Excellent service with friendly staff who went above and beyond. Loved the birds and wildlife in the Sanctuary. Too rough to swim in the ocean but we were aware in advance. Not too many daily activities but we weren't looking for any. Nightly entertainment was much better than expected. We couldn't get into the Grill restaurant, too busy, but all others were quite good. Rooms were great

Beautiful property! The staff was very accommodating and very nice. Our room was fresh and clean on arrival, which was a plus for me! We LOVED the pool. Whoever designed it, was very intelligent! All the food was delicious and the bars were just what we needed for our relaxed vacation! We will definitely visit again in the future.

We spent our honeymoon here and were very happy with the experience. The staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Drinks were tasty and strong, and they also gave us complimentary liquor in the room. When they learned it was our honeymoon they added a complimentary breakfast in bed and romantic dinner experience. The pool was beautiful with a swim up bar. Food ranges from good to excellent depending on the restaurant and dish. I especially liked the Porterhouse steak at the Grill. We also took a day excursion to Saona Island and the natural swimming pool which were beautiful to experience in person.

My only criticisms with the experience:
- dinner service could be slow at some popular restaurants. Over an hour between ordering and receiving our entrees. We were not in a rush so it was not the end of the world, but definitely saw some people getting up and leaving when they couldn’t stand to wait during to hunger.

- the beach had rough waves and a lot of sargassum. So we spent our time poolside rather than on the beach. The excursion to Saona Island was enough to satisfy our beach experience though - calm, beautiful blue waters and white sand just like the pictures.

This is my fourth or fifth time at this property and I continue to love it. The staff is amazing the food is great, and the property immaculate. There were a few issues. I didn’t get hot water consistently for the first three days of my trip. I stayed in tower 7. Also again there were red flags on the beach. I had to walk much further down to go swimming. It’s not the resort’s fault I guess it’s the time of year like last year. Hopefully it’s not red flags all year round. Thank you.

Excellent adults-only resort with great food, beautiful grounds, warm pools, and exceptional service. We stayed in an Ocean Front Terrace Suite with Plunge Pool and loved having the private outdoor space. Breakfast at Lobster House and dinner at The Grill were highlights. The beach was beautiful but the ocean was rough during our stay, so we spent most of our time at the pool. We would definitely return.

We just returned from our trip to the Excellence Punta Canta. It was amazing. The property was beautiful, the food was delicious, the rooms were extremely clean. Our cleaning lady left something special for us daily (flowers, heart shaped towels, etc.). Our favorite bar was the Martini Bar, with the most awesome bartenders ever. Ramon, Hector, “Smiley”, and our sweet Altagarcia (Mamacita) were the best! The whole staff there was top notch. Without them, it would just be another place to stay! You just can’t find better people than the ones there. Nicki Minaj was AWESOME, from making bracelets with (and for) us, dancing with us, playing bingo with us, and just hanging out and looking out for us… again, top notch! Then Joy Boy! He is the absolute best at what he does. He is the life of the party and a smile on his face! He was such a sweet, helpful and fun guy! He always looked out for us as well, and would hang out and dance with us! He’s the absolute BEST! Cappuccino was precious! He’s the sweetest, nicest kid ever. So friendly, fun, and was just amazing. Honey, who was great also, danced with us, made dolls and bracelets with us, and was super sweet. Panda and Pumba were awesome as well! They danced with us, helped us, and were just fabulous! The fitness staff was wonderful as well, helping us do paddle board yoga and other water activities. We love them all! 10/10 for the staff and the resort! We will definitely go back! We already miss our new friends from the DR!❤️💙

I’ve stayed at a lot of all inclusives and by far this place has the best food. The resort is beautiful. The beds are comfortable. There is plenty of pool chairs everyday so many options at all pools.

Overall staff were/are amazing. Be careful of the beachside bars if ordering food and you have a gluten allergy. Not all waiters understood the issue and ordering was difficult. The finer dining restaurant servers are well versed in food intolerance/allergies and the meals were/are amazing. Everyone, from check in to gardeners to bartenders were friendly and strived to make our stay amazing.

