Tammy
We loved the view. The room was clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, but the pool was cold. It was nice having the complimentary breakfast and shuttle service. I was very pleased with our stay here
Susan
This was a wonderful place to stay! We stayed 2 nights and our room on the 3rd floor was great. The room felt very clean, the bed was super comfortable and the pillows were perfect. It has private balconies overlooking the water, which we sat out for hours. Very relaxing. The staff was all super nice as well. I recommend this place for sure!
Jason
Great experience, and very helpful staff.

Dave was super helpful. Out lakeside view from balcony was nice sbd we could see the fireworks from our room
SAMBHAJI
Very clean rooms, excellent staff.
Breakfast was average continental with not hot breakfast served apart from Wafels..
10 star for staff.. We lost out airpod at room and realized day later. Staff was gracious enough to look up in lost and found, verify it and ship it to us... Very thankful

Great hotel facing out over the lake
Andrew
Have nothing but good things to say.
Duane
Great place to stay the beachfront could have been a little better the staff was awesome
stacy
Clean room, nice customer service and nice breakfast. Lakeview was so nice. Free shuttle to the ferry.
Jan
Nice, basic hotel. It's a little dated but nice staff and the location was excellent for the ferry and food.
Ashley
Room was clean, pool building was clean and best of all the lake view from my balcony.
Only thing negative was the dead summer flies all over the place, but can't help mother nature. The staff try to keep up with the cleaning of the flys.
My family and I would stay again.

Room was nice, but a little outdated. The mayflies were ridiculous...but nature has it's way! The staff was out every morning blowing them off of the balcony. They shuttle to the ferry, casino and downtown. Overall it's a 4 star for me.
Theresa
Clean
Andrea
The hotel was in a great location for anyone interested in Mackinac Island. The view was wonderful, too. The hotel itself was merely fine enough. However, the staff were all wonderful and my family enjoyed the breakfast.
Angela
👍

Great stay on third floor with nice view of lake and Mackinaw Island. Spacious room which was very important for my severely disabled daughter. Clean room. Quiet property.
Kent
Friendly and professional staff. Tremendous view! Good breakfast. This hotel will now be our home base for all future trips to St. Ignace and Mackinaw Straits region
Michele
Our stay was just for one night and coincided on the last day of the annual St. Ignace car show so it was pretty busy in the parking lot and vicinity, but fun to see all the cars and people. Staff at Check-in / Check-out were friendly and helpful. Our room decor was a bit dated, but it was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We didn't partake of any of the amenities, so I can not comment on those. I especially enjoyed being able to fall asleep listening to the waves and waking up to watch the sun rise on the water. Who needs the Ritz when you can have magic like that.
Amanda
Clean, friendly staff
Carol
The shower head was the best!! The deck and chairs was really nice. Sliding glass door had a chain security on it so we could have the door open slightly to enjoy the lake breeze. Older hotel that has been updated without precision.
Gregg
The staff was amazing. They were very friendly and helpful. We had questions about the island and fireworks on the 4th.
Yaqin
We loved the hotel room with lake view. Would definitely come back again!
Pheck
Breakfast is very minimal..Only cold hard eggs and a few slices of bread and self-made waffles. I was given a room that does not have lakeview - was misled into thinking I will be given a lakeview room.. My room was at a corner and I had to bend out of the balcony to get a glimpse of the lake.. Very disappointed with this booking - misleading.
Marcia
The room was very clean and the staff very friendly.
Maali
Not bad
Mark
I liked the property
Luke
The hotel was clean but kind of dated and run down a bit. We had no soap in our room, but didn't realize until already in the shower. The breakfast was not worth the calories, so we passed on that. It has great potential, but needs some updating. We enjoyed the water view, but never used the balcony as the bugs were bad.
Anna
Staff was welcoming and made us feel at home. So gla that my husband and I chose the lakefront room which was clean and quiet with a gorgeous view for a good price. We also used the hot tub (also clean, quiet environment) and felt like we had the place to ourselves. What more could you ask for?
Lee
Very clean, great views, and helpful staff.
dee
The view from every room was amazing! Beautiful view of mackinaw island from our room! Staff was very helpful when planning our trip to mackinaw island and so friendly! This will be our place yo stay every time we come to the area!
Robert
It’s a good place to stay, they finally updated the vending machines to take cards.
Graham
Was great and had an awesome time.
Steven
Beautiful view, clean rooms, helpful and courteous staff. My stay was during car show, they were very receptive of the classic car community.
GERARDO
Very pleasant staff, from Rita to Emily, everyone was very kind and welcoming. My wife and I enjoyed the hot tub and ease for pick up by the shuttle to the Sheplers port.
Jay
All the rooms have wonderful views of the lake from their balcony.
lori
The room was clean the view was beautiful but the coffee and breakfast was in a completely separate building that was quite a bit of a walk
Kendall
I thought this was a unique hotel because, (at least the suite I had) had a huge amount of space and a jetted tub overlooking the lake. The view is spectacular and if you don’t mind cold water the lake is right there to wade in. Breakfast was alright definitely about what you’d expect from a hotel. Overall staff was friendly and courteous and very easy to navigate the area.
David
Dirty- old- ……. Would not stay here again
Irene
Unfortunately the elevator wasn't working and the power kept going out.
thamer
Everything was very good.
Louis
Excellent views of Lake; breakfast menu could be better
Chris
Nice place right on the water.
EDWARD
This has to be one of the cleanest Quality Inn's we've stayed at. Super friendly and helpful staff!
Terri
nice view of lake would have enjoyed more if not for flying insects covering the balcony and cold windy weather. Staff was super helpful and courteous. great location for seeing the upper peninsula sites
Kimber-Lee
Good bang for your buck, beds were comfortable and our room was clean enough. Beautiful lake view
Hotel provide free shuttle to Shepplers ferry so that was a plus!

