About Pismo Lighthouse Suites
Overlooking the surf and sand of sunny Pismo Beach is Pismo Lighthouse Suites, a vibrant all-suite oceanfront hotel featuring 70 newly renovated suites. Each of our two-room, two-bath suites feature 860 to 1, 100 square feet of space and a balcony or patio with varying coastal views.

The Lighthouse was going through a transition to the Pacific Coast Resort during our stay. Breakfast was served at the adjacent property. The staff did a great job keeping up with the flow of people coming through the small venue.
The property was very well maintained during our stay and the room service was always readily available.
The beach access is not directly from the hotel, it is actually an access path that crosses adjacent properties.
We were able to view the Fourth of July fireworks from our balcony with no trouble. It would have been nice of the hotel put on some kind of view party or event for the evening.
Overall a very nice place with clean rooms, nice amenities and helpful staff.

Our stay was amazing. We had a family suite for our family of six and had plenty of room. We enjoyed our stay using both pools and hot tubs, the new game area on the grass with Pickleball, cornhole, ping-pong, and much more. The staff was very helpful and always attentive. Our stay was fantastic and family had a lot of fun.

The suites were designed perfectly for the coastal vibe. Nice to have hook up for electric cars really well was convenient for one out guest. Galley was nice addition. Property is still making good changes. Will have some of our 1st time guest return.

Thought my two bedroom stay included a couch. It did not. They gave us a roll away bed and were incredibly kind about my misunderstanding. Their great service made the resort top notch. Highly recommend! Easy access to beach, pool and food.

Rooms and property were clean. Parking was super easy, also there were electric chargers for those that use EVs. The only thing we had an issue with was we had a first floor room and we can hear the walking of people upstairs. If you can get a higher floor it is probably better. When we were there lots of young families which was great for our kids to make friends and play with.

Was traveling with my 89 yr old mom and didn't realize until we arrived that almost the entire place is in the middle of a rehab. The noice was inescapable and the need to walk to the next complex over across a bridge and not easily acceassible for her and her walker was difficult as I walked myself to bring things back to her several times. Because I booked via a 3rd party, Hotels.com, I was not told of this unfortumate remodel prior to booking and was unable to cancel when we arrived late in the day.

I have to*this review because 1) we always request a pet friendly room and 2) the hotel is going through major renovations. The pet friendly rooms at the lighthouse are actually like smaller apartments. Big and comfortable. We always lament that the pet friendly rooms don’t have carpeting. At all. We would’ve probably brought a throw rug had we known. In January it’s quite cold and not having carpeting can make it less cozy. The bed was very comfortable, pillows were great, there is a buffet breakfast every day that comes with the room, which is very appreciated. Plus the pet friendly rooms are oceanfront with little patios and grassy areas right outside. I’m anxious to see how the renovations look because we definitely will go back and appreciate their hospitality.

We brought our dog on this trip and was sold on this place since it looked affordable and touted that they had a pet bed, treats and bowls for pets. We had to ask for everything when we got there. The pet “bed” was just a cheap blanket. The treats were just some milkbones in a party favor bag. The pet bowls that they post everywhere to remind you not to take ended up just being some cheap plastic pieces which I can’t imagine hold up for several animals. It just felt like a cheap marketing trick. The place is fine for a cheap getaway but if you’re looking for a nice place to treat your pet, this isn’t it.

Pismo Lighthouse Suites is among our favorite places to stay when traveling to Pismo Beach. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the staff are routinely polite and courteous. We enjoyed a peaceful stay [ about ten days after the holiday crowds had gone home :-)]. The location is undergoing some remodeling, which we did not know about when we booked our room, but it did not significantly impact our stay. There were alot of great options to choose for breakfast, but the bacon was paper thin and the eggs were just so-so (not the typical quality we've experienced on previous stays). Still, all-in-all, we like staying here and will likely do so again.

It was our first time at Pismo Lighthouse suites and the entire family loved it. We stayed in the suite with a king bed and two queens. The rooms were very spacious and having the two restrooms was a huge convenience. The kids also loved the play area. Overall a great place to stay with the entire family. Will definitely be returning when staying in Pismo 👍.

Great stay again, we have been there more than 10 times. Disappointed to receive a $140 charge on cc a few days later. Contacted hotel, and was told it was for parking and resort fees. It would have been nice to know that was not included in our original charge. The “resort fee” covered the children play area (we didn’t bring kids), the E-bikes (their internet was down) and the “free breakfast.”

We had a wonderful stay at Pismo Lighthouse. The suite was positively lovely. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Our partial ocean view was great and we loved our balcony. The staff was awesome and very helpful. The only drawback for us was the active children in the suite above us. From the features we saw when making our choice to stay, we knew it was a family/children friendly property. I guess we thought the children would be in school in the middle of October.

We enjoyed staying here for a cousins/girls trip. It was great! We all agreed we would stay here again. The hotel is close to the ocean and the pismo beach pier, and they have nice suites which are like two hotel rooms combined (two bedrooms, two bathrooms!) they have several outdoor family games which people seemed to enjoy.
The price was high after the resort fee even though we split the room cost. The small details of the room felt unclean - like the little corners and tile floors of the room felt like they could be a bit cleaner. I bet it’s more difficult so close to the beach! The room was loud and we heard lots of families and children passing by at various hours.
The pool, while overlooking the ocean, leaves a bit to be desired. It’s very small and not incredibly inviting or appealing which feels sad given it overlooks the ocean!! We appreciated that towels were provided.
The fire pits are cool and fun to use. There’s a lot of great places to eat nearby. We walked to Ventana Grill during sunset.

I was charged $55 at check out, which was not identified at any time until I was leaving. $40 of that was for something called “resort use”. I could not get an explanation from the management what exactly that was. The other $15 was for parking, which was not identified prior to check in or check out. I feel this $55 charge was unethical and clearly planned as a hidden charge. I won’t stay there again
