It's an amazing nice property. We stayed all the time inside and never got bored. We stayed 5 days. Activities throughout the days and evenings. Staff were always welcoming, helpful and always full of smiles
The property was very well maintained and cleanliness was a very noticeable feature.
We recommend the place if you just want to forget all about the outside world.

We just got back from our stay at Riu Caribe and I can't recommend it enough. This place exceeded our expectations in every way.

There was something for everyone, between the pools, the activities, and the beach, we were never bored. As parents, it was such a relief to relax knowing they were happy.

The food was fantastic, with plenty of variety to keep everyone satisfied. The picky eaters and the two vegans found something at every meal. The pools were clean and never too crowded. The beach had soft white sand and clear water.

The best part was the staff. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for throughout our entire stay. By the second day, we already made friends with multiple staff members.

If you're looking for a family-friendly getaway with amazing food, beautiful surroundings, and staff who treat you like family, Riu Caribe is the place to be. We can't wait to come back!

We had a lovely stay at Riu Caribe. The staff were very friendly, especially Javier at the front desk. The check-in process was smooth, and Javier gave us a very detailed explanation of everything we needed to know.

We arrived at the hotel early and expected to wait a few hours until our rooms were ready. My mum has mobility issues, and the early flight had been quite difficult for her. Javier went the extra mile and managed to get one of our two rooms ready early so she could rest and enjoy the start of her stay with less discomfort. We really appreciated his kindness and effort.

In terms of amenities, I was a little disappointed that some essentials I would normally expect from a five-star hotel, such as slippers and toothbrushes, were not provided. I understand this may be for environmental reasons, but it would be helpful if guests were reminded in the pre-check-in emails so they can bring their own.

The food options were diverse, which was great. However, some dishes were either too salty or too sweet. Overall, the food was okay, but there is room for improvement.

The beach was awesome: wide, clean, and very easy to access. It was also convenient to get beverages nearby.

The parties were great as well, with four different themed parties throughout the week. I only wish I could have stayed longer!

The swimming bar was nice. Pros: location, location, location - great beach, beautiful views, calmer surf and almost no sea weed. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nightly entertainment was a fun extra that I was not expecting. Plenty of activities if you are willing to participate. Drinks are good and strong. We had a Jr Suite that was worth the cost for the upgrade. Nice sized room with a huge balcony. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The parties are fun if that’s your thing. Good DJ’s and entertaining dancers, top notch performers and good overall production. It’s far enough away that if you don’t go it’s not overwhelming to the rest of the property. Cons: the food is not great! Buffett is pretty good, the other restaurants were all disappointing. Several include buffets too. Steak restaurant is outside so a little warm and very limited options. I stayed at a different all
Inclusive a couple of years ago and the food was amazing. It’s not here. Very disappointed that there is no room service. The heat and serve snacks in the sports bar was not a great. Pool food was below average. Almost nothing served to order, pre-made stuff. It’s hit or miss at best. One other frustrating part was they didn’t seem to answer the phone. Called the front desk to get extra pillows and had to go down to get help. Overall, ok property for a budget friendly traveler, that wants a great beach, that is ok with average food. We likely would not stay at this property again.

The resort is very nice,very lively, great food, great staff. Our only issues were 1. Our room, one the second night the ceiling onto of our toilet started leaking. They did fix that the same day, 2 days later isn't was again leaking. This would not been a major deal, but considering most rooms are identical, the leaking prob came from the toilet above ours. Also if you have small children, (we did not) MANY women were wearing thong bikinis, so if you dont want your kids to see alot of bare butt, I would find a more family appropriate resort. Overall we had ALOT of fun, weather was great, water was clear, cleaning Staff was great.

The beaches were fantastic, the pools were bathwater warm, the staff while adequate, just didn’t seem to engage with guests as well as other resorts I’ve been to. The vacation was great, but I was not thrilled with the food or the selection. Again, it’s a resort, the weather was perfect, we never waited for drinks, the rooms were cleaned daily..while it wouldn’t be my first choice, I wouldn’t stay home if it was my only choice

Entertainment at the pool was too loud.
No bar service at the beach, so if you are at the beach far from the pool bar (up the stairs), you won’t get many drinks/food through the day, unless you keep walking back and forth.

I don’t even know where to start this review. This was my second time staying at RIU Caribe, and let me tell you, the way they continue to raise the bar is unbelievable! The hotel has had upgrades since my last visit, and everything is even better now.

The food was AMAZING, and the staff was WONDERFUL, everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our room was very clean, and even the linens smelled amazing.

The hotel offers incredible activities, and the pool party was such a great surprise with so much entertainment and fun energy.

