10/10! The guy at the front desk, I didn’t catch his name, but he was great from the beginning. The power went out in our room and he immediately came to check on it and get our family of five and two dogs into a new room. We had a great stay and the free breakfast was very beneficial for our family since it would have cost us a lot just to feed our family breakfast somewhere. I saw the housekeepers too working really hard to keep this place clean and up to par.

I rated four stars only because I had one incident that was not addressed, but all other aspects of my stay from check-in to check out was five stars. After check-in, I left a detailed message with how pleased I was with the property and the personal touch that I felt which, after a week on the road, definitely stood out from any other hotel stay. My only problem was that my room door could not be locked without the deadbolt from the inside. When I went to go get a nice dinner before turning in for the night is when I discovered the problem about 7 PM. I went to the front desk and was told that no maintenance technicians were available for the night. The front desk clerk was very nice and said she would try to get me into another room but given the times that the decent restaurants closed I opted to just order pizza for delivery. I still felt at that time and still do that this property is worth going out of my way for, and only gave four stars because they seem to be no pass down to the dayshift clerks two at minimum apologize at checkout or any attempt at a service recovery such as a discount for future stay. Only slightly disappointed, but will stay again if I’m in the area.

The location was good for me. The hotel was just okay. Not as good as most Hamptons I stay at regularly. The bathroom sink was great, good lighting but the shower/tub was terrible. Old damaged, low water pressure. Not up to current standards of most hotels at this level. Food was good except I had to peel my own hard boiled eggs which takes a while. The staff was nice and helpful. Overall it was just okay but not a typical Hampton. I would probably try one of the other hotels in the area next time.

The front desk checked us into our room knowingly there was a sewage backup spillage in the hallway with foul smell entering our room whenever we opened our door. The toilet inside the room has large rusty ring at the base and the toilet did not flush properly. The carpet in the room we stayed in feels soggy with moisture buildup. We will never stay at this hotel.

At night every hour there was a loud rumbling in the ceiling above our bed for about 10-minutes- every hour all night! I walked across the hall to try to find the reason. The utility room was unlocked so I went inside. There was trash, food and loose wires everywhere. The smoke detector was beeping and likely needed a new battery (dangerous?). There were sound shades in the window but they didn't cover the whole window so I was bright all night. They should have curtains also to block the light. The people were friendly and breakfast was good which were the only good things about the stay. We got out early to get away.

The room was clean. But it stank so bad. Apparently it was coming from the bathroom. Like the water over in the area stinks. Our air conditioner was a little loud. But other than that, it was fine.
You are close to coffee shop, Cracker Barrel and gas stations. Close to other restaurants.

The man at the front desk was very friendly, but sadly that was the only good part of our stay.

After a 12-hour drive, we arrived exhausted with our kids and were hoping to finally get some rest. At first, the room looked like what we had booked, but there was a huge AC unit inside that was unbelievably loud. Even after turning it off, the fan kept running all night and could not be shut off, so sleeping was basically impossible.

The room itself also felt very dirty and worn out. The carpet was sticky under our feet, the bathtub/shower was in terrible condition, and everything felt grimy, outdated, and unpleasant. We live in the U.S., so we understand that standards can differ from what we are used to in Germany, but this felt much more like a run-down motel than a hotel. To top it all off, the toilet was clogged.

We now have another 8-hour drive ahead of us and are leaving completely exhausted. This was already our second bad experience with this hotel chain in two different locations, and it will definitely be our last.

do not stay at this property. There is literally nothing good about it. The property was very unkempt ,old and dirty. The carpet in the hallways and in the room was filthy. I had to put a towel down in the shower just to shower. The bathroom was gross! The tub was yellow and looked like it had mold in it!…the breakfast downstairs was equally as dirty and had a very small selection when you talk to the front desk staff, they are generally nice but unhelpful and can’t do anything about the state of the room and when you speak to housekeeping, none of them speak English this property isn’t up to Hampton Inn standards at all usually when I stay at Hampton Inn, it’s very nice. This property is like staying at an old super 8 I had a very bad experience and I would’ve stayed elsewhere if I already hadn’t paid in full

Temp of room was good. Storms came through- lost power a couple of hours. Had a child in wheelchair so couldn't leave. Window was leaking so I went down stairs to let someone know and we moved rooms.

