When we checked into our room, it was warm and so humid that everything felt wet and moist.
The sheets had stains on it and walls were dusty.
It also had a musty smell walking in the room as well.
Other than that the water and AC were good.

Absolutely LOVE the mattress they use!!! It cradles You with softness and comfort! The bathroom could use some updating and a better cleaning. The room Hadn’t been dusted, there was a film and I sneezed a lot because of that. I did go to the desk to ask them to clean the tub so we could shower and they sent someone immediately. All in all, the stay was an 8, great value, morning staff was very nice. Breakfast was fresh and hot. Would recommend and would stay again.

The hotel next door had an incredibly friendly late night staff member who despite the same problems I faced, booked me on the spot with my funds.

This is my 2nd review again I was moved into 3 rooms first one was hot and smell like piss 2nd one when taking a shower water not going down the drain water spilling over from the knobs also in the 3rd room I’m fighting termites didn’t eat the breakfast the sausages didn’t look done. There was hair in all the rooms. Whoever cleaning this place are not sanitizing it well. Smell was awful outside need to be well kept building and landscape. I will not be staying here again. Everyone renovation is not the same as someone else . If they hire professional help to keep the place up . It would be a nice place but I’m noticing there is a trend when I see the people that own these places do not book from them because they don’t like to keep their property up most of them

We booked a suite but none on first floor so they gave us a regular king on first floor went in room water all over floor went to front dest and told check in lady she said she don’t see how there was water gave me extra towels for the water. Then the tub would not drain half full of water took pictures showed desk asked for a different room but they were full I informed Expedia they noted that hotel was going to see us but we check out

We reserved a room for one night with a king bed. The bathroom was not clean and the showerhead was so caked with scale that you could hardly adjust it. Water pressure was dismal on the 3rd floor. There was rust in the tub. To make matters worse, the tub wouldn’t drain, so we were standing in our own dirty water. The bed was so-so. Air conditioning unit was very noisy, and despite running the fan constantly, the air always felt musty. Breakfast was also so-so. Front desk was made aware of issues and nothing was done for our stay. Will not stay here again. Did not use pool. Parking was good - plenty of spaces. Hotel is convenient to many restaurants.

The cons were only one thing… the mildew/water damage oder. When I first opened the door of the room the smell hits you and then slowly dissipates. Cannot see water damage anywhere inside the room maybe it’s the hallway carpet?

We arrived in the to the hotel in the evening.I had already prepaid on Travelocity. I had disclosed I was traveling with my dogs. On arrival I was told there was an extra charge of 20 for the pets that I payed right away. I was assigned a room in the third floor. I traveled with my husband and 94 year old mom. The room was specious. The bed covers were stained and looked dirty. The bathroom had a strong odor of human urine. At that point tire as we were there was not much I could do. The breakfast in the morning was good. I don’t think I will stay here again during my frequent travels to Ga. I am retired from the health field and cleanliness is of paramount importance to me. I wish their management will pay attention to this details.

I have stayed here many times mostly because it is reasonable and convenient to Interstate 95. However, the front desk personnel my past few visits have absolutely no personality and actually act like they are burdened being at work. Most importantly depending on the hour of the day THE LOBBY SMELLS LIKE A BAZAAR IN INDIA. If its food smells all I can tell you it smells like very strong body odor. The rooms are large enough, the bed is satisfactory, but the rooms have an overpowering \"cleaning odor\". The place just feels dirty. I am sure the owners work hard and maybe their culture is accepting of these aromas, but I must say I find it quite obnoxious.

tl;dr This is a good hotel with nice, helpful employees. But it's rundown and seriously needs a refresh.

The TV in our room wouldn't work. Exploration revealed the cable connection wasn't screwed into the back of the TV because it was broken. Rather than just bringing in another TV, they moved us, which was fine. In the new room the TV worked but the hvac was extraordinarily loud, to the point where we wanted to turn it off. Adjusting the temp so it wouldn't come on at all did not work. The on-off controls didn't work. So we had to just unplug it.

The front desk employee was very pleasant and made a great first impression.

