Beautiful property—loved the lush, green surroundings. Very quiet and far enough
from town to be relaxing, but close enough to enjoy Morro Rock—shops, food, etc.
The restaurant on the property is great—delicious food and excellent service. We really enjoyed our stay!!

It's been years since I stayed at this hotel, and I have always thought of it as a nice place, but this stay changed my mind. Many parts of it, including the room we stayed in, are in need of maintenance and updates. The saving graces were a polite and responsive staff, the beautiful setting, easy parking, and the restaurant with incomparable views of the bay.

Our room smelled very musty. The bathroom, floors and bed linens appeared clean, but we started noticing how beat up the whole room was. Unknown substances smeared on walls, unpainted wall patches, corrosion visible on metal surfaces, toilet paper holder hanging crookedly, etc. While we had asked for a pet friendly room, the room looked and smelled like a pack of dogs had a fight in it. When we walked to the hot tub after dark, the pathway lights were not working. I forgot that this hotel doesn't have air conditioning and it was warm in our room, so we were forced to sleep with the patio door open for fresh air. (It's the only \"window\".) Then we got to hear all the noisy neighbors, making it hard to sleep, even though the beds were comfortable. There were not enough outlets available for modern guests (device charging). There was trash visible on the grounds. I was very disappointed with the room, but we were only there for 1 night and we love the location. Nothing about our room said \"Inn\"; everything about it said \" 2 star motel\". Sadly, I don't think I will stay here again.

The property was in a great location. A ton of birds so we woke up to a car covered in poop! Had to get my car washed before heading to our next destination. The food and bar area were great- Tracy was wonderful! The room: very small. No air conditioner but a ceiling fan. Room and grounds need to be updated. Bed comfortable, but the pillows not so much. Bathroom seemed clean though there was mold on the ceiling in the shower and the toilet seat was very old. The ice area was disgusting. Not sure why this great place is not kept up. I wouldn't stay again, but would eat there in a heartbeat!

Not worth what we paid. Hotel is very old, which would be fine if maintained and updated. At first glance, it appears updated but updates are very bad. Cheap bedding, mattresses literally folding the middle. 1 flimsy pillow per person. Bathmat completely fraying on all sides. Sheets too small for bedding. Shower also appeared updated at first glance but mold at top. Musty smell throughout room. Rooms are not cleaned daily unless requested. We requested housekeeping and all they did was drop 2 fresh towels on an unmade bed. We paid over $450/night on a busy weekend and it was maybe a $200/night hotel. We won’t be back.

Nice, quiet stay in a beautiful area. However the property as a whole could use a renovation. Pictures make it look updated, but it’s very rundown. Holes in walls, mismatched repair paint, rotting doors and windows and mold just to name a few.
The lobby and restaurant area was nicely remodeled, but cleanliness was non existent and there was only one staff member working during happy hour. I felt bad for him because he was overwhelmed, but no manager was helping and the wait time was long. We chose against dinner at this location because of this experience. Additionally, although the food was highly rated on Yelp, it was mediocre at best. Based on the ratings and nightly price, any future stays in the area would not be here. I would choose to stay at a comparable hotel in the area.

Reasonably priced and nice! We had room 321, king bed room that had a nice balcony and partial view of the bay. The room was very simple but clean. Room had not been renovated any time recently which is totally good with me but is something people should know if you require a super updated room. The restaurant is a nice plus. It's off the beaten path not right downtown Morro Bay which was nice and quiet. Staff were wonderful, friendly. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but those looked nice. I would definitely recommend this inn for a couple or a few days in Morro Bay, especially for the price, and recommend a balcony room with a view.

The property is in a state park, there are many beautiful sites and walks nearby. When we stayed the rookery next door was full of nesting cormorants. Loved all the bird songs & sounds each morning and enjoyed watching them build nests and bring food to the young hatchlings. All this and you could easily walk into town or it’s a short 5 minute drive. I will definitely stay here again.

My family stayed for one night over Mother’s Day weekend. After checking in, we noticed what appeared to be blood on the wooden blinds/shutters in our room. It was visible in several places, including the handle used to adjust the blinds and on the blinds themselves.

Before dinner, I spoke with the front desk and requested that the issue be cleaned. I showed a photo from the room illustrating the problem. The staff member was cordial, but seemed unsure how to address the situation. I gave permission for staff to access the room while we were away.

Unfortunately, the issue was never resolved during our stay.

Very disappointed, we supposedly got the last two rooms available, so we thought for what we’re seeing on the pictures, hey we got lucky.
Once we got there, we all felt deceived, they were on the 100s number rooms; right where no one can see them, lock of internet, lock of presentation, all patched up, with paint; old features, like if that particular room hasn’t been used for ages, lots of spiderwebs, when showering, water running out the glass making it very unsafe.
I couldn’t work(sending and getting emails) the lock of internet blocked my iPhone’s internet, and when we had 2 bars (luckily) it took a long while to see it or do anything.

Like I told the front desk, it’s not like we’re paying a penny or getting the room for free; for the 3 nights we paid close to $700.00.

We waited for for a solution, but NEVER came, so I would NEVER recommend this place, felt cheated.
Don’t trust the pictures on their website/ or promotional pages.

It’s been a week since we come back and no decency of apologies NOTHING, it tells you a lot of this place.

The lobby area and staff are top notch. The hot tub was BUSY on a sunday night, with many kids and families going in and out. Not super relaxing because of the traffic and kids playing and jumping into the hot tub, but it was reasonably kept. The pool was nice if a bit cool.

My room had several incomplete repairs in progress (wall patches, missing paint and finish, holes in the window screen, and I could go on here), black mold in the bathroom celing area, and the room number was paper taped on the door. There was no in room bath tub, but there was a frig and coffee maker. No microwave, but there is one in the lobby.

The location and views are great. I know I got a good deal on the room price, but it just wasn't nice inside. Glad I was only there for one night. I wont stay there again.

I took one star off since they need to do a little more upkeep with the grounds and the exterior. We could see dirt and debri on the roof from our room patio. Patio floor was dirty and the walkways were dirty with leaves from the trees. Our patio had a light that I could not turn off and it shined through our blinds all night.
