Our vacation was disappointing from check-in. Staff immediately tried to upsell us to other rooms, then sent us to a desk to “redeem” resort credits. This turned out to be a sales desk trying to book us for a membership presentation — not called a timeshare, but very similar. The advertised credits are also not as straightforward as they seem; only certain amounts can be used at the spa or toward select shop items.
Our room was okay, but there was a leak from the floor whenever we used the sink, so maintenance had to come in. The minibar and 24-hour room service were great and included. Housekeeping was excellent, and nightly turndown was a nice touch. Onsite cafe was lovely.
Outside the room, service was less responsive. Room service plates left outside other rooms attracted many bugs and were not cleaned up for over half a day.
The golf course spa was lovely, and my 50-minute massage was excellent, though still $75 USD after credits. The buffet had good variety, but quality was hit or miss, there was no hand sanitizer at the entrance, and drink service was very slow. Pools were nice and poolside staff were friendly, but service was slow and drinks were watered down.
We were there for a family wedding and recommend getting everything in writing and checking details carefully. Issue resolution, especially with the PR/wedding department, was frustrating. Overall, the trip could have been much better with less upselling and more focus on guest experience.

We have stayed at 3 other palace properties and this one is making us think twice about ever returning to a palace property. We had 2 rooms and so many little things go wrong
that cumulatively we really disliked this place…no working ac in our first two rooms (apparently a problem property wide if you google it—had to switch rooms), tvs that didn’t work correctly in 2 of 4 rooms, broken remotes, tub that took 30min to fill and then forever to drain, aging property that needs renovation, one person got food poisoning, and they no longer cater to gf people. Anyways, we have loved palace resorts in the past, but would never recommend Nizuc or Sunrise. (Also, not their fault, but there is no beach due to the seaweed. The water is coffee brown and smells horrible.)

We had such an amazing experience at this hotel from beginning to end. Everything truly exceeded our expectations.

Our concierge Hugo was incredibly attentive, helpful, and always made sure we were taken care of during our stay. The service overall throughout the resort was excellent.

The food was honestly one of the highlights of the trip. The buffet was always delicious with so many options, and Carvão restaurant was absolutely amazing as well. But Trattoria definitely became our favorite restaurant during the stay — the atmosphere, food, and service were all outstanding.

Another huge plus for families is the kids’ playroom. It was amazing, super entertaining, clean, and made the experience so much better for the children and for us as parents.

The entire hotel was beautiful, clean, relaxing, and very well maintained. We truly enjoyed every part of our vacation and would absolutely come back again. Highly recommend for couples and families alike!

Huge shoutout to Cesar at the pool who literally helped me with everything, he was always quick to bring a drink or food item when empty handed and any information I asked this guy had an answer. Seriously, I have stayed at a few spots and this pool bartender Cesar was the best host I have ever had the experience with. I would go back here just for that alone.

Sales guys drove us crazy. Won't leave us alone in selling a come back coupon that they sell for $399 US. DO NOT ATTEND the presentation it ruined the whole day

We opted in for Dolphin show and they didn't provide clear instructions on pickup and we have to pay additional out of pocket to make it to our show. While mistake can be attributed on both sides equally their out right refusal to help paying customers was an awful experience

Love all restaurants, the drinks are really good!! They had clase azul and 1942 for an up charge. Don Julio reposado and way more liquor options included. The arcade is also all inclusive which in many other resorts they are not. Some pools are also heated with is a plus for me. Overall very good resort!

unfortunately i had a disappointing experience. One of the main issues was the lack of halal food options. As a guest with specific dietary requirements, I expected at least some consideration or clear labeling, but there were no suitable choices available, which made dining very difficult during my stay.

Another major inconvenience was absence of elevators. Carrying luggage and moving between floors became exhausting, especially in the heat. This is something that should be clearly stated beforehand or addressed to improve guest comfort.

Additionally, the transportation within the resort, such as the golf carts, was extremely slow and unreliable. We often had to wait much longer than expected, which wasted a lot of time.

Overall, the hotel has potential, but these issues significantly impacted my experience. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works on improving them for future guests.

Total scam. Do not go or attend their sales pitch for membership. At the end you will not get what they promised. Once you sign the contract all their words and promises stars to fall one by one. It is not a good feeling to see your hard earned thousands of dollar go to trash in an hour or two. My only suggestion do not get trap into their few hundred dollar bait to loose your thousands of dollar.

Unfortunately my family vacation at moon palace was not what we hoped for. We booked this family trip in Jan 2026. Upon our arrival it I was advised by check in that my room was at a different property 15 minutes away. Needless to say this was very upsetting seeing that I am a senior citizen and wanted to be close with my family. Their only solution was for me to pay an additional $1000 and I would be able to have a room close to my family, which was not the case. I was four rooms down.. however this is not the only situation that has discouraged me from making a repeat trip. Lounge chairs at poolside were never available. We discovered ants in the room on the second day and the most important thing no one mentioned in the advertisement that there was no elevator and we needed to walk up three flights every day for a senior citizen, this could be very troubling. I am in the process of requesting my thousand dollars back and have reached out to my financial advisor to assist me in this matter you have a response to this will be very appreciated. Thank you.

