I stayed at El Besos at the end of May. We booked our reservation through Expedia and we were not given the pool view room we booked. Fortunately, the staff at the hotel did their best to accommodate us. The hotel grounds are beautiful but the rooms were older and needed upkeep.
The food at Pez Damas is excellent - the whole fried fish was delicious. Carlos, our designated contact was superb. He booked us dinner at Blue Moon and the Steakhouse. Both meals were superb. Overall, our stay was enjoyable.

What an amazing experience! Firstly, we were received so graciously at the front desk. We met our wonderful host Hector Matos and given a brief verbal tour on our way to our beautiful room. This is definitely a lounge heavy location. There are so many pools and options of seating for sunbathing. This resort offered many food options although limited authentic Dominican foods. Im sure its to be accommodating to the many cultures that visit this location. They have the friendliest staff in the Dominican Republic that greeted you with every passing. They helped us find our excursions and made it as easy as possible to book. Do not be afraid to leave the resort and book the Cultural Tour with Runners. We are so blessed that our first experience to DR was with Ocean El Faro. We hope to be back soon and see our friends that made it feel like family! And to Hector, if you're reading this, YOU’RE THE MAN!

Staff acts like they are bothered . Attitude for no reason . Hotel says its adult only but u have to dine with children . In dining hall . Adult seating section only open for breakfast. No food or drinks available after 11pm. The lobby bar also close's at 11 pm. This is NOT “ADULTS ONLY” as advertised.

The staff was incredibly rude, not happy to be there, the room was dirty when we arrived, and it smelt like mildew, the staff was not helpful at all. Our concierge would take two hours to message back. It was false advertisement by the resort it is not a five star resort and I would never return there again and I would recommend no one to ever go there.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort! The staff was friendly and attentive, the facilities were clean and well-maintained, and there was always something to do. The food selection was excellent, with a great variety of options available throughout our stay. Every meal offered something different, and the quality was consistently good.

The only downside was the beach. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations compared to the rest of the resort experience. However, everything else was fantastic and made up for it. Overall, we had a great vacation and would definitely consider returning.

Food: Terrible, the only gem is restaurant on the beach.
Beach: It’s not the cleanest. You’re better off staying by the pool.
Shuttle: not reliable. We’ve been there for 6 days and didn’t get to use the shuttle service. They wouldn’t even offer a ride if one is passing you by..
Entertainment: more geared towards the families and adult entertainment starts later in the night.

We come to DR quite often and this trip was probably the most disappointing.

Upon arriving at Ocean El Faro, El Beso, I was warmly greeted and offered a drink before checking in. I met Carlos Enrique who informed me of how he would update me on daily event and proceeded to take me to my room. Unfortunately my room was on the ground floor and although it was very nice I personally don’t like being on the ground floor and asked Carlos if he could provide me with a room on the upper floors. Carlos responded that he would see about getting a room that would be to my comfort. They were able to provide me with an another room that I was very pleased with. Carlos also handled a last minute dinner reservation for me. He was very helpful. Over all the property was very nice and the beach was pleasant and relaxing and Carlos Enrique was a 10 out of 10 for outstanding service along with the other staff I encountered. Definitely recommend this resort to my friends and family.
PS: If you like a room with a full ocean view on the beach do the Privilege plan.

My stay at the adults-only section of Ocean El Faro was very disappointing and far different from what I saw online.
Check-in quickly turned into a sales pitch for vacation packages. The first room we were given smelled of humidity, had visible mold, and was dirty. We refused it and were moved to a swim-up room, but that room also had issues. The mattress was badly worn out, and the swim-up pool pump was broken, causing the water to turn green with algae. Staff claimed it was fixed, but it clearly was not.
The most concerning part was when my wife sat in a hanging chair outside our room and the rope snapped, causing her to fall. The resort overall feels poorly maintained. There were cigarette butts, beer cans, plastic cups, food waste, and trash throughout the beach and property. Many areas also need repainting and repairs. Another thing that felt dishonest was employees asking guests to leave positive reviews during their stay. I initially did one just to avoid awkwardness, but later deleted it because it did not reflect our real experience. The property has potential and a beautiful beach, but the cleanliness, maintenance, and management were far below expectations. This is an honest review based entirely on our stay.

