A real oasis for family relaxation

Hotel Suite Villa Maria is a lovely resort with a range of spacious, clean and luxurious villas - typically laid out over two floors with en suite bathrooms. There are three swimming pools (including one for kids aged six and under), at least two of which are heated - if not all. With a kids' club and playground on site, it is an ideal place for a family holiday.

There is a mini mart on site too, for drinks, snacks and other foodstuffs and household essentials. The breakfast buffet is plentiful, with a range of hot and cold items, fresh orange juice and bubbly (for those that like the stuff in the morning). There are two restaurants on site for lunch and dinner (one specialises in Italian food), as well as room service.

While the hotel has many positive qualities that make it an oasis, the real stars are the staff. Each person we encountered was kind, warm and helpful, and went about their duties with a smile. Particular praise goes to the housekeepers, who always left our villa looking very tidy. Among the restaurant staff, we would like to thank Sabrina and Antonia (at the omelette station) for the attention they gave us, and Rafaella - the maitre - for taking care of us.

Perhaps the only improvement we can think of is to improve the quality and choices of vegetarian food available. While there were a few options, the offering for vegans and vegetarians could be better.

Great resort! Highly recommend for families!

My wife, 2 year old son and I stayed at the Hotel Suite Villa Maria in May 2024. Our experience from the moment we arrived was nothing short of exceptional. The check in process was smooth, the individual behind reception and the bell boy who took our luggage (and parked our hire car in the under ground garage) were professional, polite and engaging with us all (including my son). From that moment on every employee we came across from room service to the people working in the restaurants/bar showed the same dedication of professionalism. The facilities in the resort are excellent and well maintained. We went to the indoor play area which my son loved, as well as the outdoor play area.

The villa we stayed in was the 2 bedroom suite, which had a jacuzzi outside and amazing views. The breakfast has everything you can think of and the area where breakfast is served (restaurant La Torre) has breathtaking views on a morning. The pools are clean well maintained. The pool bar had great food, and could be served pool side which my son enjoyed daily at lunchtime after a good swim.

I highly recommend Hotel Suite Villa Maria for anyone coming to stay in Costa Adeje as it will not disappoint (especially for families)!

Thank you to everyone at Hotel Suite Villa Maria who executed their duties professionally, made us feel welcome (a home away from home) and overall made our stay memorable!

Villa was spacious, clean and tidy. Kitchen appliances such as oven and microwave could fo with updating. Restaurants served good quality food but menu a litle limited for a longer stay. Room service food wasn't great at all, so only used once. Shop on-site and nearby supermarket were convenient for supplies for smaller meals.

The hotel is excellent and we like the villa as it gives us room and the feel of our own place.
The staff are great with the kids and are very professional, however they seem understaffed expecially at breakfast.
La Caletta area is an old fishing village totally unrecognisable now with lots of 5 star hotels and restaurants.
The only negative was the pool area and i addressed this with reception. On our first week it was fine and there was no issues but on our 2nd week people were placing towels down at 7am to reserve sun loungers and you wouldnt see them till early afternoon which i think is very selfish and shouldnt be allowed, hopefully the hotel addresses this as its really the only negative from our stay.

Pleasant and enjoyable stay

Great staff and service, hotels villas are excellent for those that enjoy their privacy. Very well appointed, would recommend getting one with a hot tub. Breakfasts were good, mix of self service and waiters. We brought our bikes so it was a good if expensive alternative to renting our own place. The venue is ideally suited for families with kids. The location is very quiet on the edge of new developments, but its only a short walk down to La Caleta and many restaurants though the standard is a bit hit and miss, not really an authentic Spanish/Canarian experience, very geared to tourists. Overall a very nice hotel and pleasant stay.

10 mins downhill to la Caleta and a little longer to walk back!several good restaurants there loads of choice

This is a good property for young families in particular I would recommend less for couples looking for luxury - the villas whilst quite spacious don’t really have a wow factor they are comfortable but not what I would describe as 5 star luxury - feels like good quality self catering accommodation rather than hotel

A number of things are closed so you can’t get a drink after 9pm the breakfast wasn’t a great experience they hotel has tried really hard to make it Covid safe but all the food is in individual plastic boxes - selection is isn’t really that great there is no live cooking stations etc

On very steep hill so an easy walk into La Caleta for dinner but need a cab back if you have had a big meal and some drinks

I thought the pool bar at the hotel was ok but probably 30% more expensive than other 5 star properties we have stayed at nearby

Staff were excellent Kate and Christina were lovely a good fun giving us rides back to the villa after too many glasses of wine with dinner

Also a good place if you like golf

We booked the hotel after getting caught up in the tenerife sand storm and flights were grounded. After a couple of hours our flight was back on so all I can tell you that the place looked stunning and the staff were absolutely fantastic. Although it was great to finally get home we were Dissapointed we didnt get to stay the night in the stunning villa.

We stayed at Villa Maria for my 40th celebrations with my family - 13 people in total from my 8 year old daughter to my 93 year old grand father.

The hotel was well located in a nice part of Adeje, with many activities nearby, and Playa la Caleta a 15 minute walk with several excellent restaurants.

The villas were larger than I expected all with views to the Atlantic Ocean. They were close to the hotel pool and restaurant. If the uphill walks were too much the wonderful hotel staff were happy to whizz us up on a buggy.

The breakfast spread was delicious, and evening meals were great, if a bit pricey.

We were here for a family holiday - kids 10 and 12 - and absolutely loved it. Amazing service throughout with nothing being too much trouble. Breakfast was superb and the pool is excellent too. The villa was a great space, even though we didn't spend too much time in it, and having the two bedrooms, with 'proper' beds for the kids as opposed to a couch bed, was fantastic.

