainly the walkways just felt dirty the walkways looked like they had not been power washed in years. The views made up for any shortcomings elsewhere.
Kayla
Great location! Clean place! Love the access to the beach!!
Michael
Everything was fantastic.
Kathaleen
The room was clean and not cramped. The staff was friendly and helpful. The coffee was watered down. Overall, this is a good value.
Amy
carpets were dirty. We were in a room yhat was like a dungeon, Description online makes it seem all rooms have different cean view. That is not the case. We haave the income to spend on an ocean view, but the delux Queen room didnt have that and for the price should have. Highly disappointed.
Karen
The check in to the hotel was very easy. The hotel property was dirty, the only nice party was the rooms facing the beach. The room was spacious but the furniture was very dusty and the carpet was very dirty, to the point where my socks were black from walking around in the room.
Norma
Liked our partial view of the ocean and access to the beach close by. Be prepared to pay nightly parking…I was not aware of this when I made the reservation.
Michael
An outstanding view out the balconies facing the ocean! A surprisingly good restaurant! The bed was very comfortable. The shower was great. I have nothing but praise for this place!
Every place we wanted to go was a quick trip. Pismo is wonderful! The Thursday night farmers market in San Luis Obispo amazing!

Won't stay here again, they say they're dog friendly, once you arrive they charge you an extra $75 night per a pet. The $10 prepay parking they said was for Hotels.com com only. Had to also pay them again arriving at the Hotel.
Alina
Front desk person was not friendly when we arrived. Requested early check-in, which seemed to annoy her even though I explained I know I’m early and it’s not automatic. She said she would call when room was ready and of course I waited till 330 showed up to ask if it was ready and they said they called me but they never did. Also, I upgraded to a water View room luckily we did not bring our dog because when I finally checked in, they said no dogs allowed and there was only one room left brochure claims it is dog friendly. Also stains on the carpet and cigarette holes patio furniture cushions.
Kristie
Great stay! I just wish there was a coffee pit and a microwave in our room. They did have a microwave and coffee available for use in the lobby.
Fatima

Jessica
We had our dog with us and the amazing front desk staff gave us a little gift bag for our dog, plus a great list of pet-friendly spots in town. Room was beautiful and very peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.
Chantelle
Great hot tub
Dayanara
I wouldn’t have stayed at this location And paid the amount I did for the room location that I had. Room view was bad, and the whole place looks a little worn down.
The only plus would be the walking area by the ocean. That area is pretty and looks like the pictures.
Wouldn’t stay here again.

jordan
Great place to vacation🙌
John
It was a good stop for an overnight stay on trip up CA coast.
Jessica
Carpet was crusty and stained. There was no light in the room. There was no soap for the hand sink.
Kristin
The carpets are filthy . The shower made a loud noise and there were no C adapters to charge phones.
Heather
Amazing views; updated property! I wish we could have stayed longer. Clean and comfortable!
Bonnie
Clean, quiet, well maintained, while still showing the charm of Pismo Beach. Great pool and spa. Lovely access to the bluff over the beach cliffs, respectful campfires and neighbors.
Madaline
The walkways need to be sprayed off.
All the walkways were dirty.

Great stay, thank you!
Sabrina
Not fancy, but quaint. Has a nice walking path and fire pits for s’mores making. The Westerly restaurant on property was a pleasant surprise as well. (Definitely have the clam chowder and sourdough bread). Would stay here again.
Marcos
Awesome area very close to walkway of view of beach.
Lea
Amazing
Jane
Room was roomy, clean and comfortable. The restaurant Westerly was right next door and very good!!
The pillows were to die for too!

The area is nice. But the room we got was disappointing. The picture on the website is very misleading. I thought it is facing the beach, but i didn’t realize that they have rooms that are at the back with no view.
Eileen
Excellent location. Close to the beach.
Ken
I felt the property was overpriced for what we received. Conditioner dispenser was empty/not working and a bathroom sink handle was broken.
No ocean view and we paid $1200 for 3 nights.

ANDREA
Beautiful views, fire pit by the cliffs. Great stay!
ANDREA
Excellent stay, beautiful views!
Deborah
Beautiful beach view room
Andrew
Expensive for what you get. Have to pay $10 per day for parking and $40 per day for pets. The non ocean rooms should be a lot less.
Sandra
The room was clean. Staff was nice. Bed was pretty comfortable. However the hotel is old and in need of repairs. Also there was no place to hang your wet towels and swim suits. I recommend adding some towel racks and hooks.
C Steve
Great restaurant on site.
Fidel
The room was kinda small, the staff was great, especially house keeping.
Sara
We loved our room and view. The room needs some work to make accessible shower and bath more functional and easier to use. Rooms need additional table to put stuff on.
Refrigerator was broken and didn’t seal shut.

Perfect location, beautiful property, lovely rooms. Loved the fire pits and adirondack chairs overlooking the ocean. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the beds were super comfy. The new restaurant on site was really good and the view can’t be beat! We will definitely be back!
Ankeet
very highly priced for the condition of the property. we had ripped carpets, carpets were dusty. condition of the overall property was not upto the mark. Staff was very supportive, authorized for a partial refund.
Edgar
Great staff , great customer service .
Ruben
Clean and fresh smelling room.
Janell
Outdated but clean
Luis
Very nice room and close beach access
Gerardo
Parking is expensive. Room was clean. Had a great view. Pool is nice and heated.
John
They charge extra for parking
Pamela
The best part was the ocean view and the 3 fire pits at night. Beautiful landscaping and great walking path above the ocean
The Westerly restaurant was very good as well. Fish and chips was excellent.

