Deadbolt didn’t work on the door.

The motel was full, and the hot water took a while to come on -- but the water did get hot enough to shower.
Jeremy
We loved the fact that our room definitely had a very clear view of the rock in morro bay. The room was very clean . The whole property was very clean. Short walk / drive to all the shops, piers, and beach . The staff was very helpful . It was very nice experience would definitely recommend and will definitely be visiting again.

We’ve been staying here for years and years and it’s always great. We are always able to bring our pups (with a pet fee) which is a huge plus for us. Rooms are clean and Shelly and Nick are wonderful. I also like the location as it’s close to Main Street and the Embarcadero. We will be back!
Michael
Clean room, great location and parking. Would stay here again!
Leo
Be prepared to hear every single step of the person above you if you’re dealt a room under someone.
Mai
Amenities were basic and felt like overpriced.

I booked Rockview Inn last minute for myself and my two daughters, and the couple running it made us feel genuinely welcome. They were warm, friendly, and sincere—the kind of hospitality that makes a simple stay feel personal.
This is a good basic motel: clean, functional, and comfortable, but not luxury. The location is excellent, just a two-minute walk to the waterfront. I’d happily stay here again.

Great location when visiting Morro Bay. From the street you can get a pretty good view of Morro rock, and it’s walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Our room didn’t have a view but the room was clean and it looked like the management has updated the interior. It’s a nice room but only issue was there was a crack on the bathroom window that was there before we got there. The management was already aware of it.
george
Steps from the morro rock. Easy parking. Staff is just ok. The coffee maker had not been cleared of the last coffee bag. I used the microwave to make coffee then. The place has a nice feel, clean and well maintained.

Julian
Great and fast service, friendly and welcoming. Also love that the hotel and area are pet friendly. Great stay for anyone looking for a weekend or just a night.
Michelle
Very clean, great view and close to the water front.
Eduardo
The hotel was close to everything, we walked to main street and then hit all the stores along Embarcadero street. Very manageable. Loved how convenient it was to buy stuff at the stores then go and leave it back at the room, then go out for food after relaxing for a bit. The parking can get a but hectic so it was much easier to move around on foot.
Refugio
Great view
Carlos
Good quality accommodation for the Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, and San Luis Obispo area. Close to everything via the 101. Walking distance to shops and Morro Rock. Nice having a coffee maker, fridge, and microwave.

The clock doesn't work. Upstairs foots steps were noticeable, noises.

Everything is great. The only issue but would not deter me returning is the entrance. I stepped out to pick up a couple things but people were checking out and parked their cars in the front and blocked people from entering and/or leaving. Front desk should tell them to move their car or go back to a space and walk over.
michael
Nice clean parking lil tight
Jessica
I have stayed here for the past three trips to morro bay. The owners are so kind and helpful. The rooms are perfect. Located so close to the Embarcadero. The view is nice. Parking good. Def will continue to stay here each time I return to morro bay.
Dan
The rooms were clean, the location was great, the overall was vintage but well maintained, only thing to consider is the parking is narrow so long vehicles have a harder time maneuvering through the driveway. Great place I look forward to staying again in the future.

Quick check in and the stay was great, spacious room. Location was very close to shore, walking distance from restaurants.
Michael
We liked our stay here, the location was conveniently a short walk to the beach and shops. The check-in was quick and the room was nice and clean.
Martin
I enjoyed The room was clean.

For the price I paid I was blown away. Went on a deep sea fishing trip. Got in around 5pm checked in. Room upstairs kinda of sad. Went to room lots of space very clean large tv great line up. Bed was nice and firm. Loading ice chest with ice for am trip. I was leaving early they told me just leave the keys in the room. I returned later in the day on check out day they allow me back in the room to use restroom and to top off my ice chest before heading home. Super nice great rates and owners. Will be back
Ed
Staff when checking in was very helpful and polite. Didn’t see any staff in the two days I was there. But they were there because my room was spotless. Parking was very close and accessible to the room. WiFi was easy access and easy to connect. Only negative thing was I could hear the neighbors tv at night and muffled talking. Needs some insulation between walls maybe. I would stay again for sure. Also, was very accessible to walking to shops downtown and walking around the Embarcadero. Enjoyed the stay very much that I bragged about the room to a couple of friends.
Linda

Although the inn is older, it remains a charming and budget-friendly sanctuary. The rooms are surprisingly spacious and meticulously kept, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. Best of all, you’re perfectly positioned to embrace the coastal lifestyle, with the beach, local boutiques, and vibrant restaurants all just a short, convenient stroll away
Robert
Always a quiet place to stay with an incredible view in the morning.
Francisco
Room was clean, motel was in a great location, a couple blocks away from Embarcadero and from the bars ,siren and Legends
Isabel
The room’s excellent I would change to a pod instead of packaged coffee. My only concern GOOD COFFEE! Is a must.so inviting and quiet area. Got a good nights rest. Thank you
Steven
Clean grounds and helpful front desk keep me coming back. I stay here at least twice a year because of the value being offered.
Linda
Pet friendly yes- but need a grassy area to take dog for potty. Room clean and well appointed. Staff friendly and helpful. Love the ceiling fan! TV too complicated for a short stay- directions would be nice. Very happy with my stay. Would return.
Lori
Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were ok. Good size. Bed was comfortable. It was great to have a fridge and microwave in the room. Parking was cramped with a truck. Towels were a lil dingy and not the best but doable.

