The staff was excellent. The room was clean and bed was comfortable, but the pillows were unusually hard -- I like a firm supportive pillow, but these were not comfortable at all. The hotel is conveniently located -- great Korean coffee shop in the small mall across the street. Also nice area to walk around along the water closeby. I would stay again.

The room, pool, fitness facilities, breakfast and location made it a great stay! Comfortable bed and bedding and the room was furnished well with places to stow belongings so they weren't underfoot. The breakfast had many options, all tasty. Check- in was hectic, very crowded and slow with overburdened staff, but check-out was quick and pleasant.

Great view of the New Years fireworks going off the Marina Bay Sands. Is close to the lower end of town and a shoetwalk to the mrt.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. For a 5 star rated hotel, the standard rooms were small, with very little space for unpacked clothes. One needs to live out of a suitcase. The bathroom drain control was loose - and was a challenge to use. A nicer shower curtain would be an improvement, rather the sheet of plastic used.

Room was okay. Smaller than what it looks like in the pictures. Probably the only hotel in Asia that does not have a health faucet next to the toilet.
Coffee shop staff rude & condescending. Front desk staff unhelpful and discourteous. Even something as simple as wanting change - they flatly say we don’t keep any .. which is bizarre for a hotel.

Concierge team is excellent - the other staff should learn manners from them.

I booked my stay based on the hotel having a large pool with big cushions on the loungers. I was disappointed to discover they have not had them for a long time. The chairs were designed to have cushions. The pool had a lot of chipped and broken tiles. The room was ok but nothing special. Not a great 5 star hotel

Hotel did nothing about a noisy neighbour who was on their phone shouting from 1AM till 6AM. Despite multiple calls throughout the night nothing was done. They also have a number of fines and house rules like student accommodation. In reality this is run like a budget hotel with a pool.

Lovely Hotel in great location. Handy for MRT & buses. Easy riverside walk to city marina bay and gardens. Plenty of eateries in the area and a lovely supermarket in the mall opposite to stock up the fridge. The only downside was small restaurant and no comfy lounge or bar area to relax in other than reception lobby or pool area ( unless you pay a premium for club rooms ). Also don’t buy a tourist card for transport as all buses and mrt take contactless cards ( tap in and out ) .. dirt cheap travel.

Very pleasant hotel in great location - walking distance from Clarke Quay activity but far enough away to avoid noise and late night activities there if you wish. Small but clean, very comfortable rooms with all the facilities you would expect at 5 star level. Enjoyed our stay, but rate 4 out of 5 for avfew reasons that may matter less to you a) no a la carte breakfast option ( full buffet or nothing), other \"unusual responses\" at restaurant - when returning late afternoon on a hot humid Saturday attempting to order cold drinks and ice cream, was \"we dont do dessert on weekends\". Service in general very polite but sometimes not responsive. A small oversight in house keeping, not replenishing toilet paper becomes frustrating when an hour after calling to request more TP, a guest can use bathroom functionality as no TP has arrived. None of these is huge deal but taken collectively for me prevents straight 5 star rating. However overall very pleasant stay

Overall had a good stay at the hotel, friendly staff and quiet environment. The hotel is in a convenient location to get the trains, buses and a taxi without hassle. Lots of restaurants located at Clarke quay just few minutes away from the hotel. When I arrived at the property I was tired and jet lagged and it took close to 30minutes for me to just check in to my room because there was a queue of other guests also checking in, i believe they can work on that to be faster
The only thing I didn’t like is that the housekeeping was cleaning the room as late as 4-5pm this would be the time I got back to my room to refresh and go to my next location only to find they haven’t cleaned the room yet. It was a bit of an inconvenience when I wanted to prepare and they came knocking to clean up at that hour.

The hotel is located between Clark and Robertson Quay. Apart from good quality restaurants along the river and a small shopping mall across the road from the hotel, the area is very quiet.
Our room, whilst small, was comfortable, very clean and had good air con. Unfortunately we overlooked a construction site across the road so noise and privacy were an issue. Management did offer us a room change but my husband spent most of our visit in bed with a virus so we were unable to accept.
Pool area is very pleasant. Breakfast was quite good, although it took me three days to realize there was an area elsewhere providing cooked eggs.
Overall, this is a high quality hotel with courteous staff and comfortable facilities.