Amazing and perfect for us

Great for a quieter area to stay. Facilities of the hotel/villa was perfect for our family. The included breakfast had everything you could want. Walking distance to a small town 'La Caleta' for more restaurants. Limited shops near by but taxi distance to a supermarket.
No loud drinking parties/hen/stag do's. Swimming pools well great, lovely setting and friendly staff. Happily come back!

Everyone working there goes the extra mile to make you comfortable and all really friendly with the kids.

We just spent a week at Villa Maria and had a fabulous time. Our three bedroom villa was perfect for the 5 of us. The hotel grounds are lovely, the staff friendly, and the breakfast buffet was terrific. We also really enjoyed the location of the hotel, just up the road from La Caleta. Much better than being in Adeje by all the hotels.
The only negative was the terrible hairdryer in the villa.

Lovely private villas in a great location

A great business model - private villas with your own small garden (or Jacuzzi / pool on the larger villas), plus all the benefits of a hotel e.g. restaurants, bars, pools, room service, baby sitting etc. The location is also great - surrounded on 2 sides by a golf course and an easy walk to the small fishing village of Caletta with an abundance of great restaurants.

Peaceful retreat

We stayed in a lovely two bedroom villa. The villa is well designed and spacious with a garden, jacuzzi and balcony on the first floor. All well furnished and clean.
Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was included with a full tasty buffet.
The hotel layout gives you privacy with tropical planting outside the villas and along the path ways.
The pool areas have plenty of sun beds and are clean and tidy.
We stayed at the beginning March and found the hotel to be tranquil and relaxing.
Just a short journey to local fishing village with plenty of restaurants to choose from.

A perfect setting for a perfect holiday

A great holiday. The local area was tasteful and had good restaurants.
Great for walks along the coastline and places of interest if you hire a car. Mount Teidi national park is amazing and the whole family enjoyed Siam park. We found Adeje and hotel villa maria a clean and well kept area. On the whole a beautiful pleasant place to be. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Nice little hotel.

We were there in late August 2016. Overall the hotel is nice and the Villas are great. The staff are all very helpful and score 10/10. There are guests around but the hotel never feels crowded. The only issues are 1) the food is limited. Both restaurants offered the same menu for dinner which after a couple of days became a little boring; and 2) the hotel is a taxi ride from the nearest sandy beach (although taxis are not expensive).

Lovely comfortable villa but not 5*. Quiet relaxing place to stay. Areas to improve: food at lunch and dinner, don't try barbecue, it was both our most expensive and worst meal; gym is pathetic and no air conditioning; evening entertainment; more comfortable sofas in living room; take your own beach/pool towel. For 5* I would expect free bottles of water every day and tea/coffee supplies. That said I would return as long as the price was right. I recommend hiring a car so you can out for a decent meal as nothing in the immediate area. Pool is nice, gardens lovely, beds comfy.

Perfect for baby and toddler!!

My husband and I stayed with our two sons. 8 months and 2 years old. Prefect for people with young children, all the amenities perfect without it being a tacky holiday resort. Outside play area a real hit with my son and a lovely indoor play room for when the sun gets a bit much. Pool areas fantastic, clean and spacious and lovely for little ones.

For parents with young children that you may find helpful:
You won't need black out blinds and curtains make the room pitch black. So much so I had to use my kindle as night light.
Cots great with thick blankets and mini pillows.
Nice big bath but a bit slippery so maybe take a bath mat if you have a baby or toddler.
Plenty of towels.
Felt very safe in the villa.
Kettle nice and clean and new and microwave good.

Would stay here again all staff great and lovely place!

The Villa Maria is a fabulous resort for anyone with children.
We just got back yesterday from a week with our 11 month old and were so impressed with the friendly staff and the superb facilities available.
The best was the private jacuzzi in the back of our villa so we could relax with Champagne when our daughter was napping.
Top notch hotel - didn't want to leave!

Problems with water pressue

This was our second stay at Viillas Maria. The hotel has a lot of potential but continues to have teething problems. The main issue this time was the we did not have any water in our villa during each morning. We complained about this on day 1 of our stay and although we were reassured that the problem was fixed the same thing happened next day. We were surprised that they were reluctant to change us rooms and the only did this after our insistence and on the third day. Our understanding was that the problem is with the water pressure with the villas that are high up in the complex. Once we were moved to a lower villa we had no other problems.
I dread to think what happens during the summer months when pressure on water use would be even greater,
The strength of wifi is a problem but they are willing to find solutions if you are insistent and explain to them that you need to have access to it. The staff are excellent and the complex delightful. Please sort the above issues so that you get a 5 star rating

We loved Villa Maria, just wished it was closer to Adeje! La Caleta was very nice with some good restaurants. The breakfast at Villa Maria was first class, loved the Moet which was a very nice touch. Dinner had a very limited choice, if you were there for more than a week you would run out of different things to eat.
Our room was fantastic, we had 3 showers! Nice big balcony with view of mountains and the sea.
Shame the hotel was a bit quiet when we were there, the place was deserted at night and lacked atmosphere, but I suppose that it typical early in the year.

Det var en helt fantastisk og uforglemmelig opphold. Dette hotellet ligner ikke på mange andre turistmaskiner hvor gjestene ligger på hodene til hverandre. Her er det jun rundt 80 villaer som ligger spredt og ikke forstiyrrer hverandre. Personalet er helt fantastisk! Vi kommer hit igjen!

Très bon séjour

Le cadre est magnifique, très arboré et fleuri. La villa est confortable et spacieuse, la terrasse très agréable. Le service est bon avec en surprise le depot d'une bouteille de vin pour la date anniversaire d'un voyageur. Le buffet petit dejeuner et le déjeuner sont top, le buffet diner bon mais variable. Seul défaut le jaccuzzi tombé en panne au moins trois fois pendant le séjour.
