The good things are the resort is really clean, staff are really friendly and helpful, different routes of shuttle bus are nonstop taking people around the resort, foods were excellent and well served with plenty of drink choice.

Bad things are we paid for our transfer in Toronto for airport to hotel in Punta Cana there was no receipt and advise where to pick up our transfer so we had REALLY a hard time to look for your transfer to the resort since locals hardly speak any English so did the staff in the resort.

Secondly, there was water leaking in the washroom. We also discovered that there were ants on our bed in the first room which made my wife and me couldn't sleep at all at the first night, furthermore there was no cold water for us either shower or bath tub, the water pressure was so slow which took 3 hours to fill half of the Jacuzzi, you needed another one hour to let the water in the Jacuzzi cooled down so that you can enter it, really frustrated indeed. You has to be a Hercules to open the glass door to the balcony.

We moved to another room for the rest of the trip but still there wasn't any cold water at all.

Conclusively, a slightly above average resort with good landscape, staff and food, not enough entertainment throughout the resort either day or night. Resort needed to be renovated in due course.

Overall is a good place for family and kids. However, I have to advise to be Carful on the beach ! do not buy any tours from the beach ONLY at the resort official reps ! we had a bad experience with that. I strongly suggest that the Hotel will put a SIGN to ALL the tourist that the beach is NOT belong to the resort and that its a public beaches that anyone can just sale whatever they want ( which is dangerous to customers and kids ! ) other then this all is good.

We had a blast. There is a lot to do from an activity perspective, and the pools and waterpark and activities for kids were great! I will be back with my kids. There is an opportunity to simplify check-in and check-out, and the family concierge was very helpful! The room and common areas were very clean! Thank you!

Pros: The grounds are well maintained, staff all super friendly. Pools were great and the beach while crowded was still a highlight with soft white sand.
Cons: rooms are extremely outdated. First night our toilet broke at 11 pm, they could not move us to a new room so we waited for maintenance to find a replacement piece. On night 4 the shower that should be attached to the wall fell on my husband… this time they had no choice to move us. Second room was better with updated bathroom.
This resort could be great if the room get a full overhaul. Food was average at resort, we were never hungry but don’t expect anything super foodie

Dining: The buffet and restaurants are excellent. Tip: Use the app to book reservations before you arrive and screenshot the confirmation to show staff.
• Families: Stay near the waterpark! It’s perfect for kids and easy for parents to supervise.
• Cleanliness: The rooms were always kept very clean.
Cons:
• Reception: No welcome drinks and unhelpful over the phone. They often tell you to walk to the lobby rather than answering questions.
• Maintenance: Housekeeping frequently forgot to refill coffee, the mini-fridge, or shower gel.
• Bar/Room Service: Bartenders struggled with basic drinks. Room service is prompt by day but unreliable at night.
• Beach: Extremely crowded every day.
Summary: Great for foodies and families, but the service needs a major upgrade. Be prepared for some \"DIY\" troubleshooting with the staff

From the night we arrived we had so many issues with the hotel. We opened the door to our room & found the safe in the middle of the floor along with a bunch of tools. The bellman immediately called to have someone come deal with it. It was late so when no one came after waiting over an hour we went to get food & had to bring all our valuables with us. No one ever showed that night. The following day we called 4 different times and were told repeatedly that someone was on there way. After 4 HOURS of sitting in the room, someone FINALLY showed up. When I went to the front desk to complain the manager tried to offer me a late check out. I thought the guy was joking!! I told him that was not good enough. So instead he offered my husband and I each a 25 min massage. When we went to the spa & tried to redeem them, my husband was told he needed to go somewhere else. He went there and was told it wasn't the right place either. We couldn't find where to go and it was our last day there. We couldn't go sooner because of other plans, so we never got to use the vouchers.

The food at the buffet was not good, but the restaurants that we could make reservations at were good. However, there was one night that we went to a dinner and when I sat down in the chair it was so weak that it broke and I immediately fell to the floor. I will never stay there again! And I wouldn't recommend anyone else stay there either!

The resort was nice. It's perfect if you have very small children and if you dont mind being woken up every morning at 7am by children crying and screaming little kids in the hallways. I have teens and they tried to go to the teen club several times during our stay and it was locked. We didnt realize that this property and several other Bahia properties were all together. That's ok, but we were not allowed to get drinks at the other properties' bars. The bartenders would not serve us. The al la carte restaurants were all booked up so we could not get a reservation. I would have liked to have more alcohol options in the room besides the 2 cans of beer that they put in the little fridge. Overall, the vacation wasn't terrible, it was just OK. I dont plan on going back to this particular resort in the future.

