The hotel is big with nice scenery,but you have to do a lot a lot of of walking to get to the main lobby, to the dining area sports bar and events that are happening. They do have a small waterpark that’s fun good for kids.They definitely need some carts to transport guest around. The beach had a lot of seaweed but had beautiful palm trees. The best place was the pool. The food was very basic, unfulfilling for me. The drinks were too sweet and liquor selection was extremely limited. Overall, this hotel is OK not great. My room was not clean throughout my whole day and the cleaning ladies excuse was that her access card didn’t work thank goodness I had a suite with enough towels and necessity. Also extremely humid if you have wet clothes, they will not dry. Neither indoors or outdoors so bring plastic for your wet clothes.

Toda la experiencia de nuestra primera vez en el hotel fue excelente. Las comidas, la limpieza en los cuartos, las camas y almohadas eran súper cómodas, el parque acuático fue muy bueno aunque lo deberían habrír hasta más tarde. De verdad que pasamos unas vacaciones en familia estupendas. Los restaurantes las comidas eran exquisitas y el bufet también. Y la atención del personal fue un 120% de satisfacción

The restaurants are only open a few days per week so we weren't able to have anything other than the buffet (due to timing of excursions). The price at the market is very high. $12 for a bar of chocolate.

Great resort! The pools were amazing. The palm trees offer great shade on the beach. The waterpark is amazing for kids and so is the kids club. They offer many different activities for kids. Some restaurants are closed at night and there are no reservations so it’s important to get to dinner early so you don’t wait long. Food was good and buffet offered great variety. Would definitely be staying there again.

Everything was amazing! Right from check in to check out! Staff were friendly and helpful! We LOVED our walk out room! Pool was right there. Cozy chairs to lay in right by our sliding door! We ended up getting club level and I feel like it was worth it! Loved having the Azul restaurant for breakfast! The gym was well equipped and had friendly staff in there all day to help with anything needed and provided cold bottled water! The Spa was incredible ! Not something we would normally do, but our fishing trip got cancelled so we figured we’d splurge and it was well worth it!

We hit every restaurant during our 8 night stay and they were all very good. We ate at the buffet for several lunches and one dinner and it was delicious as well with plenty of options! The entertainment was great and enjoyable! There was something every evening. We never went to the waterslide so can’t comment on that but it looked like a lot of fun! The coffee and grab n go shop?l, had delicious coffees and snacks! We hit it every morning after the gym for an our coffee. There was a lot of seaweed this time of year (it is what it is) but the beach was still beautiful! We had lobster on the beach, delicious and nicely done! Ended that evening getting engaged!! Awesome trip all in all! The resort was cozy and never felt overly crowded! Great stay! Also…the drinks were delicious by the pool!!

The staff was amazing and helpful.
They have plenty to do for couples and family alike.
Plenty of good food and wine options.
The nightly shows kept everyone busy and entertained
The optional beach dinners were (extra cost) fabulous.
We will miss all the fun we had and we made many happy memories.

Room cleaning is not an everyday thing but they will come on request.
Wet from the pool seems hazardous to walk around im the rooms and around the pools.
Different restaurants are on rotations- not all restaurants are available everyday
Pool closes at 7pm so no swimming allowed

Las habitaciones limpias y confortables, el staff muy atento y servicial, el desayuno, comida y cena no tienen variedad, la calidad es buena, pero déficit en variedad, repiten las comidas, no tienen mariscos (no salían del salpicón de mariscos y era solamente calamares, mejillones y dos o tres camarones, una tarde pusieron mero frito y solo te pusieron dos veces, los jugos son agua de azúcar, si sirven arroz habichuelas de comida, la ponen de cena otra vez, no tienen variedad, todo cierra a la 10:30 después de ese tiempo no hay snack en ningún lado, room service y hay que pagar 10 dol cada vez que uno llame, no hay discoteca, no hay snack, las amenidades de la piscina muy pobre, un día hicieron foam party y habilitaron un inflable en la arena para hacer eso, cuando siempre lo hacen en la piscina, es un resort muy aburrido en cuanto a actividades, la piscina nunca la limpiaron, siempre sucia con basura en el fondo, no ví a nadie pasando un colador para recojer la basura. En el área del coffee shop no hay abanicos, un calor insoportable, las chicas del coffee shop pasan mucho calor ay, y nosotros como huésped también, igual en el lobby, pongan más abanicos. Los restaurantes lo abren interdiario, solo hay 4 y es interdiario que abren cada uno.

Me gustó muchísimo el trato del personal , muy amable y respetuosos . Del hotel me gustó mucho lo atento que son sus empleados con los huéspedes . Las facilidades son preciosas , jardines pasillos área de playa y piscina es muy hermoso . Único punto en contra que le vi es que hace falta más actividades en área de piscina o momentos tipo fiestas en área de piscina y playa . De lo demás todo bien . Lo recomiendo mil veces si me piden un lugar para relajarse y sentirse como un rey . Pero si a eso quieren incluir diversión y fiesta deben buscar otra opción .

