Good old fashioned city hotel in a good location for tourists. All the wonderful department store nearby have fallen on hard times and were disappointing, but it was easy to get to museums, food, and hipper neighborhoods. It was very good for a longer stay (almost 2 weeks for me).

After checking in and settling into room, I went to search for ice. Had to call down to the front desk to inquire where the closest ice machine was located. We were staying on the 12th floor. There was an ice machine hidden down the hall from elevator inside a closet. There were old moldy what looked like raisins on the floor and the ice machine did not work. Called back down to the front desk and was told to come to them and they would help me get ice. Upon arriving at the front desk I asking for a new liner for the ice container as mine now had black specks in it from trying to retrieve ice from the broken machine on 12. The front desk person told me he didn’t have any extra bags, and he would have to called housekeeping. Then proceeded to stand there and look at me. After a minute of him just looking at me, I asked if I could just get a couple cups of ice instead. He said sure and disappeared into the closed cafe. He return with two empty cups and said the ice machine down there was empty. He told me to try the 14th or 16th floor, handed my the empty cups and sent me on my way. I struggled getting ice into the cups from the 14th floor as my hands were full at this moment, but did succeed. Made it back to the room.

Went to sit down on the bed, the bed was really hard, could definitely feel the springs in the mattress and felt like the bed was on the floor. There was a definite dip in the middle of the mattress when you went to lay down you naturally fell into.

The room was not what we expected based on the pictures from the website. The room completely lacked any personality or comfort. There was only one towel in the room for the two of us, so I had to dry off from my shower with hand towels. The room was awkwardly arranged with two very uncomfortable chairs and no real sitting arrangement (as the word \"suite\" should indicate), and the television is inconveniently small for the location in the room as it was placed on the far wall from the bed in a very long and narrow room. Even sitting in the room to relax and have a pre-evening drink was difficult as there are no tables upon which to put a drink, even if you wanted to sit in the very uncomfortable chairs. Additionally, the room was either dark or overwhelmingly bright, with not a lot of balance and felt as welcoming as a drive up motel room.

The staff was gracious and helpful. The bar is a nice feature but with an uncomfortable room that didn't invite a feeling of welcome, the overall stay was very disappointing. We have stayed in the hotel before and was excited to return. This trip was such a disappointment.

Hotel was fine, staff was very friendly. Just note that it's next door to a hospital and the ambulance run all night. If you're a light sleeper, it would be best to avoid.

The staff was the best part, thank you Marcus! This made the stay, at this beautiful hotel. In a world that can seem disconnected, Marcus greeted us with a warm smile, a firm handshake, and gave us the lay of the land. His kind heart was welcoming and engaged. Finding amazing staff like this is hard to come by (coming from a a hospitality background). Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The common areas and hallways were clean and welcoming. I will recommend this hotel!

Location is nice as well as the rooms however we got double charged for the service fee. We stayed for 3 nights and got charged 180 dollars which is the normal price however after we checked out we got charged another 180 dollars so in total 360 dollars.

The facility was lovely. Staff was kind BUT the bellman was rarely at his station. The area where our bags were kept were within eye sight BUT he was never there to take or give bags promptly. He was hopefully busy doing other things for staff and guests but this was a downside of our stay.

Yes to all suggested! The room was small and cold, I didn't take a shower because I didn't understand they have to run the water for some time before it gets warmer. I called housekeeping and got an argument about that! On top of all of this, my knee was injured so I was in pain the whole time. So no, it was not a good stay.

Hotel was good overall. Some issues with the shower mainly, the door would slide open from times to times, and managing the heat/cold of the shower was a challenge.
The staff was non welcoming. With barely some greetings from the front desk. We even sometimes feel like bothering them when asking questions. During these 4 days, we have seen many different people behind the desk, and only one was nice and welcoming.
The room was small as well, but enough for a few days.

Staff, bell hop in particular was amazing! Valet parkers were very helpful.
Nice room. TV leaves a bit to be desired with no access to guide or info. Also volume was intermittent with fluctuation from where set to audible and then to too loud to barely audible. Really? How does this happen in the same channel?

I booked a stay at the Warwick Allerton to treat my daughter for her birthday. When I made the reservation, I reached out to the hotel to see if there’s any type of birthday welcome available for my daughter. I suggested if they could decorate the room if possible, but was told that’s not something that they normally do. However, I was offered an upgraded room which I was told would be allocated for us. Upon arrival, we were a bit early to check in, so we asked the front desk if anything was ready and we were told no not at the moment but to come back closer to check in time which is 4 PM. When we came back closer to 4 PM Wayne, at the front desk checked to see if the upgraded suite was ready and was told that housekeeping has not gotten to the suite and that it would not be ready until 5:30 PM. I asked if there was anything he could do to get us in a little bit sooner because we had dinner reservations and we needed to get in to get ready and was told there was nothing he can do besides get us in the original room that was booked. At that moment, I didn’t feel like a valued guest or that our promised room was a priority, therefore making me feel like I was not a priority. Honestly, that’s the first time I’ve ever felt that way at any hotel that I’ve ever checked in, and don’t ever want to feel like that way again. Next time I’m in Chicago. I’ll definitely be looking at different hotels to stay in.

Staff was great, especially Marcus the doorman. The bath towels were very small, im 5ft. 130lbs. And it barely covered me up, not sure how thia would work for larger/taller folks. The body wash diapenser in shower was completely empty.
They have a shampoo dispenser no.conditioner.
1 little bar of soap at sink and thats about it for vanity amenities
Had a small fridge which was unexpected.
A lockbox but the # pad was glitchy, only a few of #'s would engage
Great location though. Beds weren't amazing.
For the price $308 orbitz for 3 nights it was fine.

The extra $24/ night needs to be posted on Expedia. I get paying for it, but didn't know about it until I arrived. I didn't even use the gym and the wi-fi was slow. so basically i paid $48 for 4 bottles of cheap water. At least give us high end water.
