This is my scond time to go to Moon palace Cancun, in general I really like the resort, friendly staff & swimming pools.
I tried both Sunrise & Nizuc for stay both are beautiful & clean. If you will ask me which one I will choose between the two, Sunrise is better pools & resturants & newer facilities. The 3 hotels in this resorts are great. Kids & adults will Love the place.

We stayed at The Grand and then Nizuc. There is absolutely no comparison between the two. We would never stay at Nizuc again. The service and staff were great. But early in the morning the outside smelled like urine, obviously from the spring breakers staying there. The rooms are so small compared to The Grand. We will never book Nizuc again.

The hotel facilities are in excellent condition. The cleanliness and the food are among the best I’ve experienced at an all-inclusive resort.

They have several beautiful pools, each offering different activities, which makes the stay even more enjoyable.

The beach is not the best—in fact, it’s quite disappointing—but it’s made up for by how beautiful the hotel itself is.

While the restaurants and pool areas are maintained, the rooms need a facelift. I came to the palace resorts about 30 years ago and no decor has changed in the rooms. It could use some “polishing”. On the flip side, the price reflected it nicely.

This was our second stay at Moon Palace, and we noticed the food quality has dipped since our last visit eight years ago. While we appreciated the membership team sticking to their 90 minute limit, the vendors in the lobby were a different story. A day before checkout, we were approached by very pushy staff selling discounted coupons. I understand they have a job to do, but they need to respect guests' boundaries and accept 'no' for an answer.

Mejor aun de lo que se ve en las fotos.
Se destaca por las hermosas visuales y la gran amabilidad de todas las personas que trabajan alli. Las actividades son muy buenas y variadas. Hay multiples opciones para todas las edades.
La comida es un 10, super variada, rica, y abundante, hay para todos los gustos.
Las habitaciones muy comodas tambien. Lo univo que no es tan bueno es la playa.

Great service fresindly Great service, friendly staff, and the hotel is clean. The lobby is great; on the other hand, the rooms are in separate buildings and a bit outdated, so lots of walking! The beach itself is clean, but the water is murky, had lots of chopped-up seaweed, and larger tractors driving by picking up seaweed on the daily at all hours.

We had an amazing stay at Moon Palace Cancún! There is truly so much for kids to do — our family was never bored for a second. The restaurants were fantastic with so many options to choose from, and everything we tried was delicious.

One thing that really stood out was how seriously they take food allergies. My husband has both gluten and dairy allergies, and every single restaurant was incredibly careful and accommodating. No matter where we ate, the staff made sure he felt safe and taken care of, which gave us so much peace of mind.

What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the people. Every staff member we encountered was kind, helpful, and genuinely warm. The service was outstanding.

The only watch-out is that they do strongly encourage you to attend a membership presentation. Based on our experience, we can see why people join — it’s a wonderful property — but we personally prefer not to feel locked into anything long term.

Overall, an incredible family vacation and we would absolutely return!

Every single person in the lobby would approach us trying to sell us something or get us to go on a tour of the more expensive resort; after we told them no like 10x they still called our room and woke us up in the morning and kept persisting; at the end of the trip someone asked us for a review and when we told him, he apologized for the “pushiness” and proceeded to try to sell us on putting down a $300 deposit for a future stay. This place wreaked of a used car dealership and we will never return because of it.

The food was amazing and the restaurant and entertainment staff are awesome but I’d rather pay more to enjoy my vacation and not be constantly given the hard upsell on everything.

The staff at the Sunrise playroom were great; the Nizuc playroom staff were rude and after they lost my daughter, they didn’t seem to care at all and then treated her like garbage the next time she was there.

Also we personally prefer a smaller walkable resort, here you have to take a golf cart almost everywhere.

Clean hotel with quick room service and an awesome staff. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay.

However, the timeshare sales approach was a bit too aggressive. “No” should mean no. I had just arrived and was heading to grab a cocktail when they tried to redirect me to “finish check-in” with the timeshare team — which was really just a sales pitch to purchase a timeshare.

The airport shuttle is not complimentary, which was disappointing.

The resort is family-friendly, but the music selection wasn’t very diverse. The food was okay.

Overall, a decent stay, perfect for family with young kids.

