No hotel should be this expensive for what it was.
The Jacuzzi was ice cold
The pool was also unheated in October
No drawstrings for the curtains
Plumbing issues throughout the whole property
Our luggage was misplaced immediately. Upon arrival. It took us 45 minutes to get them back.
This Hotel was referred to me through the Michelin guide I feel like they need to refund me! It’s definitely not a Michelin star hotel.

dont be worried about staying in the Natura building - its really lovely - the design and quality is there to see - the breakfast is incredible by the sea and overall you feel you are in a special hotel - 4 things to make it perfect - bigger beds, more pillows, heated plunge pools on balconies, teach the chef how to make scrambled tofu

Room had great views and was quiet and comfortable.
As a downside, the metal panels on the balcony above our patio were severely rusted and, in addition to detracting from the visual appeal of the building, it may not be safe.
Other than that, I would recommend adding a separate small refrigerator and a microwave in the room.

Beautiful views and grounds

The hotel is nice and has beautiful grounds, avgerage breakfast and dinner. The value is hard to find considering you can receive actual 5 star service, amenities and cuisine at a Belmond or Four Seasons property for nearly the same rate. Was very dissapointed that they had work being done in our section of the hotel which created a very strong chemical oder in the common areas for the entire stay. Our room was nice and open but the bathroom shower leaked out onto the tiles outside of the shower creating a very hazardous situation and contsant cleaning. The staff did discount the room for the inconvenience and we will focus on the amazing views, super clean sea which we were able to enjoy and the proximity to several sites.

This property is absolutely stunning from the outside, with beautiful architecture, easy ocean access and pristine landscaping. My only two complaints with this property are that the rooms, or at least the ocean view room we stayed in, is quite outdated. With such a beautiful building I would have loved to see more of that Spanish flair and design within the rooms rather than early 2000s yacht chic. My second problem with the hotel is that as a younger guest I don’t feel like you get equal treatment as the 60 crowd that’s there, which this resort mostly seems to cater to.

We had another fantastic stay at the Hospice Maricel and missed not being able to travel there over the past 12 months. The staff were lovely as always and they made sure everything was taken care of. The stay was perfect and we are looking forward to going back again next summer

The hotel staff are very friendly and welcoming and the location is beautiful. The room condition is no where near 5 star. No bin liners in the bins, no toilet brush, the square basins do not drain properly, the kettle plug does not reach the table, hairdryer on small table under basin, clean towels left in bath and not placed on towel rack Aside from all those negative aspects the worst thing about the hotel is the noise level. We were on the first floor and could hear people clearly talking in reception. Whilst it may be a beautiful building with lovely entrance and view the room is totally not up to standard.

The swimming pool views are amazing, pool staff were brilliant. The service in the room wasn’t great, towels taken and not replaced, complimentary daily water not replaced and our balcony wooden slates broke when we went outside. About 15 minutes in a taxi to Palma

The location directly on the water is excellent. Pool and outdoor areas are lovely. We had concerns about the size of our room and the lack of bathroom storage. We were approached within 24 hours by the management who graciously expressed their appreciation of our critique and solved the problem. We were very impressed when given an upgrade for the last 2 nights of our 5 night stay. All staff are very personable. Breakfast buffet is great.

The hotel is without doubt beautiful and located at an ideal location. However, the staffs act as if they own the property- impudent, rude, and just plainly undelightful.
I stayed at the annex building suite with a pool but the room wasn’t cleaned well and the pool was very dirty. Footprints were visual dusts were everywherr. and There were some parties so it was loud and noisy.
The worst part was room service. The food brought looked like microwaved meals and croquettes were unedibly burnt.
Calling for service was a hassle since the lines were always busy and this was just not the best serviced hotel at all. Highly disappointed.

This hotel is amazing! Overlooking beautiful rock formations and crystal clear water. Loved being able to walk down steps to the ocean for a swim and eat breakfast overlooking the water. Attentive service and fantastic drinks by the pool (Sangrias were perfection).From beginning to end our stay there was incredible. The front desk staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. The food was SOOO good we ate there two nights in a row (Anna, our waitress was so sweet and attentive and the bartender made the best drinks).

Beautiful property, amazing views, first rate staff and well located in walking distance or short taxi ride from Palma center and shops and restaurant. Small beach is right next to hotel. Huge pool area with bar and cabanas - very nicely done and not crowded or noisy. Relaxing and quiet resort with upscale clientele and a fantastic breakfast served on the terrace. We had a great time!

Great place to honeymoon!

