The facility was extremely clean and fresh. Parking was ample, and the hotel is a short walk from the shops and restaurants aligning the ocean.
Barri
A fantastic stay the staff were great very clean room great location well worth it
Bill
The bed was comfortable. Other than that, there was no hot water during my 3 days. I left night before checkout because I didn’t want a cold shower one more day.
I signed up for a king view balcony. No balcony. Room was in need of serious upkeep. Towel rack coming off the walls, holes where some repairs were attempted. Pictures online don’t tell the story. Too bad.

Totally serviceable and very affordable little hotel walking distance to the little Main Street of Morro Bay, the harbor, and the incomparable Morro Rock (about a mile and half to get all the way around to the sunset side of the rock, but totally worth it, and a great walk around morro bay with all the cute sea otters smiling at you!)
Maricela
Felt so comfortable life to come back
Scott
We loved that the place was dog, friendly and within walking distance of all the Morro Bay attractions
Simon
The room was clean and spacious. Everything was great about it, except that one of the showers did not have hot water
Jessica
Cute, clean and nice decor! Great location for Morro Bay walking (and otter viewing)! We stayed with our dog and had an easy time.
Carolyn
Parking was easy and plenty of space. Room very large and quiet. Only complaint was checking in there was no one at front desk just a sign indicating staff was out assisting other guests but it took 15 minutes for someone to show up before I could register. Two other families also showed up to register while we waited.
Richard
Came in Late (past midnight); they were prepared for my late arrival. Clean and very safe for families and pets.
David
The hotel is in a great location, just a couple of blocks from the businesses and restaurants on the Embarcadero, close by the bay, and also close to Main Street. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms and the hotel itself are immaculately clean, and they are very pet-friendly. For people wanting extras such as a pool or gym, this is not the place. It is simply quiet, comfortable, pristine, and in a great location. The prices are not bad, either, compared to other area hotels.
Amanda
We only stayed one night, but this little inn was magic. The little details were just perfect...great soaps and the whole place smelled lovely. The music in the lobby was calming. Everything was super clean. Parking was A+. You could see Moreo Rock from your balcony. Everything was within a 5 minute walk. I stepped out this morning to grab something to drink and within a 4 minute walk, I found a local coffee shop that was quirky and delicious. This whole town is a sleepy paradise, and we are so thankful we chose La Serena Inn to experience it.

We had a room reserved ahead of time promised by a gentleman at the front desk on the third floor several days ahead of time. The rude male staffer at the front desk upon our prompt 3:00 pm arrival said, \"Umm...yeah. I just gave that room away. Yeahh, there are no staff notes about that.\" He didn't even look for a single staff note. Zero effort. Our unfortunate room smelled like mold and we froze under a sheet-like thin \"blanket.\" We turned the heater on and it was as loud as a generator. Through the walls you can hear the neighbors urinate, talk, bathe, flush the toilet, cough and sneeze. You can also hear every other room's generator-like heater/AC unit. Our window was utterly filthy. A big, fat zero. 3 hours of sleep for us in this loud flop house.
Chris
Location is ideal and close to everything you want to do. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Covered parking was a major plus.
Brad
Very nice l, quiet and friendly staff!
Ester
We had a comfortable & restful stay @ La Serena. Room was very clean, comfortable bed, cute decors in the room & waiting areas, walking distance to Morro rock. I’ll definitely recommend La Serena to friends and family.
Ezekiel
Everything was great. Smooth check in. Smooth check out. Easy parking. Convenience to all the shops and restaurants is top tier, one of the only hotels in the area where the doors to your room are inside so it doesn’t feel like the motels around it. I will be back in two weeks. Thank you.
Side note -only thing that was a little annoying was the person above me stomping around from 730pm-10pm (was not the hotels fault at all, still 5 stars! )

Kobe in front desk was really helpful and any local recommendation he gave us, we loved it. Thank you so much for pleasant stay.
We arrived late and the front lobby was closed, but they left us detail instruction on getting our room keys. The room was big and clean. We even had a little corner view of Morrow Bay. Only couple blocks to Embarcadero.
They have a complementary Tesla charger in their garage, which we appreciated a lot.
We love Morro Bay and we definitely go back to this La Serena Inn.

I tend to use chain hotels when traveling because it used to be that you knew what you were going to get and non-chains were pretty hit and miss. La Serena was an amazing property, especially for the price. Everything was clean, in good working order, and in amazing shape. There were 4 of us and the double queen room was more than enough space for us. Plan on returning to Morro Bay for more than one night and we will definitely be staying at La Serena!
Erik
Really clean, and great views are available. Walking distance to everything.
Kaitlyn
Would definitely stay again! Perfect location, great views from the room and excellent staff!
David
Very clean room as was the rest of the hotel. When we arrive around 5:30pm the wasn't anyone at the front desk. We waited around for around 15 minutes or so since nobody showed up we went into town for a while, The front desk clerk was there when we got back and was very pleasant and helpful. My only real complaint was that the WIFI was very slow. I ended up using my phone 's WIFI as the hotel one was too slow to watch You Tube videos on my tablet. Other than that would definitely stay there again when in the area
Laurie
The room was bright and clean
I come to morro bay twice a year and this my new go to place