It was good for sleeping. But would not go back. Heard noises all throughout our stay (footballs on the 3rd floor, people laughing and running outside in the hallways, shadows of them outside at all times etc etc.) There were mayflies everywhere on the balcony window so we couldn't go out there or open them, and the beds really did a number on my back. Not to mention the check in location was in a different building up a huge hill, which was very inconvenient and stressful. I had to ask where it was.
Casey
Check in was easy and our room was ready when we arrived around 2pm. The view from the room was lovely. There was a balcony overlooking the lake, but we did not use it due to a high number of mosquito-looking bugs already enjoying it.
Brooke
Great location with breakfast included.
Michael
Nice facility right on Lake Huron
David
The location was very convenient, especially regarding shuttle service to the Mackinac Island ferry. The view of Lake Huron was lovely. All the staff were very helpful. The breakfast was good.
Sharon
The staff was friendly the room was nice and clean. the view from the balcony was great the place was very relaxing.
Rachel
The room was clean. Our sliding glass door lead to a small patio and beach area. Beautiful view. Large hot tub, nice pool. Staff was excellent! My son left his wallet in the room, after checkout. They called us, we was literally crossing the Ohio state line. They shipped the wallet to us. He had over $300 cash. It arrived in the mail with everything in it. Highly recommend this stay!
Deborah
Room and spa tub in room were very clean. Water pressure was good and very hot water but shower was made for very short people. Basic continental breakfast plus waffles. Coffee at office is very good. Ice machines were worthless as they were outside so they were filled with midges. Beautiful view of the lake.
Ricardo
Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, easy access. Quiet area and excellent views of Lake Huron. The only suggestion is to have more protein choices for breakfast.
Angela
Dave was very welcoming and gave us wonderful recommendations for dinner. The room was clean and in great condition. We will come back.
Sadie
Clean & comfortable room. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is typical waffles and bread and bagels and cereal, nothing fancy. Beautiful view of the island!
Shannon
Clean room, friendly staff
Edwineila
Hotel is near going to Mackinac Island
Norma
This hotel was a disappointment. The sheets were pilly and the towels were small and were very rough. The water pressure in the shower was very low. I realize it's an economy hotel, but we had better accommodations elsewhere at the same price.
Robert
View of lake stay was wonderful great stay
john
Friendly staff, nice shower, big refrigerator, nice lake view
Rayford
Hospitality from the front desk to breakfast to the cleaning personal excellent
Donna J
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and in great shape. Plenty of parking. The price was great. Great breakfast .
James
Beautiful lake view.
Ivan
Dave at the reception made the check in process very quick and simple, the restaurant recommendation was totally awesome!
Michael
Clean, waterfront, price
Ronald
The view of the lake is excellent. The room is clean and comfortable. No issues.
Reginald
Good overnight while travelling
Dave
This hotel is old. The elevator was broken. The ice machine was broken. In our room the bathroom fan did not work, the bathroom sink drain did not work properly, and the wheels on the chair at the desk did not work properly. The entire hotel looks old and outdated.
Christina
The balcony view and vibes were spot on. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I didn't eat breakfast but it looked like a lovely breakfast area. I would suggest some softer lighting options in the rooms but that didn't impact my lovely stay. The sound of the waves more than made up for it!
Scott
Amazing view over the lake from the balcony!
Thomas
Loved the
Lou
Liked the view from our lakefront room.
Kelsey
The room was comfortable and very clean. We would stay there again!
Jennifer
I have nothing bad to say about this place. I wished we could have stayed here our entire trip. Staff was amazing, rooms were updated and we stayed in one with a deck looking out onto Lake Huron. It was picture perfect. Wide variety for continental breakfast, too.
Diane
Very nice room.
Sherri
