The Positives: Important things like friendly staff, general room cleanliness, and a comfortable bed are all great.

The Negatives: Pictures on the listing are misleading (like someone 50 years old using a profile picture from when they were 20). The fire pit was covered and looked unused for a long time. Ambient hanging lights above the fire pit were never on. The fountain is dry with no water. The room has rust on the bathroom door and multiple walls showing poor patchwork and paint. Electrical outlets are loose and crooked in the wall. The TV is poorly mounted and stuck at a 45-degree angle. Everything technically worked, so a D-, not an F, for how well the rooms are maintained.

I was very disappointed with my stay, my wife and I went to morro bay on a quck trip to do our taxes and we could not access our the last minute items to gather up electronically due to the wifi being down and our phones had no reception. We do not know the area too well so this hotel was recommended to us and we were so disappointed. We also left back our fresh litter of puppies at home and had so much trouble getting in touch with our dog sitter. Because of this, this was a very stressful stay. VERY disappointed.

I appreciated my one night stay! The room was clean and affordable. Especially with my toddler. The last day my kid ripped a scab off his foot and the staff was very accommodating with a first aid kid. I also liked that it was walking distance from the beach and a play ground.

This was the worst stay I’ve ever been at. I have never complained about any hotel. The room was absolutely disgusting. Instead of cleaning the room themselves they gave us the cleaning supplies. The A/C didn’t work. I do NOT recommend. It seems the owner or manager lives on property with his spouse, they did not want to help with any problems. They did not care about how dirty the room was. I left within 25 minutes of being there. I didn’t feel comfortable with my child even touching the furniture it was so bad. The furniture was absolutely disgusting.

I was extremely disappointed in this location. DIRTY!!!! Next to the freeway and schools, but that’s not why I am rating them so low.
Upon arrival to the room smelt so strong of bug spray. We immediately opened the windows and back doors. The back doors to the room did not lock and were completely rusted. The smell was so overwhelming. We did not have another option for a room change because it was the only one available for 5 people. The shower had hair and dirt on the floor and the corners were filled with dirt. There was rice on the counter tops by the sink and the freezer was dirty. The mattress itself had rips in it and the sheets were not on all the way. There was graffiti in the bathroom and dirt on the walls and doors, also door had paint peeling off. It was so hard to stay in the room. I said we had to leave the next day due to an emergency, the emergency being that I couldn’t breathe. They refused to refund me for the extra 2 days we didn’t stay. I had to find another place that would fit my family as we drove so far to come on vacation and didn’t want to have it ruined. I wouldn’t suggest staying at this location. I am not a very picky person.

Clean room , nice welcoming staff . Loved that there was an onsite laundry room and vending machine for drinks . Nice little area outside for a small family fire . Only thing i would recommend is newer amenities like the shelving where coffee pot is as well as cleaner hair dryer and carpet area needed to be done again in front of doors . Other than that loved the stay and rooms were spacious.

Dated room, but for one night stay it did the trick, comfortable overall, conveniently located off the freeway, pet friendly with reasonable pet fee ($25). Staff was very nice, easy check in/out. Good spot of you’re traveling with pets there’s a park adjacent to the property which we made use of in the morning to sniff and walk and get energy out before we got back on the road. Budget friendly and would stay here again.

The property was ok. Room was dated but sufficient. I booked the room with myself, husband and three children. The daybed didn’t have any blankets and the beds only had very then top blankets. When I asked the lady at the front for 3 blankets, she told me no. When I explained one bed only had sheets and I have 3 kids, she told me to turn on the heater. We were MISERABLE. I run hot in my sleep so I can’t sleep in a warm room. My kids run cold at night so they like more blankets. I’ve never been to a hotel that refused such a simple accommodation for their paying guests. Never again will I stay there.

The room was barely stocked when we arrived late. Less than half a roll of toilet paper. 3 towels for a stay with 5 people. The room said sofa bed. It was a leather couch to fold down flat with big cracks in it- very uncomfortable. Could use a better more cleaning. Could use better window screens. Lots of bug came through the window screens. Handle on sink faucet kept falling off.

Check in wasn’t til 3 , I booked online in advance and talked to the hotel earlier that week in regards to paying with 2 separate cards when I got there Friday. That morning I Received a phone call at 8am regarding my stay that day. They informed me that if I didn’t come in at 11am they would give my rooms away. (Wrestling tournament that weekend, we were driving over there from 3 hours away when they called) because they were fully booked that weekend and wanted to give my rooms out. We got there at 9, no one was at the window and they had the doors locked with a chain. I called the number on the paper for service and as soon as the lady came to the window she rudely stated that if I was the one calling to hang up. The room was okay I wasn’t expecting much as we got the rooms for a steal considering we were right across the street from the high school. There was stains on the ceilings , on the lamp shades that they turned around and the mirror in the room was dirty with toothpaste. If the whole city wasn’t fully booked and 3x the price for the annual tournament weekend I would of complained and went somewhere else

HEADS UP - YOU CANNOT BOOK PAY AT THE PROPERTY....EVEN IF YOU DO. she will charge your card BEFORE YOUR STAY, tell you hotels.com charged it (which they don't and never have) and is rude. Layers of dust around the edges of the carpet and they have the merve to leave an envelope on the TV stand for you to TIP the maintenance staff....stop it. Motel 6 next door is better!

The room and bathroom were clean and the housekeeper was very helpful and friendly. However, I requested a room downstairs, due to a recent injury, and I was told in an email that I would be given a room on the first floor since the hotel doesn’t have an elevator. We checked in around 8pm and all they had for us was a room upstairs. Not happy. The room description included a patio or “balcony”, but the balcony was so tiny you couldn’t even fit one chair on it. We were given a room with a vinyl futon “bed”, but they didn’t provide any bedding for it. When we asked at the front desk, we were told they didn’t have any extra sheets! What kind of a hotel doesn’t have sheets??!! Instead they gave us one very thin, stained blanket, which obviously no one wanted to use. The beds had worn out mattress toppers that were higher in the middle and sagging on the sides, so we were constantly trying to keep ourselves from rolling off the bed. The bathroom light fixture was loose and hanging from the ceiling. And twice we had to go down the stairs to the front desk to reprogram our keys because they wouldn’t open the door. The walls were thin enough to hear the conversation next door, which went on late into the night, so nobody slept well. We will never stay at this hotel again.

Dog friendly should be taken out of the listing cause it was one of the most infuriating places I’ve ever stayed when it came to checking in. And out. I got a lecture about what my dog shouldn’t be doing in the room with terrible attitude and then as soon as we came out with our bags they rushed to inspect the room and we weren’t even full done checking out. We stayed at 5 hotels during our family road trip and no one treated us like that.