It was a great relaxing resort. I went for a girls trip. The buffet is only open for breakfast and lunch but you do have the option to try different restaurants for dinner, it is first come first serve though. The food is good. The pools were very nice and beach as well. The waves were a bit strong when i went but please know there will be Sargassum seaweed, the staff does work hard and quick to remove so people can enjoy. They do have some events at night everything mostly finishes by 11:30pm. if you decide to leave the hotel at night please use the hotel's transportation service for a fee. The strip to go out at night is about 30 minutes away. For excursions as well. The rooms are spacious and very lovely. Overall i definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking to relax and enjoy a calm trip. Their spa is excellent i did the excellence massage and loved it so much.

We needed an escape and didn't want to have to do anything. This was the perfect spot. Beautiful resort, lovely suite, great amenities, amazing beach and cabanas/seating, the pools were fantastic, the shows were entertaining, great food, coffee shop and shopping. My fiance and I really enjoyed our vacation to the Excellence Punta Cana Resort! There is not one thing we could complain about. Staff was absolutely amazing, the service fantastic. Food was great! We tried to hit every restaurant, our favorite was the French inspired for dinner and then we loved the Magna excellence club for breakfast. We did go ahead and upgrade upon arrival and it was so worth it. We had never done an all inclusive vacation before, but we will absolutely be back!

I came here for a much-needed vacation and had high expectations. While the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and entertaining throughout our stay, the overall food experience was extremely disappointing.

Unfortunately, both my boyfriend and I had a bad reaction to the food, despite neither of us having any known allergies or sensitivities. Compared to our experience at Excellence Jamaica, the food quality here was nowhere near the same standard. By the last two days of our trip, I was only able to eat bread and butter because I no longer trusted the food options available.

The amazing staff was truly the highlight of this resort, but the food experience unfortunately had a major impact on what was supposed to be a relaxing getaway.

Our stay was great except for one small problem. The elevator in the building we were staying in broke. I am in a wheelchair and was stuck on the second floor. We had to find a way for me to get down or wait in the room for an unknownamountof time. We figured it out ourselves. Luckily, I was in my folding travel chair and I can walk a little. Then the man at the desk was rude and refused to tell us the new room number. Another employee found us waiting in the hallway waiting and was able to get us the room number and key. Finally after at least 2 hours of waiting, we got in our new room. Then another 20 minutes later our stuff arrived. However, no one let us know that they were doing construction outside the room. So each time we went to the room they had to move out of our way. But most of the staff was great. They are not prepared for handicapped people.

This “5-star” resort was a complete scam and a huge disappointment for our babymoon. My husband and I were expecting a relaxing, clean, luxury stay, but the experience was the exact opposite.

The first room smelled strongly of mold and was extremely dirty. There was hair in the bathtub, oily residue from previous guests left in the sink, and even urine on the toilet. After we complained, we were moved to another room, but that one was not much better. There were leftover sodas in the fridge, the couch was ripped, and the closet looked like it had been poorly painted over to cover damage. We could still smell mold in the second room as well.

And the food — absolutely disgusting. If you want to risk ending up in the hospital, then this is the place for you. Most of the food tasted microwaved, the bread was stale, the vegetables looked rotten, and the desserts were awful. It genuinely seemed like leftover food was being reused over and over again. The only decent thing at this resort was the coffee.

Even the servers looked miserable and unhappy to be there, which made the atmosphere even worse.

After this entire experience, we should have received a refund, but the only thing they offered us was a free upgrade for a future stay if we ever decided to come back — which we absolutely never will.

I would never return to this resort and would not recommend it to anyone, especially pregnant guests who are looking for a safe and relaxing vacation.

The property was gorgeous. All the staff were very courteous. Every morning and throughout the day ground staff was manicuring the shrubs or racking the beach. It was awesome! The restaurant staff were always gracious and most of the food was very good. If there was a problem they would do everything they could to fix it!
Suggestion - always book on the Excellence Level. There is a separate pool area for this level so it is not nearly as crowded as the other pools. Adults Only is the way to go!

Stayed for 7 days. The first few nights we were on the first floor and just be mindful that it gets really humid. Everything felt moist, even things in my luggage after a few hours. The ground floor has the perk of an outside lounger, but that also takes away your privacy. The morning staff were also very loud, having loud conversations with each other starting at 8AM. As people on vacation, I’d expect staff to be a little more courteous about people wanting to sleep. We ended up moving to the second floor, but even then the staff were yelling from the top to bottom floors early in the morning.