Our stay was phenomenal. We traveled with a toddler so it was very important to have a hotel that offered entertainment for our son. The resort had face painting, dancing for kids, a kids club, babysitting services, a Disney like look, characters, and separate kids buffet at the fancier restaurants. The kids waterpark and pools having shallow zones so our son could play without us having to hold him in the pools made things very easy. One star is removed due to the food being sub par even for an all inclusive, but the dinner buffet and Gourmet restaurant was very good. Rooms were clean and the staff was very nice. Overall, we would definitely return with our young child. If you are looking for a resort for your toddler or young child to be entertained, this is definitely the place.

The “privilege membership” sales representatives were overly aggressive and took 2 hours out of our day to explain something that could have taken 15 minutes. They gave us a voucher for our time that we didn’t use because it was not worthy compared to price of what the voucher offered. Other than that great place. DR is beautiful and resort is as well.

Air was not working very well and the door to the balcony would not close it was broken.resturants were good but wish they had more options on food for kids. Not safe to drink water. We did our best to keep kids from swallowing any water. Pool looks ok but is contaminated and my toddler got very sick staying at this resort.

Facilities are very dated and not repaired - refrigerator in room didn't work, had cobwebs and rust while trying to set the dial to get it to work. 'Maintenance' guy who came didn't known how to plug in the fridge light which i fixed myself.

Room Air conditioner control does not work - if on, its full blast, only way to turn it down is press and hold button to turn completely off. Most public areas including the buffet had no fans and AC off in 29 deg C heat.

Staff were a mix between helpful and hardworking and non-attentive, didn't care, or 'sorry i speak no English'. Multiple incidents such as 'concierge' hanging up repeatedly, and another not knowing where the hotel restaurants were. App map showed restaurant in wrong location and they charge you if you are late for 'reservation'.

This hotel is extremely disappointing. Many of the positive reviews appear questionable, and based on my experience, they do not reflect reality. The food quality is very poor, and during my stay I personally observed numerous sanitation and cleanliness issues that would raise serious health concerns. I am honestly surprised more guests are not reporting illness. Overall cleanliness is lacking, and customer service is consistently poor.

Additionally, I had a troubling experience with staff honesty. I asked the front desk to help arrange transportation to the airport. I was initially told it would be $40 per person, which felt excessive, but as I was traveling alone with two children and needed a reliable ride, I agreed. The next day, I asked a different front desk employee for clarification and was told the total cost was $40 for the ride, not per person. This inconsistency strongly suggests the initial quote was misleading and raises concerns about staff integrity.

To make matters worse, a personal item went missing from my room. My phone charger port disappeared after housekeeping serviced the room. I am certain it was there before cleaning, as my phone was charging when I left. The cord had been moved under the TV, but the port was gone. While the item itself is inexpensive, that is not the point. When personal belongings go missing, it creates a feeling of insecurity and distrust. The hotel is outdated- not happy that transportation was not included to and from the airport to hotel and vice versa. many of the snack bars did not have food ready at the times they had indicated. Staff were friendly. Not much entertainment for the kids that did not want to go to kids club during the day. 1 waterpark slide was very slow and the water was extremely cold. Better amenities at the adjacent Bahia hotels. Bonus that you can access those facilities. Had to wait a long time for carts to the beach. Beach restaurant had flies all over the food at lunch time. À la carte restaurants were great! Would go back but would choose another Bahia.

Upon check-in, not many people at the front desk could speak English. We were given our room when we walked all the way up three flights of stairs with our luggage. We opened our room and there were other people in it. We had to go back down to the front desk with all of our luggage and sweatshirts in 82° weather and thank God for Jaylin he was a godsend as well as Galvin. They both spoke perfect English could not believe that we received a room with somebody else in it immediately grabbed our luggage, got us a different room, and personally escorted us to our room on a golf cart. The staff at the restaurants were also very nice and good service. The only issue that I had with this place was that it is too crowded. I felt like it was oversold for the holidays there were lines for everything you had to wake up at 6 AM to put a towel on a chair or you wouldn’t get one. Every beach chair was taken by 7:30 AM. There were people selling things and bothering you all day whether it was a spa treatment jet ski skiing it wasn’t a relaxing vacation on the other hand. There wasn’t a lot for teens to do. It was geared towards toddlers and strollers I would not go back to this resort. I like smaller more boutique type of places, but that is me doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with the place. It just wasn’t my cup of tea. Shout out to Galvin and Jaylin. They went above and beyond and should be recognized for their outstanding efforts.

