We stayed here for four nights while visiting Morro Bay and overall had a pleasant stay. The room was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was nice to have a quiet place to come back and relax after spending the day exploring the beaches and town. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. The location is another big plus—it’s close to the beach, restaurants, and shops, making it easy to get around.

The hotel does have a few downsides, though. During our stay, the washing machine was out of service, so only the dryer was available. The only vending machine on-site was for drinks, and bottled sodas were $3 each.

I was also disappointed that Expedia listed complimentary breakfast and an on-site hot tub, but neither of those amenities was actually available. Another surprise was that the room photos showed a dresser for storing clothes. It appears the hotel has remodeled and replaced it with a beautiful granite countertop for the refrigerator and microwave, along with a matching granite shelf beneath the TV. The updates look nice and modern, but since we were staying for several nights, we really missed having drawers or somewhere to unpack our clothes.

The property itself doesn’t offer much in the way of views. The small patio out back overlooks the neighboring Motel 6, so if you’re looking for scenic accommodations, this probably isn’t the place. Still, being so close to everything Morro Bay

Very affordable. Staff was very friendly. Room could use a little work. Shelf under tv was falling off wall. Shower faucet didn't close all the way for full pressure to shower head.
It was still very nice overall for the price.

Great quiet location. Such a spacious place for a family of 6. We had my parents and my sister stay with me and my kids and we all had enough room. We stayed in the Master suite which had a bedroom within the room. A king in one room and two queens and a couch in the other. Quick drive to all local areas.
The staff was super helpful with anything we needed. Booked the place again for our next trip already 😃

This is my second time staying here in a year. I love the affordability, location, and room selections. With a family of four it is nice to be able to have a room with two king sized beds and then even a smaller bed as well. Plenty of space for what we needed. Are some things rusted or a bit outdated, sure. However, we are not picky and the staff and location are well worth the value. I will definitely keep staying here in the future.

We booked a suite for our family and were disappointed with our stay. The “suite” turned out to be two standard rooms connected by an interior door rather than what most travelers would consider a true suite.
The property felt neglected. There was dog waste on the grounds, the carpet felt damp and had an unpleasant odor, and there were no trash cans in the room. The beds were uncomfortable, the pillows were hard, and we did not sleep well. The rooms also lacked basic conveniences such as USB charging ports and alarm clocks.
The area around the property did not feel particularly welcoming, and there was a walking trail nearby that brought a lot of foot traffic past the motel. We also noticed the smell of marijuana outside during our stay. Parking is open and not gated, and there is no pool or other notable amenities.
One of the biggest disappointments was that the online photos made the property appear much nicer than it actually is. In our opinion, the motel looked worse in person than it did in the pictures. The rear balconies were also unusable and added no value to the room.
Overall, we were ready to leave as soon as the sun came up and did not feel the stay was worth the price. We would not stay here again. No card drop off box.

The Positives: Important things like friendly staff, general room cleanliness, and a comfortable bed are all great.

The Negatives: Pictures on the listing are misleading (like someone 50 years old using a profile picture from when they were 20). The fire pit was covered and looked unused for a long time. Ambient hanging lights above the fire pit were never on. The fountain is dry with no water. The room has rust on the bathroom door and multiple walls showing poor patchwork and paint. Electrical outlets are loose and crooked in the wall. The TV is poorly mounted and stuck at a 45-degree angle. Everything technically worked, so a D-, not an F, for how well the rooms are maintained.

I was very disappointed with my stay, my wife and I went to morro bay on a quck trip to do our taxes and we could not access our the last minute items to gather up electronically due to the wifi being down and our phones had no reception. We do not know the area too well so this hotel was recommended to us and we were so disappointed. We also left back our fresh litter of puppies at home and had so much trouble getting in touch with our dog sitter. Because of this, this was a very stressful stay. VERY disappointed.

This was the worst stay I’ve ever been at. I have never complained about any hotel. The room was absolutely disgusting. Instead of cleaning the room themselves they gave us the cleaning supplies. The A/C didn’t work. I do NOT recommend. It seems the owner or manager lives on property with his spouse, they did not want to help with any problems. They did not care about how dirty the room was. I left within 25 minutes of being there. I didn’t feel comfortable with my child even touching the furniture it was so bad. The furniture was absolutely disgusting.

I was extremely disappointed in this location. DIRTY!!!! Next to the freeway and schools, but that’s not why I am rating them so low.
Upon arrival to the room smelt so strong of bug spray. We immediately opened the windows and back doors. The back doors to the room did not lock and were completely rusted. The smell was so overwhelming. We did not have another option for a room change because it was the only one available for 5 people. The shower had hair and dirt on the floor and the corners were filled with dirt. There was rice on the counter tops by the sink and the freezer was dirty. The mattress itself had rips in it and the sheets were not on all the way. There was graffiti in the bathroom and dirt on the walls and doors, also door had paint peeling off. It was so hard to stay in the room. I said we had to leave the next day due to an emergency, the emergency being that I couldn’t breathe. They refused to refund me for the extra 2 days we didn’t stay. I had to find another place that would fit my family as we drove so far to come on vacation and didn’t want to have it ruined. I wouldn’t suggest staying at this location. I am not a very picky person.

The property was ok. Room was dated but sufficient. I booked the room with myself, husband and three children. The daybed didn’t have any blankets and the beds only had very then top blankets. When I asked the lady at the front for 3 blankets, she told me no. When I explained one bed only had sheets and I have 3 kids, she told me to turn on the heater. We were MISERABLE. I run hot in my sleep so I can’t sleep in a warm room. My kids run cold at night so they like more blankets. I’ve never been to a hotel that refused such a simple accommodation for their paying guests. Never again will I stay there.
