We really enjoyed our stay at La Serena Inn. The staff was very friendly. The property is charming. The room was comfortable, clean, and attractive. Be aware that the showers are tiny, and the shower gel/shampoo/conditioner is awkwardly placed and difficult to pump into your hand because of the shape of the spout and the placement, but that is certainly not a deal breaker. There was a tub, but since the soap and hair products are fixed on the shower wall didn't use the tub, even though I would have liked to. There's no gym, no pool, no food, but that's not what we were there for anyway. There are plenty of food options within walking distance. Also, there's not enough parking. We had to park in the street. But none of that deterred our enjoyment. We had a great sleep. The room even had a fireplace and a lovely balcony. We will definitely want to stay there again if we visit Morro Bay in the future. We do recommend it.

Clean room and friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and have a coffee maker, microwave and small fridge. Our room also had a balcony. Great location. Laundry room was not in service during our short stay. Some areas in the building look like they’re under construction. But did not affect us at all. Over all we enjoyed our stay there and would recommend.

We arrived late (after 9pm) so had to call the night manager to come and give us our room keys. She answered and arrived promptly. To be fair, I missed the small print that said to call ahead if you would be arrive after 9pm. So just be aware to make arrangements if you'll be arriving after 9pm. Parking was secure but a bit difficult for larger vehicles or late night arrivals as it was limited and in tight spaces. The rooms were of decent size and the beds were comfortable enough. Conveniently located with an easy walk around town.

Covered parking was great. I felt safe, the people were super friendly, room was very clean, carpet was clean. My room had a small balcony and it was nice to sit in my room with the door open on the balcony. We could hear sea lions out in the ocean. I highly recommend this hotel.

Easy to find a couple of blocks off the beach. From our slider we had a view of the city and the bay. From our balcony (room for a small table and 2 chairs). We had a view of Morro walk. It was quiet, very clean. Everyone was very nice, the clerk at the desk was very helpful and provided me with a plastic knife(cheese). I found the bed comfortable. It’s not Westin bed but you’re not paying the Westin price. I had multiple pillows one soft and one firm(perfect). This place is a great value and a nice place to stay. I love that they have two decks with tables and a view. I will most definitely stay here again.

The front desk staff was very friendly and check in was easy. There was ample parking and luggage carts available. We had an ocean view room which gave us a partial view of the water. The hotel was an easy walk to views of Morro Rock and there were lots of restaurants nearby. The room was very quiet and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

This is our second stay. The room was clean and well appointed. The window pane needed changing as there was moisture inside (not that important because the view was of a parking lot). Also, the outlet on the wall with the TV (by the table) did not work which made doing the handiwork we always bring hard to do.

We had a great stay at La Serena Inn! It’s location is perfect for walking to nearby shops, restaurants, and the pier. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean - I’d only wish their beds had frames that covered the bottoms so things wouldn’t get lost under. That’s my only critique - otherwise I highly recommend!

Fast and easy check in, but the amount that had to be held for our room was a lot higher than other hotels. Room was super clean and nice & the hotel itself was nice & clean as well. The only bummer was our “ocean view” was that could barely see the corner of the ocean if we stood in the very corner so it was kinda a letdown to pay for that.

I appreciated being within walking distance of the embarcadero. Front desk was very accommodating. Would have liked some add'l amenities like hand cream and herbal tea bags in the room. I booked through expedia and it currently says breakfast is included. Not sure if expedia is to blame or the hotel. Had I known breakfast was not an option, I would have planned accordingly.

Tried calling hotel 3x to confirm a late check in, no answer. Left a message and hours later, I finally got a call. I was literally 20 minutes away, I had better hopes for check in only to be told their elevator was broken and she had to manually close the door. She could barely walk and was clearly annoyed she had to address this issue. Unless this was a ‘bad day’ there needs to be some retraining . Side note: There was no other ADA option for the 3 story building.

Close walk to the liquor store and so much more, restaurants, shopping, The Siren🎶🎶. I frequent then area but never stayed there. We will be back. Great little hotel. Stayed twice already. Rooms are clean, spacious and beds are comfortable. Sounds silly but the fact that we had real coffee cups in our rooms vs. cardboard to go cups was nice as well. Loved the theme and decor and having a balcony was perfect. Location rocks. It’s close to everything. We walked everywhere. Only ok item was breakfast. It was just oatmeal, cereal some apples and small croissant sandwiches. But we were fine with it as a hold-me-over. Definitely recommend and will be back.