It was my husband’s first time there, and he can’t stop talking about it or planning our next trip back to this resort. I’m so happy I chose to return to RIU Caribe. It truly offers a complete experience.

Riu Caribe is a great property to stay. You have everything in the vicinity restaurants, bar, beach, Riu parties. We stayed for four days and really enjoyed our entire stay.
Riu party was a good experience.
Would recommend going on the right of the property for a cheap massage place by the ocean. Ask for Miguel, he gave us couple massage for $120 USD.
If interested try the jet ski place next to massage place and also the restaurant on the shore, we had amazing shrimp tacos. Their food was better than food at Riu. But at Riu you get a lot of variety.

For Food Lovers- Coral buffer food is good, it just makes you eat a lot as they have everything that you can think of for breakfast.
Do not try Margarita- their food is very mid, don’t know why they would do that to their own cuisine.
Stakehouse is really good, do try that place once.

We booked two rooms, each with two double beds but one of the rooms we got had only a king size bed. Instead of finding us another room with two double beds, we had to get another single bed rolled in. One of the rooms constantly smelled like mold. As an all-inclusive, the hotel is not a great option for anyone planning on doing lots of early morning excursions as no real food options were available before 7:00 am. Yes, you can pick up a ready made sandwich, some unhealthy danish/muffin options, fruit and a drink from the 24 hour buffet, but these options are not great, especially for vegetarians and if you are concerned about the safety of uncooked fruits and vegetables. Also, the quality of drinks and food were just average, with sugary syrups used instead of juice in the fancy drinks and grissly/fatty meats.

The pools and setting were terrific of course but it would be nice if someone actually monitored the hallways to keep people quiet during sleep hours. Every night we could hear the voices of excited party folks reverberating around the concrete hallways, had drunken fools knock on the 'wrong' door in the middle of the night, or had someone pull the fire alarm. This did not make the hotel a restful place. I thought by picking a hotel that included families that it wouldn't be such a party hotel but that was not the case.

We've been to this hotel multiple times. We love the property, the staff and the vibes. As we dine out often when visiting Cancun, we were never picky when it came to the food. We were however very pleased to find that this resort has now checked this box to make it perfect. We found ourselves on multiple occasions rushing back to make dinner at the hotel! On another note, I had ordered flowers and balloons for our anniversary. The flower delivery service I hired was very difficult to communicate with and the delivery took place after we had left for the day on an excursion. Upon returning to the hotel, we found that the staff had received the deliver and brought it to our room. They also filled the room and bed with flower petals. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I totally suggest this hotel. Events are great, staff are friendly and room is always clean.
As a vegan I searched a lot for food info and did not find much in reviews, so here is my review on food in detail:
If you are vegetarian, you're fine. There is plenty of food for you. For vegans, there are less options but still a lot to have:
Fruits, vegetables are always fresh and plenty. There are 4 restaurants:
At Shangri-la you can get different types of vegetable rice/noodles and vegetable curries.
At Kulinarium you can try a nice vegan dish with rice, cooked vegetables and tofu
I did not try Margaritta since the menu included mainly sea food.
At the main self service restaurant (steak house) there is always something new every day, as a vegan you may enjoy fries, wedges, lots of different stir fried vegetables, curries, vegetable soup, vegetable rice, pastas, many delicious vegan dips and cooked black beans (must try!) and fruits and salads. no vegan dessert or plant based milk is available though.
In general, I would go back to this hotel again as I enjoyed the variety of food!

I have been coming to the Riu Caribe since 2014, and there is a reason I remain a loyal customer: they treat you like a person, not just a number. From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel truly special.
The check-in process was seamless. Valeria took excellent care of us and was absolutely great. I also want to give a special mention to Karen, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. It was my sister and brother-in-law’s first time visiting Cancun, and my parents were celebrating their 58th wedding anniversary, so having that extra level of care meant the world to us.
The resort itself is fantastic, featuring:
Modern Accommodations: The rooms are consistently clean and updated.
Prime Location: Beautiful, direct access to the beach.
Excellent Dining: A wide variety of delicious drinks and food options.
Atmosphere: The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, contributing to a fun, lively energy throughout the property.
If you are looking for an all-inclusive experience where the service is as high-quality as the views, I cannot recommend Riu Caribe enough. We will definitely be back!

The rooms need to be upgraded their very basic. The Asian restaurant and Mexican restaurant is good the steakhouse was mid. They have food at night in the sports bar but it looked old a picked through. Drinks were watered down, breakfast buffet was probably the best food they had during the day. Bought an excursion while I was at the hotel and let me tell you I wish I hadn’t. Went to Isla Mujeres on the Catamaran the view was nice from the boat but that was it. It came with a buffet and the flies ate the food before us, when I bought the excursion they said it came with transportation, but on my way back to the pier they told me I had to walk back to my hotel which I had to end up paying $13 for a taxi for a 5 minute ride.

