Great location if you’re looking to have access to but not stay in central Amsterdam. Parking on site and a quick walk to the metro station. Only a few stops away from central.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They had great attitudes. The room was very clean and organized. Very pretty and comfortable. Amenities were great. Close to the metro. Just not close to food options and not much to do in the area. Very calm though. I really enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

Beds were very small, mattress too soft and they're on wheels so it slid around constantly. Overall place was fine. The room was clean, had all necessary amenities and we could get into city centre via metro very easily. They need to rethink the lighting system, it's just inconvenient having the only light function on an ipad stuck to a wall on one side of the bed.

The bathroom PIR on the first night continued to turn the light on and off all night. Staff were unable to resolve it and I had a terrible nights sleep.
I asked for an iron and ironing board ahead of arriving, and on arrival and still nothing.
The restaurant used to be proud of the steaks it sold - I was very much looking forward to having one again, but the kitchen I’m told has gone vegan!

I used to stay at Postillion very regularly but now I’m not sure I’ll return I’m sad to say.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Postillion and would consider staying there again. The front of house staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The room was nice and a good size.
The cleaning was not that good, they forgot to restock items and we had to ask on a couple of occasions for things to be returned to the room such as towels and water glasses. The shower gel was not refilled and we had to ask front of house. Additonally the air extractors were filled with clumps of dust. Maybe they just don't have the time with it being such a big hotel?
The location is fairly easy to get to. Not the most beautiful area but it's nice and easy with the public transport.

Unlucky while staying the the local metro station was closed. But still a relatively short walk to the next one.

One issue was the light in the bathroom would not shut off. The staff tried to fix this issue but were unable to so was moved to a new room. The issue was looked into very quickly and resolved very quickly. The rest of the stay was uneventful and enjoyable.

Staff was very friendly!! Room was clean, in good shape. AC was out of order while we were there but we got free drinks and free parking on the property for our stay to make up for the inconvenience which was very good and saved us a lot of money. I'd come here again!

The member of staff checking us in decided it was a good idea to serve the three people behind us before serving us to \"give us a better service\". I wasn't going to mention this as when I complained, they gave us free breakfast. Problem is, the breakfast was terrible. I got a bike from them and the guy who sold it to me told me where it was, it wasn't there, so I had to go find him to see where it was, to which he insisted it was where I was, I had to convince him to come and show me, the bike wasn't where he told me, he finally told me where it actually was and when I had cycled halfway to Amsterdam central, I realised it had a hole in the tyre.

The staff are either very angry and obviously don't like you or are very happy and talkative, there is no in-between. Everyone I met from the bar was amazing but all the male staff on the front desk were standoffish and not welcoming in the slightest.

The area around the hotel is a bit deserted as it looks like it's being built, but there is a metro station about 5 min walk away to get anywhere you need.

This hotel is very pretty, it has good facilities, the room was a lot smaller than I thought, but had a great view but the staff massively let it down. I booked one specific room about 3 months before the stay and got asked which room I wanted to stay in when I got there. He even tried to downgrade my room (we paid for the best one).

All in all, this hotel was ok at best.

We had 2 adjoining rooms, which was great for family stay. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. Air conditioning in one of the rooms did not work properly, it was very cold first even when we tried to change the temperature, it made no difference. The hotel reception was very helpful and turned the cooling off, however, it was way too warm then, and even when we tried to put temperature to 19, it was still going up as high as 25 degrees. We had to sleep with windows open. Other than that everything was great. There’s a metro nearby that takes you to the central station within few minutes so it was very easy to get around the city.

I never write reviews, but I did for Postillion. My stay was great. The room decor, and high rise views were nice. The room was clean and quiet! They area is walkable and near public transportation. The staff was also nice as well. No complaints at all. I enjoyed this hotel.

