The beach is beautiful and clean. no seaweed. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The overall place is well maintained, the entertainment and food are really good as well. I would def go back to this resort.

We had an excellent stay at this resort and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our vacation. The food was outstanding, the drinks were great, and the entertainment was fantastic throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Kenny from the entertainment team, who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. His energy, friendliness, and dedication truly stood out and added so much to our trip.
The resort itself was beautiful, with well-maintained grounds and a stunning beach that made for the perfect getaway.
The only negative was that the mattress in our room was quite hard and uncomfortable, which affected our sleep. Other than that, everything exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back. Thank you to the entire team for an amazing vacation!

the beach was amazing. the staff was just fantastic. the food was top notch.

the lack of shuttle transportation from the airport is inconvenient and a negative for me at this price point. also, the hotel reserves some restaurants and rec areas for “preferred members”. it felt like i was being nickel and dimed for extra stuff at an all inclusive resort. left a bit of a bad taste in what was otherwise one of the best resort stays i’ve ever had.

overall, i would recommend and stay again.

Our stay at Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana was absolutely incredible, and a huge part of that was because of three amazing employees: Rossy, Moses, and our butler, Manuel.
This was our first time visiting the Dominican Republic, and from the moment we arrived, they made us feel completely welcomed and at home. As two women traveling together, we were not sure what to expect on our first visit, but thanks to these three incredible individuals, we felt comfortable, cared for, and safe throughout our entire stay.

Rossy and Moses, who worked at the Preferred Club Adults-Only Pool, were always attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. What impressed us most was how quickly they got to know us. They remembered our favorite drinks, anticipated what we might enjoy, and offered recommendations that we absolutely loved. It was those personal touches that made us feel special and truly valued as guests. They never made us feel like just another room number. They treated us like friends.

I especially want to recognize Rossy for the incredible impact she had on our stay. Rossy wasn’t actually assigned to us, but you would never have known that by the way she treated us. She went out of her way to check on us, make sure we were having a great time, and help us whenever we needed anything. Her kindness, warmth, and genuine care made us feel like family rather than guests. She has such a beautiful personality and a true gift for hospitality. We spent the second half of our anniversary trip here (the first was at Lopesan Costa Bavaro) and the first thing I wanted to highlight was the beach! The water was crystal blue! Although the waves can get a bit rough, it was good to have a beach that you can swim in and wasn’t overly polluted with boats (like at Lopesan). The resort, although smaller than Lopesan, was beautiful. And the food? 10/10! We had the Master Ocean Front Junior Suite swim out and the views were top notch. Can’t wait to come back to this resort!

I am writing to formally express how disappointed my family and I are with our recent stay at your resort. We chose this resort because it was highly recommended to us and because it was advertised as a luxurious vacation experience. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite, and it honestly ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable family trip.

From the moment we arrived, the customer service throughout the resort, especially in the restaurants, was extremely poor. I personally work in customer service, so I understand the importance of making guests feel welcomed, respected, and comfortable. Instead, my family was consistently treated with a lack of care and professionalism.

The food was also very disappointing. If a resort advertises that it offers food from different countries and cultures, then there should be effort put into actually preparing those dishes correctly and making them taste good. The quality and flavor of the food were far below expectations for a resort that claims to provide a luxury experience.

Another issue that made our stay uncomfortable was the constant pressure from staff members regarding timeshare presentations. We were repeatedly pushed into attending meetings and were even woken up very early in the morning and pressured to go. Staff kept insisting that we would receive a “free breakfast,” which made absolutely no sense considering the resort is already advertised as all-inclusive. The property is kept in great shape. Maintenance staff is a great job getting out when it rains and clearing the path of sitting water. However, the food is not that great even by resort standards. It was annoying having to walk around the hotel the day the local vendors came onto the resort to sell their goods and having to say no five times. You have predatory vendors at the beach, shouldn’t happen at your resort. It would be better if they set them up in the sports bar for people to go check out. In addition, there was a Jose Miguel with the ultimate vacation club that was annoying to deal with. He promised a gift card if we attended a 90 minute presentation of their vacation club with no commitments needed at the end of the presentation. However, once we finished the sales people were pushing that a deposit would be due the same day. We missed out on the coupon for the massage and wasted two hours of our time. I would highly advise not giving the UVC them any of your time. The butler who was not helpful and made us feel uneasy with our stay with his comments. He walked us to our room and then proceeded to say something in Spanish to the cleaning staff and then told us to lock our safe. We reached out to Hyatt corporate to see if we could be moved to a different resort and didn’t get a follow up until after we returned home. We were uneasy during the rest of our stay and didn’t feel comfortable doing an excursion and leaving the few valuables we had at the resort.

