If you need a clean affordable place to stay, this is it. Walking to beach area, dining and feels safe. There is no fancy stuff here. A/C was a bit noisy but we lived with it. 1 and a half rolls of toilet paper was barely enough for a one night stay, bathrooms were clean. I'll be back for a quick stay.

As a solo traveler, I enjoyed the weekend stay at Ocean Palms Motel! The room had AC and everything I needed to be comfortable. Chill surfer vibe room and very clean! Close to everything and a beautiful place to walk around and explore. Will definitely stay there again! Office attendant Laura was so kind, friendly, professional, and welcoming!!! Unfortunately me and my family stumbled across the ocean palms hotel in hopes that we could enjoy our night in. The hardest part was the check in situation. This is the first of many stays in the 805 where an early check in just was not going to happen. The women at the front desk seemed bothered about me having my support animal and asking me questions about what type of support animal he is and tried to charge me a fee when it says specifically states that the hotel don’t charge for a pet fee. The room looked like it hadn’t been wiped down with huge footprints on the door and wall. The refrigerator and microwave was also dirty. The shower had hair in it and was out of soap completely. The ice maker was also out of service and no accommodations were provided. You are unable to call the front desk because the women doesn’t answer. This hotel ruined our trip.

The plastic end tables are really small and a little too far from the bed so that could use improvement. I love the covered area across the parking lot with several comfortable chairs and tables and heated pit.

This motel is situated immediately off the freeway but is surprisingly quiet. There is a cute little outdoor seating area, grassy area for the pups and ample parking. There is no elevator on the premise so be prepared to carry your luggage up the 1 flight. We had a small window view of the ocean from our bathroom but otherwise our view was the parking lot. The room was clean and spacious and again, quiet. The walk to the main strip of town was short but drivable if you prefer. It took maybe 10 minutes max with traffic signals. The weather permitted our outdoor activities but if thats not the case, everything is a short drive away.