Excellent stay! Very quiet and comfortable room. No bedbugs!! Nice views of Morro Rock and the Stacks from the hotel.
Linda
Not enough seating-just one uncomfortable plastic chair. No Kleenex tissue.In-room coffee was tasteless. Towels were very good.
Martha
Staff were great and parking was good. The room was clean but the only thing that the room need is one chargers for iPhone and iPads. Other than that we were satisfied.
Joan
The hotel is located one short block up from the waterfront. It is in an excellent location. The bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious and had a nice little table and 2 chairs so you could easily have a bite to eat there or sit and use your laptop comfortably. The hotel appeared to be clean, but when I went to take a shower, there was a wad of hair in the tub along with someone's razor cover, so I don't think the cleaning staff is actually sanitizing the tub/shower in between guests. The property is well kept just a little dated looking. Overall, I would give the hotel 3 stars. If it hadn't been for the residue in the shower, I would have given it 4 stars. Hopefully this was just an oversight!
Rocio
It could benefit from a comfortable matress and various upgrades.
Laura
Easy parking. Pet friendly. Totally dated room for the cost.
Jacob
Nice

This place is super nice and close to Morrow Rock, the marina, restaurants and shopping. The rooms have been totally renovated and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. The couple running this place are so nice too!

Great stay. Comfortable bed

A very short walk to the ocean and a freshly remodeled or built place where everything is just clean and well-made. We were pleasantly surprised. This wasn't different from Hilton chains. Highly recommend.
Isaac

I gave this a 4 store review because the staff was very friendly and the parking lot seems pretty safe. I had my tool in the back of my truck and no one messed with them there. The room was clean but definitely dated. Bed was extremely comfortable and I enjoyed having a fridge and microwave since I was up there for work i could keep groceries available to eat. The bathroom was my biggest issue. I had no exhaust fan so after it steamed up for the shower the room became humid the rest of my trip. I would shower in the morning after work and when I would wake up in the evening there was water still on the walls from the steam from 8 hours earlier. I couldn’t open my window because the screen was missing and there was a tree pretty much touching so I didn’t want bug or creators coming in. It definitely needs a face lift but it served its purpose and I would stay there again for another work trip.
Basman
staff was nice. But the smell of CURRY in the lobby and in the rooms was unfortunate. My room was on the 2nd floor and it also smelled like strong curry/BO. I really didn't want to write a bad review but you cannot run a hotel like this.
I booked for 3 nights but checked out within 30 minutes after checking in; it was that BAD!
I was also charged for the night although I cancelled within 30 minutes of arriving.

Quiet cozy place to stay within walking distance to Embarcadero.
Sarah
Nice clean room. Quiet safe place. Close to the Embarcadero
Steven
A great value, for a clean room with all the amenities I need. Always stay here when I'm in town. Friendly staff.
Elissa
Stayed before and enjoyed my stay. Mostly quiet and close to the Embarcadero. I was in what seems like a more recently renovated room which was nice. No maid service here on the regular though, if you want or need more towels and things you're going to have to go ask for them. They close lobby at 10pm so if other guests are loud or you have any issues with your room it will be hard getting assistance. After I checked out this time I got a call asking for their floor mat back. I never had one in my room and I thought that was strange. All in all for the price during the week it's still a decent place to be. During the weekend though with the peak pricing & what is offered I think you would get better value elsewhere.
jennifer
Convenient location

The room was very clean. One of the lights did not work and the tv remote was not the right one for the tv. other than that, it was beautiful and very clean.
Inga
This was our second time at Rockview Inn. It is a solid quality establishment, has everything that we need when traveling with our dog. It is not luxurious by any means but you certainly get your price's worth of amenities. The owner/ manager is very personable and friendly.
Jesse
Everything was good. Only thing i can say is the bathroom shower needs exhaust fan. And blow dryer only turned off when unplugged, think the on and off switch wasnt working. But not a bad stay
Jessica
Always a pleasure. I stay there often. It’s my favorite choice.

1st they didn’t find my reservation and gave me the last room and it was not good. The rest room and shower were on a step up it was hard to balance when wiping and done with your necessity. The shower was hard to balance in and out of shower especially my husband because he’s 6.4 you can imagine that because we have a bottom room. Then I couldn’t put my make up because the lighting on the sink was not working and all rusted, it was dark to take a shower. Thank God I only stay one night but it was bad so all I say if your renting and asking for all that amount then check and fix your rooms people.
Kevin
Perfect location, friendly and convenient 👍
Daniel
Clean, great view, and economic.
Sandra
Clean room, loved our pet friendly room with a view facing the Morro rock. Everything in walking distance. Quick and easy check in.
Michael
The property was welcoming to pets. Very clean and well maintained, and within walking distance to dining and shops.
Shana
Traveled with a few others and a dog. Room we had was very outdated and some holes in the restroom ceiling. The first room we were placed in was nice and had been updated, the reason why we switched rooms was the restroom door was smaller than the door frame so the door would not close. Other than that, it was ok.
Lynn
Very clean, close to Morro Rock and great restaurants nearby
Malisa
The room looked clean but had a musty smell, staff was kind, plenty of parking.
Lorie
The stay was nice, clean room.

We chose Rockview for this last-minute trip because it was pet-friendly— we were pleasantly surprised with our stay! The room appeared
to be freshly remodeled-freshly painted, nice flooring, lovely white window shutters, plenty of space for 2 adults and a big dog, the shower is large & the modern tile/grout sparkled. Everything in the room was very clean and spotless. Beds were super Comfortable. No fancy frills here (which was fine with us) but we had everything we needed for safety, comfort and cleanliness! The refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, and TV worked efficiently, including the WiFi/Internet. It was quiet and no noise from adjacent rooms. Close to the Embarcadero and Carla’s restaurant, which is always a favorite! We will definitely come back here. Thank you Rockview!
