The hotel is located one short block up from the waterfront. It is in an excellent location. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious and had a nice little table and 2 chairs so you could easily have a bite to eat there or sit and use your laptop comfortably. The hotel appeared to be clean, but when I went to take a shower, there was a wad of hair in the tub along with someone's razor cover, so I don't think the cleaning staff is actually sanitizing the tub/shower in between guests. The property is well kept just a little dated looking. Overall, I would give the hotel 3 stars. If it hadn't been for the residue in the shower, I would have given it 4 stars. Hopefully this was just an oversight!

This place is super nice and close to Morrow Rock, the marina, restaurants and shopping. The rooms have been totally renovated and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The couple running this place are so nice too!

I gave this a 4 store review because the staff was very friendly and the parking lot seems pretty safe. I had my tool in the back of my truck and no one messed with them there. The room was clean but definitely dated. Bed was extremely comfortable and I enjoyed having a fridge and microwave since I was up there for work i could keep groceries available to eat. The bathroom was my biggest issue. I had no exhaust fan so after it steamed up for the shower the room became humid the rest of my trip. I would shower in the morning after work and when I would wake up in the evening there was water still on the walls from the steam from 8 hours earlier. I couldn’t open my window because the screen was missing and there was a tree pretty much touching so I didn’t want bug or creators coming in. It definitely needs a face lift but it served its purpose and I would stay there again for another work trip.

Stayed before and enjoyed my stay. Mostly quiet and close to the Embarcadero. I was in what seems like a more recently renovated room which was nice. No maid service here on the regular though, if you want or need more towels and things you're going to have to go ask for them. They close lobby at 10pm so if other guests are loud or you have any issues with your room it will be hard getting assistance. After I checked out this time I got a call asking for their floor mat back. I never had one in my room and I thought that was strange. All in all for the price during the week it's still a decent place to be. During the weekend though with the peak pricing & what is offered I think you would get better value elsewhere.

1st they didn’t find my reservation and gave me the last room and it was not good. The rest room and shower were on a step up it was hard to balance when wiping and done with your necessity. The shower was hard to balance in and out of shower especially my husband because he’s 6.4 you can imagine that because we have a bottom room. Then I couldn’t put my make up because the lighting on the sink was not working and all rusted, it was dark to take a shower. Thank God I only stay one night but it was bad so all I say if your renting and asking for all that amount then check and fix your rooms people.

It was a nice spacious suite. Not a whole lot of amenities but beds were super comfortable! Shower had decent pressure considering Morro Bay. The fridge was spacious for our needs. I have stayed at Rockview Inn before and had excellent experiences, so I did not expect such a distressing stay. I was traveling with my husband and our 2 service dogs, and from the moment I checked in, I was subjected to discriminatory treatment.
When I disclosed I had service animals, the receptionist immediately demanded to see “certification papers” and “tags on their collars.” I explained that:
It is illegal under the ADA (28 C.F.R. § 35.136 & § 36.302) to require documentation, certification, or special tags/registries as no such registry exists.
Service animals are not pets, and charging pet fees is prohibited.
Despite this, the receptionist charged me pet fees and only voided after I showed her the ADA guidance on my phone. The next morning, she had again charged me, claiming she believed only 1 of my dogs was a service animal. She reluctantly voided that charge as well, but not before subjecting me to further questioning and harassment.
Finally, she handed me an “ADA Service Animal Verification Form” and said they would “verify with ADA.” The ADA does not have or maintain any registry, nor do hotels have authority to “check” animals against some list.
As a disabled guest, this was humiliating, discriminatory, and in direct violation of my rights.
This experience was not only upsetting but unlawful.I hope management trains staff properly, and ensures other disabled guests are not subjected to this harassment.

The only downside for us was the mattress was too high for us to sit on, so we had to manage to get on/off a certain way. And sitting on bed was not an option for me. A comfy chair would have been nice to watch tv. The mattress was a little soft so our backs hurt until we figured out how to sleep a certain way. Probably just fine for. Others. Everything appeared to be newly remodeled which was lovely to use! I was a little sad that the TV signal was not working so I couldn’t use it during my stay and that eventually I ran out of the complimentary body wash they provide, but still rate my experience a 5/5. Staff is friendly and the location is in great proximity to the pier! I came here for a CIF high school sports event as a youth and always wanted to visit again as an adult and was pleased to find this place at this price point. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a place to stay in the area and see myself rebooking again in the future.
