Clean room, small but not cramped, the location was good with shops, restaurants and metro stops nearby. The staff was polite and friendly. The only negative was the size of the shower being very small with a door that did not contain the water. The first day the floor got drenched and we had to use towels to sop it up. After that, we adjusted to holding the shower nozzle to rinse and turning the water off in between. This appears to be common across Europe.

Although the rooms are rather smallish, the hotel itself is more like a boutique property with charm. It's nicely located in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and shops within half a block's walk. The breakfast buffet they put out was wonderful with plenty of options. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. They stored our luggage prior to check-in so we could explore the area. They have a 24-hour concierge available at the front desk. We will definitely consider this hotel if/when we visit again.

Great, cozy stay

The hotel was exactly what I needed for a solo stay that I extended from a previous hotel. I wanted to stay as close to the 6th without spending too much and this hotel was exactly what I needed. I knew I was going to spend most of my time out in the city and although the room seemed small at first glance, when I opened the curtains and the tall traditional Paris-style windows to the courtyard, the room seemed so much bigger. For a couple that still likes each other, this room would still work. The air-conditioner did its just when it was needed and the staff were so friendly. The location was very close to the Métro and trainstation and close to many restaurants. It also had a fridge that I was not expecting. The only thing that I did not like as much was having to leave my key at the desk each time I left but this is a typical expectation of historical Parisian-style hotels and not the first place that required this. I would definitely stay again.

We had a problem with dripping water over toilet. Staff wasn't able to fix it. However, the day manager, Edyete let us have a free breakfast, got us some drinks and cakes for next day 5;15am departure. The night before we left, on her own time, she showed us us the place where she eats crepes and where a sovereign shop was for my wife to shop. Outstanding service from her.

This is an amazing little hotel. Perfect location, very close to the city centre around half an hour walk from Louvre museum. Room was very spacious as well as the bathroom and It was spotless.
If I have to find one negative, it would be the elderly gentleman who was at the reception on the day we arrived and he seemed not to like us asking couple questions and seemed quite unfriendly. The gentleman we saw next day was super friendly and booked a taxi for our departure. All in all very happy and will definitely be back. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was especially helpful. They provided special assistance to my husband who has mobility issues. Breakfast buffet was very tasty and with lots of choices.

One thing we missed, though: there were no wash cloths in the bathroom.

Truly a great location with a weekend market half a block away, outdoor cafe tables with a few steps and metro access so easy to use. Our room faced the quiet front street so we enjoyed undisturbed sleep. The staff is excellent - friendly and kind and very helpful providing us with ice upon request (my husband's back was acting up after playing with grandchildren we were visiting in town) and allowing me to hold an afterhours zoom business call in the breakfast area at 11 PM. A small and personal hotel. I strongly recommend!

This is a very charming little boutique, hotel And an excellent area Montparnasse. It has an interesting interesting history, which means it’s a little older. The only complaint I have is that they charge extra for an Nespresso in the morning.

We had to catch a train from Montparnasse in the morning so the location of this hotel was convenient. There are lots of dining options around as well as shopping. The hotel was clean, quiet and the reception staff were welcoming. Good value for money.

Understandably small for european standards. Clean. No air conditioner. Opened windows to bring fresh air and unbelievably quiet. Staff was helpful with directions. Laundromat nearby. Many options for food, but mostly crepe restaurants. Nice grocery store nearby for essentials. Breakfast had fair amount of choices but staff did not refill items promptly so you either waited a long time or just ate what was available.

When we checked in, they had no elevator service. Our room is on the 5th floor. My husband is 70 with heart disease and Parkinson’s. I tried explaining to no avail. We had to make multiple trips with our luggage which meant, I, at 62 had to carry most of the luggage. I asked for another room closer to the lobby but was told NO. The bath had a shower with no partition or curtain. The water floods the floor.

Our WORST Expedia experience. I expect remuneration

The hotel is located in an area that has a lot of eating places as well as close to a weekend market. It has character and is nice area to walk around. The hotel is basic but is clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and can speak English. It is also easily assessible by the metro.

This area is brilliant for access to cafes, restaurants, parks and metro. The hotel staff were very welcoming and super-helpful and family friendly. We took the mini-suite on the top floor - two linked bedrooms (double and twin) and an en-suite. Ideal if you are travelling with one or two children, as they effectively get their own room you can close off if wanted! It's in the roof, so the ceilings slope and you will bang our head at some point around the edges of the room, but we had seen that from the photos already. The rooms are lovely, good aircon too. As it's in the roof, you have to climb one set of stairs after exiting the elevator. Both rooms in the suite have TVs, there's also a fridge and safe. Room is totally quiet too.

