The food options are not good for a property like the W. The three restaurants do not offer any food that's considered fine dining. The drinks at the pools are awful and the options are limited. The Outpost Cafe was the highlight of the trip everything there was great. I would get rid of Scena all the food we ordered were not good at all. The breakfast at the Trade market was excellent. Taman Beach club was ok. We had a reservation for Satsuma rooftop at 7pm on Saturday 6/13/26 and when we showed up the restaurant was closed and we were never notified.

I had the most incredible experience at the W Hotel, and a huge part of that was thanks to the amazing staff. Rhomer, Santo, Francisco, Jeremy, Diamond, Thomas, Roman, and Nicholas the Chef all went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable.

From the moment I arrived, everyone was warm, welcoming, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making sure every guest had an amazing time. The energy they brought every day was contagious, the activities were so much fun, and the overall vibe was absolutely unmatched.

A special thank you to Nicholas the Chef, who went out of his way to prepare kosher meals for me. That level of care, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail meant so much and made me feel truly valued as a guest.

The drinks were fantastic, the atmosphere was incredible, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. This team is the definition of hospitality. Thank you all for making my trip so memorable—I can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Room service even comes 3x a day!

W Punta Cana is one of the newer resort in the area. Overall, my wife and I had a wonderful stay. The staff at this resort are amazing. You get the true, Dominican warmth with each interaction. Special shoutout to the staff conducting the activities at the main pool, bartenders at Wet Bar and The Plaza, bell guys, room service crew, and cleaning crew. Our room was always spotless with sufficient towels and toiletries during our stay. The DJ and entertainment crew at 33 1/3 speakeasy did an amazing job as well.

Overall, I give the resort a 8.5 out of 10. Like everything, there is always room for improvement especially at a newer resort. The two areas that are very important at an all-inclusive are food and alcoholic beverages. The food was overall good, but needs a bit of improvement. You are visiting the DR, I feel like there should be more traditional dishes with more flavor/seasoning. Food tended to be a bit bland at times. Lastly, the consistency of the drinks and availability of certain premium brands. Whisky, tonic and lime should taste the same at every location you order from, but that was not the case with several of the drinks. Also, some drinks and liquors would be available for example at the pool, but not at The Plaza.

Overall, I would definitely come back and I would recommend this resort to family and friends. I believe management and staff are working hard to improve and live up to the Marriott brand. Cheers to a wonderful stay!

We booked the W Punta Cana for a quick anniversary getaway. The staff was extremely helpful from start to finish. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The restaurants offer a good variety of options and we enjoyed each different experience. They have two different pools for two different vibes but the daily entertainment was fun at the main pool. What we liked best about the property was how pleasant and accommodating everyone was. They helped me plan my engagement while there and were really helpful. “Cappuccino” and Baby A were super outgoing and always let us know the daily activities there, which was always had a variety of unique things going on. We also had the opportunity to meet a corporate employee, Dasa whom we chatted with a few times, she was the best. We will be back soon for sure! Absolutely recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself. This trip was about relaxation and that’s exactly what I did! What truly stood out to me was the customer service. They all had great customer service from the check in process and assisting with bags to the entertainment. They truly make the effort to accommodate you! Most of my meals were decent but did lack a bit in seasoning. I also felt the experience with the cabana rental could’ve been better. The menu is limited and your waitress is also assisting others so it doesn’t feel any different than sitting in the regular pool chairs. I would love to see them make that experience feel more elevated so people want to pay the extra to have the “cabanas”. A few of the staff stood out, Diamond, Baby A, James (LeBron), and the check in team were all amazing! The ladies that assisted at Noodles also were great! I absolutely loved the dancers by the pool during the pool party as well as the “Divas” performance. They also had a birthday cake set up in my room at arrival with an handwritten note! Overall, I had a great time and the staff is truly where this resort shines!

