Paid extra for a nicer room, didn’t expect much but was heavily disappointed even if we didn’t pay the extra. Room was incredibly small, barely managing to fit 2 small people.

As we entered, the curtains were suspiciously closed only for us to open them to a shocking view of the fan units that ended up haunting us all night meaning neither of us got any sleep.

The room was lacking amenities even down to no toothpaste… i have never been to a hotel without toothpaste. Unequipped and barely held together by the obviously decades old fixtures.

A pathetic excuse for a hotel room..

Stock for very nice and helpful. I had a single room and it is very small. Perfectly adequate as I was only here to sleep. I was very surprised that when I came back on my second day, later at night, the room had not been cleaned. The bedside light is great, but they’ll need to leave instructions on how to work it!

Nothing deluxe about our deluxe double room 411. Poor layout, no space around the bed which was against exterior wall. Top of the wardrobe covered in heavy dust. Hot water control erratic in shower scalding hot or cold. Fridge in room didn't chill drinks in 2 days. Bar was never open, no facilities better to add some vending machines. Staff were friendly. Would never return, felt hotel description was very misleading - Nothing Grand!

The location was good, close to Paddington Station and lot of small restaurants and stores. But the hotel room was very small. The entry way to the room and elevator had an old place odor. a/c did not work. It was hot although it was nice and cool outside.
They did not clean the room the second day because we had not pushed the person button, which we did not know. We thought they will clean my default.

I arrived at the hotel to be told I was being put in a different hotel, which was a £15 cab ride away. I had no email to warn me about this. The hotel I went to was shabby and in a totally different location to where I needed to be. In the morning my room had no electricity so couldn’t dry my hair. Also the manual lock on my door didn’t work. Worst experience I have ever had in a hotel. I have had no financial compensation despite the receptionist at the first hotel taking my email and promising to contact me with details of this.

The staff were pleasant but I have to say the room they put in left something to be desired. I was okay that the one window didn't have a view but the single pane window meant that I could hear the generators on a near by roof all night long. Also the heating in the room often LEFT via that single pain of glass. Fix that and it would be okay that I had a tiny little room.

The club room was very comfortable and clean. The only suggestion I have is checking the WiFi specifically in room 504. For whatever reason it would not connect and when it did, it came in short bursts. I asked if it could get fixed but nothing really seemed to change. It didn’t bother me too much since I was out a majority of the day, but when I was indoors I had to rely mostly on data.

Don't trust the pictures of their rooms-web site

We paid for a triple room with 2 beds. When we got there they gave us a room with a very uncomfortable cot. There was supposed to be a twin bed, not a cot 18\" off the flow. It was definitely a room for 2 as we had no room whatsoever to move around. The pictures at booking were very deceiving.

We booked a club twin but given a triple room in the basement which was a rabbit warren of corridors. staff friendly and tried to be helpful but seemed to not understand listing said dressing gowns but there were none. Website for hotel also said fruit platter for the room we paid for but nothing (perhaps you only get that when booking direct). Breakfast was fine. Room had a funny smell and cleaned kept setting thermostat to 24 so it was unbearably hot when coming back in evening, thankfully the air con worked. I have stayed in better or similar 3 star hotels. Worst thing was when I was enquiring about the room I left my daughter in the room with a friend who was not staying with us but lives in London and joining us for dinner, and a staff member burst into the room with no explanation just a sorry

On check in, my credit card was swiped for payment. After a 20 minute wait I was advised I couldn’t have my room due to ‘maintenance issues’. I was taken to a different hotel nearby and given a room there, but Park Grand still charged me for a stay I didn’t have. Having rang and requested a refund, they asked me to email and put it into writing and they’d look into it. I’m currently emailing them daily as they refuse to acknowledge my emails and haven’t processed a refund yet.

At this stage I’ve paid two hotels for one night stay and am not happy!

My room was very small and didn’t feel like a 4-star hotel. There was hair in my sink when I arrived. The wifi was shocking, very slow and you couldn’t even look something up on Google maps or go on social media. One of the lights above the bed was flickering and I did report it. The staff at reception told me they’d look into it but the flickering remained during my entire stay…

I was also woken up at midnight by two people, who rang my doorbell repeatedly and tried to get into my room.

Don’t stay in a basement room as you can hear footsteps from the floor above…

Great and concenient stay for Wembley concerts

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and accomodating. We were kindly offered complimentary breakfast on checkin but kindly declined as we had prior plans. We returned late after a concert and the staff went and got us some biscuits and fruit which was so lovely. Our room was clean and had everything we needed including a microwave! A little tired looking in some places but not unclean. Beds were super comfy and the water was hot. Would stay again 🙂

I should’ve had to begin with, but this was after sitting around in the lobby, being ignored being treated poorly and challenged by the staff because I wouldn’t accept the hobbit rooms.

