The Bottom Line: If you are strictly looking for an uninhibited, \"adults-only party vibe,\" Temptation delivers. If you expect true luxury, seamless service, or a relaxing beach vacation, look elsewhere.
The \"Dealbreakers\" (Service & Room Issues)
The Check-In Disaster: A one-hour wait followed by being assigned a room with literally no furniture is an unacceptable baseline for a resort claiming luxury status.
The Downgrade: After waiting hours and battling with Expedia, being placed in a partial ocean view room when you paid for a full ocean view is a bait-and-switch.
The \"Concierge\" Trap: Renaming high-pressure timeshare salespeople as \"concierges\" is a predatory tactic. Forcing a 2.5-hour pitch by plying you with shots, only to turn cold and rude when you say no, ruins the hospitality experience.
The Expedia Letdown: It is incredibly frustrating that Expedia wouldn't support a transfer when the hotel literally failed to provide a functional, furnished room.
The Resort & Amenities
The Beach (or lack thereof): The marketing pictures are misleading. The actual beach footprint is tiny/nonexistent.
The Pool (The Saving Grace): Large, lively, and genuinely fun. This is where the resort actually matches its party reputation. Service here was decent but not standout.
Food & The \"All-Inclusive\" Illusion
Nickeled and Dimed: True luxury all-inclusives include premium liquor and decent wine. Being restricted to bottom-shelf well liquor and facing constant upcharges for basic upgrade

I enjoyed myself. We met some great people. There was a party everyday. Loved the pool, where we spent most of our time while on the resort. The food was so-so but I don’t expect much when we go all inclusive. The entertainment crew was great! They all work very hard.
HOWEVER: The membership presentation portion of the trip put a small damper on our stay. They told us they needed an hour of our time to listen to their presentation but we were there over 2hrs. Was even told we wouldn’t receive our dinner voucher if we didn’t listen to a 3rd person trying to talk us into a membership. This was awful.

My husband and I stay in the Trendy Ocean View room. The view of the ocean was amazing to wake up to every morning while we stay for 4 night and 5 days. The music was a bit loud but it was expected being that our room was located in the bash area. Overall no complaints!!!

Absolutely fantastic trip from start to finish. We used a private transfer service from the airport to and from the resort. Location is a quick drive.
Upon arrival we were offered a welcome drink and our bags were taken and stored. Once we completed a quick check in our bags were retrieved and we were taken to our room. We stayed in the tower and it ended up being the perfect location and room. We had a beautiful ocean view and views of the boats as well as of the pool and bash area.
The room was absolutely huge and beautiful. Shower with rain showerhead and full size shampoo, body wash and conditioner. Double vanities - two good sized closets and drawers. There is also a tv but we never turned it on. Seating on the balcony and table was comfortable.
The pools were beautiful. We loved the large party pool but also went over to the quiet pool once. Bars opened at 10am at the pool and there was a snack bar at one end of the party pool which was delicious and the perfect reason to not have to leave the fun.
We ate in the buffet restaurant every morning. Service was wonderful and food was so good. We also had dinner at the steakhouse and the italian restaurant. We preferred the steakhouse. The seafood restaurant was closed two of the nights we were there and that is where we really wanted to try....next time.
Everyone on the staff was helpful, kind and appeared happy to be there! Overall everything was awesome we absolutely will be back for another trip.

No reserven la habitación Seduction sin verificar exactamente cuál les están asignando. La habitación que recibimos no correspondía a las imágenes publicadas. Pagamos USD 750 por noche esta categoría y la habitación parecía más bien una habitación de motel, además de no contar con balcón ni terraza como esperábamos.
Mi recomendación es que al momento del check-in lleven una foto de la habitación que desean y confirmen que les asignen exactamente esa categoría antes de aceptar la habitación. La diferencia entre lo mostrado en las imágenes y la realidad fue muy decepcionant

If your looking for an adult party this is wher it’s at. They do have some of the non conventional stuff but you definitely don’t have to partake . My boyfriend and I met some cool couples that were there just to have fun and nothing else . We were planning on attic only two nights and stayed a third.

The only thing I will do music in the party no later than 1 AM because it gets super loud and cannot sleep. Other than that. This is my 6th time vacationing there! Rooms are clean and amenities are good enough. It’s the best playground for adults only. Food is okay. My favourite restaurants are Sutra and Sea Flirt. The waiters and bartenders are the BEST!!! The playmakers know how to keep the party going.
My only minus point is the long survey they ask me to fill out when checking out. Hopefully I can opt out of doing that next time.

I thought everything would be inclusive, but not really, you have to pay for movies, some dishes like crabs or certain steaks. At the swimming pool they charge for the beds near by, to enjoy some of the amenities you have to buy a wine bottle, the app is horrible to book for 2 of the five restaurants. The shows are horrible, it should be noted everything inclusive because each night it cost around $700 + dollars.

We always have a great time staying at Temptation. The pool atmosphere is fantastic, and the Playmakers do an excellent job keeping everyone entertained—there’s never a dull moment! The restaurants offer very good food, and the service throughout the resort is consistently friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately, there are a few downsides. The beach has become quite small and is often covered with sargassum, which takes away from the overall beach experience. In addition, the water amenities that were once available—such as kayaks, paddleboards, and catamarans—have been removed, leaving little to do during the day other than spend time at the pool.

Another frustration is the restaurant reservation system. Certain restaurants now require reservations through an app, which would be convenient if it worked reliably. The process can be frustrating and could definitely use some improvement.

Overall, Temptation remains a fun and lively resort with a great atmosphere, but some of the changes have diminished the experience compared to previous visits.

We’re one and done.