My only complaints are that the sargassum was an issue up until the day before we left. I understand Mother Nature has its own plans but I was hoping the resort would be on top of it daily. The other complaint is that it was nearly impossible for getting $1 bills in change, even when making purchases in the gift store. I understand there are challenges with larger bills in the DR but eventually ran out of ones and fives, making it hard to properly and affordably tip. Lesson learned on my end that I should have brought all 5’s and 1’s. We made it work but wished there was a better system for those who were not fully prepared. Again it’s really no fault other than our own. And I’m sure the sargassum could have been much worse. Thankfully the pool was a great too!

All the staff were very friendly and appear to work very hard making our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on in ages! Loved being able to walk out to the pool from our room.

My husband and I wanted to travel to the Dominican Republic and spend quality time with our families. Out of all the options I had, I chose this resort, and I deeply regret it.

During the three days I stayed there, the food at the buffet was repetitive and lacked variety. The beach was terrible, covered with large amounts of sargassum. The room had a noticeable humidity problem, and both my family and I woke up coughing during the two nights we stayed there.

My father suffered an asthma attack due to an allergic reaction, although we were never able to determine exactly what caused it. The resort has a Hospiten medical office, but even if you are Dominican and have health insurance, they supposedly do not accept insurance. They charge Dominicans $125 for a consultation, payable in Dominican pesos, but they use an extremely unfavorable exchange rate. It feels like a complete scam. This was what made me feel most deceived. In the end, I paid $201 just for my father to receive a nebulizer treatment—something that would not even cost that much at many private medical centers.

The resort was also very boring. The so-called nightly shows lasted only about 35 minutes. Check-out time is at 12:00 p.m., yet at 11:15 a.m., a maintenance staff member entered our room asking whether we were checking out, while my husband was partially undressed.

The problem was it was the same as the buffet just served at your table. my teenager had a hard time finding food choices. Pizza was OK. The resort property was beautiful and the staff were all great. We enjoyed the nighttime entertainment. The resort was not crowded so there was no issues with dining at the restaurants, however they did rotate which ones were open each night as a result. The only issue was at breakfast in the main buffet. They started packing up the food items 30 minutes before it closed which gave us very limited options to eat. The hotel is older and due to plumbing infrastructure, they do not want you to flush any toilet paper to avoid clogging. We did not have any plumbing issues but they provided a separate garbage pail toilet tissue which is gross to us. Other than that we had a great time.

I recently stayed at the Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana and overall, the experience was mixed.

Starting with check-in, the process could have been handled better. The receptionist was not very transparent or proactive—while it’s understandable if upgrades or requests aren’t available, clearer communication would have made a big difference in setting expectations from the start.

The food was one of the biggest disappointments. Out of all the options available, only about 1 out of every 8 dishes was actually good. Variety was there, but quality and consistency were lacking. At the lunch buffet, it was especially frustrating that they took around 30 minutes after opening to bring out the steak, which made it feel intentional—like guests were being pushed to fill up on other items first.

Service overall needs improvement. While there were some standout servers who were genuinely attentive and kind, others came across as uninterested or not very friendly, which made the experience inconsistent depending on who you interacted with.

As for the drinks, the alcohol selection is on the cheaper side, and you can definitely tell in both taste and quality.

On a positive note, the property itself is nice, and the rooms are comfortable and spacious, even if a bit basic.

In summary, the hotel has potential, but it falls short in key areas like food quality, service consistency, and overall guest experience. With some improvements, it could be a much better stay.

My husband and I stayed for 6 days and 5 nights with this resort. It was a superb experienced. The resort was so beautiful, the lay out was unique and we love it! The staff were so friendly and helpful to our needs and very courteous and hospitable. They have different activities which we enjoyed most was the karaoke. We love to sing. The rooms were so clean and well maintained and modern style too. The food were great to taste and the restaurants were so good. The bars were so good too. I loved the pina colada. The resort were also kids friendly. All in all our stay was great and memorable. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday here at Wyndham. The stay was ok. The club check in was too long. We were ready to get to our room and they had a whole presentation. The food was mediocre. They ran out of some items at some of the restaurants. One of the burgers i ordered for my son, room service, was raw on the inside. The beach had sooo much seaweed. The resort didn’t clean so swimming on the beach wasn’t really possible. The MJ show was really good. When your trying to relax on the beach it will be people constantly coming up to you begging you to buy things. We order breakfast room service and the food was cold. We eat had better all inclusive food.

This resort is great! The atmosphere pleasant and the property is well kept. The food was pretty good. Unfortunately, after eating at one of the restaurants, we had vomiting and diarrhea for two days. Thank God that passed so we could have enjoyed the rest of our trip. The staff is great!

