We had an amazing mother-daughter trip and truly enjoyed our stay! The resort offered so many amenities that there was always something fun to do. The pool parties were definitely a highlight—great music, fun energy, and a wonderful atmosphere without feeling overcrowded.

The property was beautiful, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and there were plenty of dining and entertainment options to keep us busy throughout our trip. Whether you’re looking to relax by the pool or participate in activities, there’s something for everyone.

My tip for future travelers: take advantage of the daily activities schedule and plan some pool time around the themed parties—they’re worth it! Overall, this was a memorable getaway, and we made some wonderful mother-daughter memories that we’ll cherish for years to come.

Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed many aspects of the resort, especially the beautiful property and friendly staff. However, there are a few areas that could enhance the guest experience.

The evening entertainment was limited, with typically only one show offered each night. Adding more activities such as trivia, karaoke, themed game nights, live music, or interactive events would give guests more options and create a livelier atmosphere after dinner.

It would also be a nice touch if water and a bottle of champagne were automatically delivered to guest rooms upon arrival rather than requiring a special request. Small details like this can make a stay feel more luxurious and welcoming.

Another improvement would be adding more electrical outlets near the room mirrors. Having only one outlet in the bathroom made it difficult for multiple guests to get ready at the same time, even a power strip would work.

The beach experience was another area where improvements could be made. We paid for an upgraded experience, yet the sargassum was worse at our beach than it was at Dreams.

And finally, the advertising is that it’s top shelf alcohol and it is clearly not top shelf if it is, it’s diluted.

Making these upgrades with be a huge difference.

my stay at breathless was so amazing I had to do an additional day. I will travel to Punta Cana again and always come to this resort. The staff is phenomenal. The scenery is so pretty. The only thing is it is about an hour away from the Punta Cana airport, but it’s worth it.

The resort was nice but the staff were not as friendly and accommodating as other resorts in the Caribbean we have been to. The access to the adjacent resort of Dreams was nice because the facilities there are much nicer and has a good water park. The party scene is as lively as you want and as chill as you like so there is something for everyone. Having the Casino was nice as well. The drinks were below the quality or most resorts and took a while to get from the bar. Would prefer more liquor options as most were pretty bottom shelf and nothing really in the middle. The activity and entertainment team weren’t as lively and frequent as other locations. All in all it was okay but if I come back I’m going to Dreams or Grand Moon

Try and inquire about the resort agenda in advance, such as black neon and white party.

I want to give a shout out to my concierge, the buffet staff especially Jacob, Sosa, Mr. Freddy the valet, the friendly/smiley faces every meal and omg I have forgotten my favorite golf cart driver’s name! The staff and the taxi drivers were available, helpful and friendly!

If you walk out of the resort, please go into the Bazaar and support the locals.

Lastly, they have a lottery, if you are interested, but it’s quite different from MI!

While the resort itself was beautiful and offered plenty of entertainment, the staff experience was mixed. The bartenders were fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always kept the energy up. However, outside the bars, many staff members seemed less welcoming and less engaging. Customer service felt inconsistent throughout the resort, which was disappointing given how stunning the property is. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and had a great time, but a warmer, more attentive staff would have made it even better.

I would like to begin by acknowledging the exceptional hospitality provided by the resort staff. Throughout my stay, employees were consistently polite, professional, and accommodating. Unfortunately, several issues significantly impacted what was intended to be a relaxing vacation.

First, I specifically booked a swim-out suite with a Jacuzzi tub due to chronic pain that I manage with hydrotherapy. After fully unpacking and settling into the room, I discovered that the Jacuzzi jets were not functioning. Although an alternative room was offered, relocating would have required packing and unpacking all of my belongings again, which would have exacerbated my pain and was not a practical solution.

Second, my room (3107) did not meet expected cleanliness standards. I noticed what appeared to be food splatter stains on the walls and curtains later on the first evening of my stay.