We stayed at Temptation Cancun for 4 nights and expected much more considering we paid about a lot per night. We booked a Trendy Garden View room, and it was small, outdated, and in a building without an elevator. There was nothing special about it, especially for the price.

My husband and I are in our early 30s, and we didn’t enjoy the pool or night parties. The crowd was not what we expected, and most guests were much older. If you’re looking for a younger, high-energy atmosphere, this may not be the place for you.

The food was okay but nothing memorable. Sea Flirt was the only restaurant we truly enjoyed. The staff, however, were excellent. The waiters, bartenders, bellmen, and cooks were all friendly and provided great service.

The biggest issue was the VIP/Premier membership presentation. They tell you it’s only 30 minutes, but ours lasted nearly 3 hours. They seem to identify first-time guests by their wristband color and actively target them for these sales pitches.

Once you’re in their office, the pressure starts. They make a lot of promises and try hard to convince you to purchase a membership package that is really expensive. After reviewing the details and speaking with a lawyer friend, we found many loopholes and conditions that were not clearly explained. The sales team was extremely persistent and would not take no for an answer.

Be careful and don’t let them waste your vacation time. Just enjoy the resort and pool.

Checking in. Hotel staff didn't tell us to download the app upon check in. Would have been useful because everything you reserve you need the app. All activities in the hotel, you can find with the app. The furnishings are a little outdated, needs an upgrade. I was here 12yrs ago and it's getting a little run down but still a very nice hotel. People there are very nice and helpful. If you imagine yourself laying on a pristine beach relaxing on a nice sun chair, this place is not for you. The beach is bad and i dont think they don't clean the washed up sea grass like at most resorts. But if you like adults only activities by the pool, this is your place!

I love everything about this resort! Me & hubby Been here 7 times within 2 years. The food is awesome we usually do room service. Some of the restaurants you have to make reservations be careful with certain times like 7:30pm includes 1 bottle for $99 so please read the disclaimer. Flame, sea flirt, & Italian restaurants are all good places to eat. Don’t forget to check out the roof top pool & they also serve food as well. All cabanas are a one bottle minimum to book. We also went downtown which is about 10 min away driving they have all the clubs and a mall. It’s a tourists area which made it feel even more safe. They also have a 24 hr clinic across the street and 24hr pharmacy. And a shop where they sell liquor, junk food, souvenirs.

While the party atmosphere is good, it wasn’t without any problems. There is lots of room for potential here. Food was just OK. And rooms definitely need a lot of upgrading. Staff especially concierge seems to have no clue As far as pricing. We had an issue one day with that took forever to get resolved, but finally was. Some people very entitled here just because they think their members which was another issue. And the little groups of single men..

Did was delicious in all restaurants. The beach view is beautiful but there is a lot of seaweed. Bring your cup and straw if you want to keep your drinks cold and like to use a straw. Wait staff is always attentive. There is no one who serves the beach area. You have to go to the pool area to get drinks. The room was cleaned every day but my fridge wasn't filled every day.

booked our trip from airport to hotel thru USA transfers and would highly recommend

now for the negative:

the pool chair chase is crazy. we were told that the pool chairs were \"first come first served\"

towels don't become \"available\" until 7:00 am and yet when I arrived at the pool, earlier and earlier each day, all the seats around the pool had towels on them already.

Finally, after arriving at the pool at 6:00 am, I became aware that Lilly, the \"empress of terry cloth\" was taking towels off of chairs that had been out all night etc... and was putting towels out for the people who she had prearranged to \"save a space\"

She goes down every morning at 6:00 am and puts towels out for the people who have arranged to pay her for that service.

I asked her about this and she became very combative. She was not happy that her game and extra income had been exposed.

\"You dont see anything\" \"You Dont know nothing\" \"This is Mexico we run things here\",

Lots of drama but at least we figured out how to when it comes to the chair game.

If you are not willing to pay Lilly for the privilege, don't get snookered into the \"first come first served\" mirage.

Other than that, everything was great and professionally run.

Food was amazing. Drinks are great, real brands. Beach is 1/5. AC in room is (quite) powerful. Gym is well equipped. Animation at pool is fun. Water is warm. Restrooms nearby are handy. Night time shows are ok/good, some nights look more like a fashion show. Music was good for dancing most nights. Fun to dress up and see people dressed up for theme nights. Look up the themes and come ready, it’s worth it. Great vibes in the resort all around. No vendors. We had mosquitos only one evening, otherwise none. Made-to-order sushi by the pool in daytime, as well as the outdoor grill and little buffet at night were a nice touch. Evening party with loud music every night from 10 pm to 2 am. They provide earplugs in room, lol.
Staff is helpful and smiling and engaging. We did tip at meals, for drinks and for room cleaning, in pesos. USD is also ok.
Resort boutique is beyond expensive. We bought our souvenirs at the Mexican store across the street. Good selection but still pricey.
Quiet pool section had nice grounds and soothing music, but we didn’t spend time there.
You don’t go there for the beach or any aquatic sports or lush grounds and wildlife.
We would recommend the place and we would come back.

The garden view rooms are nice, and presumably a lot quieter than the tower. However everything echoes in the hallways, you will still get woken up. The quiet pool is nice and spacious and not a busy bar. The beach is horrible, and the small strips it's in has plants growing in it, with no waves at all. Each restaurant was typical food at resorts, they try and upsale everything to get a reservation. Pool parties didn't start until around 3pm. Night time parties dont start until 10pm. Roof top pool isn't worth anything extra, didn't pay to do that. It's the same atmosphere as quiet pool. The coffee bar was good, the entire resort smells amazing, needs were comfy and shower was hot and good pressure. Don't pack much if you aren't planning on leaving resort, you won't need it.
