Room was clean and beautiful. We didn’t get the VIP greeting as promised or turn down service nightly but the staff we dealt with were accommodating and delightful.
We loved out the property wasn’t so big that you would have to walk long distances to get to places. The staff is always working behind the scenes to prepare for events.
Loved the beach, they keep it clean.

Great for a few days trip since is s small resort. Not a lot of restaurant choices. Staff was excellent during the stay. The check in process was the only thing we didn't enjoy. Staff was not clear on the procedure and after a long air travel we were put through staff offers and people trying to push services for extra cost on you. Not very welcoming. Only thing they need to work on.

I changed my reservation while at Breathless. Changed rooms & changed checkout date to 2/25 instead of 2/26. All was agreed with front desk (Crystal) & was told to call 52-998-689-2500 to speak with reservation manager. Repeated calls to that number had response - \"number is temporarily unavailable\". So I am not able to confirm change in reservation with the site. That is unacceptable!

Room, views and pools were great. Food was mediocre at best. Not one meal was served at the proper temperature. Waiter spilled red sauce over my wife and myself, thankfully it was lukewarm so no burns. Good property for younger people not for older couples who have traveled such as us.

There should be a better bar for Exhale guests where you can consistently get a good drink. Running out of certain bottles , not having olives shouldn’t be a thing at the Exhale member bar.

LOVED our stay at Breathless Cancun Soul Resort & Spa! The vibe is everything — fun, energetic, and still plenty of space to relax when you want to unwind. There were activities going on all day, and the nighttime entertainment was so good every single night.

Our favorite dining experience was at the French restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, and our server, Cesar, truly made the experience unforgettable. He was attentive, kind, and went above and beyond to make our evening special. Exceptional service!

We would absolutely return and highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fun, upscale adults-only getaway in Cancun.

We upgraded our room to an ocean view on the top floor and it was beautiful. The upgrade also gave us access to a VIP lounge which was great. Little more of a top shelf assortment and always some kind of food to snack on. Everyday there was something fun going on by the pool and every night was a different party. The staff was absolutely amazing. Leo was our server most days and when he wasn’t, I would find him because he was that accommodating! Fabian was another employee that made sure we had a good time. He organized embarrassing games by the pool 😂 and tried his best to beat us in ping pong. Amazing stay, great location, a few blocks from the ferry. Would definitely go back for another adventure. Staff works extremely hard and made the experience. Thank you!

Overall this was an amazing stay! The property is CLEAN & BEAUTIFUL! I stayed in the xhale room and it was worth the upgrade. The food was absolutely delicious, with the exception of the Italian restaurant which was poor in taste quality. The restaurants that stood out were fishnet, silk city, and sushi rooftop. A great mix of relax and fun the resort. Sometimes the staff did not want to engage much, but were always helpful. The staff also seemed a bit rushed and not as detailed when explaining our perks during checkin process, i had to ask a lot of questions and thankfully had done research so had some prior knowledge. A big shoutout to Julio, Alejandro, and Emmanuel. Overall i loved this resort and would recommend for couples.

We had a great time at Breathless. They gave us an upgrade in exchange of going to a presentation. It was worth it, we got the penthouse room with wonderful views. The room was spotless, the staff was very nice, the only thing is the drinks were not very good, too sugary, and the shows were not very entertaining. They have a disco to enjoy good dancing, but it opens from 10-1pm. I loved the art of Cesar Menchaca!

We arrived around 2pm. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a lavender scent cool towels. We went to check in and got a complimentary upgrade. We went to eat and our room was ready. Concierge brought our luggage to the room and gave us information on the technology in our room. The staff wonderful. Always willing to help and go above and beyond! We got our room cleaned everyday and they did a fantastic job! Drinks were amazing snd they were so attentive!

Everything was amazing the only complaints I have are: the shower had a sulfur smell that did not go away even after housewarming cleaned. And the food was not that great. Especially room service. The only decent food was the private dinner we had to pay for.

On our last day of our vacation our room had no running water- got back to our room after a day a the pool to find no water. Went to dinner after reporting the problem, they thought it would be resolved quickly. Late night and then found still no water. By that time didn't have energy to deal with it. Woke up in morning for a long day of travel, STILL no water. Had to travel all day dirty. After the trip Breathless customer service said they would compensate for the night - but when Expedia tried to contact Breathless did not give any compensation. Terrible!
And BTW, the Xcelerate pool was freezing! Couldnt stay in it with 80* weather. Beach is not soft sand and it is a public beach for locals.
I won't be back.

My boyfriend took me on our first Valentine's trip to Breathless in Cancun, Mexico. This was a beautiful resort, loved the room, the pool, the view, the restaurants, and they had the best Valentine's dinner set up for all the guests. They went all out. The Valentine's party was awesome. It was a GREAT vibe. So far, Breathless has been my favorite resort.

Our group’s experience at this resort was deeply disappointing and fell far below expectations. From the start, we were informed that we could not watch the Super Bowl by the pool unless we paid for an “upcharge” table. With a group of 17, we were also told that all restaurants and the sports bar would be closed, leaving the only alternative to watch from our balconies. Under these circumstances, we felt pressured into paying $1,700 USD for a table to view the game and support our Seattle Seahawks.Adding to the frustration, we later discovered the hotel had not sold enough of these “required” seats, and many resort guests who had not paid the fee were freely occupying the same area we were told could only be accessed through payment. This was misleading and left our group feeling exploited by the resort’s policies.Restaurant service throughout our stay was equally disappointing. While the staff members were consistently pleasant and hardworking, operations were slow, disorganized, and poorly managed. Our group was forced to wait over two hours to be seated because all members had to be present to check in, and then often another two hours before receiving food. With no ability to make reservations, dining as a group became untenable.At nearly every turn, there seemed to be another upcharge or an inflexible “no” to reasonable requests. While our rooms were clean and the employees courteous, the resort’s policies and management decisions made our stay less than par.

