The hotel is close to the freeway, there’s several places to visit with the kids that are just a few minute drive away. All around very convenient location and a very pleasant stay for us.

Receptionist lady was super rude upon check in. When arrived to desiginated room, pillow was dirty and top sheet cover was stained. Pillow and sheet was fliped to prevent the stains from being seen.

Worst customer service from the lady who’s ran the hotel for the last 12 years. She is very disrespectful even hung up on me after telling me I’m not going to tell her how to run their hotel. They tried charging me the 1st night without my knowledge and when i got there tried charging me my full stay. They charged our credit card 3 times for incidentals for 3 different amounts. By far the worst customer service I’ve ever had probably won’t stay there again.

Rooms were too small carpet was really dirty. Mattresses had stains on them and they didn’t have enough towels. Keys kept on the deactivating.

Low cost hotel room but was upgraded with a new bathroom. A small size room with one queen size bed. Very comfortable beds. Not a great view of the ocean. But close enough to beaches that you drive to. Next door to the outlet mall for shopping. Beautiful areas and loved driving the coastal highways.

The thing we love about this property is the hot tub, it’s nearly a hot pool. When the have the water coming down off the volcanos it’s wonderful. The pool is heated as well and is family friendly.

Do not stay here. Walls are paper thin. Sounded like our noisy neighbours were in the room with us. We got no sleep. Ended up having to call the office at 12am and ask them to deal with the noisy people hanging around outside our room. Booked with free breakfast but was told theres no breakfast when we checked in. Then was charged an additional $12 after we had checked out. When i called to ask why, they said it was the service fee that 'should have been charged at check in'. Unacceptable to charge an additional fee without mentioning it at any time.

My family and I stayed 3 nights here. The staff here is very friendly and kind. Especially the lady at the office. The rooms are clean. Rooms have a fridge, tv, and microwave. They are located in a safe area. Close to the pismo outlets. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the the grove at pismo beach! Will definetly be coming back!

BLOOD ON PILLOW NO HOT WATER
We have stayed here same time last year we loved the pool it was heated and everything but this time it was getting remodeled, ok that’s fine but when we got to the room we THOUGHT everything was fine at first until it was time to shower the water was FREEZING cold, I had layed down was fixing the pillows THERE WAS BLOOD ON THE PILLOWS so that was the last straw. I went to the front desk told him about the shower he said “it’s an old building you have to just run the sink” and for the blood on the pillow he literally just took the pillow and wrote a note . He was RUDE ! I’ve honestly never complained about any hotel but this one was just wow … very disappointing.

I like staying here because the staff is nice, the rooms are basic for the affordable price, but the construction sometimes is quite the inconvenience. Knowing it advance the pools aren’t available would be nice to know. Rooms look updates but the craftsmanship is a bit messy. Our towel hanger fell off when I went to dry my hands. Like how? Anyways. Since they can’t offer breakfast right now their morning breakfast bags are decent. Overall a 3/5. It’s the price for the location and amenities.

Very nice hotel for the price! It’s right next to the outlets. About a 20 minute walk to the pier. Lots of food options within walking distance. I felt safe and it was very quiet. The bed was comfy and the room had a mini fridge and microwave. Close to everything!!!!

I was told that the jacuzzi waterfall turns on at 1-2pm I was in there from 2-330pm and still was not on, even when I went back to the pool at 530pm. Remote was broken apart and tv did not work. Guests for 3 nights. No house keeping services done. Had to get own towels. Bathroom door did not close properly. Large rack on left wall hazard. Sticks out . Soap dispenser on right of sink. Had to reach over for it. BUGS!!! On bathroom floor. Scatter with light on. Seems like remodeling rushed for reservations. Had areas in room not painted. To be honest, remodeling should have been done during off-season. Got notice about renovations after making reservations. By the way, it was Cockroaches in bathroom!! Should have done check over before opening. Lobby closed. When I told front desk of issues with cleaning, no sorry for problem and just gave towels to me. No go for future visits.

Bed was great, shower head tall although hot water lasted less than five minutes at 4:30 in the afternoon. Lady who checked me in was pleasant and efficient. TV signal was very poor. I did not notify office as I just wanted to shower and rest after 11 hours on motorcycle. This place is good for the price.

It’s nice hotel. We had a great time at the swimming pool and jacuzzi.