I've stayed at many Hamptons and this onecwas below par. The hallway was musty. The bathroom faucet was loose and flimsy.

Road behind building carried dump trucks, garbage trucks, motorcycles and loud cars. Hard to sleep through all that.

This hotel needs some TLC. I stay at the Hampton because it has always been good no matter where I was. This hotel is run down and did not meet my expectations. The carpets were lifting. The walls were a mess. The toilet seat wasn’t even attached correctly. I won’t stay here again.

We felt like we were staying at a days inn and not a Hampton inn. Room was run down, tv was very dark and could barely see it. Window blind was broken so we could not raise it and it made room very dark during the day. I did complain to the front desk while checking out. Don’t know if that did any good. Very disappointed

Hospitality was good. However this hotel needs some upkeep. Such as the hall carpets steams cleaned. The window shade in our room won’t go up as it has been over pulled and needs replacement. The bathroom needs a good deep cleaning as there is what appeared to be black mold on an area of the tile and tub meet. Appearance outside the hotel and inside are major areas that always need to be kept clean. Also the windows cleaned.

I don’t usually write reviews but unfortunately I have to on this place. So let me start by saying I’ve stayed at other Hilton owned hotels and my experiences have been good but this particular hotel was far from good in my opinion. The rugs were so disgusting that they should all be ripped out and replaced from the lobby to all the rooms, I didn’t even want to take my socks off . Also the bathroom had a issue with the toilet tank continuously filling with water apparently the flap was broken or something in addition the faucet in the sink shot out water with so much pressure in was inevitable not to get soaked. I let the front desk know when I got a text about how my stay was so far and they did move us to another room only that the water issue from the toilet was even worse with the noise and just as the other room no difference not to mention our bed wasn’t made the last two days there . I didn’t complain we endured it being that we were only there for another two days and I did let them know once I checked out. I felt grossed out and uncomfortable the beds were so hard even my husband that doesn’t complain about anything was so happy to leave. This place was not clean unfortunately. I do have to say though that the breakfast was decent and coffee was good. The staff in the front desk was very cooperative and nice unfortunately I feel like this hotel needs a complete overhaul. The area is very nice with close proximity to the outlet mall and downtown area as well as beach.

Disappointing and Unclean Stay

We were very disappointed with our stay at this Hampton Inn by Hilton. From the moment we arrived, the hallways had a strong, unpleasant smell. Our room was in unacceptable condition—there was gum and visible dirt embedded in the carpet from previous guests, and the bathroom was clearly not cleaned before we checked in. On top of that, parts of the bathroom didn’t function properly.

The bed sheets were stained, which is completely unacceptable and made us question the overall cleanliness of the room. Several wall outlets were broken, and only one plug actually worked, making it difficult to charge devices.

Housekeeping was another major issue. Our room was skipped during our stay—no cleaning, no fresh towels, and no restocking of basic essentials. For a brand that advertises cleanliness and comfort, this experience fell far below expectations.

We expected much better from a Hampton Inn and would not recommend this location based on our experience.

The tv has a purple color on it. I had booked two rooms and it was the same in both rooms. The bathroom did not seem clean. There was hair on the shower walls and mold around the soap dish. We booked adjoining rooms and there was dirt between both doors. A housekeeper knocked on the door at 9:30 asking if we were checking out even though check out time was at 11.

Staff was great. Breakfast was consistent with other Hampton Inns, which is good. The facilities, however, were horrible. My wife is a mine canary. She smells everything. The first room's odors were gross. The attendant, Samuel did his best to find us the best of what he had available. I've stayed in many Hampton Inns. My wife will never again stay at a Hampton Inn. To me, that's Hilton's fault for not forcing the operator to maintain the premises to higher standards.