We visited the Hospes for our honeymoon and liked it so much that we decided to stay an extra day. It is situated in a small town about a 10 minute drive from Palma. It was very convenient to have restaurants / bars locally, as well as larger Palma very accessible.

We stayed in the Eco building, which is a separate building across the street that has the same modern style as the spa. If you like a more classic style, I recommend staying in the Palace rooms as these are the marble ones in the main building. That said, the walk to the pool has a purpose built walkway that goes under the road so the resort feels more cohesive than you might think given the 2 buildings. The pool is as great as it looks and the staff is fantastic!

It is also worth noting that a car is a great way to see the island and the resort has reasonable (14 euro / day) parking on site!

we initially booked a plunge pool room, which in winter cold was a mistake. Additionally, that shower leaked because of a modern design flaw in the drainage. However, the staff moved us into a room overlooking the pool and ocean. It was warm and beautiful. the best hotel of our trip to spain, morocco, and portugal.

Killer location - absolutely gorgeous view overlooKing the sea. Room we were allocated in Natura 1 was very modern, but very noisy due to busy main road. Still had good view of the sea though. We were upgraded to a smaller, but adequate room in main building, gorgeous view, lovely and peaceful.
Staff very polite and attentive. Great breakfast. Nice pool, and great swimming in the sea. Would recommend and return to this hotel, but more 4.5 stars.

My wife and I have just returned from a 2 week stay at the hotel Maricel. The service was exceptional with the staff both friendly and efficient. Our room was fantastic albeit we had the Eco room with the infinity pool on the balcony. However we are sure that we would have had the same level of attention whatever room we were in.
highly recommended - will.definitely return.

Beautiful hotel, but it lacks something. The pool area is very pretty. The food is solid, even though we did not eat at Maricel. The rooms were fine, even though the annex buildings are not as nice. The location of the hotel is in a tweener neighborhood with little nightlife or decent food. Rent a car and go to Palma, which is only 15 minutes away.

Perfect Mallorcan Getaway

My Wife and I spent a wonderful, relaxing week at this fabulous hotel. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, from checking in on the terrace with a drink until we checked out. On returning to our room everyday we were delighted to find little treats which had been left, from traditional local cakes to fresh fruit, just a nice touch. The room was fantastic, very spacious, a fantastic view of the Mediterranean and we even had a plunge pool on our balcony which was great for cooling off after a day of sunbathing!! The food in the hotel was excellent, however the they could do with a few more options for vegetarians and they could also extend their bar snack menu for a few lighter options for lunch. The hotel is a beautiful building, and is in a fabulous position in a quiet bay where you can relax in the pool or sunbathing and also enjoy a lovely cocktail of an evening on the terrace with the lights of Palma in the distance. There are only a few very small beaches near the hotel which were quite busy with locals but we were more than happy to relax on the terraces of the hotel. The standard breakfast was a fantastic with plenty of choices of fresh fruit, cold meats, pancakes, waffles, cooked breakfast, pastries, etc. And the view whilst eating breakfast is to die for. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and our stay and will return in the future.

Beautiful hotel, great food, really friendly people and a very pretty setting. The bar service was a little slow, we had to ask again for our drinks on a few occasions. Our biggest concern was the wait for taxis. I know this is beyond your control but a contract with a local rank would really help.
Loved the little things, lanterns at night time, fresh towels on the sun loungers throughout the day, waiter service by the pool etc. Staff were very courteous and nothing was too much trouble.
The food was sensational, breakfast, lunch and evening meal were all absolutely delicious and a good selection to choose from.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
Top Tip... the taxi took so long one day that we took the bus into Palma... Very frequent and dirt cheap!!

Only downside was that as I was travelling with my daughter, is asked for twin beds. When they separated the bed into two, it created extremely narrow beds - narrower than even a standard single.

Fantastic 5-star hotel. Staff was extremely helpful - made all our dinner reservations, etc. Great view of the Med from the rooms. Be sure to sign up for their 9 course breakfast feast - outstanding.
Everything was just superb. Away from the downtown area - about a 15 min bus ride, but the stop is right outside the hotel and only costs a few dollars.

Small hotel fusing Majorcan and contemporary desig

Brilliant hotel with superb views of the bay of Palma. Slightly quirky in design which combines classical Majorcan design with ultra modern design ....we stayed in an Eco suite with its own mini balcony pool.
The staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. Restaurant very good and freshly crooked with a good range of dishes for all tastes....not cheap but you pay for what you get.
This will become a regular bolt hole for us in the future!!