The W Punta Cana is a beautiful resort. Enjoyed our swim out room. Room was beautiful, clean and very large. For those interested in swim out rooms, it is not connected to the main pool and you cannot swim out to the swim up bar. We actually enjoyed a more private spot to ourselves. It was a great room to have as one of the main pools was closed for a private event for one day. Enjoyed room service as it is included in your all inclusive package. Restaurants are delicious! The rooftop restaurant is such a beautiful spot! Wish this spot was open more often and for more time of the day. It looks like a spot for a day time party/brunch. We did not partake in the sushi. We heard rumors people were getting sick, so we did not chance it. We did not get sick from any of the restaurants. The Noodle Bar was our favorite! Food is very delicious! They have great bar tender in there! She’s very attentive! The beach restaurant was nice, but you do pay extra for some dishes. Living room bar is hit and miss. The bartenders seem overwhelmed even with just a handful of guests. The coffee shop was a nice touch as it had snacks, quick grab and go bites and PLENTY of water. The speakeasy was more of a club experience. For a W and Marriott nametag, I expected more from the staff. They were nice, opportunities to be more attentive and more organized are certainly there. Overall we enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely time. Would potentially go back, but I would explore other resorts first.

Overall, this is a great hotel. The staff is professional, attentive, and genuinely courteous. Architecturally, the property is stunning, and it’s kept spotless every single day. The spa is a must—skipping it would honestly feel like missing part of the experience.

The food overall was good, though Scena wasn’t our favorite. That said, we tried all the restaurants, and that one just didn’t stand out to us—others might feel differently.

If you’re looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting with top-tier amenities, this is definitely the place. The adults-only atmosphere is a big plus.

In my opinion, it’s absolutely worth visiting. If you want a super detailed breakdown, this isn’t that—but if your goal is to relax, unwind, and enjoy a well-maintained, upscale hotel, just book it.

The property itself is beautiful, and the food was consistently good, and it is very easy to get a spot by the pool, which made for an enjoyable overall experience. That said, the service could be a bit inconsistent at times. There were several corporate events during our stay that limited access to certain restaurant spaces, and the rooftop was closed for private events on two out of five nights.
We also encountered a few minor room issues, such as a leaking shower door and patio doors that didn’t seal properly. Additionally, the app frequently changed restaurant hours, which made planning meals somewhat challenging.
Overall, I would rate the stay a 6.5 out of 10. With a few improvements to service consistency, communication, and room maintenance, this property has the potential to easily be an 8 out of 10 experience.

Our stay at the W Punta Cana was far from ideal. While the property's design is beautiful and fitting of a luxury hotel, our group of ten experienced severe health and hygiene issues. On our last day, five people in our party suffered from severe diarrhea; we strongly suspect that the freshness or quality of the food was compromised. Furthermore, six members of our group broke out in red rashes, and five people sustained numerous bite marks that strongly resemble bedbug bites

W is a kind of action party vibe brand with music speakers and noise everywhere, even at the “quiet” pool. Not somewhere if you want tranquil relaxation. Building is a deep. V to the sea so ocean view is a side view. Non ocean view rooms look on to neighbouring vegetation. Chef is a highlight - food high standard in all restaurants though perhaps would become limited after a while. Some really great members of staff - others still learning.

The property was very clean and the place has a few activities to do but I felt like the staff wasn’t very knowledgeable on any recommendations if you wanted to step off the resort. They don’t have a taxi service either where to call. Sometimes you ask a staff a question and 5 other staff get involved to figure things out. They almost charged double for my sister small stay. Better and propped hospitality training needs to happened here. Also there was a bartender that seemed bother or spaced out whenever I would ask for a drink. I’m not sure if I would come back here.

We had an amazing experience here as three girlfriends on a Birthday getaway. I was many times in Punta Cana and officially this is the first time I have actually enjoyed the food here! Recommend this hotel for sure. Talking about staff we received an excellent from Andy (arrival), Carlos(Scena restaurant) and Alta Gracia (Spa).They were sweet, helpful and professional. But do not book excursions with Camilo. We had a very shady experience with him. Room are great too. huge beds and amazing shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms by Davines.

Went here for a quick solo getaway, and it was completely relaxing. The staff was really nice, and they did everything to make my stay even better. The spa is incredible, definitely book an appointment and enjoy the facilities. The food in the restaurants was pretty good (sushi restaurant was the best). Only bad thing was that my shower had a bad smell, but it didn’t ruin the experience overall. Shout out to Nova (entertainment), super cool guy! Would definitely go back.

Séjour catastrophique à Punta Cana. Le personnel est désagréable, non souriant et ne pense qu’au pourboire. J’ai dû me rendre chaque jour à la réception pour me plaindre, sans aucune solution.

La chambre était insalubre : infestée de moustiques et de parasites, le lit était inconfortable et j’ai été piqué de partout. La nourriture était sale, ce qui m’a causé une allergie et a complètement gâché mon séjour.

