I'm really surprised at some of the negative reviews. We had a nearly perfect visit. If I had to be nit picky, I would say there were times when our neighbors were loud and abnoxious late at night and yes the noise seemed to really carry. The shower temp would randomly change.. would be too cool then too warm.. hard to get the temp just right and keep it that way. All our interactions with the staff were really great. Food was not a problem and we were even able to make reservations at the a la carte restaurants pretty easily. Aside from the hotdogs and hamburgers at the beach bar, the food was really good! This was my first all-inclusive experience and I was pleased. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding several significant issues during our recent stay. While the hotel staff was polite and helpful where possible, the logistical failures severely impacted our vacation experience.
Key Issues Encountered:
Room Discrepancy & Downgrade: We booked and paid for upgraded rooms but were placed in a standard room with two double beds upon arrival. Although promised a switch the next day, we were not moved until the third day.
Service & Booking Disruptions: Due to being \"checked out and re-checked in\" daily while waiting for our room, we were unable to use the hotel’s restaurant reservation system. Consequently, we missed out on all but two specialty dining options.
Inaccurate Amenity Information: The website states the main buffet is open all day; however, it was only available for breakfast. While breakfast was excellent, the lack of lunch and dinner options was a major inconvenience.
Facility & Staffing Limitations:
Pool: The water was too cold to use, and there was zero seating available for parents to supervise children.
Bar Service: Guests were required to wait in long lines to order drinks before being allowed to sit at the bar, rather than being served while seated.
Club: The club was severely understaffed with only one bartender and had extremely limited seating.
Positives:
I want to acknowledge that the rooms themselves were great once settled, and the staff remained professional and polite despite these systemic issues.

The room seemed to be fairly clean, but only two flat pillows and only sheets on the bed. The shower and sinks were very old and the water smelled like corroded piping, did not enjoy the showers.
The room was very noisy with the adjacent rooms and hallway.
We enjoyed the beach, it was beautiful and clear water. However, we ended renting cabanas because the beach was public and was very overrun with families.
No beachchairs ever available.
The restaurants were great, with good service and excelllent food.
I enjoyed it for one stay but would not return.

We are a family of 6 and decided to try this one out for first time. Mind you we travel to Mexico yearly on vacation and have stayed at multiple resorts throughout the years. This one is by far the worst. The beach is dirty, water smells like gas from the near by marina and consistent yachts and jet skies taking off. The beach chairs are non existent unless you get there before 8am. You will find yourself feeling like sardine in a can. Overcrowded, people smoking on every corner, you basically reak of smoke and gas the entire stay. The restaurant and lobby reak of smoke as well. You can't enjoy the ocean breeze because it's practically non-existent. The beach view is ok only if you have a suite in the center of the building. The rooms are covered in mold and so is the bathroom. The walls are paper thin and you can barely get any rest. Morning expect loud noises starting at 6am and night all the way to 2am. Elevators are super small and packed. Have to consistently wait. We took the stairs from the 8th floor and it was much quicker. We stayed for 3 nights and wanted to leave after the 1st. The restaurants are mediocre at best and don't get me started on the long lines. If you don't get waiting at 5pm to be one of the first in line, good luck getting to eat when the restaurant opens at 6pm. The Asian restaurant maki taco was terrible and I mean terrible. Sushi, far from it. Waste of time waiting in line for. Oh and food poisoning!!! The sports bar is filthy. Run away!!!!

Food situation was terrible. You either had to wait in line for an hour or eat at bites or hacienda which gave almost my entire group of 15 food poisoning. The food itself was bad. Staff is pretty rude. Towel guy wouldn’t take towels at the end of the day because they had a policy that the couldn’t take towels back after 6 (it was 6:15), so what the hell are we supposed to do if it were our last night? The layout of the hotel is cramped and the rooms are dated. The hotel is slowly falling apart and on our last morning two elevators broke down and we were on the 7th floor and had to take the stairs. This place is terrible. The beach was half decent though and there were two restaurants, cocoa and miramar that weren’t bad for lunch, otherwise this would be 1 star.

No wait service at pools or beach.
Crazy long lines for restaurants.
Reused plastic cups at bars even with tons of sick people at the resort. We all got sick.
No real butter to put on bread. If all else fails my kids will eat bread & butter but we did not have that option. They gave us a margarine that my kids spit out.
No place in lobby/waiting area to sit.
There were so many not great things, but the worst may have been how difficult it was to feel comfortable and relax. You had to work and or wait for everything.
Most staff did not help.
However Juan and Yosiel were great at the restaurants!!!
Will choose differently for a better experience next time we go.