It would have been helpful if upon check in that staff told us the steak restaurant was closed during our stay, and that some restaurants were on “rotation” which mean some nites they could be open, and others they could close. You don’t know till that day.

Grounds were maintained .
I suggest a swim out room. Only 20 dollars more, it was nice to just open your sliders have a patio and have pool right there. Also there’s no elevators so ground floor is the way to go. 4 stars

This is a beautiful property, well maintained and they treat guests like royalty. I got there late but they kept buffet open long enough for me to eat. Love the onsite beach and giant lazy river pool with swim up bar and free drinks. Grounds are expertly maintained. Food is good. Nightly shows are interesting. Guests and staff are friendly. Housekeeping does a good job. My only regret is not staying longer.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Some of the bartenders were hit or miss, but Gleyvin was my man at the swim up bar! Always friendly and remembered what I ordered and kept the drinks coming.

The grounds were very well maintained and they had a good selection of restaurants and events to keep entertained. They no longer have the casino open, which was a bit of a bummer, but there was always something to do!

The beach and pool were great, with ample shade for when the sun gets too hot.

We had an amazing stay at Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana Resort. The property was very clean, and our room was beautiful with an incredible view. We did experience a slightly longer wait during check-in, but everything after that made up for it.
Housekeeping was consistent and thoughtful, with fresh bedding and towels provided regularly—almost every day or every other day. The resort itself is stunning, from the well-kept grounds to the relaxing pool and refreshing drinks.
A special highlight of our stay was the exceptional service we received from the beach manager, Juan Gabriel. He went above and beyond to make both my birthday and my partner’s birthday unforgettable, which are just a day apart. He organized a beautiful private beach dinner for me on my birthday, and the next day arranged another special dinner for my partner featuring lobster and steak, along with a thoughtful birthday celebration from the staff. His attention to detail truly made our trip feel special and memorable.
The staff overall were very friendly, welcoming, and energetic, creating a fun and lively atmosphere. The buffet offered a good variety of food, and everything we tried was fresh and light. we never felt overly full or heavy afterward. While we didn’t dine at the restaurants, the private beach dinners were an unforgettable experience (note: these are an additional cost, but very reasonable for the experience).
Overall, this resort was beautiful, relaxing, and perfect for a special celebration.

We had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed the overall atmosphere of the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. One thing we especially loved was the variety of restaurants available. Having different options every night kept the experience fresh and made dinners something we looked forward to each evening.

What stood out the most, though, was the level of service from the staff. During our stay, there was a small miscommunication issue, but the hotel responded quickly, professionally, and with genuine care. Instead of letting it impact the trip, they turned the situation around and made our stay go from good to truly great. That kind of attentiveness and hospitality makes a lasting impression, and we would happily stay here again.

I booked this property for the pool, and it didn't disappoint. But when I arrived from a private transportation, I was greeted. I had some things to work out with the driver, and i was left to carry my bags to the front desk. Then when checking in I asked about the pool hours, online said open until 7pm. But I was informed it closed at 5pm. I was very disappointed. I would have peeked elsewhere. Then the next day 8 asked around and others said 7pm for the pool hours. Others didn't know the hours. Lots of missed communication for something so important to know. The food was good, but they rotate the open restaurants. Not all open everyday. The concierge was extremely helpful. And very attentive to assistance, if you need. The rooms are cold with AC blasting, cover up if you like it warmer. The swim up bars is nice, but I found that service was slow. I will say I was a solo female traveler, and if I went on an excursion adventure. The guys at the lobby area always made sure I was picked up by the correct transportation company. And they always checked me back in making sure I arrived back safely. This was great .... they resort was more low key and not a party atmosphere. If you want more of a young party crowd, I feel this is not the resort for that. The water park was very fun and clean for kids. I like that it was no alcohol in this area. They were slow to clean the beach if they cleaned it at all of the sargassum. You pretty much had to walk though it.

The price is great. One thing to keep in mind is that the beach was under a red flag the whole time, so no one was really getting in the water. You probably still can, but at your own risk. The pools are all only 4 ft deep, and the buffet food wasn’t the best. One good thing is that you don’t need reservations for any of the restaurants.

I went with friends, and we got asked for ID multiple times since they don’t use bracelets there — apparently we all have baby faces 😂. Overall, it’s a very family-friendly resort, perfect if you’re looking for something peaceful and comfortable. Also there are only 4 slides in the water park

This is a nice relaxing family vacation resort, not as loud as you’d expect from a family resort. The property is clean, and well maintained. The food was ok, nothing to weight home about. The best food is the buffet and the steak house, I don’t recommend the other restaurants. The beach is clean and has ample beach chairs. I especially loved being able to walk right out from my room and into the pool.