Not very clean. Spiderwebs with spiders in several places. The carped was not clean and it smelled weird.
Scott
Will stay again
Room was clean, great view, breakfast is bear essentials, not much protein to choose from.
Elaine
Beautiful view from our room breakfast good!
Tracy
We loved the lockable screen door on the balcony unfortunately the glass door didnt stay locked. I loved the roominess of the room and the sunrise on the lake was fabulous..the area for breakfast is just too small however we would stay again.
harold
Office and eating were uphill about 150 yard’s away from room
Terri
Clean. Good counter space for all our stuff. Best part being the water view right from the room. Staff very friendly. Offers shuttles to tour boat to Mackinaw Island.
Kim
Need lighting on the right side of parking lot road.
Jerred
Staff was very friendly, hotel has a great view of Mackinac island
Tasha
Location was convenient. Free shuttle to sheplars was great. Breakfast was very basic. Hot tub was barely operational, jets seemed to be worn out and graffiti and residual on inside shows it had not been cleaned for a while. Pool was clean and nice however. Patio door did not lock!! Just the chain for security. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall. Bathtub was pretty stained and silcone around towel bars had some mold growing. Walls are pretty thin, so every shower turn on and toilet flush could be heard. Lakefront area is primarily stones not like what is pictured in the photos. Parking is difficult if you arrive back after dark. You have to park at the top of the hill and walk down. Ice machines were quite gross and slimy. Beds were sucken in the middle and not very comfortable. Staff was polite and i formative. With other options on the same street, I would not stay here again.
Robert
The location was great on the shores of Lake Huron.
O'Neal
Best value and great service!
This place is amazing, right off a little beach. If you have a balcony room you get to hear the lake waves at night, see the moon over the lake, and you wake up to a spectacular sunrise. Do not hesitate to stay here. Great value and phenomenal staff!
Brenda
Nice Place to Stay
The patio in our room was a bonus - loved the view of the lake! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Parking got a little scarce late in the evening but it worked out.
Craig H
Great staff…reasonably priced for a tourist area.
LINDA
Nice place
Enjoyed our stay. Wonderful to watch the sunrise over the lake in the morning. I wish there were more restaurants within walking distance. We were able to ride our bikes to the ferry to Mackinac Island. Had a nice ride around the island and some shopping. Our room was clean and comfortable and thankfully air conditioned on such a warm stay. Very nice place.
Jason
Always clean
D'Marco
After having difficulties reserving our room through a third party reservation company, the staff did a really nice job at making accommodations for our stay to be perfect. The breakfast was great and the views were perfect. The rooms weren't as clean as I would have liked, but they weren't terrible either.
Nicholas
Amazing view, fantastic location, ice machines are kicking out the ice. It’s a up north classic hotel, smells like a cottage but is a comfortable stay and worth the views.
Nadiya
Front dest stuff was very nice. Helped with directions and shuttle.
Just hot tub didn’t work. Otherwise was nice and quiet

The parking was easy and convenient. The room was clean and somewhat quiet. I say somewhat because it was an adjoining room which they didn’t tell us at check-in, so we could hear everything from the next room. The balcony was nice with a great view of Lake Michigan. My only real complaint about the room was the sink didn’t drain very well at all. They did offer a continental breakfast but had NO tongs to use for the bread or muffins or the hard boiled eggs. Had keep using the plastic forks to get anything. Seemed weird…
Brian
Love this place! Great location and beautiful view! Will return!
Paula
The pool space was fun and the quick and free shuttle to the ferry dock made everything so easy for us
Luigi
The AC unit blows a musty odor. The lake sand smells terrible. My son tried to build a sand castle and when he started digging the sand, it smells terrible. Not sure about the cleanliness or quality of the lake if it’s safe to swim on it.
Joan
Nice view of the lake. Convenient to downtown area.
Sue
Staff was great
