Enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and quiet. The beds were great and we slight well both nights. The breakfast was solid; there were more options than most complementary breakfasts I've had. The only thing that could be improved was the air conditioning for our room gave a slightly musty smell.

The staff was friendly and the room was quiet and clean. The air conditioning worked well. The shower pressure wasn't very good. We weren't fans of the religious themes throughout the hotel. The television options were terrible - many hotels are switching to Roku or Amazon TV systems so guests can stream via their own accounts; this would be a major improvement.

Rooms were clean, bed are nice, hotel staff was so lovely. Perfect location, can get right in the bridge or go downtown St.igance. Only about 10 minutes to a nice beach area on Lake Michigan. Convenient location to visit Mackiac Island. So many more amenities than other hotels! Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast included. Bathroom is small and the room felt a bit of condensation due to the air conditioning and extreme heat outside. (We visited during a weather alert for extreme heat warning.) Room stayed cold though. I rented an Accessible Room, I am a Bilateral AKA traveler. There was a shower but the hand held shower head I could not reach if I could have used the bathroom! No wall fold down chair or shower removable chair. When questioned staff they stated that they meet ADA requirements! Yet they have violated every clause of ADA, false advertising. I could not use there breakfast amenities due to no room for someone in a wheelchair or for that matter a walker would not get through their facilities! If needing Accessible room go somewhere else!

Overall, the hotel is adequate. It was very dated but clean. The breakfast area is very small/tight, and the available food is limited. I'm 5'10\", and the shower head was too low for me. Surprisingly, I've never slept so good at a hotel before. I've stayed at hotels in the $450/night range, and something about this place was better for me for sleeping. I usually cannot stand hotel pillows, but these ones were good. Considering how inexpensive this hotel is, my expectations were met. I would stay here again.

Our room was super clean and comfy. The beds were VERY comfortable. The bathroom was super clean and well stocked with towels, soap and shampoo. Bed was decently comfortable. I stayed in the business king room, and it was a bit strange that the large tv was in the bedroom area while the smaller was in the living room.

We had 2 dogs with us for which they charged $25 per pet/night. The room was on the second floor...would definitely been more convenient on the first.

The room did have a fridge but no freezer section in it.

Overall the room and bed was good. Short ride to the ferry if you are going to Macinaw Island.

Not a ton of dining options nearby, trying to get a cross the street to them by foot was difficult traffic drives fast and there’s no crosswalk. Had to be switched rooms because the toilet didn’t work, then there was issues with the locks and keys multiple times. The pool appeared unsanitary so I didn’t let my kids swim in it. The room smelt like paint or some other chemical. The floor was dirty, we left as soon as possible, overall it was fine for a bed and place to stop for a short amount of time. The area outside of the hotel wasn’t the cleanest. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

The room looked nice, but was not well cleaned. The bathroom (especially the tub) was not cleaned well. The carpet in our room was quite dirty. The room had a strange smell that was not exactly gross, but not pleasant either. Smelled like a mixture of cheap chemicals, and old linens. The smell appeared to be coming from the air conditioner. Half of the equipment in the fitness center was either broken or completely worn out. The carpet in the lobby and stairs was not vacuumed well at all.

The only nice highlight was the pool and hot tub, both of which were very nice. Breakfast was ok.

Our room was in great condition and clean. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast…ok. The room was extremely small and hard to get around with so many people. We did not use the pool, but our friends did and it was super cloudy, which looked gross, but could have been from an over abundance of chemicals? Either way, cleanliness is always my top concern and this place was just that, so I would definitely stay here again.

I would consider this a budget hotel. There is a pool and workout facility that is well maintained but the hotel and the rooms seem a little outdated and in need of some updates. The shower head is great if you're under 5'6\" tall, otherwise your chest gets very clean. The rooms are clean but the furniture is a little worn. The fabric chairs look like people have been sitting on them in their wet bathing suits as there are stains on the seat. Bottom line, its OK but I would find another place to stay if we come back this way.

This was an all around bad experience from the very beginning. The property itself was very dirty and outdated. The moment we opened the door to the hallway in which our room was connected we immediately encountered a very undesirable odor. Our room was heavily sprayed with some sort of odor control chemical smell I had to use my inhaler immediately. The carper was extremely wet. The popcorn ceiling was brown with thick dust, everything was dusty. We wanted to leave but the room was already prepaid. I was going to take a loss but do to the Holiday everywhere around was already booked. The staff was rude at check in, we stood at the desk for at least 10 minutes while she conversed with the maintenance person in the hallway. The pool area was so overchlorinated your eyes physically burned upon entering, the pool service had loose pebbles, and the staff was rude to my husband about the timer in the hot tub before he even got in. I had to launder everything as soon as I got home that was in our room even clothes I didn't wear on the trip because they smelled of wet dog and mildew. The bed was literally sagging on the sides, and the bedding felt damp. If zero was an option I would give it. Probably the worst hotel stay we have ever had in our 30 years of traveling.