Our entire group got really sick in our stomach’s , and many others at the hotel were sick as well. We saw people everywhere walking around with pedialite and the bathrooms were constantly busy with people being sick as well. It was gross. There was no sanitizer anywhere and it spread like crazy. Whether it was food, water or cleanliness we’re not sure, but it felt like the entire hotel was contaminated. In addition the food was Luke-warm everywhere and unappetizing, rooms were dated with really small beds and no balconies, and the resort claimed to be great for kids but there were few kids activities other than the drop off kids club and the shows were so late at night it was difficult for the kids to make them. There were hardly any chairs around the pool and not good common areas to hangout. We definitely will not go back.

Had the most beautiful experience for my first time in Mexico !! Spent 10 days here for my honeymoon and it was so peaceful and amazing!! The Miamar has amazing food especially the breakfast ! And the los agaves is amazing for dinner (ate there almost every night we loved it so much) the bartenders are amazing especially Adrian! He remembered me and my husband every time and was so happy and helpful with new drinks to try!! Would definitely recommend and come back any day!

I recently stayed here and overall had a pleasant experience. The property is clean and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is relaxing. The staff were friendly and attentive, and check-in was quick and smooth. The room itself was comfortable, with everything I needed for a short stay.

That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some of the amenities felt limited, and the room could use a bit of updating. A little more attention to detail especially with maintenance.

It’s our 2nd vacation We had a wonderful time at this all-inclusive resort.
The food was delicious so many options to choose form and the staff very friendly all the time, they really make you feel welcome.They went out of their way to help me celebrate my birthday! The staff were all very nice, welcoming, and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I also want to thanks the concierge Kayla, she very wonderful and very friendly was hospitable and made me feel special every day I was there I will definitely be back I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation .❤️

Despite booking an upgraded room (Jr suite) at The Sens Cancun by Oasis, the hotel failed to deliver multiple key services and amenities as advertised. This includes:

* A broken hot tub that was never repaired ( we did speak to guest service and advise of this)
* A broken shower ( advised guest services)
* A room without a balcony, contrary to what was promised and paid for
* No room cleaning or towel service over 6 nights
* No restocking of the minibar, no water, snacks, or basics ( unable to even get water or coffee until after 7:30 am daily)
* Inaccessibility to the restaurants and resort facilities despite advertised availability
* Frequent broken elevators, filthy public restrooms, closed pools
*misleading or conflicting staff communication ( one person in our party was told to book beds at 8am, I was told 7am only to get down at 7 and they tell us sorry we sold out at 6am.
* The adult swim up bars were flooded with kids. We actually never used those pools. While the adult pool upstairs was vacant we could use those however the times of service were limited and served warm beer when opened. As well as it was secluded and no view of the ocean.

These issues were not isolated incidents—they were systemic and persistent throughout the entire stay and severely impacted the quality and value of the trip. I would never stay here again or recommend. Once we checked in they no longer cared about anything as they already were paid in full.

We booked 6 rooms for 6 nights and walked away with 6 days of regret.

One of the rooms was the Master Suite, chosen specifically for the jetted tub on the balcony — only to find out it had no hot water, making it completely unusable. Strike one.

Another major reason we booked this hotel was the advertised room service. But upon check-in, we were told it didn’t exist. That’s not just disappointing — it’s flat-out false advertising.

Things got worse. The dinner hall had roaches visibly running around. Coffee and bottled water weren’t available until well after 7:30am, even though the coffee shop was listed to open earlier. The swim-up bar was overrun by kids, which made the “relaxing resort” experience feel more like a poolside daycare.

To top it off, the staff — from bartenders to front desk — were consistently unfriendly and unhelpful. Everything shut down by around 9 p.m., and there wasn’t even a vending machine to grab a snack.

Before booking, we were told this hotel was great for large groups — we were a group of 15 — but not once were we accommodated for anything: no help booking dinners, shows, or even basic coordination.

Bottom line? We wouldn’t stay here again, and we definitely don’t recommend it.