We enjoyed many parts of our stay, but the check-in process was disappointing. Our room was supposed to be ready at 3:00 PM, but we were unable to get into it until almost 6:00 PM. Traveling with two young children made the long wait especially difficult and exhausting.

We also booked two rooms alongside another family, and they received welcome bags and slippers while we did not. When we asked about it, we were told those items were only for preferred members. While we understand policies may differ, we do wish some type of compensation or gesture had been offered for the lengthy wait and inconvenience.

That being said, everyone at the resort was extremely nice and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The service at the buffet, restaurants, and pools was especially wonderful and truly appreciated. The entertainment crew were also great and helped make our stay enjoyable.

The Preferred Club is the best. We had an amazing experience at Dreams Macao! The service and hospitality were exceptional throughout our stay.

A special thank you to Francisco at the World Café Buffet for always being attentive and welcoming. Cesar at Seaside Grill provided outstanding service and made every meal enjoyable. Yocaina and Ismael at Oceana were incredibly kind, professional, and attentive to every detail. Yessenia at El Patio made us feel so comfortable and well taken care of.

And a huge thank you to Jansel, our butler, for going above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. His attention, professionalism, and kindness truly elevated our entire experience.

The staff at Dreams Macao made us feel genuinely cared for, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended! See you all in 4 months again.

We checked into Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana expecting a 5-star luxury all-inclusive experience, and it was shockingly the opposite. We ended up leaving the resort early and moving to a different hotel because it was that bad.

Our room was filthy upon arrival stained bedding, dirty floors, mold-stained furniture, and even rust and grime coming from the walls. The bathroom had visible hair and a film on surfaces that clearly had not been properly cleaned. Even the “swim-out suite” was disappointing and far from what was advertised.

The pool area was no better slimy and poorly maintained and overall cleanliness throughout the property was unacceptable for any standard, let alone a supposed luxury resort.

The food was consistently cold, bland, and low quality. Drinks were equally disappointing, with only bottom-shelf alcohol included and very limited service, despite this being advertised as all-inclusive.

Staff were often rude and unhelpful, and management was not accommodating when concerns were raised. Even basic expectations like service quality and hospitality were not met. To make matters worse, pools closed very early each evening at 5 PM, which felt very restrictive for a resort stay.

Overall, this was the worst all-inclusive experience we have ever had. It does not reflect a 5-star resort in any way, and we strongly advise others not to stay here if they are expecting cleanliness, service, or luxury. We will never return.

The beach was a little chaotic on the weekend when we arrived since its a public beach but they had security, during the week it was beautiful waters and beach and more private to guests. We enjoyed the kids pool since traveled with kids and the other pools were nice. Room was clean and had great space for a family. No washer or dryer or kitchen just sink and mini fridge. The staff was friendly but the service wasn't great not enough workers for needs of guests and food was mass produced or very basic. They did do great with asking about allergies and making accommodations for them.

Dreams Macao is a fabulous resort. Visited the resort with my 2 adult children and each had a friend join. We all had a fabulous time. So many great activities at the pool. The water park slides were fun. The beach is stunning and we felt very safe. The equipment at the gym were top-notch. We participated in a lot of the pool activity right out the day such as paddle board yoga, paddle board fitness regular yoga and more.
We visited all restaurants except the Mexican restaurant. The food was excellent with very good quality meat and seafood. The rooms were very spacious with lots of cupboards and drawers for unpacking. Can’t say enough good things about this resort. Will return.