Beautiful Hotel - not so pretty area

The staff were welcoming on arrival but we asked if we could get a snack and no one came over with a menu - we had to go and ask the receptionist to get the bar staff for us. On one occasion we asked for a snack by the pool on a rainy day and we waited for about half an hour for a menu then gave up and went out. Sometimes if you arrived to breakfast there were no tables available but the breakfast was very good choice.

The room - it wasn't clear from booking on Expedia that the Eco Rooms are in another building across the road to the main hotel. We did get upgraded to the best Eco Room when we arrived for the same price which was very good. Although we did ask if we could get a room in the main hotel when we realised the buildings were separate but no one called back at all that evening. We then asked the next day and they did find us a room which we declined in the end as it was much smaller than the one we had. The Eco rooms are under the road and are by the gym and spa area and the underground garage. To park in the hotel costs 12 Euros per day.

First night they put us in an old dirty room with a non-working air conditioning. We complained 3 times about it, but nothing was done. We were told to give the AC time and it will start cooling. It never did. The next day we were moved to their newer building across the street, but to our disappointment there was no hot water in the morning. Not a five star hotel. Unfriendly staff.

Booked an Eco Deluxe room w Private Pool. They didn't mention these rooms are across the street and over look a major road with constant noisy traffic. Have to look over traffic to see the water. Kept us up all night. Was not impressed with the staff. Quite short and you could tell they get a lot of complaints about rooms. The only nice part of this hotel is the pool. In an awful area of Palma without many restaurants within walking distance.
Very very under impressed. And quite honestly it ruined our vacation there due to lack of sleep in noisy room.

A truly beautiful building with the most helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We had some issues (hence my giving Pleasing rather than excellent overall) but they bent over backwards to help make things right. Javier, especially was exemplary in my opinion. Because of this attitude of trying to make your stay as good as it can be, I would love to go back.
A small issue that I have had to insert here as the 'Things that could be improved' section isn't large enough - I think the corridors of the annexe should be air conditioned as when you leave your room it is very hot and some distance before you are out of the building and this is not great as you are then very hot again (not what you want having got ready to go out to dinner).

Awesome hotel, average service

No question that Hospes was a beautiful hotel but the service we encountered was not what you'd expect for a 5 star hotel. Everything was just too hard for staff. And every minor request was an extra cost. Was so shocked to be told that a late check out at 2pm would cost an extra 90 euro... Seriously?... I have loads of examples to add but will spare you. Restaurant service was also pretty bad so recommend taking a walk into town instead of using the restaurant.
Was not a terrible place I expected a higher quality of service for the price.

Great hotel

I traveled to Spain with my husband and 2 couples. Mallorca was our favorite stop in Spain. The hotel was in a great location and we loved the pool. It was very quiet so if you're looking for late night scene, this isn't it. Everyone was very nice.

Gorgeous location!

This is a spa hotel and I do not use those facilities. Our first room was beautiful but not comfortable and in an annexed building and I have minor mobility issues.. Because they were at capacity, they gave us
the second room for only one night. It was beautiful and had a large terrace with a fabulous view. We spent the third and fourth night in a room with another beautiful view, no terrace and in need for some updating.

Amazing Mallorca property. Truly wonderful service

The hotel is first class, a gem just outside of Palma. The staff was truly customer focused, and the hotel amenities were magnificent. Awesome poolside experience. Truly outstanding spa and services offered. Meals in the restaurant, both breakfast and dinner consistently delicious. We would highly recommend the property and will definitely return.

£12 for a tea and coffee in the morning!!!!!!

Everything is fantastic at this hotel, rooms are clean, staff are friendly, location is AMAZING, you will find waking up to the sunshine breaking out above the ocean as one of the best experiences that the world has to offer but the best thing that the hotel doesn't offer is tea and coffee facilities in the room and in order to get a hot cuppa in the morning to enjoy that beautiful sunrise in your big comfy bed you will have to order room service and pay £6 a cup. The staff said it was maybe because I was British that this was an issue.... but I have stayed in many a hotel around the world and in even the lowest budget hotels there are drinks facilities in the room. They do however provide a bottle of complimentary tap water in the evening.

The lady loved it!

It was excellent in every respect – half board option included a delicious evening (Mallorcian style) meal and breakfast. Excellent, well trained Spanish staff, really nice, well equipped spa; had an absolutely lovely room – one of those two, right at the top, in the ‘attico’- with splendid views over the sea to east and south. We … most importantly, SHE loved it!! They must’ve spent a fortune over the last few years making it so very nice.