Do not spend your vacation here. Within one minute upon arrival we were basically forced to do a tour of the property to get “credits”. The credits are restrictive and we could not use one dollar. They then sat us done for two hours to get to pitch the sale of becoming a “member”. The initial price started at approx 70.000 US Dollars by the third salesperson the price went down 80%. Total scam. The hotel false advertises. We literally did not eat for two nights. Instead of explaining how their internal three hotel system works they were focused on selling weeks to us. I spent more time on the phone trying to get a reservation for dinner then I did ever eating. Out of 16 restaurants they could not accommodate a family of three with a young child until 9:45 every night - yet you go to the restaurants and they were empty. The entire 300 acres and three hotels were old and outdated and constantly a mess. Upon arrival our room was filthy and we were greeted by a dead roach under the tissue holder and a bathtub that was so dirty we used it for our dirty clothes. The beds were horrible, the pillows and lines were stained and did not smell fresh. We had an ocean front with a king size bed and a roll away bed. The roll away had dirty wheels and a base next to your head. The staff was flat-out rude at all times. We resorted to room service and we tried

Overall, our stay at Moon Palace Nizuc was great. Our two pre teen sons loved it! The food was good, pools were awesome. Rooms were cleaned. But mostly service was wonderful!!!! It was nice having the multiple resorts to go between. The only downfall was the ocean, it was stinky and dirty... But the beautiful pools made up for it! Also quick trip to and from airport so that was nice too!

We negotiated a room upgrade from Garden View to Sea Facing using credits from the membership presentation. The process was handled poorly by staff:

Lack of Communication: They wouldn't tell us where the new room would be, and it wasn't assigned until the next day.

Inconvenient Location: Our first room was perfectly located near the lobby, pool, and front desk. This \"upgraded\" room is much further away, a detail the front desk completely ignored. We were so tired of moving that we didn't want to change again, but the distance is a daily annoyance.

Poor Bed Quality: The room came with a King and temporary beds. For anyone with any height, these temporary beds are way too small and uncomfortable.

This was an amazing overall experience at Moon Palace. It was great to be able to let our teenagers roam around between the resorts without worrying. My son played basketball all day and made a bunch of new friends. The food was excellent and there was so much varitey. We are going nack to the Sunrise resort next year as we stayed at Nizuc this year.

We had ants swarming food items in our room twice on a 6 day trip. These had only sat out for a few minutes before we were going to begin eating and the ants ruined them.

Our TV also wouldn’t screen mirror or connect to the internet. Maintenance came to try and get behind some password protected settings menus, but couldn’t figure it out and told me they were forwarding it to their IT team. That was on day 2 and we never heard anything else about the TV. Had to watch our show on an iPad propped up in the bed in the evenings.

AC wouldn’t get very cold. I had it set to 65 but it said the temp was about 72 the whole time. Woke up sweating most mornings.

Most of the pools weren’t heated either which left them freezing cold until late in the afternoon, even when it was 80 degrees starting at 10am.

This is my scond time to go to Moon palace Cancun, in general I really like the resort, friendly staff & swimming pools.
I tried both Sunrise & Nizuc for stay both are beautiful & clean. If you will ask me which one I will choose between the two, Sunrise is better pools & resturants & newer facilities. The 3 hotels in this resorts are great. Kids & adults will Love the place.

We stayed at The Grand and then Nizuc. There is absolutely no comparison between the two. We would never stay at Nizuc again. The service and staff were great. But early in the morning the outside smelled like urine, obviously from the spring breakers staying there. The rooms are so small compared to The Grand. We will never book Nizuc again.

They have several beautiful pools, each offering different activities, which makes the stay even more enjoyable.

This was our second stay at Moon Palace, and we noticed the food quality has dipped since our last visit eight years ago. While we appreciated the membership team sticking to their 90 minute limit, the vendors in the lobby were a different story. A day before checkout, we were approached by very pushy staff selling discounted coupons. I understand they have a job to do, but they need to respect guests' boundaries and accept 'no' for an answer.

Se destaca por las hermosas visuales y la gran amabilidad de todas las personas que trabajan alli. Las actividades son muy buenas y variadas. Hay multiples opciones para todas las edades.
La comida es un 10, super variada, rica, y abundante, hay para todos los gustos.

Great service fresindly Great service, friendly staff, and the hotel is clean. The lobby is great; on the other hand, the rooms are in separate buildings and a bit outdated, so lots of walking! The beach itself is clean, but the water is murky, had lots of chopped-up seaweed, and larger tractors driving by picking up seaweed on the daily at all hours.