When you book from Expedia , hotel never respect your reservation. They gave my family of five one bed! We reserved two beds and one sofa! This is huge scam happened to us. Everyone asked me to pay USD to them for each question. No access to the restaurant and reservation accepted when you paid extra money to employees! What? Is it all inclusive? It’s big lie. People DO NOT COME HERE IF YOUR HEALTH AND YOUR KIDS ARE VALUABLE FOR YOU!!! People urine in the pool! Mucus in the mouth and Food was seen in the pool. Zero hygiene. Children urinated in the water. The smell of sewage in the bedroom all night caused my child to be poisoned. No cold water in the room. This is a big scam. If you like to die, come here. They told me that if you want to access the service you have to become a member and they kept us in a room like a prisoner for two days until I signed a contract with them for thirty thousand dollars for sixty more trips here!!!! You must be an idiot to repeat such a trip! I told you the truth. Will you understand and believe it or will you pay and leave your physical and mental health in the hands of these scammers? When you enter the dining hall, the stench fills your nostrils and you will remember me. When you vomit from the smell of sewage, you will remember my child.

Very friendly staff. The front desk was very helpful. Each restaurant had a friendly face. The only thing I can complain about is the Dominican night. I been to several hotel in 4 parts of the Dominican Republic. I never paid extra for the Dominican music/ show. In this hotel they made what they call a village where they have the show and little bites of different Dominican foods. The show was good, but I have gotten it for free in the other hotels I been to and the food had more variety Dominican food in the buffet. Other than that my experience was fantastic. My 6 year old loved every minute of it.

While the property was maintained, it clearly showed its age, and the aging infrastructure led to persistent issues. As someone with plumbing experience, the repair process was particularly frustrating; we dealt with leaks/repairs almost daily, yet staff was unqualified to address them. For example I reported a leaking bathtub only for them to replace a toilet valve—a completely unrelated fix. This lack of technical expertise, compounded by a tough language barrier, meant that problems were rarely solved correctly. Furthermore, while the pools were solid, they needed more frequent cleaning, and the trolley system was inefficient due to excessive wait times. Service was also inconsistent, as the abrasive attitude of the front desk staff felt out of place compared to the hospitality found across the resort.

The dining experience was a mixed bag, though it contained the highlight of our trip. The buffet was a 6.5/10, suffering from repetition and a lack of high-quality variety. As for the restaraunts the only poor experience was the Greek. Additionally, the snack areas offered very little for those with dietary restrictions. However, the resort excelled in its care for Celiacs. With two Celiacs in our party, the staff’s accommodation was at a minimum 9/10. Every chef was willing to speak with us and prepare dedicated gluten-free meals, providing immense peace of mind. Combined with the fantastic beach, the resort is a strong choice if it can improve maintenance.

The a/c in our room had issues and dripped heavily from the ceiling and on the wall, forming a very large and slippery puddle in the room that required us to throw towels over it, as it took 3 requests and over 6 hours to have it fixed. Most of the staff is not as friendly as you would expect to find at this type of resort, although there were a few standout staff members that were friendly and welcoming, but only at the Il Paradiso and Garden Circus restaurants. Many of the staff members appear to be lacking trainining or aptitude, as they are unable to answer basic questions regarding resort schedules, locations, etc. (if you ask different staff members the same question, you will get different answers from each one). VIP access was an issue, as staff members from other hotels were not aware of how it worked and they denied access the first couple of days of our stay. We had scheduled assistance with our luggage for checkout with the concierge, but nobody showed up and we had to carry our luggage down the stairs from the 3rd floor (there is no elevator in the building) and all the way to the other building where the lobby is. Overall, the place is very pretty and there is plenty of entertainment, but there were many details that could have been better.

Estamos súper, agradecidos mi familia y yo por la atención especial que nos brindaron todas las personas que estaban ahí en Bahía príncipe fantasía, especialmente Gavilin , Nelson , Rubén y todos con los que tuvimos contacto durante nuestras vacaciones. Todos fueron muy especial con nosotros. Tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar de tres hoteles aunque nos quedamos en fantasía pero tuvimos acceso a otros y todos están súper acogedores. Mi única sugerencia es que los cuartos necesitan una actualización para que sean cinco estrellas pero eso no es culpa del personal que trabaja ahí. Definitivamente lo recomiendo viaje con mis dos niños y mi madre y todo estuvo súper genial. Las acomodaciones y el trato. Muchas gracias a todos y espero volver pronto.