This was our second time staying at this resort and we enjoyed every second of it!! Upon arrival we had a VIP check in, fast and prompt. We arrived early and although the check in was not until 3 pm, we were able to use all amenities right away.
Excellent room service, our room was cleaned every day, and mini bar refilled with water, sodas and beer. Food was great, wide variety of meals, fresh and delicious ! Many restaurants to choose from, offering delicious specialties, our favorite was the White Box. Open buffet all day provided great options for adults and kids. The coffee place was exceptional!!! Fast and polite staff. Entertainment was ok, but the highlight was that resort offers free supervised and very safe kids club, which was priceless, so my husband and I were able to enjoy lunch alone, and relax at adults only pool sections. Pools are great, few to choose from, amazing views from every corner! The only downside is that the beach does not have enough lounges and chairs. I wasn’t impressed by the beach because of the seaweeds, but thats typical for Cancun at this time.
Overall, we had a great stay and would love to return again!

This hotel is completely different than what is told you have included!!! This all-inclusive hotel that does not have room service nor have any food options after 1030pm! They have some garbage late night food which is the same everyday!! Burgers,hot dogs nachos or fries!! None of the food is edible. There only 1 of 2 bars open after 9pm on the entire property. The beds were completely horrible and felt like sleeping on a rock. I asked for them to change my mattress yet they never did (2nd day of vacation) I also complained multiple times about this and yet nothing done just pushed aside. The service on site was terrible not only the restaurants and the buffet . Every bar and restaurant was understaffed and took forever to get drinks and order any food togo. The gift shops closed very early no vending machines or anything beside going offsite for food or basic drinks . The Wi-Fi only really worked when you were close to the lobby. There’s many other problems I had with this property and no compensation for any issues on an expensive hotel.

My toilet didn’t work meaning didn’t flush since I checked in for my daughter’s birthday. The resort was nice. The rooms were not updated and the pool really needs to be retiled. It’s not accesible for people with disabilities or older people as there are tons of steps and stairs that aren’t too noticeable sometimes and they have very slippery types of flooring. They aren’t very welcoming upon reception, but other staff are really nice. Time share people are setup right in front of elevators so they can stalk you every time you go to your room. The resort also needs more and bigger elevators.

However, the food at the restaurants are amazing! We ate dinner at Cocoa twice! You use the app to make dinner reservations, but many restaurants are also open for breakfast and lunch and you don’t need a reservation then. I love how you have many options because of the attached sister hotel next door. The shows at night were wonderful as well. The Mexico show was beautiful as well as the Afro acrobats and fire show. Being that it’s sargassum season, it was nice to have that clean beach area that was shallow with minimum waves. The resort is also next to the Xcaret Ferry so we were able to walk there and catch the ferry to spend a day in Isla Mujeres and then walk back. There is pharmacy, a store, and a taco place right across which was handy. The public transportation bus stop is nearby as well which helped us visit other beaches in Cancun one day as well. The resort also has a great coffee shop includedIt was a great resort catering to families. Not a crazy party resort.

Pretty nice and average all inclusive. What made me give this a poor rating is their customer service. When I’m on vacation at an all-inclusive on a beachfront, I’d like the service to be top-notch. Anytime we were at the restaurants or ordering food and beverages. It felt like we were bothering them. They were either in a rush or they wouldn’t ask us if we wanted more water or it was a hassle to get something. It happened on a few occasions so it wasn’t a one time thing. Getting a bottle of water shouldn’t be a big deal.

This resort deserves 0 stars. Expedia should not even have it listed on their site. It is an unsafe hotel—mold on the walls, broken
Stuff, including bed, dirty bathrooms and bedrooms, old furniture, and humidity everywhere. It’s unsafe for everyone, especially for people with any lung condition. Please do not stay here.

I booked through Expedia and selected “child” for my 13-year-old daughter. When I arrived at the hotel, they made me pay over $400 extra because they consider a 13-year-old an adult. This extra fee is not mentioned on the Expedia app at the time of booking. The hotel claims it’s part of their policy, but the fee and age rule are not mentioned in the policy they send after booking either.

According to the hotel, guests aged 13 and older are considered adults only need to pay extra at the hotel. They are still not allowed in the jacuzzi area, not allowed to have their own room key, and treated as minors for everything else. Except for charging.

Check-in is listed as 3 PM, but my room wasn’t ready until 4 PM, and my luggage didn’t arrive until 45 minutes later.

I do not recommend this hotel. It’s the worst I have ever stayed in, and I will not be coming back.