The service at Dreams is the best we’ve experienced at any all inclusive- far superior to anything else in Punta Cana. The property is small but absolutely beautiful and quiet- this is not a loud mega party resort, which is one of the reasons we love it. The staff is genuinely helpful and happy which makes staying there a treat. The only negative is that our room smelled very musty- I should have asked to move. We’ve stayed there before when this wasn’t an issue, so it’s obviously only certain areas. I highly recommend Dreams if you are looking for a relaxing vacation with friendly and excellent service.

Our stay this time was a bit disappointing compared to our first visit.
First, check in was extremely delayed. Check in was supposed to be at 3:00 PM, but our room was not ready until after 4:30 PM. After a long day of traveling, that was frustrating and exhausting.
The cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better. The toilet and the area underneath it were dirty, which was not what we expected.
We also had issues with the phone in our room. It would ring repeatedly and we could not reach the front desk or order room service. We were told the phones were not working, but unfortunately no one ever came to repair it during our stay.
Another concern was the door lock in our room not working properly, which made us feel a little uneasy about security.
The electrical setup in the room was also confusing. Sometimes the bathroom lights worked and sometimes they did not, and there were no clear instructions on how to reset it.
We also booked an “ocean view” room, but our room ended up being the furthest away from the ocean, which was disappointing.
On a positive note, the entertainment team did a great job. Johnny Bravo and Kenny were fantastic and really made our stay memorable. They brought great energy and made the shows fun and engaging.
Macao Beach is also one of our favorite beaches, although lately the waters have been a little rough.
This was our second time visiting this resort. Our first experience was amazing, which is why we returned. This time it fell short.

The front desk staff were a little pushy trying to upsell extras but I guess that is their job. Finally, out of the 62 people in our group more than half contracted some sort of norovirus which was not fun.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the hotel. Everything was truly amazing from beginning to end. The service was excellent, the staff was incredibly kind, professional, and always helpful. Everyone made us feel welcome and comfortable throughout our vacation.

The atmosphere was beautiful, the resort was very clean, and everything was well organized. We really appreciated the positive energy and friendliness of all the people working there.

This is our second year in a row visiting and I think we’ll be back next year. Kids love it and the second year was even better, we easily acclimated and jumped right in with an excursion in buggies, second day there.
For the kids, the Entertainment team takes it to the next level. Not only does the entertainment team work their butts off on stage, but they run around running activities throughout the day, with enthusiasm, while also having a bit of time to stop and say hello; a fist bump or a high five with a big smile. Shout out to Victor OG, Baby Face and Johnny Bravo to name a few. The two ladies working the drinks by the preferred pool closest to the buffet, amazing little team. Overall, the staff is just above anything we have seen in our travels. Whether this is a Dominican thing or Hyatt is using fantastic motivating rewards, I’m not sure, but these people work really really hard and the majority genuinely want your stay to be amazing.
The beach has a waves but we actually had fun staying close to shore and jumping whenever the waves pass. Like a wave pool. The sand is wonderful.
The resort is not too large, but also not too small. It’s a perfect size. Water slide and lazy river area is fantastic and well staffed observing safety etc. Gym facilities are great. Buffet is right on, optimal. Eateries by the pools are perfect for a quick meal.
Whomever designed this place from Hyatt, fantastic job.
Give this place a try you won’t regret it. We hope to go again.

My family and I go to the islands every winter for many years now we are not hard to please, but I think it is important to give an honest review because people really look forward to these trips and they should know what the place is really like. First the good, The grounds are stunning. Everything is very clean. The pools are great and pretty good poolside service. The employees try very hard. Anything you ask for if they can do it, they will do it or get it for you. Now the not so good. For the most part, the food in the restaurants is pathetic. We had to walk out of the one restaurant. The food took forever, and the filet mignon was so tough you could barely chew it. The portions are extremely small and you have to keep asking for more. The buffet was reliable and at least you could feed your family there. Also there is a lot of hard up selling which puts a bad taste in my mouth. And they had these stands and outside people come in and constantly approach you and annoy you to buy little trinkets, I thought that was disgusting after paying so much money to stay here.