Third, I was awakened one night by loud knocking at my door from security and police personnel requesting entry into my room. Earlier that evening, I had taken medication and fallen asleep due to severe pain. My boyfriend had accidentally locked himself out and sought assistance from the front desk after unsuccessfully trying to wake me. While the security staff were polite and professional, the situation was extremely distressing. As a survivor of domestic violence who experienced a life-threatening assault two years ago, being subjected to what appeared to be a welfare check based on assumptions regar

Beautiful property. Although in the DR for it to be a tourist destination the staff often replied that they didn’t speak English which was weird! There were mosquitoes in the room. Jacuzzi tub outdoors was not cleaned. Phone did not work but put in a trouble claim and they came to fix it. Was upset that we didn’t get silk city reservations for our anniversary and that you couldn’t reserve ahead of time. Pool was a vibe and especially loved the pools and jacuzzis throughout the resort. I enjoyed the steakhouse at Dreams resort and spoon restaurant. My husband and I did the romantic dinner in which I paid for one thing and received another. There was so much seaweed that the resort does not clean up, that it was visually unappealing for the romantic dinner. Winds were high and sand was flying to the point they had to remake our dinner twice- finally we left and went to our room. I would try another resort if I was to return to the DR.

The property was nice, tropical and everything was easy to find. The staff were all very friendly. Our Concierge, Yimi (pronounced Jimmy) was great! Always checking in with us to see if we needed anything. Housekeeping did a great job. Our room was always clean and smelled good. The pools were nice. Every morning they were in them brush cleaning. The beach was ok. There were a lot of bottle caps, cigarette butts and small trash items in the sand. They worked to remove as much of the seaweed as they could every day from the beach so people could go in the water. Unfortunately, this time of year, they're fighting a never ending battle with that. All in all it was a nice time.

Everything about the resort in my stay was amazing. The only thing that I would change or do differently is their nightclub that they have upstairs. It’s kind of a letdown. It’s more of a living room with a DJ and it takes forever to get a drink however if you’re waiving a $20 bill that will get you to the front of the line despite people waiting otherwise very much. Enjoyed my stay with our group of friends.

Breathless was very clean and visually beautiful; however, the service did not meet expectations. Several staff members were rude and seemed irritated whenever we asked for assistance or requested rides around the resort.

One experience that stood out was when my partner and I went to redeem our coupons. A female staff member joked that after his spa service he could receive a “happy ending” and laughed about it. I found that comment completely inappropriate and unprofessional, especially at a resort that promotes luxury and comfort. Even after expressing that I did not think it was appropriate, the situation was simply laughed off.

We also attended a presentation for what appeared to be a timeshare opportunity. The representative was very friendly during the presentation, but once we politely declined, his attitude changed completely. He became aggressive and visibly upset, which made us uncomfortable. We were originally told that whether we purchased or not, everything would be fine either way, so the reaction at the end was disappointing.

Additionally, the food caused stomach issues for both of us almost every day of the trip. Since we stayed on the Xhale side, we expected a higher level of service and overall experience. Unfortunately, it felt like the regular side of the resort actually provided a better atmosphere and service.

Overall, while the resort itself was clean and attractive, the customer service, professionalism, and dining experience was excellent.

An Absolute Paradise – Flawless Experience!
I just returned from an absolutely amazing vacation at this tropical paradise in Punta Cana, and I am already wishing I could go back. From the moment we arrived, everything about this all-inclusive resort exceeded our expectations.

The property itself is breathtaking—perfectly manicured grounds, stunning pools, and a pristine beach with crystal-clear water. The food and drink options were fantastic, offering a great variety of delicious cuisines and premium cocktails.

Ivan my concierge was very wonderful, attentive and super proactive when it came to anything I needed, and this was in Xhale Club. Will definitely be staying again.

El sommelier Oscar: su conocimiento y recomendaciones elevaron cada comida a otro nivel.
Joel: impecable en su servicio, siempre pendiente de cada detalle.
Chef Héctor: su talento en la cocina es evidente; cada plato fue una experiencia.
Wally (recepción del Aqua Club): desde el check-in brindó un trato cálido, eficiente y muy profesional.
Joshua (en la playa): siempre disponible, asegurándose de que no faltara absolutamente nada mientras disfrutábamos del mar.

Cada uno de ellos aportó algo especial, pero en conjunto lograron algo aún más importante: que nunca nos faltara nada y que nos sintiéramos verdaderamente atendidos y valorados en todo momento.

El hotel en sí es espectacular: instalaciones modernas, ambiente relajante y una vibra de lujo que se siente en cada rincón. Pero sin duda, lo que hace la verdadera diferencia es su gente.

The resort waa fine. Food was tasteless and terrible. Staff was nice but not helpful if you try to ask anything. This resort does landscaping and repairs during prime time beach/pool time so forget relaxing if thats your goal. Biggest health concern is the chemicals they are using in the pool during the pool hours. Overall never going back.