What a great place for vacation. Excellent for couples, families, large and small groups. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. There is an abundance of restaurant choices, both elegant and casual. The food is very good. The grounds are meticulously maintained as is the beach. So many activities to choose from amd there is even a minigolf course. Could not recommend this place enough. Can't get bored here even if you tried.

The beds were extremely small and completely unsuitable for two adults. We constantly felt like we were going to fall off. The mattress was the worst quality we have ever experienced and caused serious back pain. We stayed for 7 nights and complained multiple times, but nothing was done and the mattress was never changed. This is unacceptable for an all-inclusive resort and absolutely not worth the price.

The amenities were above what we could have wanted. So many activities for adults and kids! This place knows how to make you feel like you are on vacation. The service was exceptional with staff always around asking if there is anything they can do for you or get you. Shared areas along with rooms were always clean! The turndown services were great! We always had clean towels a stocked fridge and fresh made beds. So much entertainment to choose from. We will definitely stay with Moon Palace again!

Moon Palace Nizuc was a great stay. The food was outstanding at both the breakfast and dinner buffet. Elsy made my egg every day. I love the bread and made use of the toaster. There are tons of options for food.The a’la cart restaurants were also very good. We were pleased with the evening entertainment, as well as the sweet Shop. The beds were pretty comfortable, but the pillows not so much unless you like them squishy. They did housekeeping for us upon request each time doing an excellent job. The staff was very good and always wanted to help. The entertainment team was nice though only one game per day on average in the pool. There was blackjack a couple of days. We did not travel with children so we don’t have any clue on what was going on with that. The bartenders at the lobby, Armando and Eric or the absolute best! Tony helped us on the way out with some discounts for future stays. The beach was unusable, but at no fault of the hotel. It was very easy to travel from Nizuc to the Sunrise by a shuttle. We got a ride with almost no waiting every time we wanted to transport back-and-forth. There was some NFL playoff games and they did a good job trying to get the biggest screen for us for the Packer Bear playoff. Eventually, we ended up watching TVs, but it was fine. They do try to sell you an invite to a 90 minute event, but we declined a few times. Check in and check out was a breeze. Use the slippers provided in the rooms as your feet get dirty. Same loud music at pool.

I called and they sent someone and it took 4 trips for them to fix it, one of which they tried to come in at almost 2am while we were sleeping already. Who does that? It was a party of 3 and I requested 2 beds, they gave me a king sized bed only. Had to call and they brought a roll away bed. The bad part was that they didn’t even bother to tell me at check in. The room constantly smelled like sewage. The food was mediocre at best. The resort credit that Expedia offers is misleading. It can only be used for the spa and certain tours but not all tours. It’s not for typical room charges. I won’t be staying here again.

Overall this place is simply fantastic. The vibe, atmosphere, quality/condition of everything, restaurants, staff, etc., are all amazing. It's clean, fresh, and highly enjoyable. The pool area is wonderful, very big with multiple bars, and easy to get chairs w/ umbrellas without any hassle. The beach was nice too but nothing spectacular.

The main issue is the relentless effort to sell you a palace membership. It is worse than any timeshare presentation/sales effort that I've ever had to endure. They lied and said it wouldn't be a sales pitch, then said 90 minutes (it was over 2.5 hours long), and even after three different people tried browbeating us into purchasing and we still refused, even leaving we had to deal with 2 other hard sells by people, one of which literally followed us out the door trying to get us to buy something. Even on checkout day, waiting for our ride, yet another guy tried hard to get us to buy something. It ruined one entire afternoon of our stay and left a bad taste. I advise you to avoid it at all costs, I will never sit through it again. It is simply relentless and brutal.

Only other complaint is the mix drinks at the pool/beach -- they put little to no alcohol in them. I could drink 7 margaritas and not feel anything. Stick with beer or watch them make your drink so you can ensure they are actually putting real booze in it.

This was my second time at Moon Palace Nizuc. The first time I went to the presentation and this time we decided not to go. We told them we weren't interested on the first day, and they kept hounding us for this presentation.
I'm not sure if things have changed or because it's low season, but we had to call or place an order on the app to have housekeeping.
The jets in our hot tub weren't working so we had to get maintenance in to fix it.
