Nice hotel
Michael
The motel was well-used, but was clean and orderly. The room we were in was large!
thomas
The continental breakfast was weak. If they would add maybe some microwavable ess bowls / omlettes it would be a 3.9 breakfast. The building breakfast is in was hot and the coffee was not strong enough.
Carlos
The breakfast could be better. It was very crowded and only a few places to sit. The Hotel is clean and quiet. There is no housekeeping while we were there. The place is very convenient, close to the ferry.
Edmund
Very nice people, beds were very comfortable. little pricey, breakfast was lame.
Mark
The pool and hot tub were not open. Very few towels.

We stayed two nights. Check in, check out was good. Room was comfortable. We like to leave the bathroom light on at night as a night light but the light was tied into a noisy fan. Overall this seems to be a nice place to stay. We happened to pick the wrong weekend. There was a major car show and the hotel was packed with hot rods, muscle cars, etc, that we nice to look at but not fun at 2, 3, and 4 in the morning when they competed for two nights to see how loud they could be. The parking lot was filled and they were putting benches and chairs in parking spaces to reserve them. Management had no control over who was parking in the lot. The vehicles were cruising the highway all day and night and the motel grounds and parking lot was filled by guests and non guests alike who came to watch the continuous parade. We will check in the future for major city events before going on vacation.

I know it was a busy car show weekend. But area was a dump.Breakfast was a joke. Hostess treated us like we were dirt. Lots of junk around property. Overall our 5 day trip was great, but the St. Ignace 1 nite stay was a major downer. Thousands of people, hot rod cars and alcohol was a volatile mix. If you are vacationing with family I highly recommend you avoid this place on this weekend event. Just one last dig, If I could give my real rating for the hotel and staff it would be a -5 stars

I know it was a busy car show weekend. But area was a dump.Breakfast was a joke. Hostess treated us like we were dirt. Lots of junk around property. I booked with Expedia for $184.00, then it was later changed to $314.00 (maybe a 2 nite minimum not sure...) I had booked room for Monday the 22cd for $112.00 and had to cancel due to our travel route change Overall our 5 day trip was great, but the St. Ignace 1 nite stay was a major downer. Thousands of people, hot rod cars and alcohol was a volatile mix. If you are vacationing with family I highly recommend you avoid this place on this weekend event. Mona
Rooms were very comfortable. We had an excellent stay!
Jill
They were very nice people and we first got a room upstairs but we got to switch to downstairs hubby bad knees
Bryon
Very nice place no complaints thank you
James
Staff was great. Room was clean. It was very quiet and pleasant. Nothing to eat nearby at 9pm though, but that was my fault.
Steven
Clean but dated.
Caroline
Dated. Needed a room, and not much available. So fill a need but nothing special
Robert
Didn't see pride of ownership. The sink in our room had hot water on the cold and cold on the hot. The faucet had a small continuous drip.
Jess
Very noisy. Neighbours kids running back and forth and in their room beside us.
Ronald
The area and location is good. Parking is kind of tight. No room service fornfresh towels unless requested upon check in. Rooms could use a update.
Stephanie
Room hot tub was clean; however, the shower was a simple handheld, there were blood stains on the shower curtain, and dead flies/spiders in the shower. The room was a throwback to 1980. The heater/AC sounded like a freight train. Bathroom sink was so old, it was no longer white, and room corners were quite dusty. Did appreciate the bottle opener on the face of the vanity though. Mattress was old and not super comfy. Check in staff was pleasant.
James
Good experience overall. Clean, and quiet. Great location and the price both. Will be returning in the future.
ellen
This hotel is ok. It’s clean but really needs updated. The towel rack in bathroom is broken and hanging off the wall. The rack near the sink is broken and there are no hangers attached.
Vicky
I would have expected a little better for the price. Overall not bad
Rachel
The room needed new carpet, new blankets and softer towels. A microwave would have been nice. The price and location was great.
Kevin
The only problem I have is understanding the people at the front counter that are from a different country. With their acsent it's hard to make out what they are saying.
Patricia
I’d come here just for the jetted tub!
Patricia
Great room best jetted tub!
Margaret

Pool and hot tub was great!

Nice Hotel, friendly staff
The people running the hotel seemed very friendly. The room was clean, and quiet! The rooms are very dated, but everything worked fine and we had a great time! We would stay here again!
Mark
room was very dirty. dead bugs in floor corners, carpet was filthy. would not stay here again
Diana

Antonia
The restroom and bath set up very inconveniently set up, the front door frame needs to be replaced, it was very hard to open and close. The outside sidewalk in front of our room had cracks that were filled at some point and that might be why the door is not in good working order.
Benjamin
Staff is very nice. Rooms are clean with very clean bedding and very comfortable. A/C works great. Pool was great and also warm. Pool area was clean and fully stocked with towels at all times. Breakfast was nice. If you’re on the first floor with someone above you will hear every footstep but being parked five feet from your room is nice. Cigarette butts everywhere in gardens and walkways and road.
Wendy
The pool and hot tub were great! The temperatures were perfect! Parking was super convenient. Our stay was nice and quiet.
Lee
Clean and simple
Lori
Breakfast was sad, disappointing. You can do better. Was looking forward to the hot tub to be grossed out by the hair and whatever else that was stuck to the side. Was hoping for better.
Dennis
Property was clean and easily accessible.