Au moment du paiement, ils ont ajouté 130 dollars sans justification. Malgré un email envoyé, aucune réponse, aucun respect du client.

Cet hôtel se prétend 5 étoiles, mais il n’en a absolument pas le niveau. Expérience honteuse. À éviter absolument

We've stayed, now, in a handful of hotels in the DR or Cancun areas and agree that this is our favorite so far. Well run, very helpful staff, attention to detail, clean, great food, great beach, great rooms. Not crowded, very relaxing, which is what we were after! One flaw for me is that the restaurants, while serving great food, focus very heavily on seafood, so if you love seafood - great! If not, you'll need to pick and choose carefully. But other than that, any issues we had were dealt with quickly (eg items not replenished in the room) and the staff went out of their way to help. Each restaurant has its own list of specialty cocktails which is fun! The buffet restaurant has good variety and good food. The variety and choice of recliners on the beach or by the pools was great (more umbrellas on the beach would I think help though!). I used the gym repeatedly and it was well stocked. My wife used the spa and said the massage was extremely well done (though of course expensive!).

This was the best stay EVER! The entertainment crew Elian !!! , Jayson and Baby A were FANTASTIC, all the different activities this hotel had to offer !!! The food choices for whatever you desired !!! I was there with a family member with a gluten free diet…. Lots of options for her with everything we had to EAT … our room was a suite and it was fabulous. Rented cabana were worth every penny . The staff super friendly and very helpful . Transportation arrangements black car service all the way .

I had an incredible experience at W Punta Cana during our babymoon! The facility is absolutely amazing, and the staff is fenomenal—truly going above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. What an amazing experience. We went to celebrate 2 of our friends 40th & 50th bday. We were a group of 10 people. We just got back and it was a soft opening with low occupancy. The hotel and staff wowed us! Beautiful and top of the line resort, liquor and food. At the pool surged us Giselle. She went over and beyond to meet our wants and needs. She made sure our drinks we perfect, food and entertainment. I cannot say enough about her. The bartender are amazing too. The stuff China, baby Angel) that’s what we called him), China Africana ( also what we called him, I think his real name is Eliser) Gregory, Hoshi and everyone else made our stay unfortunately. At the Spa, my therapist named Marisol, was excellent. One of not the best massage and body scrub that I have ever had. At the Spa a young lady name Stefanie made sure we had the full spa experience with all the different water pool massages and treatments. I cannot wait to go back and see it at full capacity and all they have to offer. Will come back soon❤️

Estuve 5 noches en el W punta Cana, y es el mejor hotel que he ido a Punta Cana de 10 hoteles que he estado, dias antes de ir pense hasta en cancelar por algunos reviews que estaban muy malos, pero tome el riesgo y fui desde el momento que llegue me dieron una habitacion con piscina , super moderna , los tragos que me prepararon en el living room ( Rosa Sol, pisco sour, guava luna etc), estaban de otro nivel, los 3 bar tenders que me atendieron eran excellentes, Fidel fue el que mas nos atendio, los muchachos de animacion muy simpaticos, Giselle, que me atendio en la piscina era un amor, que se me aguaron los ojos en la despedidas porq no hallaba que hacer para contentarnos, la comida era tambien otro highlights , conocimos al jefe de los chefs, un muchacho peruano con tremendo conocimiento culinario, me preparo un Poke con pulpo, tuna y salmon que no olvidare, en los restaurantes de cena comimos delicioso todos los dias , mi favorito due Scena, pedi una langosta demaciada espectacular.
Pienso que justamente el hecho de no estar al 100% fue lo que hizo que tuvieramos una mejor calidad en nuestras vacaciones porq el trato fue muy personalizado y no tengan pena y si quieren algo especial ellos de seguro los complacen como nosotros que quisimos un mofongo con chicharrones y no los hicieron sin dudar.
Omar y otro jefe de costa Rica, el chef de Peru etc siempre pendiente que si necesitabamos algo se lo dejaramos saber y nos preguntaban todo el tiempo como la estabamos pasando.

A estrutura do hotel é nova, moderna e excelente. Mas falta cuidado no atendimento. O hotel optou por contratar funcionários muito jovens, provavelmente sem experiência e sem treinamento adequado. As comidas dos restaurante noturnos são muito boas. Já a comida oferecida durante o dia não tem a mesma qualidade. A beleza do hotel merecia um atendimento melhor.