Enjoyed my overall experience but in the 4 nights we were there we had to change rooms 4 times. We were in the rooftop jacuzzi room. The first one flooded in the middle of the night even though we never got to use. The 2nd room a significantly smaller room, not worth what I paid. 3rd room same as the first, you guessed it flooded. 4th and final room, I asked for a swim up. It was perfect but we never truly got to experience it. Staff was friendly and amazing! Booking through Expedia got us a butler to help us the entire time.

Mi estadía de 4 días y 3 noches me permitió conocer varias áreas del hotel, dejando impresiones tanto positivas como aspectos importantes por mejorar.

Nuestra primera experiencia fue en el buffet El Mercado durante el check-in. Aunque la variedad era aceptable, la comida resultó bastante promedio y ningún plato destacó realmente. Lo más decepcionante fue el servicio: pese a que el restaurante estaba vacío, la atención fue lenta y poco organizada.

Por el contrario, el bar de la piscina fue una de las mejores experiencias del viaje. Dauri y Cristina ofrecieron un servicio excepcional; su carisma, atención y la calidad de los tragos hicieron que siempre quisiéramos regresar. Son, sin duda, un gran activo para el hotel.

Después de la experiencia inicial en el buffet, preferimos realizar la mayoría de nuestras comidas en Pez Dama, donde el servicio fue notablemente mejor. Quiero destacar especialmente a María durante las cenas, cuya amabilidad y profesionalismo marcaron una gran diferencia.

En cuanto a los restaurantes de especialidad, visitamos el mexicano y tanto la comida como el servicio quedaron por debajo de las expectativas.

Respecto al entretenimiento nocturno, el “Las Vegas Show” fue bastante decepcionante debido a la falta de coordinación y detalles de producción evidentes. Sin embargo, el “Circus Show” fue excelente y demostró el potencial del equipo de entretenimiento.

Overall it wasn’t the best but not the worst.
I had previously stayed at another resort last year and the only reason why we didn’t go back to that same resort was because this one seemed a little nicer than the last one. First impression Ocean el Faro main lobby 10/10. Then you get to the one at El Beso it was clean and they had a bar. Only two desks so wait times to check in are a bit long. Then we got to the room, smelled muggy (obviously in a tropical island but it didn’t smell like that the nights following after housekeeping on a daily). The next morning woke up to a massive roach. The pools were fine, service was bad but once they saw you tipping it improved. Kind of sad that’s how they gage how they treat you but that was my experience. Now let’s talk about the restaurants all were amazing 10/10 except for the American Food restaurant Route 66. Mid at best tipping on the mediocre and service there was by far the worst. Next worst service was at the main buffet. So if you do go plan your meals at restaurants. Live shows were alright, nothing too out of the ordinary, once again compared to the other resort I stayed at previously meh. And lastly we spent 3 hours touring the property to end up seated to get a sales 101 pitch trying to convince us to join their premium members club. Carmen at Pez Dama was def a stand out she was amazing, and Christina at the adults only slower pool was great too. Jose our concierge was amazing and so solicitous.

