The hotel it self was okay yes the rugs were dirty but still nice. I requested a King size bed and was given a handicap room so didn’t like that the bed was so much smaller even though I paid extra for a King room. The main reason why I wanted to stay there was for the hot hub and of course it wasn’t working so no heat at all, the pool was warmer than the hot tub. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was okay the reviews online had us to excited but it wasn’t amazing feel like I could have taken the money somewhere else and got better food for cheaper (yes you have to pay extra for breakfast).

Remodeled but still looks old. Hot tub was cold, pool and patio was dirty. Pool had lots of dead beetles in water. Usually Holiday Inn has free breakfast, makes no sense why you have to pay for this one, same food as any other hotels, nothing special. Lobby is nice and clean but rooms and bathrooms still look old. Bed was comfortable to sleep.

The pool and hot tub were both broken. They gave us free breakfast to compensate. The carpet on the 4th floor seemed to be overlaid on previous carpet. It was difficult for the wheelchair to move over it. The bed height was not easily accessible in the handicapped room.

When I arrived the TV didn't work came on but would not connect to the server, I picked up the phone to call the desk...and it was not working. They had no one to come look till the next day. They offer to move me but I had unpacked already. The pool and jacuzzi were loaded with leaves and debris...it happens but the net to skim was completely broken...and the maintenance guys wouldn't be in till 3...no further assistance was offered even when I asked if they just had another one. Which it turns out they did...that day the jacuzzi was hot...the next day the jacuzzi was all clean, however it was not hot. The jets didn't work properly and they said nothing would be done till Monday! The pool/jacuzzi were part of why I picked this stay. We had 4 rooms and we were all disappointed. The desk folks were nice but not willing to go outside there minimal efforts to help. Except Kevin! He was awesome...ran to help. Fix the TV etc... Not sure if I will stay again.

Wasn’t happy about that.. then in the next morning got woken up at 7am to the fire alarms going off.. glad they worked but was a false alarm had to wait about 40 minutes to go off by the fire department.. over all was ok

My husband and I are very disappointed with this hotel. Before I list the bad I will say that the room was surprisingly clean. The bathroom was clean, but needs an update. The Lakeview and pool very nice. Here we go; the elevators were dirty and the carpet on the 3rd floors was even worse. Stains throughout the entire hallway, the walls are dirty and the paint is coming off the doors. We were afraid to enter the room. After watching the TV for a couple hours, the remote will not change the channel. We went down for breakfast at 9:29am the staff said we had two minutes to get breakfast after the front desk told us that breakfast was not over until 10 AM. We paid 25 for this breakfast the only thing that was edible was a yogurt. The eggs were burnt, no cream cheese for the bagels and the French toast cold and tasted like styrofoam. I can go on but will stop. I normally do not write reviews, but I do not want anyone to have to experience what we did !!

Staff was awful and unaccomadating. Rude on the phone to my wife and I and refused to just allow us to check in late after weather canceled our flight.

Never asked for a refund just a late check in. They took all our money and said thanks ..in our by laws we cant help. This over being 10 hours past final check in.

The front desk personnel was very rude at check in due to an issue with reservation via Expedia which is a third party. We asked for extra linen for the couch bed there was none in the room,it took hours to bring it up finally after several requests, the next morning there was NO breakfast due to no chef coming out we were told on Saturday, the carpets are dirty, one of the worse hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

The front desk were excellent nice and friendly but housekeeping did a real bad job in our room and on one of the days they didn’t clean our room and we had to call so they could at least give us towels and throw out the trash! The carpet in the hallway are done so bad that I couldn’t roll my suitcase and they look very dirty! My husband and I were very disappointed and lastly the room I booked I did that get I book a room with a couch and I got a little desk and chair. Very disappointed

It was also going off right after we checked in earlier that day. Air conditioning was super loud when it cycles off.

I reserved a room for my sister and brother-in-law for their 57th year anniversary and the rooms got kind of mixed up. I thought I booked a room with the walk-in shower after looking at the pictures on the room that I did book and come to find out it wasn’t so my sister and brother-in-law were switched about three times to different rooms. The rooms didn’t look like they portrayed them on the website. And I wanted my sister and brother-in-law to have a wonderful anniversary, but it turned out to be just OK. After seeing that the room wasn’t a handicap room, I asked if they could then place them in a room with walk-in shower, staff said ok , but that never happened. They place them in a room with regular tub but placed a shower chair inside of the tub. I explained to staff that she is a fall risk and shouldn’t be trying to step over in the tub. After going thru all that, the manager wouldn’t even refund me back the money for the remaining g stay so I could place them someplace else. It’s a long story. There was one young lady that helped me out tremendously. My sister says she even cane up to the room where they were to make sure they were OK. I really appreciate her and I feel like everyone working at that front desk should be just like her because she was very attentive, apologetic and she made me feel much better than I’d felt since they’d checked in. I’m afraid that I won’t be sending them back for another stay.

