The hotel was fine. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The parking situation was unacceptable. There was nowhere to park! The hotel parking lot has basically been turned over to people looking to pay for day parking to travel to Mackinac Island. I understand the hotel is likely far below capacity on many days and selling parking is another income stream. But when you don't have parking spots for paying guests, it is unacceptable.

Cheap, next to ferry and had discount tickets. Pushed a few local restraunts, one turned out to be very shady. Someone threw up in elevator and I reported it right away (like 7 pm). Next morning was still there. When I told front desk I was told I was wrong and it was cleaned up previous night. Her attitude went to friendly to defensive and condescending in 1 second.

Pictures of hotel are dated and mispresent the true dilapidated condition of the facility. Not sure when or if the windows are ever cleaned. Carpeting needs replaced and the pool/hottub was not good!

We liked being by the water and near the ferry. We didn’t like that it hasn’t been updated or maintained in a long time. The shower handle was broke, the recliner was broke, wall paper coming off and carpet was torn. The place was also very loud. People were playing loud music until after midnight and management didn’t stop them. For the money we paid, I wished we stayed at a different place.

This motel was about a one or two. It was not very clean. The carpets look like they have not been cleaned for years. Spiders everywhere. The bathtub only had either hot water or cold water.Nothing in between. It had a nice balcony, but the balcony had carpeting, which was wet. There was a decent pool and sauna area. Also a small workout area. The beds were comfortable. Walls of the rooms were very thin, could hear everything next door. There was no continental breakfast, although they served coffee.Which was good. Musty smelling throughout the facility. I do not recommend this motel and I find it very sad that it was under the umbrella of Wyndom resorts.

Plenty of parking on the property. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, comfortable beds, cold AC. Good water pressure when showering. We didn’t use the pool but it looked awesome. The property needs to upgrade their windows and sliding glass doors along with the flooring of the elevator but otherwise, it was a good stay. The hotel is literally next door to the Arnold Transit Company (one of the ferry companies) which made it very convenient!

I reserved the king/queen beds room. Upon first entry the beds were made and it appeared to be ok. But then my sons took off their shoes and the carpet was squishy. By the time we left today, our sheets were damp and everything smelled like mildew. There was actually MOLD growing up the bathroom door and walls. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and the only light switch was behind the doors.
To top off everything- our first morning there the toilet was clogged and their answer to the issue was to hand my husband a plunger!
I would NEVER recommend this hotel. I am beyond disappointed.

We stayed in a jacuzzi room for our anniversary. I loved the view out to the lake. However, there were so many mayflies on the chairs and the screen door that we couldn't go outside. The front desk lady was very friendly. The pool was a little cool but not freezing. You got used to it fairly quickly. The hot tub was nice. As far as I knew, there wasn't a breakfast option, but we woke up late and ate down the street. The bed was very firm, and the pillows were very soft. It made sleeping a little uncomfortable, but not terrible. The whole room is carpeted, even by the jacuzzi tub, so we were careful not to overfill the tub and get water on the floor. The main complaint was the water temperature. My husband said that when he turned the water to hot, it was so hot that he almost severely burned his hand. He had to run it under cold water for a few minutes. Only keep the temperature knob at about 1:00 - don't go too far left or you will burn yourself!

When checking in, we had the most amazing experience with the nicest lady ever. She was able to get us in a little early, which was super helpful as we had been up over 24 hours.
We got to our room, it was a Suite, neither television worked, one of the refrigerators didn’t work and the telephone didn’t work.
They were able to get the televisions and the refrigerator working again.
The hot tub was empty and disgusting and we were actually really looking forward to being able to use that while we were there. We were told there was a continental breakfast which there is not. They have coffee, which is absolutely disgusting and we were told that they were going to be granola bars, and every morning we went down and there was none. The pool said it was supposed to be heated and it was not. It was cold.
Overall, we had a great time on a vacation, but I’m not sure I’ll ever stay here again. There’s definitely other places that are better to stay.

We were not impressed when we arrived to the hotel. There was a VERY strong odor in the rooms that triggered my allergies bad. The air conditioner units did not work well at all, which made it difficult for a good night sleep. Half of the light bulbs were burnt out and we had to get one from the front desk to replace in the bathroom..The bathroom counter had toothpaste all dried on by the sink and all over the facet. If you stay here, bring your own pillows because these pillows were SO flat and not comfy at all. The balcony was covered in green moss and spiderwebs. The railing was very loose and sketchy, wasn't very safe. It was very surprising to see the doors going outside never locked and people could come and go. Just did not feel safe with that security measure. There was courtesy from people who smoked right outside the door, because that smoke came right up our room, so it was hard to enjoy being outside on the balcony or having our door open.
We had a great trip with family but will find other arrangements for next years Truck Show.

When we first arrived at 4pm to check in the front desk attendant said it would be another 15-20 minutes before we could get into our room. When we came back 20 minutes later we still were waiting outside the room until housekeeping was finished. Check in was at 4pm, we were able to have access around 4:30pm. No big deal.

The room was clean enough, very outdated especially for the price point. Bathroom tiles were not secure, carpet was oddly wet, patio had what looked like moss growing on it, and the list goes on.

They advertised breakfast daily. But only after check in, we found out there was only coffee and a granola bar available. Not what was advertised.

It was subpar especially for the price point. I doubt I would stay there again, especially with all of the other choices in the area.

I don’t ever leave reviews but felt compelled. Made reservations for king suite, lakefront. Called hotel directly to confirm this was our room. Upon checking, was told room was only lake view. Asked for lakefront, told none available. Went to room and newrly gagged when we opened the door the mustiness was so strong. I am not I crazy, uppity snood. I come from the country, love camping and am not a picky person but let me tell you. The smell, disgusting. We head out to the balcony and notice the hot tub that looked so nice in the pictures, hasn’t had water in it for years. Moss covering the balcony. 2 minutes later I go hmm, what’s on the screen ….. a fricken BAT! Thank god it didn’t come off the screen and fly into our room. We have a 6 month old baby so I call the front desk for a new room and was given a double queen. Room was fine. Outdated but expected in mackinaw as most are that way so it was fine. Shortly after we are waking down the hallway and see a housekeeper coming out of a king suite ON THE LAKEFRONT. So, why we weren’t originally given that room I don’t know. I feel bad leaving a crap review but that was gross and honestly terrible service for not giving the room we booked for one and then after the musty bat room, telling us there weren’t any king suites lakefront. Definitely do NOT recommend wasting $300/night here!!!!