Very nice place to stay
Sharon
Breakfast was sufficient. Not as much as some others.
Pamela
Nice, comfortable close to town. Good value
susan
Safe for a solo traveler.
Joseph
Rooms are dirty. Bathroom was not acceptable. People in the parking lot were doing hard drugs. People walking all around our car and hanging out by our hotel room door. We ended up leaving
Thomas
They allowed multiple cars with trailers to park in the parking lot so it was very difficult to find a parking spot after 9pm. Had to walk quite far.
john
the room was ok. the breakfast was average and crowded
Janice
Keep reading reviews and make up your own mind.
Well, the check-in was fine. The room was just okay, not fancy. My bed had huge \"dips\" in the mattress, all the way across the bed. Whatever detergent they use irritated my skin, I was itchy all night. I ended up covering myself with a shirt over my nightgown and t-shirts around my legs. The breakfast room is small and so crowded we didn't eat there. The laundry room is small, but it was clean. I paid a premium price because of an event at the time of my stay.
Yvette
Rooms and pool area should be cleaner.
Patricia
Property was run down. Inside rooms needed updating.
Very noisy in downstairs room.
Room was extremely musty.

Brandi
The bedding was horrible. The fitted sheet fit so loose that it came loose from the bed. No comforter l, instead it was a flat sheet, thin blanket and a top sheet on that! Pretty disappointed for $200+ for a night
Roland
The rates were cheaper compared to other places. The staff were helpful and courteous. The breakfast area was clean and organized. The things I didn't like is that the bathroom fan didn't work. Some of the towels looked brownies in color instead of white. The sink area was not fully cleaned (there were little shaved hairs left over). They need to fix the faucet on the sink (wiggly). Could have a better breakfast choices (e.g. low sugar serials, maybe some hot food items).
John
This is my 3rd time coming here and my room has always been extremely clean! I stay at a lot of motels but none of them beat this one when it comes to room cleanliness.
Matthew
Don’t stay
Shelly
We overnighted on our road trip home and it had everything we needed. Even got our laundry caught up. In need of some upgrades and could have been a bit cleaner.

This was an Ok Hotel. Decent Room. We enjoyed the pool the jacuzzi was very foamy and scum along the walls. Breakfast was sparse. Employees were nice.

Pleasant Experience
The staff was courteous, friendly, and helpful. While the rooms were a little dated, it was obvious from the boxes of new stuff sitting around that the owners are in the process of continuing to update the facility for the greater comfort of its guests. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable. The provided breakfast was adequate and appreciated. All-in-all a good value for the money. Would stay here again.
Verified traveler
Would stay again.
Staff are friendly, courteous.
This time of year in St. Ignace, all hotels are booked full. The parking lot was packed. I thought this place was going to be loud but was pleased. Was a quiet night.
People are on the move early here. Don't plan on sleeping on.

Rooms were clean. Very few amenities. Lobby was full of supples. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Terry
Big mistake
The bed was very uncomfortable. The controls to the AC unit were from back in the 1970s. The thermostat did not work. My wife and I were either freezing cold or very hot. It was so bad that we left and went to another hotel for two nights.
Jessica
Okay-ish
Check in was super quick, the room was super basic. It was fine for the one night stay for my family because we were only there for a few awake hours. It smelled like old smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The door deadbolt didn’t work. The mattress was surprisingly not super uncomfortable, despite it feeling like a spring mattress from 20 years ago. Staff was super friendly though. Overall, if I had to stay again I wouldn’t be devastated but it’s nothing to write home about.
Amy
Clean rooms. Good breakfast. The laundry facilities were very clean and much appreciated! Three dollars for wash and three dollars to dry. I would definitely stay there again as it’s a great location and a very reasonable price for what you get.
Kristine
Not the best but not the worst.
Sue
Its an older motel so it has a few issues but very comfortable mattresses. Very polite staff.
Aarica
Lots of mildew in the bathroom and no breakfast. Convenient location. Outdated but comfy bed.
Janell
Simple but comfortable
We only stayed one night it was fine for what we needed. Outdated and the hot tub was kind of dirty/old. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Nothing fancy but it met our needs. Front desk staff was helpful.
Thomas
Pool was great !!!

CAR SHOW WEEKEND
My stay was for car show. It was fun however one night I was unable to find a parking spot for my registered car at the hotel. Very upsetting!
Steven
Both the sink and shower drained VERY slowly...needs Drano or to be plunged.
Found a ball of hair in the shower that was supposedly clean.
Tub appeared not to have been cleaned. I didn't use it to shower, but my friend did.
Very limited breakfast selections. Continental usually implies a selection of breads, pastries, etc., and fruit.
No fruit, only white bread, and mini-bagels.
Short window of availability, 7-9 am, for week days.