We had a wonderful time at the Dreams resort! Tony, our butler, was incredibly helpful and attentive during our stay. We ended up switching rooms due to some construction next door and the resort was very accommodating. This would be a great resort for families, there are kid friendly pools and activities each day. We took advantage of the spa and it was beautiful and relaxing, highly recommended. The late-night entertainment was fun and something to look forward to each day. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

My room front door was broken, couldn’t lock the doors unless i used my keys to lock it. Half of the items in the bathroom wasn’t working or looks broken like the mirror for your makeup and the knob for the shower. Also the bathroom always have a weird mildew smell. The shower drain always making sounds all night like it couldn’t drain the water. Room service was okay, except finding a metal string in my omelette that looks like it was from a metal sponge to clean the grill/stove, i told the supervisor about it, and they didn’t do anything about it. ALSO, if you use the app for collect tray, i would think someone is going to pick it up on the first request but NOPE, my dirty dishes from the room service will still be in the box for couple hours after claiming they “attended” my collect tray which they didn’t.

Also i felt like the resort can improve in securities because a lot of ppl were drunk in the nightclub looking for a fight with other people.

But i love the lobby bar, the bartender Jorge, and Rocio, are so good with making the drinks!

⭐ An Unforgettable Stay at Dreams Macao ✨🌴

My stay at Dreams Macao was absolutely incredible. The attention to detail from every area of the hotel exceeded my expectations. The food and beverage quality was outstanding, and I especially loved the Italian restaurant — it was charming, elegant, and the dishes were exceptional. 🍝✨

I’ve been a loyal Dreams customer for years, having previously stayed at Dreams Onyx and Dreams Cap Cana, but I can honestly say that this property has been my favorite so far. 🌟

I also want to highlight the excellent service from my butler, Dargeny, who was always attentive and ensured everything went smoothly throughout my stay. Additionally, Marcelo Landy consistently went above and beyond to make sure my family had fun and enjoyed wonderful experiences during our time at the resort. 🙌💙

Overall, this was an unforgettable stay, and I truly look forward to returning soon. 🏖️✨

Very good staff, the service is very good. Wanderline was so nice and very helpfull with everything.

Note: This hotel is very good for go with children, not for couples. And if you go, highly recommend get the preferred club.

It rained every day we were there. I know that was out of the resorts hands but it still put a damper on our trip. Also the sales presentation/pitch also took most of my day. I don't think that should be a part of anyone's stay. Even though they were polite it still felt very much pressured.

The room was in poor condition, the bathtub was dirty, the bed was broken, the toilet overflowed, and the outlets didn’t work. These weren’t isolated issues; they happened on three separate occasions, and each time I had to call twice just to get someone to respond. Even then, the problems were barely addressed.

I requested cleaning and maintenance multiple times, left for hours, and returned to find nothing done. The service was consistently unprofessional; staff were dismissive and rude. At the buffet, an employee rolled their eyes when I asked a question, and when I tried to order room service for the first time, I was rudely asked if I was “ordering again.”

If you don’t upgrade to Preferred, they treat you like you don’t matter. I know this because I stayed as Preferred for two nights, then switched to non-Preferred to be with the wedding party — the difference in treatment was night and day. Staff seemed more focused on upselling and squeezing every dime out of guests than providing decent service. For an “all-inclusive” resort, it’s ridiculous how much they try to upcharge.

Overall, the experience was unacceptable. The lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and courtesy made my stay frustrating and uncomfortable. I will not be returning.

Property is great. Most of the staff are very nice and helpful.

Food is hit or miss. Ignore the sushi stuff it's always hot and humid so eat that at your own risk.
Getting the preferred rooms will make the experience so much better.

I had some money in my bag in the room and when housekeeping cleaned the room they went thru my bag and took all of the money.

I really enjoyed the entertainment staff who made the stay extra enjoyable. Tairi, Mosquito and Diamond were very joyful and friendly with us and our family. They went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time there. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a resort experience and I would return as well.