I had a great experience at this hotel. The area is filled with different hotels offering various prices and services.
The hotel is clean and the staff is very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. One thing to note is that the toilet wasn't sealed, which was different from what I'm used to in the US. Also, remember to bring your own toothbrush as the hotel doesn't provide one.
The breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of pastries, beverages, and meats. The restaurant menu is small, but they have everything listed. However, the service might be a bit slow, so be prepared to wait for your food. In the meantime, I recommend trying their delicious bread!

really clean and professional looking hotel. Helpful and informative staff. Convenient distance from two metro stations which operate 24hrs a day. Clean and tidy room with towels replenished as often as needed. Quiet in the evenings with black out curtains that can be controlled via a control panel next to the bed allowing a restful sleep. Even had a TV in the bathroom!

The overall hotel was nice but due to the lack of proper cleaning the first room I was assigned to had carpet beetles (I found two) in between the bedsheets when I did an inspection before sleeping in it. Was assigned a new room and was notified that after each person’s stay a proper cleanup was made after guests with pets. In the new room although at first glance it appears clean, upon closer inspection I noticed LOADS of crumbs.debris and pet hair in the crevices of the mini couch and I noticed a mysterious puddle/stain on the mattress. It looked like oxidized blood(menstrual blood??). The mattress under the single bedsheet also had human hair strewn around and again, pet hair on the decorative blue bed cover by the feet of the bed. I was initially promised a compensation for the sudden room change by concierge under management but i received absolutely nothing and just paranoia for more bugs to be honest.

I stayed here when i went to the Taylor Swift concert at Johan Cruyff Arena. The room itself was perfect - with great lighting/mirrors to get ready. It was a 7 min walk to the metro, which conveniently took you right into the heart of Amsterdam. Would definitely stay here again!

Just the one night but a very comfortable stay. The only downside being its distance from Amsterdam centre. We made the mistake of walking rather than catching the metro which did though give us the opportunity to see parts of the city we wouldn’t normally visit.

Great hotel at a reasonable price. Super modern; everything is controlled through an electronic panel. It's convenient, although it takes some time to understand how everything works. Everything works, including electronic curtains and blinds. The hot water is very hot and immediate (although the water pressure is somewhat weak). The staff is friendly at all levels. Good breakfast. Convenient location (5 minutes' walk to the metro 20 minutes to the city center). It would be nice, of course, to have some small extras, like a piece of good soap, bottles of pleasantly scented shampoo and conditioner, maybe even a plastic shoe horn or a little chocolate on a bed, upon check-in. But overall, it's a very good hotel. Recommended.

The hotel itself is very nice. Clean and well maintained. Bed was very comfortable. Free parking is also a bonus.

But cons are that it's far from the city center. There's nothing nearby, not even cafes or supermarkets.
The service was also not that friendly. I visited during storm Eunice, worst storm in years with trains and flights all cancelled. Because of this, I couldn't make it to my first night. The hotel did not do anything to accommodate this such as offer reimbursement or discounts for an additional night. Of course the weather is out of their control, but they could have been more sympathetic towards the situation. They told me if I extended my stay they would do so at the same rate - so charging me the weekend rate for a Sunday night.
Went to another hotel instead and received much friendlier service at less cost.

Room was very comfortable, nice desk space to work on with well placed plugs.
All the lights (and curtains?!) are controlled by a fancy touch screen.
Gym is small but you can make do. There are no free weights.
I only ate a pizza when I was there and that was fine.
Didn't look like there was much to do in the surrounding area but the metro station is 5 mins away and only takes 20 minutes to get into Amsterdam Centraal.

Amazing hotel and the staff are all brilliant! Very good location to the centre (only 15 mins by metro). Rooms are beautiful and the the hotel reception is also beautiful. Staff were very nice and friendly.
The only problem we had was, we had a king bed in our room but had 2 single duvets and there was no dressing gowns.

Located about 5km from the city center, the Postillion is a modern, trendy hi rise located in an industrial area. Getting to and from the centrum is no problem by bike or public transportation. The area is quiet and interesting. There are warehouses all around a well as 2 CrossFit gyms. The hotel has a nice but small gym equipped with a spin bike and treadmill as well as other machines. I was very happy with the staff, particularly Dinos who was able to arrange for a pizza with my favorite topping, which was not listed.