Expedia and the hotel need to clarify all extra fees and update their policy descriptions. I escalated this issue with Expedia, but of course, they sided with the hotel.

And for the hotel, please update your room photos, so everyone that will be booking have an idea of what to expect.

Great hotel, lots of day use on Sunday which made the hotel very busy and service very bad.
Restaurant service is horrible compared to the other times I went there.

The food at the buffet and reservation system is terrible. We went to Miramar and it was excellent, but stayed four days and that was the only good meal we could get. The all inclusive food was hard to learn and buffet has controlling hours and not great food. The outdoor snacks had a long line and were not edible. I ended up ordering Costco with ubereats so we would have food in the room. Go to the front desk and get reservations the night before for every single meal, the system doesn’t even confirm it right away - they’re basically hoping you won’t put the effort in and will eat at the limited buffet times. Go out early to get chairs by the beach in the shade. If you don’t use the reservation system and actually get meal times approved, you might as well stay at the hotel next door for half the price as they share pools and owned by the same company. We liked the resort and had a wonderful time going to the pirate ship show (the one you pay for as an excursion). This location doesn’t seem to have as many outside tourists as the more popular areas of Cancun, more locals. The hammocks were a huge hit with the kids and they enjoyed getting ice cream at the coffee shop when it was open.

I was a bit apprehensive to stay here because of all the negative reviews, but we stayed at the Sens and it was better than expected. The room was an average hotel room. The staff were great! There were enough restaurants to try out. The food was average, the buffet was on par with what you would expect from a buffet. The White Box Gastrobar was our favourite spot to eat. The Downsides were that there was no room service and the beach chairs get filled up by 8:30 AM. Overall, it was a great experience for my family (wife and 2 daughters aged 6, 9). I would definitely consider coming back here again, especially for the price point.

My family and I came here for Spring Break, stayed 5 days. Keeping in mind it was going to be busy and it was. I have stayed at many other resorts in Cancun and this was not a very good one compared to the other ones. Pros- The food was good and the kitchen staff was very attentive and helpful, buffet had lots of different options. Kids had fun at the kid’s pool area and watching the shows (wish they weren’t so late at night) It was fun to watch all of the boats come in an out while swinging in the hammocks. Cons- The resort was dirty, I Noticed they didn’t have many trash cans and there was trash everywhere. People would leave trash in plants by the pool, in front of their room doors that would sit all day. They seemed short staffed every Bar only had one Bartender with long lines and no one to clean the tables or bar area for new people. Getting a chair on the beach was nearly impossible as they don’t have very many. There were people on the beach selling things, we would say no Thank you and had two different guys responded inappropriately back to us. Biggest complaint is they had construction going all day everyday while we were there very noisy. We didn’t get to check out the Spa or a couple of the restaurants due to needing reservations not working out. This place is good if you want to go on the cheaper side you do get what you pay for. But if you want to relax and enjoy the beach and peace and quiet this is not the place for you.

I loved the staff and the food the bartenders were amazing the only thing is that when u get picked up for excursions or transportation you have to go to the other building which can be confusing and there’s also one atm in the main building . The convenient store inside the hotel is very expensive so be sure to just use it for emergency’s other then that I love my experience .

First of all would like to mention for others that hotel consist of 2 different properties combined together Sens and Oasis. Lobby looks like anyone can come in and out no security or checking if you stay there or you don't. Upon check-in I was told that I still owe environmental tax and the only proof they can show me is their own website. I was just in Cancun in October and no one ever asked me for that tax, so I was surprised. I googled it and it's an actual thing but the tax is only one dollar room per night I was staying for 3 nights so should be 4.50 for each room I booked 2 rooms. They told me I have to pay 57 usd for 2 rooms. When I told them that the information they telling me don't match the official information they kept telling me to go to the website of their hotel to get information and kept playing dumb like he don't know what google is or the official Mexican Visitax website I showed him is. Basically they running their own scam. Then they messed up my booking I booked 2 double bed rooms but they only gave me 1 double and 1 king. Rooms are outdated, some outlets don't work or charge your phone way longer than it usually takes. Bathroom hot water was on and off sometime it works sometime it doesn't one of the sinks water barely was flowing same thing with shower. Maybe it's pity but TV all chanells were in Spanish not a single English channel, not the case in other resorts I stayed in Cancun or DR. Overall 2 stars for this hotel staff was nice though.