Have stayed in this area a few times, but first time in this hotel, which is our new favourite.

We loved this hotel! Authentic! Non touristy location. The Montparnasse neighborhood is fabulous! The street is small but has everything you need. We were surrounded by great cafes, boulangeries, restaurants, boutiques! We were in the mini suite on the top floor. So private and quiet. The staff was fabulous! We will go back!

I didn't particularly find the front Staff that helpful. They couldn't recommend any restaurants for us to have dinner at and knew nothing about any sightseeing tours we could catch close by.

The breakfast was expensive and had little to offer. Definitely not worth it.

This hotel is overrated for the quality of service and hotel amenities.

We really enjoyed the location of this place, right in the theater district. The hotel staff was extremely welcoming and kind. Just about every meal we ate in the neighborhood around the hotel and we never went wrong--great food, for any budget. We had the suite--a double room for the parents and two twins in a separate room for the teens. That worked out great and was budget-friendly. The only drawback was the extreme pitch of the roof in the bathroom...hard to shower standing up! Also, the suite is on the top floor and not disabled-accessible, FYI.

We stayed here for 3 nights and can say I do not have a bad word to say about the hotel. It is in a great location with bars and restaurants within easy walking distance as is the metro station and a major train station. We felt safe in the area at night and the hotel staff we exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The check in process was very quick and efficient. The hotel rooms have all what you need, they are on the small side (understand that is normal in Paris) and there is little storage space which is not a problem for a short break. There was no shampoo or shower gel so had to pop out and get some but not a big issue. There is a only a small lift and the stairs are steep so may not suit those with mobility problems. The beds were comfortable if a little small. We had clean towels provided every day. Value for money I found the hotel very good by Paris standards and would stay there again if visiting Paris.

Nice Boutique Hotel

Room was on top floor, nice view of street, two bedrooms with privacy door and tv in each bedroom. Since room was on the top floor, the ceilings were cantilevered in spots (bathroom for example) so we kept banging our heads in the middle of the night. Overall, cute boutique hotel in a very nice area, several cafes and shops just down the street. Friendly staff. Top floor room accommodated 4 adults.

Room was small but clean and quiet. Bathroom had no bath but tile and shower was clean and appeared new. Some towels were a little shabby, but overall linens were fresh and clean. I do wish there was mention of the smoking rooms, as the smell from some rooms did permeate into our room on occasion. Not overwhelming, but something to consider. Very convenient to many restaurants and a decent neighborhood of Paris.

Friendly, english speaking, desk staff. Clean comfortable room. Metro stops Vavin and Edgar Quinet nearby, also Gare Montparnasse. Many restaurants nearby. Affordable.
Minuses: Noisy plumbing. Slight tobacco odor which could probably be resolved with new carpeting (I'm highly sensitive to the smell, others may not be). Some street noise, but you are in a city.

A very disappointing experience. The noise was horrendous from adjoining suites.I was obliged to hear every bathroom visit of my neighbours, and with the flush it was as if Niagara Falls was next door. The only redeeming features? A pleasant neighbourhood and helpful staff.

We spent a beautiful long weekend in Paris made even more pleasurable by the management and staff of the Hôtel Delambre. The staff were very helpful, and accommodated our various requests with fast and friendly service not always seen in Paris. The area is ideal, close to the Metro and many restaurants and interesting markets.

Had computer/printer and internet access which was also a plus.

The twin beds were very uncomfortable. Construction noise at building next door started early in the mornings.

Honeymoon in Paris

For the price, it was an excellent hotel in a charming neighborhood with grocery stores, fruit markets and restaurants, etc. It was a great location that enabled us to explore and see the City from the metro very easily. The room was small and we knew it would be, but especially in a small room, shelves, drawers and other ways to store our belongings so that we could find them would have been greatly appreciated. It got a little tight having to use our suitcases as drawers. Despite those minor complaints, we thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay. The staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful and they even gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon in Paris. Given our budget and the amount of time we actually spent in the room, it was perfect! Highly recommended.

Most perfect little French hotel

My husband and I loved our stay at the Hotel Delambre. The staff were very friendly and always greeted us with a big smile. Our room was quite small (like many French hotels) but absolutely adorable and truly looked French instead of modern. The location was fantastic. Very close to metros and buses along with the major train station in Paris. We never had to take a cab because everything was so convenient. I'd highly recommend this location. We had a fabulous time.

The hotel was convenient, near the metro, and in a charming neighborhood. We really enjoyed watching the people walking by through our room window.

Very good location - Montparnasse is perhaps the best area of Paris to base yourself in thanks to the vibrant cafés and lack of street hassel.