Our original room had no water pressure, hot water for the shower and the shower had not been cleaned. The manager was able to put us in a different room that was clean with water pressure and hot water in the shower. We have have stayed here every time we come to St. Ignace over the years but with this experience we probably will not be staying here again.
Pamm
Good breakfast, reasonable prices

I had one of the worst hotel experiences ever. The place was extremely run-down, smelled awful, and felt like it hadn’t been properly cleaned or maintained in years. The building is very old and in desperate need of renovation. From the moment I walked in, I was overwhelmed by the musty odor and general lack of care.
It honestly felt more like a neglected storage facility than a place to sleep. I wouldn’t stay here again even if it were free. Save yourself the disappointment and book elsewhere.

I have a family of 9, so we needed 2 rooms. This was an affordable location, and the continental breakfast also helped keep the cost down for our family trip. Rooms were simple but clean. Hotel is in a great location to visit either the UP or Mackinaw City/Island.

The area is near the lakeshore, it is within walking distance to restaurants

This was our first time in St. Ignas and overall, it was a good stay. The beds were comfortable and the pool/hot tub was wonderful; especially after a full day of walking. The breakfast was as expected for a grab and go type service. We didn’t have a microwave in our room and i drove to the nearest gas station to warm up food. Front desk staff was friendly and attentive.

The staff was ok but property upgrades needed and better house keeping and renovation.
Looks like it has never been upgraded for a minute.
There's an old scent from an old carpet and dirty accumulation on window frames and sliding doors.

The room we okay. Beds were uncomfortable. TV was way to small for the room. Pool was nice. Worst part was the Breakfast. There was only Toast ,Bagels or make your own Pancakes. The Breakfast was bare. Most time looked like they didnt care what breakfast or the dining room looked like. Was there with friends and our kids were yelled at to be quiet outside around 630. Saying our kids were loud. Not professional.

Ok
The room was ok. The door key worked half the time. Had to jiggle the door handle to get in. Some time it won't open had to call the maintenance to come open it.
Tammy
Overall an okay place to stay. Older building but well maintained and clean.

Hotel need a lot of up dates. Poor cell phone service. Asked for another room and they said to go back and try using the WiFi to make calls. The hotel backed up to a cliff I will not stay there again for the price.

Thank you
We had a nice stay here. They were polite and had breakfast available in a building across the parking lot

Bathroom and room were clean, just outdated. We would have liked a microwave in the room but we were happy there was a refrigerator. Great guy at the front desk. We wish there had been half and half for morning coffee, not fans of powder creamer.
But overall we had a good experience.

The free breakfast leaves a lot to desire. It was unimpressive.

Upon checking in the host was very rude, was in line for over 20 mins. He did not welcome my family and I. When entering into the room it was very dark, so i went tonopen the curtains and the windows were filthy and the cutains had white mold all over them. You had to adk for soap as it was not proveded. We attempted to go to the pool, but hlthere were no towels and it looked like it hadnt been cleaned in week. Was very bummed that they only served breakfast for 2 hrs. The hand rails going upstairs were very loose and week, not safe at all.

The door would not stay shut unless you slammed it. There was a soft spot in feont of our door that fwlt like you would go thru if there was no carpet. Th

Never again
I specifically called this hotel to verify if there was laundry facilities, as I was leading a motorcycle tour, and we needed to be able to wash clothes. They said yes, and claimed other amenities we also wanted (hot tub, breakfast, etc) but when we arrived, both of their washers had out of order signs. So I asked management, they claimed to not be aware they were broken (rather suspicious) and he said he’d contact the maintenance person immediately to fix it, and let me know when it was done. Our group then went to eat, came back, and not only did that manager not notify me, all they did was lock the laundry room and put a sign “closed for the season “. The “hot tub” was also broken (no jets worked), was only 2/3 full, dirty, and not hot. The “breakfast “ was basically toast and horrible coffee, the rooms were not clean, mattresses very cheap and hard, linens were horrible.
I notified the manager that we were upset, he couldn’t care less. Read the most recent reviews online, for months when they get 1 star reviews, they say thank you for the feedback, but haven’t fixed anything previous travelers have complained about.
It’s strange, since we stayed in another from your chain in Newberry the night before, it was worlds better than this dump.
I’ll never choose any of your hotels again for any group trips, or personal trips, etc. it was disgusting.

Not a bad place to stay. Little far out of town to walk there.

This is one of many older properties in the area. Exterior has been refreshed-new siding, nicely painted doors. Ample parking. First room clearly had an animal in it previously. Smelled strongly of urine. Asked for new room. After being informed no room available to switch, we started to work with Expedia for refund. Desk guy did then offer alternative. That room was fine. Room refresh was clearly a few years older. Bathroom fine. TV good. Water pressure and hot water good. Soap and towels are the shabby type from cheaper hotels but clean. Overall fine for the price.

The gentleman at the desk was great and friendly. The room was really clean and comfortable

I was returning home and needed a nice place to stay and relax for the last leg of my return. I'm happy I stayed here.
Robert
The room was clean and our stay over all was good. There were at times noisy guests and vehicles. The price seemed a little higher than desired, however, a room was available and we were accommodated with a nice room later in the evening because of late traveling schedule.