Great location. Very close to restaurants, close to the pier and Morro Rock. Ample parking for guests.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a relaxing place to stay. The location was convenient, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. I truly appreciated the great service and attention to detail. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Thank you for making my experience a great one!
Robert
Room wasn’t ready had to check in an hour and half late
Brad
Excellent service! Quite and nice rooms
Sylvia
Friendly, efficient check-in. Room was bright and clean. Traveling with a dog, I appreciate a solid flooring instead of carpeting. A very good experience.
Sheri
The lobby was clean. Our room air conditioning didn't work. The floor in the room was filthy dirty. Restroom was dirty hair everywhere. Shower had hair in it and dirty. Tags from clothing on the floor. Overall it was filthy. We wanted to talk to staff when we checked out waited at the counter for more than 5 mins and no one was there. We had an event we had to be at and didn't have time to wait any longer.
Leslie
Everything was nice and really convenient. We would recommend a stay there anytime . And we would love to go back.
Veronica
Room was not ready on time to check in.
Donna
Short walk to an overlook, close to the bay, great restaurant very close by.
Danielle
We love La Serena Inn. Easy walk to the bay! You can see Morro rock from your hotel room. Staff very friendly. We can’t wait to come back for a visit!
Lourdes
Loved the hotel. Well use it again. The perfect location to go to Big Sur, Carmel and Monterey. About 20 minutes away from these locations.

Location is great, walking to shops and the waterfront.
Hotel is clean and comfortable.
There’s a Tesla destination charger which is great.
There was a car that hugged the charger for a day and staff couldn’t find out whose it was. I wish hotel had a sign for unplugging the car once the charging is done. Or apply a 4 hour limit.

Excellent stay! Besides the pitter -patter of the kiddos above us, it was a wonderful stay! Room was spacious, clean, and comfy. Close walk to everything - we loved it. Definitely recommend!

Elevator to upper levels; communal sitting area with available computer and printer. Inside carpeted corridors, and free covered parking. Two blocks from the restaurants and stores at the harbor. Very well maintained for an older property.

Great location, clean rooms, laundry room and front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Rachel was a rockstar. Stayed for 6 nights for our son’s graduation and we would definitely go back.

This hotel is great
Anna
Our first time staying at this hotel , great location . Very clean and pet friendly . We will definitely return .
Karen
This was such a great little hotel. If I get to return to Morro, I will 100% stay here again!! Cute and clean. Staff was very helpful with our very late arrival. Only a couple block walk to The Rock and we had a nice view of it from our room. I think it was Room 310 (I'm writing this about 3 months after our stay). Easy to find and easy access back to the highway for your adventures elsewhere. We stayed here when we visited Hearst Castle.
JESSICA
Rooms were a good size and comfortable beds. Didn’t like that the lobby closes and that there really isn’t anyone to help you after 9pm.
Stuart
Great location, used provided discount card at coffee shop near by.
Room was nice and staff very helpful.

Theres 2 things I can complain about: 1. The mattress needed to be replaced We had a rough time sleeping due to the old mattress with no padding we could feel the coils the other was the smell there was an odor from the moment you got off the elevator
Jacqueline
Clean & quiet. Very pleasant customer service.
It's our favorite place to stay in Morro Bay. Perfect location!

2 night stay. room was clean and neat, staff was very friendly, nice parking garage , they also had a inside elevator but the view wasn't too good.
Jose
Great place to stay. I will comeback again
Kathy
Room was clean, nicely done, view of rock from small balcony. Enjoyed our stay with amble off street parking.
The pictures are not accurate. The one with the fire place and sit on balcony and price is not right. The room without fireplace is only pictured correctly. Management has tried to correct it, sent correct information and never changed on the site.

Amazing space! Definitely recommend to stay her in Morro Bay!

This is a great little place, nothing fancy but clean, nicely decorated and walking distance to shops & restaurants. The very best thing however was the staff! Everyone we encountered had such a great attitude, they were friendly kind and helpful!
Mia
We have stayed in many many of the hotels in Morro Bay. This property is visually nice, clean, airy, is decorated appropriately for a beach town but the reason I recommend it is because its staff is excellent. Welcoming, efficent, understanding, etc
Jesus
The place was clean, and the parking was good. The bed was a little too firm for my liking, but overall it was a good place to stay.I’m
Sarah
We liked that the hotel was close to the shops and dining establishments. Beware of where you park. If not under the covered parking you may get a surprise in the morning.
Adam
Great place to stay for a stop off if driving the Pacific Highway 1
Mikhail
Clean room, convenient parking, good walkable location.
Cynthia
Very nice place to stay at. Everything is walkable distance. Clean and spacious.

We arrived after 9 so we had to wait for the night manager to come check us in but it was fast. The bed was very comfy.
AURANGZEB
Great location and clean rooms.
Kimberly
Staff was great. Room could use a couple touch ups and cleaning on patio.
Fire place freaked us out a bit because there was no shut off button. Just one to turn it on but the fire wouldn't go out completely.
Location is great too.