The best parts of the trip were the people. Dominican people love kids and most of them tried to make our son feel good and played with him so he had a great time.

Our room was cleaned very well. One weird part we noticed was that they didn’t really bother cleaning the stairs going up and down to our floor. We literally saw the exact same dead bugs in the same spot for the entire time there. That was odd as the room cleaning was great.

The best restaurants were Il Capricio and Le Gourmet. Great food and service.

The water park was lots of fun for our son and they had a few foam pool parties in the main pool, those were great fun.

Entertainment was good, although one negative experience for us was that when they had the kids parties, the music was way too loud. My Apple watch registered a peak of 107dB - sound at this levels will cause ear damage in minutes. I had to move our son away from the speakers as I was trying to protect his hearing.

Overall we enjoyed our time and would recommend this resort. It’s not perfect but nothing is, and we hope to be back one day.

From check out to check in, I can honestly say they have the friendliest and most helpful workers I’ve encountered at a resort. Their app made ordering room service and concierge a breeze! The room always clean when we came back from our day. The vendors there are not pushy at all and respect when you tell them you’re not interested. Also, this is a great resort especially if you have kids and you can access the other Bahia hotels pools and buffets as well which was nice- provided variety.

Juan helped me get immediate help when my wrist band would not work to let me in my room. Excellent staff! Resort was also amazing with the kids activities. Best family resort I've been to so far.

We had a very nice stay, staff was very helpful and nice, huge territory, great variety of restaurants, esp with Expedia upgrade giving access to all areas. Our room was close to the exit and it was rather noisy; the beach was rather crowded too.

Our stay was amazing, the staff was so nice and professional, Santa was the person who helped me at checking, very nice person, she was willing to help me with all my questions and concerns, I traveled with my parents and kids and she helped us with everything, she is one of the persons, I met at fantasia that would me make come back again, I want to mention gafitas too from the restaurant maiko he was a great guy and made us feel so comfortable and the food he cooked us was more than delicious.

En agosto de este año fuimos con mi familia a este hotel pensando que iban a se unas excelentes vacaciones y tuvimos Una mala experiencia .
Las instalaciones en algún momento fueron bonitas pero se nota la falta de mantenimiento, el servicio es malo el 90% de los trabajadores cuando le pedías algo todo era de mala manera , la barra que está en el lobby los bartender te atienden con actitud , los servicios que ofrecen de tour y taxi son una porquería ,quise hacer reservas para los restaurantes del hotel el día que llegue y ya no había más reservas en esa semana y luego uno pasaba por los restaurantes y estaban vacíos ,una construcción que están haciendo justo enfrente de la habitación continuamente haciendo ruido de mañana hasta la tarde , las playas sucias , la personas que manejan los golf car son imprudentes van rápidos y no les importa si uno va con niños y alguno con bebés , discutí con uno por qué casi se cayó mi hijo de carro por doblar fuerte , un desastre todo , no lo recomiendo fue una mala experiencia , tenía el servicio de transporte que ofrece el hotel se retrasó como media hora y casi pierdo mi vuelo de regreso

This hotel was a great stay for my family 5 as it focuses on the children mostly. The pool and beach area were great, very clean and the staff service i experienced was A1. Things I would like to make notice. Smoking in common areas is permitted and made my evening uncomfortable. The buffet’s food was good especially if you go right when they open. They do however need to upgrade their air conditioning, the heat was intolerable. As we were Expedia vip guest. We received 2 Expedia vip bbqs which was very nice, food was fresh and it was in a refreshing area.
Rooms were decent. I stayed in a double room with a crib and opened sofa bed. Lots of walking space even with all the extras. I do want to mention the double beds are full size not queen.
All in all I would recommend this hotel to family with children age 1-13 and ok with smoking.
I want to give a huge shout out to Juan Jose from family concierge and Orlando from our romantic dinner. Our stay was extra special thanks to them and their attention to details.

Food selections were repetitive. We basically had the same food everyday we stayed. All restaurants are “fully booked” for dinner during the 4 nights we were so we had no option but to go to the buffet. We were told to book dinner reservation through the app and the day we went, we checked but everything was booked until our last night so we couldn’t try any other food. On top of that we were supposed to have a room upgrade as a VIP, which we didn’t. It was nice environment. People were friendly but I didn’t feel like a “VIP” treatment was provided. We received the same service as others. I don’t know if we paid extra for the “VIP” service, if we did, I think we should be reimbursed. But anyways, it was nice.