We had a great stay at Breathless Cancun Soul. The property is beautiful, modern, and very well maintained, and the staff was amazing throughout our visit.

They did present a promotion at check-in, but once we declined, they didn’t push it further, which we appreciated.

The beach is smaller than some others in Cancun, but it’s clean and well kept. While it’s not my absolute favorite all-inclusive in the area, it’s definitely near the top of my list for a return stay.

We choose this resort due to it's high number of raving reviews and the \"party vibe\". However, our stay was nothing at all like that.
The room was fine and housekeeping was good. However, there was a leak on our porch that kept the chairs wet for the duration of the stay.
Food was sub par. First of all, no food available between 4 and 6 pm except the small coffee shop that only had cake and coffee. There was no buffet at night except for Saturday pm, so you were forced to eat at one of 4 restaurants, one you had to pay extra for. The Fish Nets restaurant is a steak house, not fish (although the steak was very good). The Italian restaurant was great. The Habachi was a great show, but the food was so salty it was not edible.
There were NO pool activities. Granted, it was a colder week for Cancun, but people were sitting by the pool. Activities were listed on the schedule, but were not done. There wasn't even any lively music playing. It was exceptionally boring here. Evening shows were bland.
We felt a pressure to buy things... multiple display tables selling liquor and preferential treatment given to those guests walking around with $1 bills to tip. And the Utlimate Vacation Club sales pitch was simply annoying.
The massage I got was very good.
Overall, the stay was just not great. We would not return to any Hyatt property in Cancun as a result of this experience.

When you first arrive, the staff is trying to upsell you on all this stuff you don’t want or need. It’s annoying to deal with after a day of travel. Then not to mention, our room wasn’t ready on time. The hotel is in a beautiful location with decent food, but we wouldn’t stay here again.

Stayed here Sun, Mar 26 – Thu, Mar 30, 2023. The stay itself was just okay, nothing exceptional. However, a few days after returning to the U.S., I started seeing strange credit card charges coming from Mexico on my account.

The credit card that was compromised had been left inside our hotel room for the entire stay and was never used anywhere in Mexico. My husband handled all purchases during the trip, so there was absolutely no reason for that card to have any activity. I never lost the card and still had it with me when I returned home, which leads me to believe someone with access to our room took a photo of the card details while we were out and later used the information. The physical card was not stolen, which makes this even more concerning.

I called the hotel to report what happened because it seemed clear that someone who had access to our room may have been responsible. Unfortunately, when I reached out, I was told no one spoke English and I was unable to get any real assistance or follow-up. There was no investigation, no reassurance, and no accountability.

What was already an average stay turned into a very stressful situation once I got home. I would strongly advise future guests to keep all valuables and financial items secured at all times while staying here. Or don't stay here at all.

Awesome room, stocked mini bar and a bottle of wine when we arrived, BT speaker in shower very clean, comfortable bed.
The customer service here was amazing. Every worker was extremely nice, helpful and gave the vibe they really wanted to be there to give you the best experience possible. Not one complaint I can think of.
The food was great, buffet for breakfast and lunch had good varieties.
Silk city had an awesome view and great food.
The fajitas at Picante were amazing.
And the tequila was top notch.

Everyone working at the resort was super friendly and accommodating. We were able to upgrade to the VIP access areas for just one day of our day! It was very nice to get to go to the high rooftop pool. Calm, serene, and a great view! Huge buffet for breakfast and lunch, and a variety of choices for dinner each night, including a big barbecue on Friday night!
Our room spacious enough for us to share with our adult son. Nice balcony to enjoy some private outside time.

Room was okay, housekeeping staff great. Checking in was way below standard. when a guest arrive at a resort that's all inclusive, they not only paid for accommodation, food and drinks are included.

Arriving at the resort after 3PM from traveling all day and check in staff trying to sell you future vacation stay, spa treatment and everything else that they have to offer, while at the same time not offering the guest a cold drink, even if its a bottle water is the most disgusting experience one can be greeted with. I've visited many resorts and this is the first one that has ever done something so distasteful.

The property itself was nice; however, we experienced several issues during our stay. While showering, water leaked out of the shower and flooded the room. Staff came to clean it and said the drain was clogged, but the same issue happened again the following day, which made it difficult to enjoy a proper shower.
Response time was also slow, and we later lost water entirely for two days. Although we were given access to another room to shower, this was very inconvenient. In addition, the power went out for approximately 20 minutes during our stay.
The beach was not private, and there were locals on the beach with their families, as well as vendors frequently trying to sell items, which took away from the resort experience.
The entertainment was good, but I felt it could have been better given the high expectations and cost of this resort. The Exhale upgrade did not make much of a difference—aside from access to a rooftop relaxation area and one additional restaurant, there were no meaningful added privileges compared to other resorts. We also had a hot tub on our balcony, which we couldn’t use due to the water outage.
For a resort at this price point, I would expect issues like these to be addressed more quickly, with staff readily available to resolve problems and minimize guest inconvenience.