My wife and I visited from 30 April to 5 May, 2026 for my birthday weekend at Ocean- El Beso (Adult Only) side of the resort. This has been my 3rd time at the resort. What a difference the rooms are so worn down. On arrival the person thay checked me in a really young kid was super rude, however he informed us we had been assigned a butler José Miguel and he was on lunch and would be back in 30 mins or so. Since our room wasn't ready we went to eat at the buffet. On our way we bumped i to our butler José Miguel he was so sweet, courteous and professional. He scheduled all of our dinner reservations and helped my wife set up the most gorgeous birthday dinner on top of the lighthouse with lobster, filet mignon, shrimp, and more it was 4 courses. Jose also checked in with us daily and made sure we were good and comfortable, he also helped me get floaties for the room in our swim up, he was the best i would highly recommend him. In addition the activity pool where theres entertainment the bartenders there are the best Juan Carlos and the shorter lady i'm so sorry i forgot her name were the best. They always remembered my wife and I's order and sometimes when i swam towards them they had my drink ready without me saying a word. The housekeeping too Marleny was ours in blg 12 first floor she was great. All in all the best staff, good food, and i had a good trip.

Getting a drink at the pool bar took 20 mins one day. Entertainment needs improvement. Gym needs an updates. Very small for such a big resort. More activities should happen daily instead of only weekends. Beach was beautiful, I booked adults only but had to deal with kids & all that entering a beach lagoon on the adults side. Took away from the exclusive adults only feel.

Our stay at El Beso Resort Punta Cana had both positives and negatives. Unfortunately, our first night was very difficult due to an issue with the room that prevented us from sleeping the entire night. Resolving the issue took a very long time, and we spent more than half a day going back and forth to the lobby with long waiting times and no clear answers. We were disappointed that no compensation or acknowledgment was offered for the inconvenience and lost time.

That said, the staff in certain areas were very helpful, especially Jose Miguel, our concierge. He truly made a difference during our stay by helping us with reservations, transportation around the property, and other requests. His professionalism and attention were greatly appreciated.

The food was okay overall, but the front desk experience needs major improvement. The staff there seemed less attentive and not very interested in resolving guest concerns efficiently. Better communication and faster problem-solving would greatly improve the guest experience.

Lovely grounds! Beautiful room and hotel staff was nice. The upstairs hot tub took forever to fill up and the water was warm at best. The food was decent at the hotel. My favorite was the steakhouse and getting a fresh omelet for breakfast. Also, for the restaurants needing a reservation, it took a while for our helper to respond back to us with a confirmed reservation for the time requested.

We read the reviews prior to going in April 2026 and I was super worried about the beach. Nevertheless we went and the beach by El Beso exceeded our expectations. The hotel has more than enough tasty restaurants if you get tired of the buffet, which generally serves the same things daily. Our guest experience specialist Hector was heaven sent, checking on us daily via WhatsApp to ensure we had reservations each night and generally ensuring that we were okay. We’d also like to shout out Avelino who was also very helpful. The main area for improvement I’d say was the condition of the washroom in our room. It was clean but had obvious signs of aging. Overall, my husband and I had a great experience. The night shows, coffee shop and ice cream hut were among our favourite things to do, although the service in the coffee shop was extremely slow with long lines.

Tuvimos una bellisima experiencia en familia en este hotel. Hector Matos se encargó de todo;, reservciones en restaurantes de especialidad, tours, taxis al aeropuerto , muy agradecida por su atención. La variedad de comida muy buena y habitaciones muy cómodas.

Mi única queja es que el Hotel deberia preocuparse por castrar a las gatas qué andan en la propiedad. Definitivamente son un gran atractivo para los turistas como yo que somos amantes de los anímales. Pero es una lástima ver varias gatitas embarazadas. Por lo demas, todo perfecto

We recently stayed at El Beso at Ocean Hotels in Punta Cana, and while there were a few positives, our overall experience was overshadowed by a serious incident and some pretty underwhelming basics.

The most important thing to address is an incident that occurred during one of the sales presentations we were strongly encouraged (borderline pressured) to attend. While I stepped away briefly, the salesperson made a series of lewd and inappropriate comments to my partner. It left her feeling uncomfortable and unsafe, and it unfortunately set the tone for the rest of the trip.

