Expedia defrauded me regarding its marketing of its Hotel Protection Policy, leading me to skip the reading of the fine print that limited the insurance to avoid dangerous toxic air to where a cancellation or refund, or even a change of dates, was available only \"if\" a government had a mandatory evacuation or the hotel became uninhabitable. And , the policy would not accept toxic air for the weak and infirm and the elderly as a definition of 'inhabitable'. FRAUD is what Expedia did when it sold me its \"insurance protection\". I am filing a complaint with the credit card company and the Michigan Attorney General.

Breakfast was your typical hotel fare. Room was very small with very small bathroom with view of power cables and I spent 1100 dollars for two nights (Wed/Thur) during a typical week (no special events). Best to wait and book closer to when you go. Others staying there got much larger rooms with the lake view and paid about half to two/thirds of what I did, but they booked a week ahead. Considering staying in Mackinaw City next time and going over each day. Much cheaper with nicer accommodations.

We booked the premium lake front room, double queen, on the 4th floor. The view was spectacular. The room was very spacious, clean, and historically decorated. The hotel is only a five minute walk to downtown shopping and restaurants. The complimentary continental breakfast was very good. Of note, there is no refrigerator, coffee maker, or microwave in the room. We have stayed at many hotels on the island over the past 28 years, and I would rate this as one of the nicer ones. We would definitely choose this hotel again.

This is a beautiful, historic property- very walkable location- welcoming staff. Our rooms were the least expensive and thus very small- including the bed being so cramped that I hit the side table through out the night. We really appreciated that the Porter met us at the Ferry and took our bags to our room so we could explore Mackinac. I would stay again- but would upgrade to a larger room. Breakfast was coffee, juice, muffins, yogurt, sysco hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels - nothing fancy- but enough to tide you over until lunch - cookies when we checked in were a nice touch.

The inn is old so know you are going to hear people above you and doors closing. Very creaky floors. The check-in was ok. The woman was very rude. Not friendly and more interested in reading her paper. The young ladies later on in the day were smiley and friendly. Late afternoon check-in was nice dealing with them. Breakfast was good the gentleman is there watching and replacing items. Great location. Beautiful gardens. We did not use the pool. But bc we were close by heard all the noise. I would recommend staying here but maybe on top floor and far away from pool. Great bike rentals across the street.

The inn was Beautiful Victorian look building. We stayed on the 5th floor and was able to enjoy the scenery outside. The room was nice and staff were helpful. They provided excellent service transporting our lugged from the port to the hotel. Outside was adorned with beautiful flowers. They also have hot tub outside.

The desk staff and dock porters for the Inn on Mackinac are always very friendly, reliable and efficient. Never had a bad experience, even on rainy or very busy days. We have stayed on the island the past 17 years, with the last 6 being at this venue. By far, we have enjoyed the location, atmosphere, property and rooms more than at other hotels. We look forward to next year's stay.

The porter at the ferry was very friendly and helpful, but the woman working the front desk when we arrived was rude.

My daughter and I enjoyed a quick overnight visit to Mackinac Island. The Inn is located within easy walking distance from Main Street. It has a pretty hot tub, sitting porch and nice continental breakfast. I also noticed they had complementary cookies set out in the evening.

It was early in the season when we visited this year. It was super quiet, the breakfast is always a great perk of staying here, the location is perfect and the large front porch area is my favorite part of the Inn on Mackinac!! Hearing the clopping of the horses and being just outside of the busiest part of Main Street makes the town feel even more special! Our room also had a great view of Main Strret and we were even high enough to see the harbor! It was a Great visit!

This Inn is a unique and cute place, very Victorian. It’s close to downtown and across the street from the water. It has a lovely outdoor porch and heated sauna pool. Our room was very clean and adequate for 2 adults. A plus was continental breakfast is included. I’d definitely stay here again if I came back to Mackinaw Island.

The Inn is on the main road but about a quarter mile from town but close enough to enjoy it. They have fudge and a good coffee shop in the lobby. Our turret room was nice and had lots of windows. Their is a nice heated pool with a waterfall out back. Their is also a sitting balcony overlooking the street on the second floor and a little sitting area right off the main street. My only two minor complaints are the Wi-Fi is spotty and the breakfast lacks protein like scrambled eggs and sausage. You have protein yogurt and boiled eggs but I would appreciate these things, especially for the price you pay.

The room had a terrible mildew issue. My daughter suffered from a terrible migraine onset by the rooms moisture issue. My wife had difficulty breathing. We prepaid for two nights but left at 2pm after the first night. The front desk said manager would email but we did not hear from them. We have never left a hotel we already paid for but it was not worth the health risk this hotel created.

Loved it here! Beautiful and clean hotel. Our room was nice and had a view of the lake. Breakfast was nice and there was plenty of seating. We liked how we could sightsee for awhile and then go back to the hotel when needed because of its great location. The porch on the second floor was nice to sit and relax and watch the horses go by. We did not use the hot tub, but it looked very inviting. Would definitely stay here again!

This Victorian hotel is just the experience I would want on Mackinac Island! The rooms were decorated as a Victorian home should be. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was great! Not sure why the paid coffee bar wasn't open earlier?? Would love to return!

The free breakfast was continental-style. On previous stays, they had a Belgian waffle maker. I missed that. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and fruit were always available, and sometime during the day they have great chocolate chip cookies available. The hot tub is very roomie and a good temperature. We especially love the location. It is just down from the fort away from the main busyness of the shops and ferry docks but close enough to walk there. We also love the porch for sitting outside to read and watch the horse-drawn carriages and bikes go by.

The spa was great for soaking after a day of hiking. The breakfast is cold options only but enough variety to keep you full all morning long. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The front desk is manned all day. Also there is a soda/pop machine for only $1.25. There is plenty of room outside your actual room to spread out. There is a sitting room and porch on the second floor. The first floor has lots of tables and chairs. Plus you can buy fancy coffee and fudge from 8am to 8pm, and free chocolate cookies in the afternoon. My only disappoint was that they didn’t provide a blowdryer. Most hotels do so I did not bring one. Not a big deal, just wish I would have known to bring my own.

Entire Inn was clean and well taken care of. The front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The porter was exceptional. He went beyond his duties as a Porter.
The continental breakfast was “on point”. Plenty of treats for everyone. And staff kept it supplied until service was complete for the day.
A big plus for my wife was the espresso bar in the front lobby. Good price with great flavor.

Beautiful old hotel close to the docks and downtown. Small rooms with fairly thin walls. Beds were comfortable and clean. Complimentary continental breakfast was adequate, the muffins were delicious.

Nice inn. They were still setting things up for the season. Good place to stay but their emails were confusing w pricing info that did not align w info from Expefia. Charged me correctly but the confusion was significant.

The breakfast was cold items - nothing hot such as eggs, pancakes, waffles, etc . There were cold cereals/toast/ bagels/muffins and fruit(apples/oranges/bananas)

Almost everything was great except for the breakfast. Having some hot food options like eggs, sausages, pancakes, etc would be appreciated. Having just cereal and yogurt doesn’t really count as a full breakfast.

Absolutely adorable room! The view was so perfect with the bay and the street lights. We loved sitting on the parlor porch and the beds were comfortable too! Very relaxing and very nice. We will definitely be going back !

Although our ferry had us arrive early for our stay, our room was ready and the staff graciously allowed us an early check-in. Our room was spotless and really comfortable. We felt at home.

Easy access to town, lovely inn. It was not their fault there was a rude customer next door who talked loudly on their phone, and was locked out of their room by their travel companion, knocking carrying on at 1:30a. When that room left, it was lovely, and would stay there again.