Unfortunately, the hotel itself did not meet expectations. We travel often and only leave reviews when necessary, and this is one of those times. The bathroom was unacceptable there was visible mold, and the water was clogged, making it even more unsanitary. Wearing flip-flops felt necessary (see photos for details). It is concerning that this hotel is operating under these conditions; it clearly does not meet basic sanitation standards. An inspection is warranted, and based on the current state, it would likely result in violations. We also noticed that other guests were complaining about the same issues.

The bed was clean and comfortable, but that does not make up for the condition of the bathroom. We would not stay here again. The hotel needs major renovations and significantly improved cleaning, especially in the bathrooms and dust-prone areas.

On arrival, the staff was nice, we quickly checked in and went up to our room. The room seemed very clean which we always hold as the most important part of our stay. The breakfast was a pretty typical buffet style with the make your own waffles, sausage and scrambled eggs. It was ok. During our two night stay we had to get the room keys reset twice as they stopped working. We noticed a couple other travelers had similar issues. All in all it was clean, and the air conditioning worked well. It was a bit of a commute to the downtown area but worth the drive with the lower price point of the room.

We all hotels up and down the Florida coast tripled their rates for heavy traffic weekend, this La Quinta’s rates were very reasonable. We were wary that it may be a low budget uncomfortable facility and were so pleasantly surprised with our room and the staff.

Additionally, the initial person who checked me in never made eye contact or wished me a god stay. I didn't even eat breakfast because of my late arrival. The floor had obviously not been vacuumed, but I was tired and everything else looked okay so I didn't complain. When I got in bed and turned the lamp on, there were drops of something all over the lamp shade. Then I saw it all over the head board. Like someone shook a can and opened it on the bed letting it spray everywhere. So I felt pretty dirty trying to sleep. Then, the alarm went off at 5:45am!!! You may have better luck, but I will never stay there again. Plenty of other options in the area.

This site is about 10 mins., driving time from the main areas of St. Augustine. However, it is very convenient and very well-maintained. The breakfast was very good. The only problem is that parking can be a bit of a problem when the hotel is fully occupied. The beds were excellent. There are some good restaurants in the vicinity, such as The Cracker Barrel, Ruby Tuesday, IHOP and so on.

The first room they gave me when I walked through the door I could immediately smell a Musky or moldy kind of smell so I went down to the receptionist and asked for different room which they gave me without a problem. That room was definitely a lot better as far as air quality.

Overall you can tell that this hotel is pretty old especially when you look at the shower and bathtub the shower heads Etc are completely oxidated.

My biggest problem was the cleanliness. I walked on the floors without shoes or socks for a moment and it was disgusting because I immediately could feel either sand or dust or crumbs or whatever it was sticking to my feet. The little desk they have in there head something sticky crusty on there which was also very disgusting. Check out the picture of my socks which I put on after I realized that my feet are getting dirty and that there is dirt stuff on the floor I posted a picture of them and also a picture of the Crusty residue on the desk.

The blanket had some weird little stains on there not sure what it was but I think the place in general could have been a lot cleaner. Sure we can blame all of this to the age of the place but if the cleaning staff would do a better job I wouldn't be giving this kind of review.

Two positive things I have to remark is that the place is surprisingly quiet considering that it is very close to the highway and the other thing I want to remark is that the beds are pretty comfortable.

The hotel in general was very clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly. But the room left lots to be desired. The shower head barely trickled water despite good flow from the spout. There was not one hanger in the closet and there was only a desk chair. The usual easy chair and reading light were missing. Both mattresses had big sags in the middle, obviously worn out. The breakfast spread was ok but there were no condiments (salt,pepper, ketchup) or napkins to be found. LaQuinta is our hotel of choice but this one missed the mark by a mile.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. When my granddaughter got there she said the room smelled, so they gave her a new room which already had a guest. Finally got a room that was clean. When we got there we got a nice clean room. The breakfast was good, but the lady who put the breakfast out was not very friendly. She even turned the lights off at 8:45 when breakfast is till 9.