The food was fine. Chez Isabelle was easily the best meal and service. To those with allergies, may be learn how to communicate to staff what it is in Spanish just so there’s no miscommunication. I was given a chocolate cake that had hazelnuts even though we told multiple people about my allergy. It was only until my girlfriend told them in Spanish that they finally understood and took it away with no apology. There were only two nights with amazing service from staff. The buffet was good, but repetitive and obvious that the quality got better over weekends when they expect more people. So a note for travellers that if you arrive early in the week, the buffet options will feel underwhelming.

The weather was great and the resort was nice and very well maintained. It was a fine stay, but I would’ve been okay opting for a few less days

Omg I have to say in all my years of traveling and experiencing hospitality this has to be by far the best and most humble places I’ve been to, from the moment me and my wife walked in we were treated like royalty and everyone else around the same!!! I never take the time to right reviews but this place I did. From the beginning with David in the excellence club member area to Joan the attendant. Superb service. I also have to say the he chief in las olas amazing amazing custom tostone with a heart of of gold. The events where amazing with Maria hosting a lot of the arts and crafts, me personally have never been one to do any activities but she made it tremendously fun for me and my wife. She even personally took the time to get me a chimi which let me tell me you was not easy for her to do she literally looked for me all over the hotel to ensure on my last day me and my wife were able to experience and enjoy the food and than helped us get great seat for the show and ended it with a bang. I will be taking my family of 25 in 2 months just because of Maria and David. Edwin also went out of his way multiple time to get me a traditional Dominican breakfast. I truly am impressed how all the staff remembers us but our name. I have to also take the time to thank Wander, Albert by the pool, Oswaldo, rohemer , Belkis I know I spelled it wrong she was amazing at las olas. I mean I can’t say enough the gratitude the show and hospitality I will def be visiting here over and over

I enjoyed everything about this property, but my air conditioner struggled to keep my room cool. Aside from that everything was great. Staff was amazing and always had smiles on their faces, drinks were great, food was good, room was clean and stayed stocked.

My wife and I have been to a lot of all inclusive but this was a first for the Excellence Collection. The resort is beautiful and the employees are great. We typically go to bed early on vacations from being out in the sun all day but we managed to enjoy the night entertainment which we found really fun.

The only thing that we found just sub par was the food in some of the places. The Spice restaurant wasn’t great and the buffet wasn’t either, but we always find something we enjoy, here it was basically the omlette that we liked. For Spice they have the hibachi that you have to make a reservation for. We weren’t able to get a reservation until 9:45pm on Friday which is way too late for us, this isn’t really a complaint on that but more just unfortunate. The oregano restaurant was really good and so was the steak house.

One other thing that this place doesn’t have that pretty much all other resorts that we’ve been to is a place that is serving snacks/lunch around the pool where you could just walk up and order food. Here you have to order from the waiter which is fine, but it takes about 1/2hr-45 minutes.

Other than that we liked this place and didn’t want to leave.

I do want to give a shot out to the whole staff who were great, but these people in particular made our stay fantastic.

Staff was very courteous, fun, and outgoing, they were very helpful throughout. Always sharing a smile, a beverage, and answering questions. Rooms were decent. Always clean but humidity crept in with some moisture/mildew faint at times. Went between AC and open doors to bring in air. Food was pretty good. Had to use your phone and their app for all the menus though…was hard to fully disconnect for a vacation. Beach was pristine. They kept the beach clean and seaweed was constantly cleaned up.

I have stayed in Punta Cana twice before, but this was by far the best resort experience, especially because of the incredible service from the staff. Everybody was positive and glad to help.
A special thank you to Hector at the front desk, who helped with the room and made sure I received a quiet room. I also want to recognize Vivian and Raquel for going above and beyond with my food allergies and helping arrange special meals during the stay. Their care and attention made such a difference. Santiago was also extremely helpful and careful whenever delivering room service food. The coffee shop was amazing and so cute, and Yordania always provided excellent service with such a positive attitude every day. At the Kitchen Table Buffet, Santa always made sure I had everything, and was so attentive whenever I walked in to get food.
The beach is definitely windy and has surf, but honestly it ended up being not a problem. I spent time there every day from around 9am until 4pm, and the breeze kept the weather comfortable so I never felt overheated, unlike other resorts where after 1 hour I wanted to go inside.
The overall resort is not large, which made it easy to walk and explore. The gym is fantastic and has TechoGym equipment. The wildlife is also unique with parrots and small birds- definitely check out the Eco Park walk.
Overall, this was such a peaceful and relaxing vacation, and the outstanding staff made it unforgettable.