We chose not to report it immediately while still on the property because we didn’t feel comfortable doing so. Instead, we raised it with the resort on the day we left. I made it clear at the time that I wasn’t looking for compensation—what I asked for was a follow-up outlining what actions would be taken regarding that employee, because I don’t think someone who behaves that way should be interacting with guests. I also said that if I received that response within two weeks, I would leave this out of my review. It’s now been a month with no response, which is why I’m including it here.

Outside of that, the resort itself had some ups and downs. The drinks were consistently good, and the overall price for the trip felt reasonable for an all-inclusive.

However, the food was largely disappointing. The Italian restaurant was especially rough—my chicken parm came out cold, with the cheese already hardened

The place was nice. Our room was very roomy and comfortable. We loved the adults side and the swim up pool.but the buffet was nothing to write home to mom about. The only thing Mexican about the Mexican restaurant was the chips and guacamole. The food at the Mexican restaurant was disgusting, mushroom tacos with rubbery mushrooms and my fish was mushy and had no flavor. We would love to stay here again and I hope you work on the restaurants.

Just returned from our 2nd trip to El Beso adults only at Ocean El Faro, and it won’t be our last. The hotel is beautiful and has one of the most impressive lobbies of any resort that we have visited. The piano bar in the main lobby was a highlight which we enjoyed most evenings. Despite being Spring Break, we were able to enjoy the many restaurants and the reservation system was very user-friendly. We were especially impressed by the quality of the steaks that we enjoyed at several of the restaurants. Special thanks to José, our concierge, who catered to us during our stay and was able to promptly assist us with all of our questions and special requests. He helped to make our stay very memorable and seamless. Special thanks to Christina and Isaac at Pez Dama for the excellent service. ElBeso at ElFaro is excellent value for money and we will definitely be returning again.

The hotel was standard, the food in the Mexican restaurant and steakhouse was excellent. Food everywhere else was standard. Not enough sun beds, but good pool environment with one loud and one quiet pool. Rooms were clean and cleaned regularly. Things were a good distance from the rooms. Lots of choices for bars. The coffee shop was a disaster, took forever to serve customers and always had a line up.Lazy river was very fun and has a pool bar off of it.Had the best massage ever at the spa, but very pricey, wait for them to come out to the pool area, which they did most days, and negotiate a deal.

The rooms, amenities, restaurants and food were awesome. The only hiccup was at the fesca bar was tough to get service at times. Never when Julian was working. He was amazing where ever he was scheduled and it seemed like he was everywhere. Lol Always walking around with a smile on his face checking on everyone to see they had everything they needed.

Special shout out to our VIP concierge Josè Miguel Jimenez. I have never had a concierge before and now I don't if I could vacation without one. Josè made our entire stay amazing and hassle free. Not once did I ever have to go looking for him. He checked in with me both in person and via text throughout the day to see if there was anything we needed. He made sure what activities and events were happening each day. He made our stay so relaxing. The next concierge we have on vacation will have very big shoes to fill.

Most of the resort was wonderful. Every staff member was friendly and helpful, the property is beautiful, well maintained, and easy to navigate. The pools and lazy river were extraordinary and there seemed to be a bar everywhere you turn so no shortage of drinks! The only problem is the food, the best restaurant was the Japanese steak house it was the best meal we had there but probably the worst Hibachi I’ve had…there were multiple places to get French fries and thankfully so because that was really the only good food…the question have you found good food? Was asked to us by multiple people and it seemed to be the consensus that the fries were good…they do have a coffee shop with good coffee and decent pastries but overall if you’re a foodie this isn’t the place for you. It was a wonderful getaway and I don’t regret going but I don’t think I’ll go back…if good food isn’t important for your trip then this is the place for you, I have zero complaints about anything other than the food quality!