Almost perfect for our business trip, other than the fridge which operates at room temperature at best and the sewer smell that comes from the pipes in the washroom. Other than that, it meets our expectations and then some. Friendly staff that are fairly responsive (except with the fridge issue)
Great pool if you are swimmer and like to do laps.
Decent restaurants and proximity to clark/ boat quay adds to the value.
Breakfast and drinks are above average cost - many other options around.
Rates are decent value

Three night stop over. Our panoramic river view room was as per our booking. The views were great, however, the t.v. takes up a lot of space which detracts from the view. The bed was comfy. The transparent glass panel btwn the bathroom and bed is out-dated and the roller blind in the shower cannot be cleaned properly. Breakfast had a good selection and was well presented. The pool area was good with plenty of lounges. Location is great, close to transport, restaurants and shopping. The food and drinks in the club lounge were a good quality and plentiful and the staff were great. Some communications with Reception for minor issues were frustrating. Overall very good and would stay again.

We had a good four night stay; the room was nice and the amenities were solid. The only issue was a kids soccer team was staying there the same time as us and the pool was overtaken by rowdy, loud kids all day so it wasn’t super relaxing sitting by the pool when we wanted some down time. The best part of my stay was being able to get a room in the evening for 30 minutes to take a shower. My flight was very late and I had a long day at an expo, so I really needed a shower and they did not give me a key to the gym, they gave me a key to a real room where I had space to lay my things out and take a much needed shower.

Robertson hotel on the river.

Robertson hotel was a wonderful experience in a colonial style but modern building. Amenities included good sized open air pool, gym, reading/relaxation rooms, etc concierge took our bags to our room and didn't stop for a tip!
Concierge also gave us local knowledge which made the stay more productive.
Breakfast, though not cheap, was varied, plentiful and excellent, with a lot of local produce that set us up for the day.
Reception was the only disappointment as it was usually understaffed at peak times which meant long waits to see anyone. Overall a lovely place to stay.

The room is outdated and you can see the visible wear and tear (like the toilet sets, the spots growing on the caulk around the shower). And most importantly, the room has a musky smell and it did not dissipate throughout the night.

Hotel is in a good location. Easy access to Clarke Quay, MRT and bus service. Plenty of bars and eating places nearby. Downside was cleanliness of room at check-in - had to request carpet hoovered as covered in bits and sweet wrappers from previous occupants. Also faucet in bathroom had toothpaste from previous occupant. As is standard practice I left a dirty towel on floor of shower to find after housekeeping it was still there even though clean towels left

Hotel staff were efficient but some were not very personable. There was nowhere in the hotel to relax other than my room. There is a reading room which would have been a nice place to chill but I was told it was not included in my booking. The room was empty. Only one supply of complimentary water for the whole stay. During dinner one evening my unfinished meal and drink were cleared away while I was in the toilet. One evening was a steak night when you are served 2 or 3 different types of steak. In order to discourage waste customers have to pay 100 dollars for every 100g of meat not eaten. This is unnecessarily punitive given that the portions are excessive. Too many negatives for me to recommend despite being a good location.

On arrival the hotel looks very impressive and the lobby area is very well kept however it's when you get into the rooms you realise they are a little bit tired now and the first ring we were given a black mould on the ceilings and walls Terry asked to be moved which we were. On arrival we queued for 25 minutes to check in. Our panoramic room was very nice, a little small but had a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The Club Lounge was good, evening cocktails were plentiful. Having read the warninga about how busy the breakfast room would be we went early but still had to queue to get in and then queue for the only coffee machine . We abandoned the idea and went for breakfast with fewer options in the lounge. Check out was also slow. The staff don't really aeem interested in the guests, it's not a particularly friendly hotel. For the price we paid we had expected alot more.

The concierge and availability of house keeping staff is terrible. I understand that everyone gets busy but there should always be someone dedicated to answering the phone for guests. I had to walk down to concierge one morning because no one in house keeping was answering the phone and no one at the front desk was answering either. So if you need something right away, you may not get it on time. The property was lovely though.