This resort was very clean. Staff were amazing and nice. This is a party hotel, so if you don’t like parties or loud music this won’t be the place for you. We brought our 2 children and we had no problems with noise when our sound machine was on in the room. But we were not over the “riu party pool”. Expedia gives an Option for “2 queen beds” this resort only has king bed options or 2 fulls. We were a little disappointed we didn’t have 2 queens, but it worked out. The food and drinks were good! Highly recommend getting travel insurance, our toddler had a respiratory emergency and we got care from the doctor at the resort as well as the emergency room in Cancun.

I had the time of my life! I travelled alone and requested a beautuful ocean view as it was my birthday. I was STUNNED at the gorgeous 9th floor view of the ocean, nearby RIU hotel and the pool paty area underneath. I had room 918. The bar pool was lively, Pepe's food was excellent there as well (tacos, burgers, hotdogs, fries). The beach water was crystal clear on the Saturday and by Sunday there was some seaweed, but nothing to trouble you. I was totally at peace.

The themed parties were real vybes with fantastic music, great drinks, foam and fun overall. All servers at the buffet, pool bar, other bar near the pool and sports bar were super friendly and helpful. I only went to one live show at Calypso and it was a mix of 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s musical lip sync performances. It was so much fun and i was singing along. The Asian restaurant Shangri La was decent, while the buffet had fabulous food everyday. The steak at the steakhouse however, was average at best. I still can't get over the amazing views and beauty of the resort.

The rooms did not come with toiletries. The sheets were stained and not changed the entire week. My father had $150 stolen from his jacket pocket and they did nothing about it. There was a cockroach crawling on the bowls near the oatmeal and soup station. The property itself was well kept and maintained but I was not impressed with the hotel rooms or food. The food served outdoors was literally the same every day (soggy chicken nuggets, fries, chips, and fruit) and the buffet and restaurant food was not good. The pastries all tasted like refrigeration and the types of food offered were the same daily. Staff were friendly and location was nice. Overall, a 2-3 star experience

All around a great hotel. Has all that you need and more if you want to party without leaving the hotel. Staff was helpful and super friendly. Would recommend !

Not one of my favorite RIU Hotels. When we arrived, the room we requested was not available. The people at the front desk acted like this was an inconvenience for them! Instead, they gave us an adjoining room. I did not realize at the time, this meant we would be sharing with a total stranger with only a door separating us! The first family was loud and kept us awake until 4am. every night.
On the last day, the east pool was closed for repair. The swim up bar got shut down because someone had vomited inside the pool. A couple hours later, someone vomited in that pool and instead of shutting it down, the hotel crew took buckets and scooped out the vomit and tossed it to the outside of the pool!
On a positive note, the bartenders and the Sports Bar were very friendly. Public bathrooms were always clean and the cleaners aways greeted you with a smile.

This is the forth time here and I was pleasently surprised at the renovations that were done since the last time we were here. Always loved this place because of the location, great food, and at a resonable price.This time the food was at another level. Best buffet I've ever been to for all inclusive. We always get the ocean front because there's just nothing better than that view from the balcony.
Unfortunatly when we left my wife left her Ipad in the room and we didn't realize it until we were at the airport. We contacted the hotel and they told us when we get back home to phone them. We did that and were able to have it sent back home via their instructions.I have to thank them so much for their cooperation in making this possible.Definitely will return again soon.

Just returned from a spring break trip. 2 adults & 4 kids age 10-14. We had a great time. I read through many reviews before we traveled and had concerns going into the trip as a result - I want to address some of those here.

This resort has a \"party\" Tuesday - Saturday at a pool on the far side of the resort. On weeknights, the party wraps up in the early evening and we wouldn't have known there was one going on other than the stream of people leaving. Our first night (Saturday) we could hear the distant thumping of bass all night and even after dawn... our rooms were on the far side of the resort, as far from the party pool as possible, and we believe this noise was from a club off-site and unrelated to the pool parties. Kids didn't hear it. Woke me up a couple times. So, no issues with the parties - there are definitely middle-aged adults making awful life decisions as you'll see in any Cancun resort, but that was not front and center.

Clean resort, clean rooms. The double beds are definitely on the small side but our kids were happy to trade that sleeping experience for beautiful days on the beach. I wish the beds were larger but it wouldn't prevent me from coming back.

Food was really good. We tried Shangra-La (Asian) and Margarita (Mexican) and both were excellent. Staff was kind and funny, interacted with the kids and helped them practice their Spanish. The buffet was huge and had a massive variety of food that slightly changed each day.

We had a great time!