We had an amazing stay at Moon Palace Cancún! There is truly so much for kids to do — our family was never bored for a second. The restaurants were fantastic with so many options to choose from, and everything we tried was delicious.

One thing that really stood out was how seriously they take food allergies. My husband has both gluten and dairy allergies, and every single restaurant was incredibly careful and accommodating. No matter where we ate, the staff made sure he felt safe and taken care of, which gave us so much peace of mind.

What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the people. Every staff member we encountered was kind, helpful, and genuinely warm. The service was outstanding.

The only watch-out is that they do strongly encourage you to attend a membership presentation. Based on our experience, we can see why people join — it’s a wonderful property — but we personally prefer not to feel locked into anything long term.

Overall, an incredible family vacation and we would absolutely return!

Bedding and pillows smelled moldy
Every single person in the lobby would approach us trying to sell us something or get us to go on a tour of the more expensive resort; after we told them no like 10x they still called our room and woke us up in the morning and kept persisting; at the end of the trip someone asked us for a review and when we told him, he apologized for the “pushiness” and proceeded to try to sell us on putting down a $300 deposit for a future stay. This place wreaked of a used car dealership and we will never return because of it.

The food was amazing and the restaurant and entertainment staff are awesome but I’d rather pay more to enjoy my vacation and not be constantly given the hard upsell on everything.

The staff at the Sunrise playroom were great; the Nizuc playroom staff were rude and after they lost my daughter, they didn’t seem to care at all and then treated her like garbage the next time she was there.

Also we personally prefer a smaller walkable resort, here you have to take a golf cart almost everywhere.

Clean hotel with quick room service and an awesome staff. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay.

However, the timeshare sales approach was a bit too aggressive. “No” should mean no. I had just arrived and was heading to grab a cocktail when they tried to redirect me to “finish check-in” with the timeshare team — which was really just a sales pitch to purchase a timeshare.

The airport shuttle is not complimentary, which was disappointing.

The resort is family-friendly, but the music selection wasn’t very diverse. The food was okay.

Overall, a decent stay, perfect for family with young kids.

What a great place for vacation. Excellent for couples, families, large and small groups. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. There is an abundance of restaurant choices, both elegant and casual. The food is very good. The grounds are meticulously maintained as is the beach. So many activities to choose from amd there is even a minigolf course. Could not recommend this place enough. Can't get bored here even if you tried.

The beds were extremely small and completely unsuitable for two adults. We constantly felt like we were going to fall off. The mattress was the worst quality we have ever experienced and caused serious back pain. We stayed for 7 nights and complained multiple times, but nothing was done and the mattress was never changed. This is unacceptable for an all-inclusive resort and absolutely not worth the price.

Moon Palace Nizuc is a great family option! The staff were super friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The food options were in plenty and delicious! The amenities were above what we could have wanted. So many activities for adults and kids! This place knows how to make you feel like you are on vacation. The service was exceptional with staff always around asking if there is anything they can do for you or get you. Shared areas along with rooms were always clean! The turndown services were great! We always had clean towels a stocked fridge and fresh made beds. So much entertainment to choose from. We will definitely stay with Moon Palace again!

Moon Palace Nizuc was a great stay. The food was outstanding at both the breakfast and dinner buffet. Elsy made my egg every day. I love the bread and made use of the toaster. There are tons of options for food.The a’la cart restaurants were also very good. We were pleased with the evening entertainment, as well as the sweet Shop. The beds were pretty comfortable, but the pillows not so much unless you like them squishy. They did housekeeping for us upon request each time doing an excellent job. The staff was very good and always wanted to help. The entertainment team was nice though only one game per day on average in the pool. There was blackjack a couple of days. We did not travel with children so we don’t have any clue on what was going on with that. The bartenders at the lobby, Armando and Eric or the absolute best! Tony helped us on the way out with some discounts for future stays. The beach was unusable, but at no fault of the hotel. It was very easy to travel from Nizuc to the Sunrise by a shuttle. We got a ride with almost no waiting every time we wanted to transport back-and-forth. There was some NFL playoff games and they did a good job trying to get the biggest screen for us for the Packer Bear playoff. Eventually, we ended up watching TVs, but it was fine. They do try to sell you an invite to a 90 minute event, but we declined a few times. Check in and check out was a breeze. Use the slippers provided in the rooms as your feet get dirty. Same loud music at pool.

Very clean hotel. Ocean view was incredible. It was better than Grand beach. Grand and Nizuc has no waves and not clean beach. That's why there have big pool. Food was very good except japaneses. Donot buy voucher or membership of Moon Palace. I was trying to voucher but hotel was full and cannot use it.

Staff was very welcoming. I suggest eating dinner at different restaurants especially at Sunrise hotels. Food was really good.
Clean rooms and overall.
What needs attention is the bed , new bed needed asap . Our back hurts for days.
