The staff was alright, but the rooms were very minimal. The beds look and feel like IKEA specials. There was mold growing in the shower. There must not be any insulation in the walls, as I could clearly hear a phone call in the adjoining room and hours worth of children upstairs running and jumping in their room above mine. I suppose if all you want is a room near the beach and don't mind not sleeping, this motel would suffice.

Staff are amazing. Second weekend in a row. Brought other family to join us. They had for 4th of July S'mores boxes. So sweet for the holiday weekend. Spent 3 nights and had 2 rooms. Will not be our last trip there. Looking forward to our next trip.

This was perfect. We were up for a grandchilds graduation and we just needed a place to retire to for the 2 nights and it was clean and close to a convenience store, restaurant and our sons house. Plus the beach is right around the corner, as is the great diner where we had breakfast. Microwave and refrigerator, smart tv, WiFi etc. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We’ll be back.

First of all, they seem to be very understaffed. Upon arrival, you need to ring the bell because the person is busy doing a bunch of other stuff (such as housekeeping). Ice is only available upon request (so only when the office is open). Housekeeping for multiple-day stays is only available upon request. That means no new cups, coffee or beds made. I feel that if I'm paying they same amount for each day, then I should receive the same service each day!
There was a very bright light right outside our window that the curtain was unable to block (see picture). The room felt a bit like a cave (small and dark).

An ok room nothing special. Staff on check in wasn’t very nice and acted like we were imposing. There are many many other places that are more welcoming with better rooms. No water pressure hard to get shampoo and conditioner out of your hair couldn’t wait to get to our next hotel.

That hotel was a kind of shock for us. I have to admit that room was clean and comfortable, but it is a small roadside motel, rather than hotel, in a very unattractive area.
No amenities at all. Room’s window faced a wall. Other rooms face a loud and busy street, so we were actually lucky. It was OK for us to spend a night on our road trip, but definitely do not recommend.

As for the inn, it served as an excellent place of repose after a day of seaside indulgence. The beds were notably comfortable—so much so that one might briefly question whether returning home is truly necessary—and the rooms were maintained with commendable cleanliness. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, as though the establishment anticipated both our arrival and our reluctance to leave.
In summary, the experience struck a fine balance between practicality and pleasure: close enough to the ocean to hear the waves, yet comfortable enough indoors to make ignoring them a tempting option.

I was disappointed that there was a bright light from the outside hallway beaming into my room and the supposed “black out shades” did nothing of the sort. The room was so bright I could read a book in bed at night with all room lights off. The mattress was old and springy. Walls are thin and I could hear snoring from the room next to me even with the fan on.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff is kind and inviting. Although over the years they have made tremendous improvement overall to the property and rooms, they need to attend to the details. I suggest the room service staff be trained in housekeeping/hospitality cleaning. Again it's the details that matter and will bring this hotel to the next level.

Clean, great price, super pleasant staff. Judging by the name you'd think there'd be sand everywhere in the room. Not the case. Surprisingly clean. Bit noisy with street traffic in morning but maybe ask for back bldg away from street. Got in at midnight so didnt see until morning but next door was a liquor/convenience/deli. Less than a minute drive to the main Pismo Beach access. Took kid surf fishing in morning. We are used to more hotels in SLO than motels, but we would 100% book a room here again. Generally speaking, no negatives, only positives! Thanks!

As we walked to the room we were dismayed to see the condition of the external walkways and stairs. What was left of the outdoor carpet was very dirty.

We took a look at the room and thought it was going to be an unpleasant night. Then we smelled the room and knew we could not stay there.

We turned the key back in at the desk and drove away to find another hotel.

By the way, the pictures on hotels.com lead one to think that this property is on the beach. It is not.

I booked the room based off the photos and I feel that they were very misleading. They did not represent what the property actually looked like. It wasn't terrible, but not like the photos. I also feel like it was priced higher than it should have been for what it was, I have stayed in nicer for less. I am not familiar with the area, as I had never visited before, but it seemed high.

Absolutely no place to hang clothes, not even a hook! Had a king bed, but only one nightstand. The sink was separate from the shower and tub. Typical amenities were provided on the wall in the shower. However, there was no soap available for the sink. The room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. We would not stay there again.

This was the perfect getaway, less than a mile to the beach. Affordable. Comfy beds. Nice staff who upgraded us to a downstairs unit as it was difficult for us to climb stairs, which included a free upgrade from double beds to queen beds. Housekeeping staff was very kind and understanding, as we did get a stomach illness during our trip & had to leave the room in a less than desirable condition. All around, would stay here again.

Smallest least comfortable room.

Smallest room ever. One chair, no desk or table. Asked for a second chair. Grudgingly gave us a second very odd uncomfortable chair. No closet! Not one single hook anywhere to hang ANYTHING. inadequate lighting. Fan in bathroom needs replacing. Rattles and bangs. Only 2 paper cups for drinks and coffee. Not enough plugins for phones and chargers. No ice machine. Manager unfriendly. Young lady who checked me in was very pleasant. Room not cleaned between the two days of our stay. Asked for a do not disturb sign thinking they might actually clean the room each day which they did not. Grumpily told they didn’t have any such thing. Only positive was it was a clean room when we arrived.

This is a clean hotel with an excellent a/c which you can control in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would have liked to have a location for my wife to put her makeup on but she made due with a table. The location is awesome as there is a diner, a mexican restaurant, and the beach nearby. We definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying there again.

Staying at an \"Inn\" with over 9.0 on Expedia seemed like a no-brainer, so I didn't dig deep into what I was getting my family into. When we pulled up, our GPS took us into the parking lot of the liquor store directly next to the motel, where a police car had its lights on and was talking to one person while multiple homeless people sat nearby. We parked near that situation and went into the lobby, which was one small, dingy room. The front desk receptionist was kind and helpful, there's my only positive part of this review. Our room looked okay, but both beds had very sandy sheets and the walls were so thin that even with my white noise blasting, we could hear the neighbors talking (or maybe it was their TV?) through the whole night. I don't want to brag, but I'm really good at sleeping. It takes some NOISE to keep me up. This definitely felt more like a Motel 6 kind of place, and I am convinced that they have padded these positive reviews. There's just NO way this many people thought this motel was an excellent inn.