Manuel
Clean room.
Renee
It was a comfortable overnight stay the room was very clean. They had a restaurant on site.
Lisa
We loved the location of the hotel, private with lovely landscaping and a great place to bring our dog. We wish it had a microwave! We were charged $10 a day for parking and $75 a day for our dog. For three nights that adds up to a lot on top of the room rate. Most hotels charge a pet rate for your stay, not per night. Bed needed to be replaced and the fold out sofa was uncomfortable as a sofa and looked like a FB marketplace find. Did not match decor at all. It’s summer so we weren’t surprised at the extra charges. We know this keeps Pismo and Shell Beach up and running for the year.
Robert
Enjoyed ocean front balcony. Comfy king bed. Clean facilities. We will be back
VIVINA
The carpets was dirty. And we have our two little dogs and charge $40 each and nothing for them like no food, or bed or something nothing at all
jeremy
wonderful location staff is friendly and helpful. Thank you Lily and Denise.
Gina
Outstanding location; beautiful ocean view & walk; friendly, helpful staff
DIANA
Very clean!
Melissa
The pool and spa were very clean. Loved that it was a non-smoking property. Good ocean view, close to tide pools and beaches.
Estela
Expected a fireplace in my room but no luck. the beds were super soft and the view was beautiful. Enjoyed sipping coffee while dolphin watching
. Overall it was a good place.

Took the wife for a surprise one night trip. We got the first floor fireplace and patio room facing the ocean. It was great. She absolutely loved it. The attached restaurant is incredible! The fire pits out back are amazing too. Love the walkway down the cliffs. We will absolutely be back.
Stephanie
Rooms were really nice loved the walking area by the beach viewing all the hotels!
Desiree
The hotel looked nothing like what it was advertised I was so disappointed. The room smelled so bad the carpet was so dirty in the hotel. The pictures of the rooms were very misleading they looked way bigger. This was a low budget motel that was over priced. It seemed like a motel 6 quality
Julitza
Beautiful stay. However the sheets had blood on them. Should’ve been offered a discount, was just offered a free smores kit.
francine
Need bathroom by pool. Check in needs to be closer to 2pm not 4pm.
Pamela
Very clean and comfortable room. Loved the patio but the outdoor chairs were past their prime and need to be upgraded.
Vanessa
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. Easy check-in, great staff very accommodating. There are fire pits for the guests to use, although a lot of people walking by the fire pits just go and use them so there’s no verification whether or not you’re a guest at the hotel. So needless to say, didn’t never get a chance to use them as a guest. The rooms were very clean. We got one with the fireplace king size bed to be honest I feel that the prices were a little steep because of the condition of the room that we stayed in… You could tell they hadn’t really updated the Dicor in a long time so it was very old looking, but it was comfortable so I will give them that. I may or may not stay at this hotel again?
Saul
I come here at least 5-6 times a year for a quick getaway and relax in front of the ocean . No complaints at all perfect place to enjoy pismo and Avila beach .
Melissa
Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Access to beach walk area was very nice and convenient. Well maintained landscaping and seating along the coast. Room was dark with very little window access to sunlight due to porch covering. Room smelled strongly of cleaning supplies. Overall room was pretty basic for the location and cost. Rooms facing the water are probably better lit. Customer service could use improvement.
Leah
I highly recommend!!!! Will definitely be coming back to this hotel
Michelle
A beautiful inn, with wonderful sights, good breakfasts, staff is perfect and he rooms are comfortable. This place is great for a week long get-away!
Laura
Overall, this day was a four out of five Expedia hotel details states we have a view from the back of the hotel. However, the bushes are overgrown and we’re unable to see the ocean. Other than that, everything was great.
NICOLE
The property was in an excellent location
Susan
My stay was perfect. Not one thing wrong. The desk clerk name started with a T female was outstanding. Her customer service was incredible!
Yukiko
Comfortable stay with dogs. Enjoyed walking through ocean. Dog friendly restaurants list from the front was very helpful.
David
The ocean views were beautiful! The grounds were also pretty.
Araceli
Enjoyed the stay. It was a last minute booking, very surprised with the accommodation and how lovely it was. Disappointed that the restaurant attached closed at 7 pm on a holiday weekend when other resorts were open till 9. Otherwise great spot, beautiful views
Rudolph
There were stains on the rug in our room. My daughter also had a stain on her sheet and wouldn't sleep on the bed. I had to buy 2 beach towels, so she could lay on them.
Erdenebayar
Everything was perfect, Thank you.
Amanda
The rooms are in need of updating, and wear and tear is definitely showing, especially in the bathrooms. The $10 parking charge also feels excessive. Another major issue was the water pressure while taking a shower, the pressure and heat were fine at first, then suddenly the water pressure dropped. I turned up the heat, and then when the pressure came back, the water became scalding hot. It was frustrating and unsafe. I used to love staying here, but considering the price and the current condition of the property, I’m not sure I’ll be back.
Shirley
The hot tub here is really small.
We go there for the view. We always get an ocean front room ground floor room.
Out in the yard they have seating with fire pits.
What’s not to love.

Very disappointed in room. Ended up in below parking lot level room with view of car tires. Thought I paid for partial ocean view. When checked in they told me for extra $50 a night I could have different room. Plenty of other hotels for the price.
Cielo Condes
everything was perfect. i recommend the place.