On arrival there was confusion about my booking. For a \"deluxe\" single room it was disappointing. At breakfast there were paper cups for the orange juice and water. Breakfast was also not that great. There was no lift to the 4th floor where my room was. The room was very hot, and the only positive was that the hotel was in a fairly quiet street and close to Paddington.

Checking in was a nightmare. Took forever to find bookings, then tried to move a colleague to another hotel. 2 colleagues ended up with bad rooms - one in a basement and neither were the level they paid for.
Rooms extremely hot, no way to cool them. Breakfast service was shocking. Prices extortionate.

I only stayed for one night but the room suited my needs and was very pleasant.
I pre ordered breakfast with the booking which i thought was great value with a great choice of food.
Location of the hotel was great with access to the underground only about a seven minute walk away. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel rooms were among the smallest I’ve ever stayed in—there was barely enough space to open my suitcase. However, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean, which made it sufficient for just sleeping in.

Breakfast was okay—not exceptional, but enough to start the day off right.

The staff were friendly and generally helpful, though not always fully transparent.

The hotel itself shows signs of age, with noticeable wear and tear throughout the property.

In summary: If your main goal is to explore London and you’re not planning to spend much time in the room, this hotel is a decent and affordable option. However, if comfort and space are important to you, or you plan to relax in the room, you might want to look elsewhere.

I like that it is quite, however it is not soundproof if someone is passing by your door.
The room was clean and the they provide everything you need.

The elevator wouldn't reach my room, so I had to to take the stairs up to 2nd floor, but I would not mind it.

No elevator! And 20 min queuing for breakfas

I was shocked to discover that this hotel doesn’t have an elevator for certain rooms on higher floors, and no, it wasn’t out of order or under maintenance. There simply isn’t one!

When I checked in, the staff informed me that my room was on the 3rd floor of an extension building with no lift access. That meant I had to carry my luggage up the stairs and go up and down every time I left or returned to the room. Some parts of the hotel do have elevators, but unfortunately, my section didn’t.

To make things worse, the next morning at breakfast, I had to wait in a long queue for at least 20 minutes just to get a table. Once seated, the staff were clearly rushing guests to eat quickly and leave, so they could free up space.

As a frequent traveler who regularly stays in this area, I can honestly say this was my worst experience so far. The price was the same as nearby hotels, but without any of the convenience or comfort. There was no value for money whatsoever.

Location was good to travel to and from Heathrow. Neighborhood ok. Price was ok.

The hotel is ideal for events in Hydepark 10 minutes from Lancaster Gate underground. We booked a compact room and that was an error. The room is indeed compact but the bed is super compact! Not ideal for 2 middle aged people. The air con was welcome and the bathroom was well modernised

The property was in a great location but that’s pretty much it. Our AC in the room did not work, when we ordered room service no one told us it would be delivered to the front desk (not room service obviously), and overall was an older hotel. I wish I read the reviews before booking a stay here, the hotel was run down and not up to a 4 star hotel. More like a 2 star hotel. Staff were friendly & had a wide array for breakfast.

The area is nice and close to Paddington Station so super convenient, staff was nice. The beds were literally the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in, the pillows are also cheap and hard. They advertise AC but it’s controlled by the front and I was ignored when I called and asked for them to turn it down. The room had a fridge and it was very clean, if only the bed was more comfortable this place would be perfect.

Quick and easy check in, friendly staff. Hotel was clean and tidy and included a tea and coffee station, a small fridge and packs with toothbrushes and toothpaste and shower caps. The bathroom also had very nice shampoo and conditioner. Unfortunately we were in a basement room so the view was of a grimy brick wall and the rooms werent very sound proof at all. When it rained the toilet gurgled and splashed so much we had to keep the lid closed.

Really good location. We were there attending a concert in the park really easy to get too. Also easy to get to paddington for getting around to see the sights. Hotel room was lovely and was clean!

As far as convenient location goes this property is excellent. However, it’s a bit frayed around the edges and needs some care particularly the loose carpeting on the stairs, which is a trip hazard. This property has plenty of stairs so be warned. Staff was friendly and helpful, but really couldn’t deal with an issue I had regarding housekeeping, leaving a bag of garbage in the middle of my room when I presented it to the front desk. That was a first…. All in all there are properties in the area. I will try one of those next time.

Really enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and modern. Not enormous but big enough for two. Fridge, microwave, iron, and hair dryer in the room. We even receive a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates which was a lovely touch.
Communal areas need modernising a little, like the bar area and staircase but would definitely stay here again.