Wonderful experience especially our butler Jose made things run smoothly. He made our reservations even on his day off and made sure we had our fridge stocked. It really allowed us to relax and feel taken care of.
Maintenance on resort needs a bit more attention. Water leaked from our shower into the main room through the wall which was concerning.. the staff and our housekeeper made us feel well looked after

We stayed in the adults-only El Beso section at Ocean El Faro in Punta Cana and enjoyed a solid, relaxed no-kids vibe—mostly.The adults-only lobby was fantastic: elegant, spacious, and welcoming with comfy seating. The resort isn't overly massive; fewer rooms in El Beso gave it an intimate, less-crowded feel, with easy access to quieter spots.Grounds are attractive—nice landscaping, multiple pools (El Beso pool a highlight), beach access. Adults-only perks like dedicated bars and areas kept things peaceful.Rooms were functional but dated: some wear, nothing luxurious, though AC and basics worked fine. They could use a refresh.Biggest downside: the lounge chair situation. Had to wake at 5am for prime pool/beach spots; towel-reserving was rampant despite policy. It turned relaxing mornings into a hassle—common in Punta Cana, but frustrating here.Dining was convenient: most restaurants along a promenade with great themed décors. Options included Japanese (our favorite), Mexican, French, Italian, American, steakhouse. Food was decent overall. Service friendly, though waits for food/drinks happened—staff still worked hard.Gift shop had everything needed. Coffee house offered wonderful brews, even if lines hit 45 mins at peak.Standout staff: Jose our butler was phenomenal—top communication and effort. Naomi at the pool bar: friendly, fast, made days easy. Carlos at El Beso lobby bar: fun gentleman; resort's lucky to have him.Overall, El Beso delivered a laid-back escape.

Our 4th trip to El Beso at Ocean El Faro was fantastic. The food is always excellent. We opted for the buffet 6/7 nights as we’ve tried all of the restaurants and for our dietary preferences (higher protein) the buffet was our main choice. SO many options and fresh food.

We had breakfast every morning at Pez Dama on the adults only side. Fantastic food as well. We made our own yogurt bowls, had fresh honey comb and delicious fruits.

We aren’t big drinkers at all, maybe 1 cocktail at night. We were very happy with the Fresca Bar to enjoy fresh pressed juices! We snagged some bananas from the buffet and some muffins to go from Mike’s Coffee to enjoy in the evening.

As this is our 4th time here, we’re pretty well versed in everything however to our surprise, booking with Expedia got us the use of a butler which we weren’t expecting. The turn down service was nice, but to be honest we could’ve done the things the butler said he’d do 10x faster ourselves. We aren’t very high maintenance so found this service lackluster just needing some water here and there.

My one and only complaint this vacation was the gym! Holy moly. As we attend the gym everyday, the kids from the tennis tournament were also utilizing the space making it extremely crowded, coaches saving equipment until the athletes got there. It wasn’t great. I’d suggest the athletes have their own separate fitness facility and leave the gym for hotel members.

The rooms need a lot of work. Our room had paint chips falling from the ceiling and a window that was not attached to the wall. Resort is rated a 5 star but is more of a 3 star. Staff keep to themselves and food is just ok.

Loved the rooms and resort overall, the staff are very hard working and super nice. We had Reinaldo Sanchez as our guest experience specialist. He is the greatest always gave us an itinerary of all the activities for the days of our stay and also made all the reservations for the restaurants. The rooms clean and the bartenders 100 out of 10 as well as the food were really good and a lot of variety. Will definitely go again and definitely 100 percent recommend.

Such a wonderful vacation! The resort is kept very clean. I love all the cats and the doggy that hang around. You definitely don’t go hungry, lots of food to choose from. That staff are all amazing, especially Reinaldo Sánchez, guest experience specialist. He was just a quick text away to answer any questions and he was able to make all our dinner reservations for our group of 8 for the week. He definitely goes above and beyond to make sure you are having a good time!

The pools were clean and the grounds around the resort were very clean and well kept. Staff at pools engaged with guests. Service workers were attentive and respectful.
We had a rooftop room and everything, including the jetted tub on the roof, worked great. The A/C kept our room at the perfect temperature and dampness was never an issue. Housekeeping and mini bar service were timely; always respecting whether we had Do Not Disturb up, or not.