Best hotel on our trip. Better than expected. Spacious room that was laid out well. Comfortable bed with nice bedding and fluffy towels.
Dylan
Big rooms and very clean 👌
Alexander
Nice room and view of the rock.
Mike
Lady at check in could have a little more enthusiasm when greeting guests and helping them at check in.
Donna
We really enjoyed our stay at La Serena Inn. The staff was very friendly. The property is charming. The room was comfortable, clean, and attractive. Be aware that the showers are tiny, and the shower gel/shampoo/conditioner is awkwardly placed and difficult to pump into your hand because of the shape of the spout and the placement, but that is certainly not a deal breaker. There was a tub, but since the soap and hair products are fixed on the shower wall didn't use the tub, even though I would have liked to. There's no gym, no pool, no food, but that's not what we were there for anyway. There are plenty of food options within walking distance. Also, there's not enough parking. We had to park in the street. But none of that deterred our enjoyment. We had a great sleep. The room even had a fireplace and a lovely balcony. We will definitely want to stay there again if we visit Morro Bay in the future. We do recommend it.
JADE R
Great location. Clean room and the entire place. Comfortable beds and big room. Helpful and welcoming staff. Would love to come back. Very good place to stay !
Laura
i stayed here last year and loved it, but this year it was run down, and they didnt have free breakfast anymore even though when i booked it said \"free breakfast\"
Gabriel
Hotel was great, parking was not enforced for Hotel guests only. There was a Bar across the street the bar patrons parked in the hotel guests only parking so there was no where to park
Ingrid
Clean nice room. Quiet. Parking was not that plentiful when we came back after dinner it was full. But nice motel overall clean and safe walkable too
Sandra
The staff was very nice a helpful. The room was clean and parking was easy to get in and out. It would have been nice if the offered at least a coffee bar even though they have a coffee pot in the room I personally drink more than one cup in the morning.
Robert
Parking was easy. Didn’t have a good view of the ocean. Other buildings in front of the room
Debra
We had a view of the harbor.

James
Parking is scarce, but otherwise very good.
David
Fireplace could not be turned up. It was barely a visible flame
Elisa
No ocean view but I love that the doors to the room were in an indoor hallway and not outdoors. This was a great place to stay!!
Gabriela
Clean room and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and have a coffee maker, microwave and small fridge. Our room also had a balcony. Great location. Laundry room was not in service during our short stay. Some areas in the building look like they’re under construction. But did not affect us at all. Over all we enjoyed our stay there and would recommend.
Celeste
Super cute room. CLEAN. Comfy beds. A few minutes away from the beach.
Brooke
We arrived late (after 9pm) so had to call the night manager to come and give us our room keys. She answered and arrived promptly. To be fair, I missed the small print that said to call ahead if you would be arrive after 9pm. So just be aware to make arrangements if you'll be arriving after 9pm. Parking was secure but a bit difficult for larger vehicles or late night arrivals as it was limited and in tight spaces. The rooms were of decent size and the beds were comfortable enough. Conveniently located with an easy walk around town.
Fernando
Room was super clean and well maintained, staff were extremely friendly.
Brian
Good value, plenty of parking, spacious common areas, good view of the Rock.
Nice touch was to have a shower mat for the bath/shower

Covered parking was great. I felt safe, the people were super friendly, room was very clean, carpet was clean. My room had a small balcony and it was nice to sit in my room with the door open on the balcony. We could hear sea lions out in the ocean. I highly recommend this hotel.
Juan
Great experience
Michael
Close to shops
Kathy
Lovely, clean room in good location!
Maria
Easy to find a couple of blocks off the beach. From our slider we had a view of the city and the bay. From our balcony (room for a small table and 2 chairs). We had a view of Morro walk. It was quiet, very clean. Everyone was very nice, the clerk at the desk was very helpful and provided me with a plastic knife(cheese). I found the bed comfortable. It’s not Westin bed but you’re not paying the Westin price. I had multiple pillows one soft and one firm(perfect). This place is a great value and a nice place to stay. I love that they have two decks with tables and a view. I will most definitely stay here again.
Monica
Room was so clean and we had the ocean view side. The parking was perfect for us since we have a child with disability. And elevator was good for my daughter's wheelchair
Karen
Parking was full and the stalls are very tight. We parked on the street but fortunately Wendy let us park in her employee spot. Thank you, Wendy.
Cynthia
Nice staff, clean room, great for the price.
Roberta
The front desk staff was very friendly and check in was easy. There was ample parking and luggage carts available. We had an ocean view room which gave us a partial view of the water. The hotel was an easy walk to views of Morro Rock and there were lots of restaurants nearby. The room was very quiet and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
HANKYUL
Place was great. Kind staff. Clean room, nice location
Jennifer
Hotel was clean and rooms were big and could walk to the waterfront. 2nd time staying there and would stay again!
Katherine
Close to everything. Clean room. Helpful and friendly staff.
Kate
This is our second stay. The room was clean and well appointed. The window pane needed changing as there was moisture inside (not that important because the view was of a parking lot). Also, the outlet on the wall with the TV (by the table) did not work which made doing the handiwork we always bring hard to do.