Rooms have gone down hill. Not as clean and nice as they used to be. Daily maid service a joke, didn’t empty trash or even make bed. Flooring in hall is soft and mushy, you sink into it when walking. Front desk staff was good, but time to find a new hotel in this area.

The hotel has an odor to it- the hallway to our room just really smelled - maybe like dampness?

The room was fine, nothing really exciting. We wish we had chosen a hotel more central in St. Augustine. This Holiday Inn is far from the historic center in the middle of nowhere.

We would not stay here again.

Property is not well kept trash everywhere outside. Grass not mowed or weeds. Hotel smells like mildew along with rooms. It’s so bad that they have dehumidifiers in every room. Hallway carpets are stained badly. Pictures showed nice luxury rooms the rooms look poorly painted and decorated. Bedding smells like mildew Exterior of building is covered in moss and very dirty. I paid 280 for a night to stay in what most would consider a motel 8 room. I don’t recommend anyone staying here. I also recommend Expedia removing this property from their listings.

The hotel is very used and needs to be refurbished. The drywall next to the shower was very water damaged and gross. The shower had standing water in the tub. I was awaken at 4 am by loud music in a room above us. I called the front desk and it took security 45 minutes to find the room that was partying until 5 am. I would keep looking for another hotel - unless it is your intention to get drunk and party until the sun comes up… then this place is great for you.

The staff was nice and friendly. The hotel room was not clean, very dusty including the floors. The hallway floor was dusty and the furniture was visibly dusty with stains on it. The entrance and lobby of hotel was dirty as well. am allergic to dust and unfortunately I did not sleep well even trying to tidy up a bit myself. The Housekeeper was very nice and friendly when I needed something. To her defense, that is a big hotel and if they only have 1 person clean that floor, that could explain things. you need 2 people to a floor of a large hotel. I used to work in a hotel myself, a 5 star hotel. If they just clean it up it would be a great place to stay, i loved the location.

Property was a DUMP. The first room I was given had MOLD on the ceiling over the bed also in the shower area(I have photos). I went to the front desk and asked for a room change. I then asked the for a room close to the elevator, my right leg was amputated and I was given the farthest room away. The new room given was no better, NO HOT water in the shower. Also there was what appeared to be BLOOD on the bathroom door handle. NOTHING WAS DONE when reported to front desk. First room 409 second room 533. Another fun fact, when checking out I asked for a receipt to show no additional charges to my CC the woman at desk stated word for word. YOU DON'T GET A RECEIPT WHEN YOU BOOK WITH THIRD PARTY, YOU WANT ONE CALL THEM .... Again I have pictures on the two room, this place was DISGUSTING .........

Took 35 minutes for hot water to come on and then only lasted 10 min. No matter what time of the day! Reported it and nothing changed. No offer to switch rooms. Was put in the oldest non renovated room we felt like they had. Bed was the most uncomfortable thing ever that kept us up so bad all night that we lost half our vacation days sleeping in! And to have to pay over $10 for a breakfast at a less than upscale hotel is ridiculous. I have had better breakfast buffers for free at budget hotels than this. Highly disappointed and especially being the first time my husband was visiting FL and this is what he saw and dealt with. Not impressed.

Staff was friendly. Carpet in the hall had paint stains and drywall from a previous renovation. Would have preferred a couch vs a desk for sitting. Room had been repainted at some point with poor edging. Laminate floors were poor quality. Overall, it was quiet with a comfortable bed and we enjoyed our stay.

My first room didn’t have any hot water and then my second room had a tv stuck on a single channel in Spanish without a working remote and they did not have a maintenance person to fix it. They offered to change my room again but I didn’t want to have to deal with anymore disappointment after a long drive

I don't know how this property stays afloat in its condition and the complete lack of care given by the staff. Holiday Inn should be totally embarrassed to have their name on this one. It is filthy - from the outside to the stained carpet on the second floor. The toilet fill tube doesn't work, so you have to lift the tank lid and manually jiggle the float so that the toilet tank refills for the next flush. The shower water is hot initially, but then goes cold and stays cold. Then, to top it all off, on a Sunday afternoon and into the night I thought there was a family above us bouncing a golf ball on their floor constantly. I finally went up to the third floor and found a re-carpeting crew removing the old carpeting and using a hammer and chisel to remove stubborn glued down carpet. Fortunately, I speak Spanish so I was able to determine that they would finish in about an hour (9:30pm) and then quiet down. I went to the front desk and told them about all of the above and the response was literally - and I quote - "I can't do anything about that!"

The air conditioning was so loud we couldn’t sleep. When we tried to call to get it fixed the phone didn’t work. When we checked out the next morning and explained to the staff member what happened all she said was sorry. The outside building in appearance was very good, inside was falling apart.
